After traversing through the ruins Katsuo had made to the gates at the bottom of Mount Lanayru, the ruined path that used to lead the grandparents of the Hylian safely to the Spring of Wisdom now slowly tumbles down into the lake below. Katsuo now stood under the collapsed archway, the once beautiful stone now cracked and covered in green mosh, and the brick laid road now over taken by the grass and flowers.
"And nature has reclaimed this land," he told no in particular.
Stepping in further Katsuo was not met with any hostile hurdles. Yet. But the tranquil peace of the birds chirping and the winds whispering will soon be interrupted as a territorial asshole spots an uninvited trespasser. A lone wander peacefully walking through what was clearly once was a path to sacred springs of one of the three godesses people come to pray and pay tribute to their history and culture, not on this Lynel's watch. The red mane lion horse man thing reached for his bow, he then notches an electric arrow from his quiver pulling back the string.
"Hmm?" Katsuo stops noticing the large speck in the distance, "Looks like I'm not alone. What is that stranger doing?"
Calculating the distance between the Lynel pulls back on the string further bending back on the bow harder, and takes aims by looking straight up into the sky letting lose a volley. Both Katsuo and the Lynel watched arrows climb higher and higher into the air turning straight down after reaching their furthest range now with the aid of gravity making their way to Katsuo's position as they arched on over. But before they were about to hit their mark Katsuo simply took a couple of steps to the side, the arrows missing, and breaking on the brick road.
The Lynel gasps in dramatic shock to how the lone Samurai evaded his skillful marksmanship so easily, clearly he wasn't dealing with no ordinary traveler, so the Lynel had to deal with the newcomer with a more face-up approach. Drawing his sword and shield, he braced his left (shield) arm in front of himself while raising his sword up high over his head. Seeing the right front hoof kick dirt Katsuo took it as a sign that the creature was about to charge so he took his stance, hovering over his right hand over the hilt of his sword as he pushed the blade out by an inch with his left thumb. The two stood still like mountains and the wind flowing between them like water and a tumbleweed rolling pass.
The Lynel then kicks up both his front hooves roaring out in attack, the hulking creature charges forth, a trail of dust left behind as he gallops, but Katsuo stood his ground timing the seconds flying by, and as it looked like the Lynel was about to run him over it brought down his sword. Katsuo then flicked out his blade parrying the strike perfectly with the sounds the blades ping-ing off eatch other sending the Lynel staggering. Katsuo then leaps forward with a flying kick right in the center of the Lyenl's abdomen knocking the wind out of him. Bending down the Lynel growls in anger it took swap striking Katsuo sending him flying aside the field landing into a cluster of bolders. Katsuo whole body slamming against the hard stones, his weapon falling out his hand, the Lynel stood back on his four hooves recovering from the attack.
Katsuo sees his sword laying before him, but it laid too far from him to retrieve, the Lynel will run him before he could make it, he was defenseless. As it seems like it was the end of one of the three heroes, but then. The stones he had his back to suddenly began to tremble, shift and turn, they were beginning to move, they starting to align themselves from smallest to biggest in a curved line like a serpent. When the head was revealed it had tall narrow fin, it had a mouth, and two life-filled eyes, Both Katsuo and the Lynel stood in frozen awe.
An Onix has shown itself targeting the Lynel.
It used, iron tail, on Lynel scoring a direct hit: it was very effective.
The Lynel had all of his health depleted and so faint in battle: Onix wins.
As the body of the Lynel evaporates into black smoke the Onix turned its head to Katsuo who still sat on the ground starring straight at it wondering what it was gonna do next, maybe of he stood still it will ignore him. After an intense stare down the Onix blinks showing a sign that it was losing interest and show turns away to slither on out knocking over an ageing column, the stones cracking into pieces. As the giant creature disappeared Katsuo went to reclaim his sword the top block from the column revealed a hidden compartment inside containing a small wood case. Katsuo saw that case was old, the wood covered in dust and decaying pieces that was long forgotten. No need for a key as the timber surrounding the hinges came off, the lid was removed, and Katsuo found something rewarding.
Da Ne Na NNAAAAA!
Katsuo found a hookshot.
"Very good," he said in joy.
Now he can add that to his arsenal and ascend up the mountain.
\Necluda Sea/
After parting from Hateno Village, David, hopped on a raft with Link ready with a giant leave, setting right in front of the sail David held on tight as Link blew on the sail pushing them forward, the water rushed under the bundled timber the spray of the sea glistening through the air as the cut through. It won't be long until they make to port at Lurelin Village.
But until then at the coastal village the people of traders and fishermen, the children will be out in the sun playing with the dogs, their fathers catching dinner, and their mothers doing the chores. All was perfect in this small village... that is before the bokoblin's on their fort not far from there- like seriously they're right next door to each other, how is that place not constantly being burn to the ground by now?- decided to come down. The bokoblins came at the village with their primitive weapons of clubs, spears, and arrows.
"The monsters! the monsters are attacking!" one of the villagers cried out in terror.
The bokoblins ransacked the town and the people flee in terror, except one, as a young a man just returned home he found it a lit, and now he found himself running for his life again. The young man cried like a little bitch as a bokoblin chased him around with a spiked club, the young saw his life flash before his eyes-
"OH GODDESS!" he mentally screamed in his own head, "I'm gonna die a virgin!"
He then trips on a rock stumbling upon the sand face first, he looks up seeing the bokoblin blocking out the sun with his club hanging over his head, his over... until. A tip of an iron spearhead bursts through the chest of the bokonlin drops the club and crumbles over dead revealing the person who saved the young man. It was an elderly man, his wrinkled skin tanned, his hair absent on his crown area, but long and flowing by the sides, and chin, grey with age as he wore nothing, but purple trousers with a red sash as a belt. As the young man ran for safety, Orca, the village elder stood alone facing down the horde of monsters.
"Uncle!" a sweet voice cried to help the village flee to safety Orca's great niece, Sue-Belle, cried out for him, "Uncle! it's not safe!"
"I'm no cowered, young lady! I'm not letting a mob chase us out," Orca protested.
"Just leave the stubborn old coot," Sturgeon urged his gand-daughter to just leave his brother.
"Can you two stop fighting for once!" Sue-Belle pleaded for their cooperation.
But as they argued Orca was caught off guard by a giant moblin, the monster towered over all as the rest of the mob closed in, the moblin swung his giant club over his head as it gave a monstrous cry. Sue-Belle cried in plea for her great uncle, but just when the monster was about to strike down his opponent an arrow struck the moblin right on his horn dazzing him. That arrow that saved Orca's life came from the sea and there Sue-Belle, Sturgeon, and Orca saw a raft come close to shore with the famed Hyrule warrior Link, and giant man in a steal suit of armor. They never seen a man so massive as he, leaping into the water the waves only reaching up his knees, but still marched on forth with a giant sword in one hand.
The Moblin recovers and sees David coming right for him and was about ready to swing only for David's blade to lob the arm the monster held his club, the arm goes landing on the sand. Sue-Belle saw the knight save her uncle, but Orca had a closer view of the violence. The Moblin cried in agony as he held his bleeding stump, as the beast wailed David bashed his shoulder into his chest toppling the monster over to the ground. David show no mercy towards the monster swinging down his sword to cleave the Moblin's narrow skull. Again and again David hacked away at the monster, his sword now a cleaver chopping away the bokoblins to pieces and pummeling them to a bloody pulp with his steal clad fists.
Sue-Belle ran to her unlce's side to lift him up, but Orca and her were too enthralled in the violence that David was committing, the roars he cried over the monsters' dying screams, their weapons did nothing to fight off the knight only bouncing off him with no effect. Even when Link came to help Orca back up he was too distracted examining the way David swung his sword. At one point seeing him grab hold of his blade bringing it down to chop through a bokoblin's shoulder, and kicking the beast off to free the blade. He continued to hold his sword upside down smashing the bottom end of the sword into the faces of the monsters. All the monsters that tormented and attack the defenseless, scared people of Hyrule for a century were no match against a massive battle harden man brought up in war-torn lands, now they were the ones running away in terror.
The monsters fled back to their fort and at that time the reoccurring rain poured onto the burning seaside town putting out the fires.
"Come on back everyone!" David called onto villagers, "The monsters have been vanquished, you can all return home!"
Men, women, and children all eventually returned to although damaged home, was safe. Everyone was happy and cheered of the David's single handed victory over the monsters. While everyone was happy Orca was both glad that the raid was over, but was disappointed that he no longer as of a fighter he once was, his brother too was feeling incapable compared to his younger years, so seeing a young warrior like, David, coming out victorious brought up some nostalgic memories.
"But what if the monsters come back down from their fort once their resurrected?" Sue-Belle spoke in concern believing that this will make the monsters vengeful of their defeat.
"Well that red moon from hell might bring back from dead," David admitted, but he didn't sound stumped, "But that moon can't resurrect their fort."
David proposes as he brought up a (yet to lit) torch as the monsters will soon have to find a new away from the village.
"Who is that man, uncle?" Sue-Belle asked.
"That there my niece is a knight," Orca answered her admiration.
Ok, now here's Gunnar.
\Dueling Peaks/
Passing though the mountains the usually bubbly viking warrior was forced to take shelter under abandon monster tree house as the rain came pouring down on him, halting his journey.
"... This sucks," Gunnar complained.
