Kaya was in her room when she heard that Kira called through the morpher about the problem. Kaya wasn't sure what is going on so she went to the Dino Lab to find out. Ethan, Kira, and Connor brought a tv that is cover in a black blanket.
"What is going on?" Kaya asked.
Kira told Kaya about what happened as Hayley went to scan the tv to see what she could do to help the poor guy. Kaya listens to Kira's story and thinking.
"This could be the end of one of the most popular shows ever made. We gotta do something," Ethan exclaimed.
"We'll figure it out, Ethan. Don't worry," Hayley told Ethan.
"Are you all right in there?" Tommy and Kaya asked.
"Am I all right? Do I look alright?" the man said, "I'm six inches tall!"
"People are so different on TV than they are in person," Kira said.
"It's true," Kaya said.
"Who are you? Where am I? I can't see a thing," the man asked.
Kaya sighed softly as she shakes her head.
"What do you think they wanted with Marty the Mackerel in the first place?" Connor asked.
"Sushi?" Ethan asked.
Kaya and Kira shrugged. Then the beeps went off from the computer cause everyone to looked at it. They see the fish monster with the fishing hook.
"I'm gonna take the reef out of Reefside," the fish monster said.
"There's your answer," Hayley replied.
"Smell something fishy, alright," Kaya mumbled.
"Hayley, see if you can figure out a way to get our friend back to normal," Tommy said, "We'll see if we can net the big fish."
The Rangers left the Dino Lab and headed out into the city to stop the fish monster. When they arrived, they saw Devin and Cassidy got reeled in by the fish monster.
"Oh, check that out," Kira said.
"That is something I would not like enjoy being reels by someone in the sky," Kaya mumbled as Tommy put his hand on his sister's shoulder.
"Alright, you guys ready?" Tommy asked as he steps back to let his students and sister morphed.
"Ready?" Connor asked.
"Ready!"
"DINO THUNDER, POWER UP. HA!"
"Dino Power!" the Rangers said.
The Rangers ran to the top of the building to stop the fish monster.
"Something fishy's going on," Kaya called out.
"You won't get a line on me," the fish monster said.
"We're gonna scale back on your operation," Ethan pointed at the fish monster.
"Not 'til I've caught my limit," the fish monster said.
"We'll fillet you!" Kira said.
"And your fishy jokes," Connor said.
"Not before you taste of my tuna surprise," the fish monster said before the blast at them.
The Rangers got hit and the only one that managed to escape to attack the fish monster was Connor. As soon as Connor keeps the fish monster distracted, the Rangers quickly get back up. Then the fish monster got Kira in the hook and pulled her. Kaya grabs Kira's legs, Ethan grabs Kaya's legs, Connor grabs Ethan's legs, Connor wraps his legs around Tommy's neck as Tommy holds Connor while holding onto something.
"Kira!" Kaya called.
"Hold on. Hold it together, guys," Tommy said.
"Well, this is the big one," the fish monster laughed.
The Rangers are working together not letting Kira go before the fish monster ease off the line. The Rangers fell on the ground since none of them are pulling for one second.
"Now I reel you in," the fish monster said as he reels Kira.
"Kaya!" Kira said.
"I got you!" Kaya said as she holds onto it.
The Rangers grabs each other to hold on before they could lose Kira.
"My armpits hurt," Connor complained.
"The stress level's increasing," Tommy yelled.
Before any of them knew, the fishing pole got broke and the Rangers fell to the ground crashing onto the ground. The Dino Rangers groaned at the pain after trying to hold Kira from taken.
"What just happened?" Kaya mumbled.
"My graphite salt-water pole is busted, but I'll be back, angling for another attack," the fish monster said before vanished.
The Rangers got up as the fish monster disappeared. They demorphed and headed back to the lab hoping that Hayley got some good news. When the Dino Rangers enter the lab, they were standing behind the TV.
"The energy that Marty the Mackerel is using to capture people in his bait jar is the same as the energy that was used to put the Funny Fisherman here in the TV," Hayley said as she put her hand on the TV.
"That's Funky Fisherman," the man said.
"Whatever. All you have to do is get him to fire his capture ray at the monitor, then deflect it with this reversal shield," Hayley explained as she hands the device out to Tommy.
"Thanks, Hayley," Tommy said as he took the device from Hayley.
"What about Marty?" Kira asked.
"He's still in the Mad Mackerel somewhere. The only way to free him is to destroy the Geno Randomizer's configuration," Hayley said.
"Where's that fish?!" the man yelled, "I heard that. That two-faced, hanger-on, fish-faced freak deserves to suffer for every bit of misery he's caused me!"
"Hey, that freak made you a star," Ethan said.
"More importantly, he's your friend. Or don't you know what that word means anymore?" Kira said.
"You may not deserve it, but you're about to get a second chance," Tommy said.
"They are right," Kaya said, "Let's go, guys."
After they morphed and headed out after taking the TV. Kaya holds the TV on her lap while Tommy drove the ATV to the scene. When they got there, Tommy and Kaya got off the ATV as Kaya put the TV on the seat.
"Come on guys, get into the position," Tommy and Kaya said.
The Dino Rangers ran over to the fish monster and ready to attack the fish monster. The Dino Rangers attacked at the same time at the fish monster. Before any of the Rangers could continue, the fish monster stopped them.
"Stop or the bait's fish paste," the fish monster said.
"Damn, we've gotta get that bait jar," Kaya growled.
"You're all fish food," the fish monster said before blasts them.
The Rangers were about to dodge it but they end up getting hits by the blasts. The Rangers were on the ground as the fish monster walked toward them.
"Marty, are you in there?" Kira asked.
"Marty's not here anymore," the fish monster said.
"Gimme your best shot," Tommy taunted.
"Gladly," the fish monster said.
Tommy was prepared for the attack as he grabs the device out of his back. The fish monster shoots at Tommy as Tommy used the device to free the man from the TV. The man was freed from the TV.
"It's a trick," the fish monster exclaimed.
"Thanks, Hayley," Tommy mumbled.
Kaya smirked knowing it is tricky for the fish monster to shoots at them and used him to get the man free from the TV. Kaya saw that the fish monster was distracting, so she kicked the bait from the fish monster and free the people trapped in the bait. Kaya smiled seeing that the people were free.
"That does it," Tommy said as he put his hand on his sister's shoulder.
"Yeah. Let's get that fish back to normal," Kaya said.
The Rangers nodded and used the Z-Rex Blaster to shoot at the fish monster. The fish monster tried to outrun from the blast but end up getting destroyed. Then the fish monster returns after the strange cloud brought the fish monster back. Tommy and Kaya watched the Rangers fighting the fish monster using their zords.
"Yes!" Tommy and Kaya cheered.
The fish monster went back to human size and transform back to normal. Kaya, Tommy, and the fisherman saw the fish man back to himself.
"Marty," the fisherman said.
"Oh... Funky?" the fish man mumbled.
"Marty, why do I get the strangest feeling I owe you an apology?" the fisherman asked.
"I don't know, but I sure feel like a tuna sandwich," the fish-man said, "Join me?'
"Sure, pal. Come on, my treat," the fisherman said.
"It sure is good to be back to normal," the fish-man said.
Kaya and Tommy watched both the fisherman and fish-man leaves.
"Who never thought that they would do the second chance to get to know each other?" Kaya murmured.
"Agree," Tommy agreed.
Kaya joined with the Dino Rangers to headed back to the studio to watch to make sure nothing happened.
