In the classroom, Kaya was only staying in the class to keep eye on the kids as she can't teach the classes because the students are getting a new substitute teacher. Kaya watched the students as they entertained themselves while waiting. Kaya's eyes were glancing at Trent to keep eye on him while watching others.
"Hey, did you guys know we're supposed to get a new teacher today?" Ethan asked as he tossed another ball into the bag.
"Yeah. Any guesses?" Connor asked.
"Well, I heard from a very reliable source that it's this 80-year-old woman who used to teach kindergarten in Ohio," Cassidy spoke up as she stood at the Rangers' table.
"Really?" Connor looked unconvinced by her words.
Kaya saw Principal Randall open the door with the substitute to walk in.
"Class settles down," Kaya said.
"Good morning, class," Principal Randall greeted as everyone quickly took their seats, "I would like you to meet your new teacher, Dr. Anton Mercer."
The man walked in as the Rangers' eyes were wide. Kaya got a weird feeling from Anton Mercer even after meeting him the first time and knew that she needs to be careful around him.
"Morning, class," Anton greeted.
"Hey, she looks pretty good for 80," Kira commented.
Devin burst out laughing and Cassidy slapped his arm scowling at him.
"Ow! What? I thought it was funny," Devin defended with wide eyes.
"Dr. Mercer has graciously agreed to take over until your teacher gets back on his feet. I would like you to treat him with the same respect that you would treat Dr. Oliver," Randall told the students.
"Thank you," Dr. Mercer smiled at Randall as she walked off.
Kaya watched Randall leaves the room. She went to stand by the door to watch.
"Well... let me start by saying how honored I am to be here. What I'm handing out to you now are permission slips. These are for your parents to sign. We'll be going on a field trip tomorrow to a museum," Dr. Mercer explained, "I trust you will all be able to make it."
After school, Kaya left the school and headed to the house. Kaya forgot that Kira is coming with her heading back to the house. Kira caught up with Kaya and the girls were chatting on their way to the house. When they got to the house, the girls went into the Dino Lab and told the story to Tommy on who is taking his classes.
"That's great," Tommy said.
"You're kidding, right?" Kaya asked as she raises her eyebrow at her twin brother.
"No. I know you both think Anton is a little strange," Tommy said.
"Yeah, and Justin Timberlake's a little cute," Kira commented.
"Alright, he's a lot strange but he's brilliant. He taught me a lot about what I know. He'll be great," Tommy said.
"If you say so," Kaya murmured.
"He really is an amazing person, once you get to know him," Tommy said.
"Not me. He's giving me a weird feeling like giving off bad vibes," Kaya mumbled.
Tommy, Kaya, and Kira were going through some of the stuff. Then Kira noticed something and wasn't sure what is it.
"Hey, where does this go?" Kira asked.
"Oh, you'd better give me that," Tommy said as he took the bone from Kira after realized what it is.
"What is it?" Kaya asked.
"Just a bone," Tommy replied not telling the whole truth.
"Yeah, but why is it so important?" Kira asked.
Kaya agreed with Kira's question.
"It needs to be kept safely in my hands," Tommy said before putting the bone in the case and locked it, "Let's just put it away."
"Whatever you say," Kaya and Kira said.
The next day, Kaya didn't join the students at the museum as she was staying home with Tommy helping him out to find a way to get the suit power down.
"Nothing Tommy. I even ask Billy to see if he could help with the problem you are having," Kaya said, "But he won't be here for another month or two."
"Alright," Tommy said before his morpher went off.
"Dr. O, are you there? It's Kira," Kira contacted Tommy not knowing that Kaya is with him.
"Yeah, what's up, Kira?" Tommy responds quickly.
"I was out running just now, and I think I saw something by the edge of the old forest by the lake. It might be a DinoZord egg. Could you check it out for me? I gotta get home," Kira said in innocent.
"I'm on my way," Tommy said.
"Great. Thanks," Kira said.
"Does that sounds weird?" Kaya asked.
"I know but I am going check," Tommy said.
"OK. I will stay here just in case," Kaya said.
Tommy nodded and leaves on the ATV. Kaya watches her brother leaves and went to hide as she got a feeling that she needs to be out of sight to find out if Kira is telling the truth or not. Kaya saw Kira walked in and frowned that something wasn't right. Kira looked around before seeing the case and use Ptera Scream to break the lock. Kaya covered her ears while trying not to scream. Kaya took the bone out of the case when Tommy contacted Kira.
"Kira, it's me. I couldn't find anything out here," Tommy contacted, "Are you sure you saw something?"
"Oh, wow. I must've been wrong. Thanks for checking it out, Dr. O," Kira replied quickly.
"No problem," Tommy said ending the communication.
Kira laughed and leaves the lab. Kaya frowned as she could see that Kira is being minded control by someone as she would never do that. Kaya waited for Tommy to come back and she heard the boys' voices talking to Tommy. Kaya knew they must be here about Kira is acting strange.
"Guys, we got a problem. Kira isn't herself as she took the bone from that box," Kaya said.
"What?!" Tommy exclaimed and run to see that Kaya is telling truth.
"Yeah," Kaya said.
"So we got a bigger problem than that. This box contains the final bone of a creature that was created by Mercer and me years ago," Tommy said.
"What kind of creature?" Connor asked.
"Fossilador. We were trying to create a dinosaur at one time that had the power of mind control. We scrapped it when it got out of hand," Tommy explained.
"So that's why Kira isn't like herself and I was right about mind control," Kaya said.
Tommy nodded.
"As long as it had the main support bone, it could never come to life," Tommy said.
"And that's what was in that box," Connor said pointing at the box.
"Yes," Tommy said.
"Now, as long Kira is still under the mind control. We need to be prepared for the fight," Kaya said.
Then they heard the beeping sounds from the computer so Tommy went to check it after Hayley came in.
"I'm gonna take a wild stab and say that's your fossil monster?" Ethan asked.
"Unfortunately, it is," Tommy said.
"Any word from Kira?" Connor asked.
"Nothing. But I've been trying," Hayley said.
"Come to think, you guys. Where could she have come in contact with this thing?" Kaya asked.
"The museum. We went on a field trip with Dr. Mercer," Connor realized.
"Yeah, and she disappeared for a while. When she came back, that's when she started acting all weird," Ethan added.
"Hayley, you go to the museum and look for Kira. We'll try to hold this thing off," Tommy said.
"On my way," Hayley said as she got up and leaves.
"Better take the raptors," Tommy said.
"Don't have to convince me," Connor said.
Ethan, Connor, and Kaya went to morphed and took the raptors as Kaya rode with Tommy. On the way to the city to stop the monster, they were attacked by Zeltrax to stop them from going closer to the monster. They were fell off the raptors to see Zeltrax and Triptoids.
"You're not going anywhere. Triptoids!" Zeltrax said.
The Dino Rangers were starting to fight the Triptoids and Zeltrax.
"You guys go on. I'll deal with Zeltrax," Tommy said.
"And I'll handling those Triptoids," Kaya said.
"OK," Ethan and Connor said before leaving to summon the zords to combine.
Tommy and Kaya were fighting against the Triptoids and Zeltrax. Neither Tommy nor Kaya have seen Kira appears and were worried that something must have happened to Kira. Kaya heard some screeching sounds and quickly look up to see Kira on her zord heading toward the boys. Kaya smirked to see that Kira want to get the fossil monster back for controlling her mind.
"Huh? That's bad," Tommy murmured as he glanced up.
Tommy looked down to see Zeltrax was about to slash him so he blocked it. Kaya and Tommy continued fighting to beat Triptoids and Zeltrax. Tommy managed to beat Zeltrax as Kaya took care of the Triptoids.
"Looks like you lose again," Tommy said.
"Its matters not, Dr. Oliver. You Rangers are finished. And without them, you will be nothing," Zeltrax said before he vanished.
"I still don't know what his problem is," Tommy mumbled.
"Maybe he holds the grudge against you for something?" Kaya asked.
"Maybe," Tommy said.
Tommy and Kaya looked up to see the trouble.
"Hold on guys!" Kaya called.
"Kira, aim for the spot where you put the missing bone," Tommy called Kira, "That's where he's most vulnerable."
"You got it," Kira said.
Kaya and Tommy were watching and smiled seeing the kids managed to destroy the monster. When Kaya and Tommy return to the lab to wait for the kids to come back, Kaya was yawning and went to her room in the house as she didn't get to hear the conversation between the students and the teacher.
