So I'm bored and don't have much else to do so thus this rare weekend update, this may or may not get mentioned in the story but the 'delicate work' that could not be interrupted was Leo, Raph and Mikey doing some 'psychic therapy' with some Psychic Mutant Animal Children who had been traumatized by their time in the lab, thus a combination of Mikey's Cheerfulness Raph's ability to empathize with their anger and Leo sharing his own story of dealing with PTSD and finding inner peace were all utilized to prevent the children from turning into 'Teenage Mutant Carrie' when they grew up similar to the psychic healing of the wind children in Cordwainer Smith's short story 'On the Storm Planet'

So it was set up that April, Casey, Samantha and Jonathan Crane would stay in the village and look after the children that would include Don and Belladonna's egg containing their soon to be hatched daughter and Demitri.

Edward Green in particular was worried about their ability to care for his son.

"Edward please!" Jonathan said "I know how to take care of a human infant, a baby mink can't be that different!"

"I should warn you…" Edward finally said "…He is…Teething."

That caused Jonathan some slight hesitance

"Oh dear…" He said realizing he would have to be dealing with a bitey little mustelid…

The rest would begin the journey towards the Space Port on the hill, they would have to travel on foot but it should only be an hour's walk.

Splinter called to inform them Don's brothers had finished their work and would soon be free to join them.

Sure enough only five minutes after leaving the village did Leo Raph and Mikey arrive, all were startled to find their brother had grown 20 feet tall!

"Whoa Donny!" Mikey exclaimed "What the shell happened to you?!"

Don was already getting tired of explaining, "We went to this cave." Don said "Fossil found a story carved into the cave wall telling the tale of Spirit called Belldandy who granted wishes…The story said she had been banished 'deep underground' so how was I supposed to know that meant that very shallow sea cave?!"

"OK, OK." Leo said "Calm down Don…" Leo was trying not to show it but he was little frightened by his brothers enormous size "How about you guys explain how the Humanimals were kidnapped…You said it had something to do with…Music?"

"It is a very famous piece of music," Belladonna said "Hymn to Pan # 5 every Humanimal knows it."

"I don't!" Marzipan interjected folding her furry arms, she hated that the Earth Humanimals kept forgetting Mizzer Humanimals weren't raised with the same culture as the born and bred Slave Humanimals.

Belladonna winced but she was going to explain anyway for the Mutant Animals and the Humans.

"Three thousand years ago…" She said "…There was a Cat-Man named Paul Silverwind who became a Bard his two most famous pieces of music was piece that hasn't been played since because it trove the humans wild…Many a night Paul would play on his Cat-Lute that compelled the Human Teenagers to dance wildly and then collapse on the dance floor…"

Don folded his arms and scowled this was sounding similar to the tale of the spirit that got him into this trouble in the first place…

"The other was the Hymn to Pan on the surface seemed he was just paying tribute to the Ancient Greek Myths but hidden in the instrumental poem it tells the story of the Humanimals' struggle against their masters…When he was still young Paul escaped to the wild where he shared his music with the wild Humanimals, they carved the notes to the Hymn to Pan on many a cave wall so it could be remembered long after Paul went to the Great Forest in the Sky thus almost all Shamans learn the Piece and play it at many a Humanimal Religious Gathering."

"Is all this true?" Don asked irritably "Or is this one fancifully embellished?"

"Don!" Belladonna exclaimed offended

"No I'm serious!" Don said "It's exactly this habit of claiming tall tales are 100 percent true is why I'm stuck like this in the first place!"

In his tear he got his toes caught by a tree root, he wobbled and began to fall backward….And Marzipan happened to be standing behind him at that time!

Fortunately Marzipan was a Cat…And her Feline Speed and Reflexes enabled her to quickly run out of harm's way right before Don landed on his butt with a crashing thud!

As Don groaned and rubbed his sore rear he turned his head and saw Marzipan shaking in Ichabod's arms.

"Marzipan!" Don quickly said "I…I'm so sorry!" Then his hand touched the edge of his carapace he realized that he wouldn't have merely just crushed Marzipan, the edge of his shell with that much force could have sliced the poor Cat-Girl's body in two!

Horrified what might have happened Don quickly got up and ran away yelling "Shell! I'm not safe around you guys!"

"Donny!" Belladonna called and she raced after him "Donny wait!"

So remember what I said about Wind in the Willows? Well in that story the Greek God Pan is apparently Jesus for the Animals…It makes sense in context, the Humanimals don't worship Pan but the knowledge of Pan as God of the Wilds is a sly way of the Cat-Bard for saying the song is really about Humanimals
