The council chambers rang with applause and happiness followed by a moments of sadness at the last scroll of information at the bottom. A compiled list of enemy kills and friendly losses over the last day of operations

The council sat at the table situated at the center of the room where tablets had been set out for each of them scrolling more information King Regulus IV of Virgon spoke first.

"First I would like to say congratulations for everyone's cooperation. I call Operation Revenge a success almost two hundred basestars destroyed and almost as awesome our innovative underlings even managed to capture and as their original missions were underway proceeded to scavenged the wreaked toaster ships to repair and even upgrade what was it…" he paused to scroll for a moment "..Ah yes fourteen of the cylons basestars crewing them with survivors from the relatively few ships we lost as well as military survivors on the ground."

As the king paused Captain Caleb Blyth grand commander of the combined Irregulars continued "Speaking of rescued people I'd like for everyone to look at the total number of survivors when combined with the total of people recovered during Operation Revenge who by themselves are nearly two and a half million add that to the people we had amassed here on Troy's surface, the dozens of orbital stations and the huge fleet of one hundred and eight Agro ships and we have a total of nearly a billion people to go in just over a month from fifty billion to just over one as far as we know we are still counting people on Caprica, Virgon and Leonis from the looks of the numbers we have received so far Leonis is going to be the best off with nearly a 80% survival rate both Caprica and Virgon are in the low sixties."

Leonis President Jacob Aequitas took his turn "With Caprica, Virgon and my own Leonis back under our control we need to start cleanup of the irradiated blast zones particularly on Caprica as they were the most heavily built up and thus targeted with more ferocity then Virgon and Leonis together. Now in that regards we are lucky since the attacks happened we have been slowly building up a radiation absorbing foam to deploy I propose we concentrate all our efforts for the time being into Caprica." The discussions began immediately and stopped just as quickly as he continued "Simply for the fact Caprica's massive cities are dead zones but the vast majority of the buildings are intact. Once the buildings are safe and the former residents can be buried with respect, people could move in immediately. Whereas our worlds either don't have the residential available or our people are coming home to their residences are still standing."

Admiral Teresa Colons stood as the last to speak. "Sound words Mister President and your reasons are without flaw. However before we continue this I believe we should see what this Priority council eyes only message is about from my predecessor." With several nods she played the message.

The video began and showed Colonel Jacob Ward standing on the bridge of his flagship the Heavy carrier Maximus. In the background they could see the tactical board showing his fleet the captured basestar and the dissipating field of wreckage.

"Honored council, I greet you from the recently liberated Caprica with startling news upon our victory here in orbit I ordered vipers and raptors to begin targeting cylon forces on the ground as per the plan however a few seconds after the planetary jammer was destroyed we received this message from the surface." He held up a tablet computer and hit the screen. "BEEEEEEEEP BEEEEEEP BEEEEEEEEEP BEEEEEEEP….BEEP BEEP…. BEEEEEEEEEP BEEEEEEEP BEEEEEEEP" he put the tablet down and looks back into the camera. "As you no doubt know that is the president distress code. In the event that Adar is alive I think it would be a good idea for the council to come to Caprica by time you arrive I should have more answerers one way or another." With a sharp salute the video shut off.

Speechless they looked at one another as three of them openly seethe in anger hundreds of millions of their people are dead. Entire swaths of their worlds are in radioactive ruin. The Admiral however is torn between her career long loyalty to her President and a tsunami of anger at the man who had gutted the entire colonial Military with his budget cuts for years. Add into the mix the limitations he imposed on the individual colonies… her mind flashes to what could of happened if Leonis, Virgon and the others if they had been allowed to have as large as they wanted planetary guard… the lives that would have been saved….the difference of the last month… together all at once they said in unison "we go to Caprica"
