Mastergamer here. Sorry about the long wait. But, here is part 2 of the Tokusatsu Remnant Trilogy.

Shochokishi Sentai JNIPR

(Emblem Knight Squadron JNIPR)

Chapter 1: Symbolic Rebirth

The Anti-Law and Experiment Group Star Busters.

A group of intergalactic criminals that seek to overthrow all law in the galaxy, mostly through scientific experimentation. For what reason, unknown, but the group possess the resources and cold-heartedness to follow their current path.

The group came to be around 10 years ago, but only acted on their machinations about a year and a half ago. Knowing that time and patience was needed to reach the position needed to enforce their will on the galaxy, the Star Buster quietly gathered resources and built their strength, while other evil forces such as the Space Empire Zangyack, the Interdimensional Crime Group Gangler, the Space Crime Organization Makuu, even the multiple incarnations of Shocker threatened the galaxy. Only after such groups fell into ruin did the Star Busters finally reveal themselves and started causing mayhem to the galaxy.

During their campaign of terror, through pure chance, they discovered the world of Remnant. A world where people could unlock special powers, from their 'souls' if they are to be believed. Scanners indicated that Remnant didn't have spaceflight capabilities, not even satellites in orbit, meaning that they had no one to call for help when the Star Busters invaded. Due to surprise and having no preparations against extraterrestrial invaders, most of Remnant's forces accumulated multiple loses, but soon enough, the experienced huntsmen and huntresses of Remnant adapted and fought back. It wasn't enough to repel the invaders, but just enough that the Star Busters had to work for victory. Resorting to guerilla tactics and cloak and dagger, the natives are able to keep the Star Busters at bay. At this point, it will be a while before all of Remnant falls at the hands of the Star Busters. Though that doesn't mean they haven't suffered anymore loses to the aliens.

One of the objectives of the Star Busters were to capture some of the populace, preferably those who've awakened their aura, and study their abilities. Some huntsmen and huntresses found themselves overwhelmed and taken by the alien forces. Some would struggle with all their might; some would reluctantly accept their fate.

One group were the former.

"—and another thing! If you guys don't have any legs to break, then I'll break your arms! And if you don't have any arms to break, then I'll—"

Let it be known that Nora Valkyrie would not take being taken prisoner sitting down.

Ironic, considering her restraints had her sitting down in the cell she shared with Jaune and Ren.

The guards standing in front of their cell, though they couldn't understand the redhead in her native tongue, had long since gone passed annoyed to looking downright murderous at the huntress who hasn't stopped talking in the last three hours.

Three. Damn. Hours!

They don't think she even stopped to take a breath.

Orders be damned. If it meant they didn't have to listen to the short woman, they would welcome any tongue lashing they'd get from the captain for leaving their posts. Nodding to each other in agreement, the two towering, armored aliens swiftly left the brig.

"—and another thing, I—oh, you're gone. Well now who am I gonna yell at to pass the time." Nora's incessant raving quickly turned to boredom now that she no longer had the guards to annoy, "Well, since we're alone now, maybe it's time for one of you two to spring that escape plan you were concocting this entire time."

"(sigh) no Nora, we haven't been coming up with a plan." A depressed Jaune replied to Nora, also restrained to the floor like her.

"So, I've been talking the whatever-passes-for-ears off of the guards for nothing? Ugh, lame."

"Well, have you unloaded you anger at our current situation?" Ren asked. Nora looked up in contemplation before answering.

"A bit, now I'm somewhat indifferent, and a little bit hungry. What do you think the alien equivalent to pancakes is?"

"Nora, I don't think feeding us is one of their higher priorities right now." Replied Jaune, "Besides, you wouldn't know if it was edible for humans."

"That is a chance I will gladly make you take for me, oh fearless leader." Nora spoke, her unashamed smile just made Jaune sigh.

"I guess all we can do now is wait until we get to wherever it is these guys are taking us." Ren solemnly spoke.

"And then we jump them as they take off our fancy, alien handcuffs?"

"I don't know, Nora, we really didn't do that much damage before they took us down." Jaune replied, feelings of self-disappointment surfaced as he recalled their, ultimately, futile efforts at staving off the first wave of the invasion. Nora's face fell as she too remembered the moments leading up to their capture before forcing herself to cheer up a bit.

"Well, at least we can make their jobs as miserable as possible."

Jaune just chuckled softly at that. Looking at his bound teammates made him think about the others back at Atlas; Team RWBY and Penny split off from them to lessen the numbers against them, Maria and Pietro stayed back with a group of civilians, they couldn't find Qrow after they heard about his arrest, the Ace-Ops were so busy fighting the aliens that they didn't even glance in their direction when they happened upon them, and Jaune couldn't even imagine how Ironwood was reacting to the sudden invasion. Whatever was going on back home, Jaune and his team were being taking further away by the minute, and that is what upset him the most.

If only an opportunity to escape presented itself.

Boom!

The three members of Team JNR looked around in shock as the ship started to shake after what felt like something powerful impacted the haul. Alarms sounded as the ship continued to rattle as more impacts were felt by the trio. Minutes that felt like hours passed before the impacts stopped and the ship ceased shaking. Klaxons still blaring, Jaune looked to his teammates, confusion and alarm on their faces as well. Before he could speak up…

CRASH!

Attention drawn to the entrance to the brig, the Remnant natives witnessed the door had been broken down, with one of the guards currently crumpled on top. A second later, the second guard was sent flying through the doorway and slammed into the wall at the other end of the room, sliding down as he faded into unconsciousness. Incredible looks on their faces, the young hunters looked towards the entrance when the sound of footsteps appeared.

A figure came walking into the room. It looked to be male and was wearing a suit made from some sort of spandex or leather. From the waist down, it was clad in blue pants and blue boots with gold rims. A gold belt adorned its waist, carrying what looked to be an advanced pistol on its left side and a golden saber on its right. On its front was a belt buckle that looked like a square frame, within it was something Jaune couldn't make out.

Its upper body was clad in a sleeveless blue top, the front of it was covered in golden embroidery that formed what looked like a heraldry of a griffon. Its arms were covered in a dark-grey material that resembled chainmail. White gloves with blue embroidery covered its hands and gold pauldrons covered its shoulders; the left one round and the right was angular and ended in a point. Four frames similar to the one on its belt dotted the length of its right arm; two on it forearm and two on its bicep.

Covering its head was a helmet that resembled a knight's helm. It was mostly blue, with a black 'T' shaped visor outlined in gold.

All in all, the figure had the appearance of a knight of old. Its gaze searched the brig before landing on Team JNR's cell. It walked up to the green forcefield that kept them in, taking a brief look at it before turning to the control panel to the left of the cell. Raising its hand, it inputted a combination of keys before a beeping was heard and forcefield turned off. Jaune stared cautiously as the blue figure stepped into their cell and stood before him.

"Uh… hi?"

The figure only tilted its head at the blonde's attempted greeting. It then crouched down before him and reached over to the right cuff, which was where a keypad was located. Just like with the cell's forcefield, a series of button presses had unlocked the restraints that bound Jaune's arms and legs to the floor. The blonde leader shook his sore hands as he staggered onto his feet, the blue figure moving to free Ren.

"Okay, did these guys also capture Clover and put him in another part of the ship?"

"I doubt it, but I believe this is one of those situations where you don't look a gift horse in the mouth." Ren replied as he massaged his now free hands. Being forced to kneel for three hours wasn't a comfortable experience. Then again, there was that one-time Ren kneeled in meditation for twenty-four hours straight because Nora didn't believe anyone could muster up such patience and tranquility, Ren was more than happy to prove her wrong. It almost made the five hours of no feeling in his legs and severe hunger afterwards worth it.

"Freedom!" Nora yelled as the figure finished unlocking her restraints. The redhead quickly shooting up and proceeded to do some jumping jacks to get the blood in her limbs pumping, "Not that I'm complaining, but I was just a few minutes away from breaking free and taking down these alien creeps."

"How?" Jaune asked.

"Eh, I figure with all the bad luck we've had so far, we were due for a miracle or something to help us."

The two boys could only shake their heads at their teammate; let it be said that the redhead didn't let anything keep her down for long. Now free, the three then turned their attention to the blue figure.

"Uh, thanks for freeing us." Jaune spoke in gratitude. The figure just stared at him before turning around and walking out of the cell. It stopped at the brig's entrance before turning back to Team JNR, gesturing them to follow. The three looked to each other.

"Well, anything's better than staying here." Jaune stated. With no other path before them, Team JNR decided to follow the blue figure.

In the short time it took them to reach an airlock, the group came across an armory which thankfully held the hunters' weapons. The hallway that contained the airlock was littered with unconscious aliens. Standing above them were what looked to be soldiers; completely different from the figure in blue, these guys were clad in silver knight-like armor with a coat of arms on their left pauldrons that showed a dragon, a griffon, a lion, a stag deer, and a hawk. Noticing the group walking down the hallway, the soldiers stood at attention and saluted the blue figure.

"&aDK s?#ks." One of the soldiers spoke to the blue figure. Of course, the Remnant natives had no idea what was said.

"What do you think they're talking about?" Jaune asked his teammates as he watched the blue figure speak with the soldier.

"Don't know, but considering they freed us and aren't showing us aggression, I think it's safe to assume they're friendly." Ren replied, curiosity in his gaze as he looked around at the armored soldiers.

"Do you think if we asked real nicely, they'll let us fly their ship?" Nora asked with a grin on her face.

"First off, we clearly can't understand each other. Second, you don't how to fly a bullhead, let alone a spaceship." Jaune rebutted.

"If I don't crash into anything, then I probably did a good job." Nora retorted, causing Jaune to shake his head in exasperation.

The trio's attention was back on the blue figure as it walked over to them, holding something in its hand. Standing before them, it raised its hand and showed them what was in it. They appeared to be three small metal ear buds. Raising its other hand, the figure gestured to the side of its head. The message was clear.

"Does it want us to put those things in our heads?" Jaune asked cautiously.

"It looks like it. Maybe they're devices that'll help us communicate?" Ren gave his observation. After a few seconds, he reached out to pick one up, "No sense to free us from prison only to harm us now."

"Eh, if they are some sort of trap, I'll just break its legs." Nora commented nonchalantly as she grabbed one of the earbuds. Jaune looked to the remaining earbud for a few seconds before slowly reaching out for it.

The trio proceeded to place the earbuds into their left ears. Once in place, the hunters waited for the devices to do what they were intended. A few seconds passed and nothing happened, it seemed like these things were—

Zap!

"Ah!"

"(grunt)!"

"Ooh, tingly."

The trio were given the not so pleasurable experience (at least to Jaune and Ren) of an intense shock directly into their ear canals. What followed was a brief, but strong, feeling of lightheadedness.

"Uh, I haven't felt this dizzy since the time Ruby thought we could invent aura bombs by blowing aura infused air into balloons." Jaune recalled the time back at Beacon that ended with both their teams out of breath and a room filled with non-bomb-like balloons that popped so loudly they busted their eardrums.

"Don't worry, the sensation will pass in a few moments."

A male voice spoke to the trio, drawing their attention back to the blue figure. The figure, now confirmed as male, reached up to his head. With a hiss of escaping air, the helmet he was wearing opened up, allowing the man to remove it. When Team JNR saw the man's face, they were understandably shocked.

Another human was standing before them; he appeared to be in his early twenties, with short black hair and blue eyes, as well some stubble on his face. A small vertical scar could be seen on his right temple.

"Y-you're human?! Did you come from Remnant?" Jaune asked in surprise.

"If you're talking about the planet you came from, then no I'm not." The man said, a contemplative look appeared on his face, "I'm guessing from your question that your people don't travel to space often."

"Not at all, actually. We haven't been able to build any ships that can exist the atmosphere." Ren replied, "Which makes the fact that you're human all the more shocking."

"Well, you'll be surprised to learn that humans have evolved on multiple worlds, we're practically the most common species in the galaxy."

That bit of info really threw the hunters for a loop; it also called into question what they learned about Remnant's origins. But right now, different questions needed to be answered.

"Ok, so, who are you?" Jaune asked.

"My name is Ioan Ulmar Anglicus and I'm a knight-paladin of The Order of Kamolie of the planet Avalon-4. Me and my squad of squires were out on patrol when we just happened across this Star Buster ship. Records showed that this model of ship is usually used to transport so called 'test subjects' to various bases hidden throughout the galaxy."

"Test subjects?! You mean these guys were taking us somewhere to experiment on?!" a shocked Jaune exclaimed.

"Yes. The Anti-Law and Experiment Group Star Buster, they are a criminal organization that basically has its hands in every illegal activity in the galaxy, with their bread-and-butter being live experimentation. The moment we detected this vessel, we knew we couldn't wait for back up. So we performed a sneak attack and were able to board the ship while the Star Busters were scrambling about. It was a gamble that paid off very well."

"Considering that the alternative we had to look forward to was being under a scalpel, then I have to agree with you." Ren commented.

"I told you guys we were due for some good luck." A happy Nora stated before turning to Ioan, "While I'm a bit sad that I won't be able to kick some alien butt right now, at least we can get back home and kick alien but over there. So, think you can give us a lift?"

"Maybe, but considering that you said that your planet hasn't achieved space flight yet may mean that it hasn't been discovered yet. You said your planet's name is Remnant?"

"Uh, yeah." Jaune said, now feeling a bit uncertain. Ioan reached behind his belt and pulled out what looked like a very old model of a scroll (flip phone). Flipping it open, he pressed a few buttons and seem to read what was on the screen. After a few seconds, a frown appeared on his face as he closed scroll-like device and put it back on his belt.

"Sorry, but of all the pre-spaceflight worlds that have been discovered by the government and are currently under observation, the planet 'Remnant' is not among them, so its coordinates aren't known."

That was definitely not something the trio wanted to hear. If it was true, then that meant that no one knew where Remnant was, which mans that they never get home again nor see Team RWBY, Oscar, Qrow, or any of their friends again. The trio's heads bowed down in shock and depression. What were they going to do now?

"Actually…"

All heads turned to one of the squires as he spoke up.

"The fact that these three are here means that their planet was discovered, by the Star Busters. Which would mean that they have the coordinates to Remnant. So, all we have to do is…"

"Check the logs in their navigation computer and backtrack to their world." Ioan realized, he them turned to another squire, "Head to the bridge and look over the navigation computer, I want those coordinates."

The squire saluted before running down the corridor. Ioan then turned to Team JNR.

"While he does that, why don't we get you off this ship; once we've learned all we can from its computers, we're gonna blow it up. You can get some grub as we head back to Avalon-4."

The three looked to each other as their moods were starting to rise. Nodding their heads in agreement, the trio followed Ioan as he led them through the airlock and back to his ship. The remaining squires either followed the group or dispersed to search for anything else of value on the ship.

When the corridor was empty, what looked like a crack in the air appeared before the sound of broken glass sounded out. Out of nowhere, a small form appeared out of thin air for a moment before it suddenly changed shape, now resembling one of the squires. The imitation looked around before walking out the airlock.

The trip to Avalon-4 was pretty uneventful, aside from watching a ship blow up, and Team JNR were currently residing in the bridge of Ioan's ship. The planet came into view, revealing it to be a balance of natural landscape and cities meant for civilization. Ordinarily, seeing another planet would've been amazing for the Remnant natives, but their spirits were down after recent news.

It would appear that during the skirmish to take control of the Star Buster ship, a stray shot impacted with the navigation computer rendering it completely inoperable and all data within lost. Remnant's location was lost to them for now. They did hold on to some hope when Ioan mentioned that other Buster divisions might have Remnant's coordinates.

As the ship entered the planet's atmosphere, the hunters saw the city they were headed towards grow closer. It was circular in shape and had completely dwarfed the floating city of Atlas by being three times the size. The city seemed to be divided into ten sections, the first seven being different boroughs of various urban levels (one borough looked completely suburban and another seemed to be mostly populated by factories of various purposes.) and the remaining three resembling a mountainous area, a valley area, and a forest area, the last one being the largest as it encircled the entire city. An ocean laid a few miles west from the city. Team JNR looked in awe of the giant metropolis. Ioan saw their expressions and chuckled.

"What you're looking at is Avalon-4's capital city of Dragonpenn; it was the first settlement to be constructed by our early ancestors as well as home to Kamolie's headquarters, which is where we're going." The knight in blue explained as the ship headed towards the city's centermost section.

Before long, the craft came upon a large facility that resembled a five-story castle. The ship landed on a dock attached to the facility. Minutes later, Ioan led the young hunters off the ship and towards the building's entrance. Once inside, Team JNR were welcomed to the sights of tapestries, suits of armor from various ages, different coats of arms, practically anything that came to mind when one thought of the Middle Ages. There were also modern sights such as computers, tv monitors, holograph displays, and other such things in the huge lobby they were in.

Ioan led the group to an elevator and proceeded to take them to the top floor. He then led them to a sort of living quarters. Team JNR sat on a couch as Ioan stood in front of them. Reaching to his belt buckle, he lifted up the top of the frame after which he removed a small, shield-shaped badge-like object. He was then covered in a blue light for a moment before it faded, revealing that he was no longer wearing his blue outfit. He was now clad in a light-grey military-style uniform; the jacket had blue cuffs and shoulders and above his heart was an emblem of a blue shield with a plus sign in the center surrounded by crescent moon symbols. He wore black pants and grey boots. The small frames that were on his blue outfit remained on his right arm.

"Whoa! How'd you do that? Are you magic?!" Nora asked with excitement.

"Something like that." The older man replied, putting the small object in his pocket, "Now, until we're able to sort through all the info we got from the Buster ship, you three will be staying here for a while. You're free to tour through the facility, but I advise you to stay out of the restricted areas. There are cafeterias in the second and fourth levels if you're hungry, so ask any of the employees. Be sure to be back here by the end of the day so we can go over what the technicians figure out." After that, Ioan walked out of the room, leaving Team JNR to themselves.

"Well, I guess things could've been worse for us." Jaune commented.

"Considering we were saved from becoming lab rats for an intergalactic crime syndicate, I'd say that that's putting it mildly." Ren responded. Jaune's expression then fell a bit.

"Still, to think that we can't get back to Remnant for who knows how long and everyone else is still fighting back home and we're unable to help." He lamented.

"I know, but it's out of our hands. You heard what Ioan said, until they're able to find where Remnant is from the Star Busters, there's not much we can do other than just wait."

"Yeah, but what do we do while we wait."

"We're on an alien planet, Jaune, we have an opportunity to learn about new cultures and the like that people back home can only dream of, I'm sure will find things to keep us busy for the foreseeable future." The words spoken from the team's resident ninja did lift up the blonde's spirit.

"Yeah, you're right. With Ioan's help, we'll see what this world has to offer and we'll have the craziest stories to tell Ruby and the others when we get back." The leader stated before he turned to his other teammate, "What do you think Nora?"

…only to see that the small redhead was no longer there. Looking towards to open doorway, it was easy to assume that the walking lightning rod had left the room. Jaune and Ren looked at the doorway with blank expressions.

"Ioan did say we were free to look around, I'm sure she'll be fine." Jaune justified with Ren crossing his arms and nodding.

"…She's gonna get into a restricted area and break something, isn't she?" Jaune muttered with stress. Ren just sighed.

"Let's go get her."

And with that, Jaune and Ren left the room to find there wandering teammate. Hopefully, they'll get to her before trouble rears its ugly head.

Hopefully thinking that over and over again will make it true.

Let it be said that fate works in mysterious ways.

In one of the many hallways of the headquarters of the Order of Kamolie, a simple archivist has just exited a certain room after performing his rounds. Before he can close the door, he had dropped his ID badge on the floor and bent down to pick it up, after which he closed the door and went on his way.

If he had looked up while he was bending down, he would've seen an orange haired young woman quickly enter the room with not a care in the world.

Nora had been wandering all around the castle-like facility with curiosity and awe. It wasn't everyday that one ends up on an entirely different planet, so naturally one must take the opportunity to explore their new surroundings. Which led her to her current location.

The room she found herself in seemed to be a large storage room, as there were many shelves and stands throughout the room. But it was what they held that caught her interest.

The objects in the room looked to be small, shield-shaped badges, like the one Ioan took out of his belt to change out of his blue outfit. Most were bronze, some were silver, yet they all bore different images on their faces. Golden heraldries on different colored backgrounds marked each badge, images of various animals and objects being depicted. Nora passed by a row of badges that depicted a wolf on a grey background and another row with that featured what looked like bubbles on a purple background. Bears, birds, lizards, swords, arrows, boomerangs, all sorts of images were depicted, Nora even spotted a badge with the heraldry of a toaster and one with a shoe with stink lines. Her head twisting in every direction, Nora's attention was then drawn to the center of the room.

In the center of the room stood five pedestals in front of one larger one. On the first five Nora noticed that one had nothing placed on it. The other four had badges like the rest of the room, but these ones were the only ones that were gold. The badge in the center pedestal depicted a fierce dragon heraldry on a red background. The pedestal to the center one's left had a badge that depicted a lion heraldry on a yellow background. The pedestal to the far left held a badge with a regal stag deer heraldry on a green background. The pedestal on the far right, next to the empty pedestal, had a badge with an eagle heraldry on a pink background. Nora then looked to the larger pedestal that stood behind the other five.

This one seemed to be grander and fancier than the others, as if the object on it was the most important thing in the room. On a silver satin pillow laid a platinum badge, upon which was the depiction of an angel heraldry on a white background. Even though the lights in the room were evenly spaced out, this badge seemed to shine a bit more than the other badges. Just looking at it made Nora feel like there was more to this thing than just looking like a pretty trinket. Then again, all of these badges must be important if they were being stored here.

"…she might've come this way?"

"Don't know, most of these doors seem to be locked, so she couldn't have gone in one of them."

Hearing those familiar voices, Nora smiled and ran back to the door. Pressing a random button on the pad next to the door that luckily opened it, Nora waved her hand and spoke.

"Hey guys! In here!"

Having just turned a corner, Jaune and Ren turned to see Nora waving at them from an opened room. Seeing the girl quickly go back in after getting their attention, Jaune and Ren quickly ran in after her.

"Nora! Don't just wander off without us." Jaune exclaimed.

"But Ioan said we could look around." Nora fired back.

"He also said to avoid restricted areas, which I believe this room is." Jaune then took an actual look around the room, "Just where exactly are we?"

"It looks like some sort of storage." Ren answered as he looked around the room.

"Yeah, but all that's here are all these badge thingies." Nora replied as she walked back to the center of the room.

"What do you think they're for?" Jaune asked. In his curiosity and against his better judgement, picked up on of the many badges, particularly the one with the stinky shoe heraldry. The moment his thumb swiped over it, the yellow-green background glowed before releasing a puff of green smoke into Jaune's face.

"SWEET MERCIFUL HEAVEN, THAT STINKS!"

Jaune dropped the badge and covered his nose, but the damage was already done. Permeating through his nasal passages was the most awful, rot inducing stench he has ever experienced. And that was saying something considering he used a bathroom right after Sun did after gorging himself on Taco Tuesday.

"Ooohhh! They're magic!" and soon enough, Nora was going back and forth between shelves and getting her hands on the badges.

A light-blue boomerang one summoned said weapon which then flew out of her hand and spun around the room in an arc and hit Jaune right in the head. A light green slug badge shot a stream of slime at Jaune's feet, causing him to slip and fall. A yellow bee badge brought a swarm of said insects, who unfortunately decided to target Jaune.

"Nora! Stop touching them!" yelled a panicking Jaune as he swatted at the bee swarm with his shield.

"But they're so cool!" the redhead replied before throwing the bee badge over her shoulder, which thankfully dismissed the bee, "Ooh, what's this one do?"

"Nora, don't!"

Picking up a black question mark badge, Nora swiped the surface. For a few seconds nothing happened. Then a puff of smoke appeared in front of Jaune before clearing up and revealed a man fully decked out in ninja gear. The ninja put his hands together and bowed before Jaune, who looked at the figure in confusion and weariness. And then…

"HIYAH!"

Crunch!

The ninja proceeded to kick Jaune in the crotch. The blonde let out a silent scream as he fell to his knees, hands cradling his damaged goods. The ninja bowed to Jaune again before disappearing another puff of smoke.

"W-what was the point of that one?" groaned Jaune, his pained voice a few octaves higher the usual. Ren shot Nora an annoyed look. Said redhead chuckled nervously before carefully putting the badge down. Her guilt was quickly swept away when her eyes landed on the platinum badge in the center of the room.

"Ooh, I wonder what this one does." She wondered as she walked up to the pedestal.

"Nora, please stop, I don't think Jaune can handle any more." Ren stated as he quickly got to his partner and grabbed her hand from reaching the badge.

"Listen to him." Jaune pleaded as he got to his feet. Shakingly making his way over to his teammates, the blonde eyed the badge that Nora tried to pick up.

Looking closely, Jaune and Ren were a bit enchanted by the angel badge. No doubt, with how this one felt its power would be incredible. Seeing them looking at the badge, Nora took the opportunity to reach out and take it.

"Nora, don't!" Ren yelled. Too late, as the redhead already swipe the badge.

Nothing happened.

"Aw, it's a dud." Nora disappointedly commented. Jaune, who had quickly crouched down and covered his face and crotch, stood up and swiped the badge from Nora's hand.

"For the last time, stop touching!" Jaune proclaimed. Nora's response was stinking her tongue at him.

"I think we've seen enough of this room. We should head back." Ren suggested.

"Oh, okay." Nora agreed, a bit lackluster, before cheering up, "But this was a bit fun. Sure is a step up from running from the Atleasian army."

"Yeah, sure is a breather we needed to take." Jaune said, "Being abducted by alien criminals and landing on another planet sure wasn't something I expected to happen when I woke up today."

"And before that, we became part of a shadow war against an immortal witch. It sure wasn't anything I thought could happen when we started at Beacon." Ren commented.

Jaune smiled as nostalgia filled his mind. Just about two years ago, he and his team were mere students learning how to protect their homes from the grimm. At the time, the worst he believed they'd encounter would be a big pack of grimm, maybe a few criminals here and there. Things were so much simpler back then, before the Vytal Tournament, before Cinder ruined everything. When he was just a regular boy hanging out with his team, Ruby and her team, and…

Pyrrha.

The hand gripping the angel badge tightened. He's sure Pyrrha would be enjoying these new experiences if she were here. Deep down, Jaune doesn't think he'll ever get over her death, even if he lived to be one hundred. He knows it does no good to do so, but sometimes he just imagines, wonders, wishes that…

…Pyrrha was here with them.

"Uh, Jaune, you should put that down."

Jaune was drawn out of his thoughts when he heard Nora's voice, her usual peppy tone now nervous. Seeing that the redhead was pointing to him, Jaune looked down and saw that the angel badge in his hand was glowing. Soon, it started vibrating as well while the badge grew brighter. Jaune quickly dropped the badge onto the floor as he and his teammates backed way from it. Its glow kept increasing in intensity to the point that the three had to cover their eyes. Soon, a high-pitched ring was emitted from the badge as well.

"What's going on here?!"

Team JNR turned their heads and saw Ioan and a pair of squires had entered the room. Seeing the source of the bright light and noise, Ioan's eyes widened.

"No, tell me you didn't activate the Angel Emblem!"

Any answer that might've been given was drowned out by the ringing of the emblem. In an instant, the glowing peaked and blinded everyone in the room, causing them to raise their arms in a futile attempt to shield their eyes. A few seconds later, the light vanished, and the ringing stopped. When everyone's vision and hearing started coming back, they lowered their arms and carefully looked to where the source of the event was.

"Okay, next time, Nora, don't go off on your own." Ren stated as he shook his head, vision still a bit blurry. Nora merely responded with groan in affirmative.

"Ok, Ioan, I know we may have done something we shouldn't have, but I can honestly say that… that…" Jaune started to speak before he trailed off. Looking to their leader, Ren and Nora saw surprise and shock on his face as he stared towards the center of the room. Following his line of sight, the two saw what had the blonde in shock…

…and promptly ended up in the same state.

In the center of the room was the body of a young woman, about seventeen years old. She had long, red hair in a ponytail and was clad in brown and gold armor. In her hand was a mechanical spear. She was currently lying on the ground, passed out. Though Team JNR were too shocked to notice, the Angel Emblem had disappeared. After a few moments, Jaune uttered one word.

"…Pyrrha?"

Floating just outside of Avalon-4's atmosphere was one of several defense satellites that orbited the planet. Their job was to be both an early warning system and first line of defense against any hostile force that intended to do harm to the planet. They were crafted and armed with latest technology and weaponry in the galaxy.

Which made the destruction of several of these satellites all the more surprising, quickly being destroyed before they could send warning down to the planet. All of it was done by a lone craft as it floated through the satellite debris. By the time anyone became aware of what just happened, it would be too late.

Bright green eyes opened up as the haze of sleep left the mind.

With a tired groan, Pyrrha Nikos sat up on the bed she was currently on. Her bleary vision was clearing up as she looked around at the room she was in. She seemed to be in an infirmary, but it didn't look like one of Beacon's. Though, considering the damage it took during the grimm invasion, Pyrrha was probably carted off to Vale for treatment. She raised her hand to her head as a brief dizzy spell hit her.

The last thing she remembered was fighting Cinder a top of Beacon; she tried fighting the girl who had stolen the Fall Maiden powers, but an arrow to her heel and then her chest dashed her chances. The last image in her head before everything went black was Cinder reaching to her and…

Pyrrha's hand subconsciously fell to her chest, specifically the spot where Cinder's arrow pierced. Looking down, she saw she was still in her huntress attire, so she was able to see that there was no scare or such on her chest. Confused, she took a sweep of her body and found that she wasn't injured at all, no cuts, bruises, or scars. Just as her mind contemplated how she got out of her fight with Cinder without a scratch, the infirmary door opened. Turning her head, she saw a man in his early twenties wearing a blue, grey, and black uniform enter the room and walk up to her bed.

"Hello there, how are you feeling?" he asked. Pyrrha stared at the man questioningly for a few seconds before replying.

"I'm fine, oddly enough."

"Well, considering what you've been through, I'd say you got off easy." The man replied, "My name is Ioan Ulmar Anglicus and you, Pyrrha Nikos are currently in the headquarters of the Order of Kamolie."

"Order of Kamolie? I've never heard of it."

"Of course not. Your current circumstances is unique to say the least. I'll leave it to your friends to explain them to you." Ioan then turned to the still open doorway, "You three can come in now."

To the redhead's shock and joy, her teammates walked into the room. Pyrrha was obviously glad to see them, but she also noticed that they had expressions of nervousness.

"Hey, Pyrrha. How are you?" asked Jaune, his voice soft with a tinge of hesitance.

"I'm fine, though a little confused. What happened? Is everyone ok? Were the grimm repelled from Vale? Did Cinder get away?"

Pyrrha saw Jaune nearvously look towards Ren and Nora, the two also looking a bit down. The blonde then turned back to Pyrrha and answered.

"Pyrrha, what's the last thing you remember?" the redhead wondered why he asked that question before answering.

"I remember fighting Cinder at the top of Beacon and she ended up wounding me greatly. She reached for me and then everything went black and then I woke up here." Pyrrha looked to her temamates and saw their sullen expressions, "Guys, what's going on?"

At her question, Jaune seemed to consider not answering the girl, before shaking his head and replying with hesitance.

"Uh, Pyrrha, the attack on Beacon, your fight with Cinder, everything, all that happened two years ago." Jaune replied softly and then forcing himself to continue, "Y-you… you've been in a coma the entire time."

Pyrrha's mind went blank as she processed what her partner had said.

Two years. She's been in a coma for two years?!

Looking at her team, she then noticed something she missed as she spoke with them. The three of them seemed a bit different, taller, even Jaune's hair was different. Pyrrha then understood that her teammates have all aged a bit. Meaning that Jaune wasn't lying, she's been asleep for for two years.

The rest of the newly reunited Team JNPR could only look on in sadness as they see their old friend process what she has heard. The redhead's eyes were wide as she looked down at her hands in horrible realization and a little bit of denial. To see her so scared of the situation, that she had lost two years of her life was heartbreaking.

That fact that they just lied to her made it all worse.

Flashback: 1 hour Ago

Team JNR were quickly escorted out of the storage room by Ioan. The older man then ordered the squires to take the unconscious Pyrrha to the nearest infirmary and to keep him posted on her condition. Minutes late, the group of four were back in the living quarters.

"W-what just happened?! How did Pyrrha appear here?! She's supposed to be…" Jaune was freaking out, firing off question after question, "Just what the hell is going on?!"

His teammates weren't fairing any better; Nora was completely shocked, eyes wide with tears forming. Ren seemed to be calm, but his eyes reveled that he too was in a state of panic. Ioan looked at the young kids in pity and empathy.

"To explain what happened, I'd have to first tell you about the objects that were stored in the room back there." He spoke.

"You mean those badge things?" Nora uttered softly. Ioan nodded his head.

"They're called Emblems and they're a very old, very special magic that's been apart of this planet's history for thousands of years."

"About 10,000 years ago, the people of this world were living in some dark ages; numerous tribes, clans, and families of kings, warlords, bandits, and all kinds of different factions clashed against each other for control over the land. It seemed like every day the population were splitting into more and more groups and fighting one another. For a long time, unity didn't seem possible, and it looked like the world would tear itself apart."

"And then one day, a single peasant boy came across an ancient temple of alien origin. Within, he discovered many symbols and hieroglyphics he didn't understand. Though poor, he was a scholar at heart and decided to learn what these symbols meant. In doing so, he discovered that recreating these symbols, using a process that has been long lost, resulted in powerful magic being created and contained within small badge-like objects, the Emblems."

"Using these Emblems, he gathered a following of like-minded individuals that were tired of the constant fighting and division that plagued their world and sought to bring order. Dangerous forces were put down, other factions, whether it was out of respect or fear for the group's power, pledged fealty to them. After years of conflict, all the factions of the world finally brokered treaties between one another and the dark ages came to an end."

"The boy, now a king, distributed the Emblems between the different factions, believing that doing so would be seen as a show of trust and to put everyone on equal footing. While each faction now held the power of an Emblem, it was clear that simply being in possession of one did not put one over the other. The Emblems were designed to work together in harmony, so using them against one another would be foolish in the long run; while the power of one Emblem may be a counter to another, it is not a counter to all of them. If war were to break out again any victory would be short, resulting in any faction involved eventually losing to one another. Seeing such a fate as pointless, all thoughts of conflict ceased, and peace reigned through the land."

"As a show of unity, members of various Emblem baring factions, now called Noble Clans, came together to form a group whose purpose was to keep order and protect the people of the world by using the Emblems together. They became an order of knights who named themselves after the creator of the Emblems: The Glyph King, Kamolie."

"That's you guys, the Order of Kamolie." Jaune spoke, in awe of the story and of the power of the Emblems that were used to bring everyone together.

"That's right. Since then, the Order has done everything within its power to keep the peace and fight back any threat to our world. The Emblems are our trump cards." Ioan stated. He then pulled out something from his pocket. Showing it to Team JNR, they saw that it was an Emblem, gold with the heraldry of a griffon on a blue background. It was quickly deduced that it was the missing Emblem from the five pedestals.

"These things all have unique powers and effects. If used right, they can used for incredible and amazing things."

Team JNR looked at the blue badge in wonder and awe. Remembering what just happened a few minutes ago, Nora spoke up.

"Like, bring the dead back to life?" she asked softly. At her question, Ioan sighed and put his Emblem away.

"No, no they can't." He answered, surprising the hunters, "While they are capable of a lot of things, there is no Emblem that is capable of undoing death."

"B-but, what about Pyrrha?! She was right there, alive and breathing! How is that not undoing death?!" argued Jaune, confusion and a bit of anger filled his voice.

"The Angel Emblem is one of a kind and considered the most powerful of all the Emblems for seemingly being able to grant miracles. But there is a huge emphasis on 'seemingly'. Rather, it only has the power to mimic miracles" Ioan hardened his gaze on the three as he decided to reveal the truth, "Your friend is dead. What you saw happen was the Angel Emblem become a perfect duplicate of Pyrrha."

The moment those words left his mouth, Jaune, Ren, and Nora's insides felt as if they were filled with ice.

"A d-duplicate?" Ren uttered in shock.

"Yes. The Angel Emblem, after sensing a deep and powerful desire, uses it power to grant that wish, while still bound to the rules of nature. It can't bring the dead back to life, so it does the next best thing." Ioan stated with an expression of steely empathy, "She may look like her, she may talk like her, she'll even have all her abilities, memories, and emotions, but at the end of the day, that girl you saw is not the original. Just the Angel Emblem taking her form."

To say that the trio were shocked and sorrowful would be a huge understatement. To think that the Pyrrha they saw was just a copy?! Comprehending this situation seemed impossible.

"W-what will happen to her?" Jaune asked quietly.

"Well, this actually isn't the first time the Angel Emblem was used to 'bring someone back'. What's going on now is the Angel Emblem is sort of stabilizing Pyrrha's body. Once that's finished, the Emblem will leave her body and she'll be a 100% normal human. If it's removed before then, then her body will eventually breakdown. So, the best thing to do is just keep her safe."

Ioan can see that the trio were going through a myriad of thoughts, no doubt about how to handle this situation and how to interact with 'revived' Pyrrha.

"C-can we go see her?" Nora asked.

"I'll see what I can do. But, if you do see her, I recommend keeping all of this to yourselves, I can imagine learning that you're a clone won't go over well. So you might want to take this time to come up with a story to explain how she got here."

Having explained all that he could, Ioan stood up and left the room. Team JNR were clearly out of their depth; first aliens attack Remnant, then they were abducted and then rescued, and now their dead friend was brought back as a copy. To say they were handling it well would be a lie. But, deep down, they did see one silver lining.

Pyrrha was back

End Flashback

Jaune, Ren, and Nora were now sitting down on chairs around Pyrrha's bed and Ioan had left to give the team some time alone. After the redhead had calmed down from the revelation of her supposed coma, her teammates went on to tell her what happened after her fight with Cinder.

The three of them spent the entire time before Pyrrha awoke thinking of a story to tell that would be convincing. They told her of the fall of Beacon and that General Ironwood decided to take Pyrrha to Atlas for medical treatment because of her abilities as a huntress, which would've been needed in the future and because it would've been the least he could do as a favor for Ozpin. They then proceeded to tell Pyrrha of their journey to Haven academy with Ruby and Qrow, reuniting with Yang, Blake, and Weiss, Cinder's ambush at the academy and collecting the relic, their trip to Atlas, and eventually the breakdown of their camaraderie with Ironwood which was then overshadowed by the Star Busters invading Remnant.

When the city was in chaos, Jaune told Pyrrha that they raced to the hospital where she was being kept to see to her safety. They had gotten there just as they were swarmed and eventually overwhelmed by the aliens. The four of them were captured and put on a ship off of Remnant. He then got to the part where they were rescued by Ioan and brought to his planet. The blonde made up the story that Avalon-4's medical technology was more advanced than Remnant's (which it was) and that it was responsible in accelerating Pyrrha's recovery, resulting in her awakening. The redhead just sat there taking in all of what she had just heard, unknowing that her inclusion in the tale was the only false detail.

"So… we're really on another planet and Remnant is currently under invasion?"

"Yeah, kind of hard to believe if you weren't there, which you were, only you were asleep, but now you're not, so, uh…" Jaune trailed off, awkwardness turning his explanation into rambling.

"I get it, Jaune, I know that this isn't something you'd lie about." Pyrrha said, "Still, it's a whole lot to process. And we're just supposed to stay here until we rediscover remnant's location?"

"Well, yeah it sounds like a bummer when you say it like that but come on! We're on a brand-new world, there's going to be a whole lot of fun things to do!" Nora countered, both telling the truth and wanting to raise Pyrrha's spirits.

"I know it feels like a lot to take in addition to finding out you've been asleep for two years, but you can rest well now that Team JNPR is back together." Ren stated, the young man speaking with absolute honesty, causing a smile to appear on Pyrrha's face.

"Yeah. It may be a rough start, but we'll get through this. I'm sure that before we know it, we'll be back on Remnant and reunite with Ruby and the others and we'll send those Buster guys packing." Jaune proclaimed, his mood seemingly raising with each word, "For now, you just rest up and tomorrow we'll all go out on the town. I'm sure Team RWBY will be extremely jealous when we tell them we explored an alien planet."

"Yes, you're right. Can't let myself be kept down by circumstances that were out of my control." Pyrrha then looked to her teammates, "Thanks, you guys, for being here when I woke up."

The trio just smiled in genuine happiness; it was, rather still is, hard to accept that the girl in front of them wasn't the original Pyrrha. It's just like Ioan said, her personality and mannerisms were exactly the same. But right now, looking at the redhead, original or not, they just saw someone who needed her friends right now. It will take some time, but there is no doubt in their minds that Team JNPR will be just as they were back at Beacon.

"No problem. You're our friend, it's the least we can do." Jaune replied, "Right now, just rest up. There's nothing to worry about now."

BOOM!

The sound of an explosion and the building rattling a bit nearly sent Jaune, Ren, and Nora to the floor. Pyrrha looked around in panic, memories of the Fall of Beacon surfacing. Jaune stood up and looked to his team.

"What was that?!"

"That sounded like an explosion. Is the base under attack?" Ren inquired.

"Do you think it's the Star Busters?" Nora wondered worryingly, "I mean, Ioan and his friends did blow up one of their ships."

"If that's true, then we need to go and make sure any civilians inside are out of danger." Jaune stated.

"Yeah, time for some payback!" Nora cheered. Just as Jaune, Ren, and Nora walked towards the door, the sounds of shifting fabric caught their attention. Turning around, they saw Pyrrha moving her blanket off of her and attempting to get up from bed.

"Pyrrha?! What are you doing?!" Jaune yelled as he ran back to her bed and placed his hands on her shoulders, setting her back on bed.

"We're under attack, you said we need to help." The redhead answered.

"Yeah, we as in me, Ren, and Nora. You just woke up from a coma, you're in no condition to fight." The blonde countered.

"But, Jaune—"

"He's right. You need to stay here and rest. Don't worry, any squires we come across, we'll send here to keep you safe." Ren responded. The trio then turned around and left the room, leaving the redhead a little depressed at being left out, but understanding their reasoning. What she didn't know was that in addition to leaving so that she can recover, the rest of Team JNPR were deathly afraid of bringing Pyrrha back into battle, for the thought of losing her again filled their heads with fear.

Ioan ran through the corridors of the headquarters. The moment the explosion went off, he ran towards the source. On the way, he ordered any squires he came across to protect any nearby points of interest and sent any non-combatant members to safe zones. Right as he turned a corner, Ioan came across things that shouldn't have been in the base.

"Slimekins!" he realized through clenched teeth.

The slime-like nanobot based beings that stood before him were the recently emerged foot soldiers of the Star Busters. The Order has come into conflict with them in the recent months they have interfered with the crime syndicate's operations. The walking slimes were currently in battle with some squires. Though the enemy had numbers on their side, the knights of Kamolie were up to the challenge and were slowly but surely taking down the Slimekins. Seeing that the slimes were being handled, Ioan weaved through the fighting and continued towards the source of the explosion.

A few minutes later, Ioan made it to his destination: the Emblem storage. The door was blasted open. Looking inside the knight saw that the back wall was completely reduced to rubble, creating an opening to the outside. Scrambling through the room were more Slimekins; they were taking any Emblem they can get their hands on and putting them in metal containers. Ioan then spotted one making its way towards the gold Emblems.

"Oh no you don't!"

Ioan quickly raced to and tackled the slime away from the Emblems. Turning to the pedestals, he quickly picked up the four badges and put them in his jacket pockets. The other Slimekins were made aware of his presence when he tackled one of their own looking at the knight, the slimes raised their rifles at him. Seeing himself surrounded, Ioan was oddly calm. Reaching behind him, he was about to take out something when…

"Ioan!"

Everyone's attention was drawn when the Slimekins near the entrance to the room were cut down and smashed to a pulp. The ones responsible were none other than Jaune, Ren, and Nora. Seeing the young hunters, Ioan couldn't help buy gape in shock.

"W-wha—what are three doing here?!" he yelled.

"We heard a loud boom and then ran towards it." Nora answered as she swung her hammer, Magnhild, at a charging Slimekin, taking its head of in one hit. Jaune swung his sword, Crocea, at a slime before blocking its sword with his shield, Mors. Ren was keeping some slimes at bay with shots from his dual pistols, StormFlower.

Ioan just rolled his eyes before dodging a punch from a Slimekin and retaliating with a kick to the chest. Although he didn't like the kids in the thick of this, their help really did make it easier to fight the slimes. Pretty soon, the enemy was being pushed back by the group of four. It looked like they were going to win—

Bang!

Ioan had the wind knocked out of him as a bolt of energy slammed into his back, sending him flying across the room before landing at the hunters' feet. Said trio looked down at the older man in shock before looking to where the shot came from.

"Well, that certainly was a letdown. I'd thought a man with the rank of Paladin would've seen that coming."

The one who spoke just came in through the destroyed back wall. The figure was clad in armor that resembled gem-infused rock; different colored gems were scattered across the black rock-like plating, with the most prominent being a large, jagged pillar of emerald jutting out from the right shoulder and the helmet that resembled a geode filled with violet crystals. The figure had its left arm stretched out, the tip of its index figure capped with a rough sapphire. The smoke coming from the gem showed that the blast that hit Ioan originated from there. Ioan, with a pained groan, go up to his feet.

"And who the hell are you supposed to be?"

"The name's Carbuncle, and I'm here for a simple smash and grab." The figure replied in a male voice, playful condescension clear in his tone. Carbuncle then crouched down and picked up an Emblem that had fallen to the ground, "All the eggheads of the Star Busters are very interested in these little trinkets. I don't really get all that science and techie talk, but the opportunity to knock you Kamolie stooges down a peg while taking your resources wasn't something I was going to pass up."

"Well, sorry to rain on your parade, you bedazzled freak, but these Emblems are staying here and you're heading straight for a cell." Ioan proclaimed.

"Sorry, but I have a schedule to keep, so I'm gonna have to pass on that cell. But, if you want these Emblems back, then I'm more than happy to oblige."

As he said those words, Carbuncle took out some sort of handheld device that resembled some sort of steam-punk music player. He then took the Emblem in his hand (which is bronze with the heraldry of a hammer on an orange background) and inserted it into a slot on the device. Pressing a button on the device, Carbuncle tossed it into the air. The device then stopped in midair and began vibrating. Hearing the sound of metal rattling, Ioan and Team JNR looked around them and saw that Emblems of the same type as the one in the device were all shaking. A second later, the Emblems flew off their resting places and flew towards the device. Like a magnet, the device drew in the badges, which then formed a cluster around it. The cluster grew and grew until it was as big as Carbuncle. The cluster then glowed an ominous orange color before it went through a metamorphosis.

What was once a giant ball of Emblems was now a monster. Covered in a hide of burnt orange metal, the monster looked to be some sort of robot or golem. Its hands and feet resembled stone sledgehammers and its head was a claw hammer. Protrusions of cracked stone littered its body. The monster stretched out its arms.

"Ah, it feels good to be alive." The monster commented happily. Carbuncle looked at the creature in approval, while Ioan and Team JNR mouths dropped in shock.

"What the heck is that?!" Nora shouted in surprise.

"This is one our newest achievement, the Genesis Golem. All it needs is one of your little Emblems and, viola, a new bruiser for the cause." Carbuncle explained. The jewel clad villain turned around and started walking towards the ruined back wall, "I hope you can handle these guys as we take our leave?"

"You got it boss. Just leave these squishy meatbags to good ol' Sledgeslammer." The now named monster slammed his hammer hands in excitement. Carbuncle let out a chuckle of approval before jumping out of the hole. The Slimekins that were still active followed the man, carrying containers filled with Emblems. The hammer monster then turned towards the ones that he was supposed to smash.

"Now, why don't you make like good little squishy things and let me smash you!" Sledgeslammer exclaimed before charging at the group.

"Tch, let me handle this walking sorry excuse for a hammer." Nora proclaimed before lifting her own hammer. Just as Sledgeslammer got close enough, Nora swung Magnhild at the monster just as he swung his left hammer arm at her. The two hammers then collided.

Bam!

Hoping to see the monster be sent flying, Jaune and Ren were instead treated to the sight Nora and Sledgeslammer stilled in place, their hammers still in contact. Then, to their shock, Nora started to shake, starting from her hand until her whole body seemed to vibrate. The redhead stepped back and spoke in a shaky voice.

"T-t-that w-w-wasn't s-s-supossed t-t-to h-h-happen!" Nora sounded like the time she spent five hours in a massage chair at the mall. It would appear that Sledgeslammer was too tough for Nora that the strength in her swing was sent back to her. The monster laughed at her failed attempt and swatted the redhead aside with his arm. He then turned to the others; Ren lifted his guns to shoot and Ioan went to tackle Sledgeslammer, but monsters quickly batted them to the side as well. Sledgslammer then faced Jaune.

"Now, where were we?" he mocked as he lifted both arms, now glowing with energy. Just as Jaune raised his shield to block the attack…

Slam!

…Something flew over the blonde's head and slammed into Sledgeslammer, sending the monster flying back. Understandably shocked, Jaune looked at what hit the golem as it laid on the floor. It was the door to the storage room.

"Jaune!"

Hearing the familiar voice, Jaune turned around to see…

"Pyrrha?! What are you doing here?!"

The redhead stood in the doorway with her arm raised, no doubt having used her semblance, polarity, to send the door to the monster. She then ran into the room as she pulled out her signature javelin, Milo, and shield, Akouo.

"I'm sorry, I know you told me to stay and rest, but I just couldn't let you fight alone." Stated Pyrrha.

Any argument or reprimand Jaune had in mind was cast away as a monstrous groan was heard behind him. Turning around, the two saw Sledgeslammer shove the door off of him and get back on his feet.

"Oy! You're gonna pay for that big time, red!"

The monster then raised his left leg before slamming it down. Glowing energy cracks rushed from his hammer-like foot towards Jaune and Pyrrha. The blonde quickly grabbed his partner and jumped out of the way as the cracks reached their previous position and released an intense explosion. Just as the two got back on their feet, Sledgeslammer rushed towards them, and with a swing of his arm sent them flying to the destroyed back wall and sending them outside.

"Heh, I smash better in open spaces." The monster chuckled before following outside. Just as the monster left Ren, Nora, and Ioan picked themselves up.

"Jaune! Pyrrha!" Nora groaned before looking to her partner, "We have to go help them."

Ren nodded before he and his partner ran out of the storage room. Ioan just stood there as he assessed the situation.

'That thing was made from all of the Smash Medals in our possession, so its power is nothing to scoff at. Even if I morph I doubt I can bring that thing down on my own.' The paladin thought. His gaze then turned towards his pocket which carried the other four gold Emblems, 'Maybe if I had a full team of five the thing might go down, but…'

Ioan thoughts then went to the past, when he had gained the position of paladin along with four others. Sadly, the Star Busters saw to it that his comrades never even used the power they were given before their lives were cut short. Now, the knight might not a have a chance against that Emblem golem by himself and four kids have been caught in the middle of this disaster.

…Four?

The moment the idea came to him, he chided himself for what he was considering, but these were desperate times, so the appropriate measures had to be taken. With strengthened resolve, Ioan ran out of the storage room through the entrance. He needed to make a stop before enacting his crazy plan.

In one of the many gardens that surrounded the Kamolie headquarters, Team JNPR were waging battle with the monster known as Sledgeslammer.

Jaune and Nora were hack and smashing at the monster's thick hide with their respective weapons, but said monsters barely felt a tickle before pushing them away with a swipe of his hand. Sledgeslammer was then assaulted by a hail of bullets. Ren with his pistols and Pyrrha with Milo in its rifle form shot at the monster. To their dismay, the bullets simply pinged off the monster's thick skin, doing nothing by ticking it off. Sledgeslammer raised both of his arms before slamming them into the ground. Energy cracks were produced and raced towards Ren and Pyrrha, who quickly jumped out of the way as the cracks reached them and exploded, the force of which caught the two hunters and sent them flying. They hit the ground hard, their respective auras shimmering from the damage. With difficulty, they got on their feet just as Jaune and Nora made their way towards them.

"Okay, I'm open to some suggestions here." Nora commented before turning to Jaune, "Looking at you, fearless leader."

"Sorry, Nora, but everything we've hit this thing with it just shrugs off. I don't know how we can beat him." The blonde stated reluctantly, his breath heavy from exertion.

"And I doubt running is an option." Ren spoke up, "Even if he loses interest in us, Sledgeslammer will just continue on his rampage."

"There has to be a way to beat him. We've trained to take down monsters, we should be able to do something." Pyrrha proclaimed, though her tone showed that she's just as much trying to convince herself as well as her team.

"Yeah, but grimm weren't smart or had superpowers." Nora argued.

Sledgeslammer stalked towards the group menacingly.

"Whatever you brats are plotting I can tell you right now that it won't work. I'll smash you flatter than tissue paper!"

The monster then charged at the group. Team JNPR raised their weapons, ready to keep fighting despite the difficulty. Just as Sledgeslammer got closer…

BANG!

"AAAGHHH!"

The monster was knocked over as blue energy bolts hit him. Team JNPR looked to where the shots came from and saw Ioan running towards them, blaster in hand. In his other hand was a suitcase.

"You guys okay?" he asked.

"Y-yeah. Though we're getting nowhere with this creep." Jaune replied. The monster was just to strong and cunning to beat. They were used to fighting mindless manifestations of destructions, not intelligent golems made from magic medals.

"That true, it seems that that guy is too much for you." The older knight said, before raising his suitcase, "Which is why I brought these to tip the scales."

Ioan opened the suitcase; inside were four flip phones, exactly like the one Ioan had. Now having a closer look gave Team JNPR a clear picture on what they looked like. The primary bodies of the phones were colored gold and lined with bronze. On the front of the phones were a coat of arms depicting a dragon, griffon, lion, stag, and eagle. The hunters looked at the phones in confusion.

"Um… how are scrolls going to help here?" Nora asked, "Are they a hotline to call a secret police or something?"

"That's one way of putting it. These are called Heraldry Cells and they are what's going to give you guys a power boost." The older man explained, gesturing them to each take one. Seeing as Ioan was so sure of this, each member of Team JNPR took a Heraldry Cell.

"So, what do they do?" Pyrrha asked as she looked the device over. Ioan put down the suitcase and reached into his jacket pocket.

"They were made to utilize the power of these." He then pulled out his hand. Clenched in his grip were the four golden Emblems from the storage facility.

"These gold Emblems hold within them a special power that is given only to the most honorable and courageous knights in our order." He explained as he went and handed out the Emblems to the young hunters; he gave Jaune the Yellow Lion Emblem, Nora the Pink Eagle Emblem, Pyrrha the Red Dragon Emblem, and Ren the Green Stag Emblem.

"Using their power, the five knights would transform into powerful and heroic group of warriors whose sole mission would be the protection of our world against threats that would otherwise burn it to the ground."

"And you're giving these things to us?" Jaune questioned, though a bit of awe was in his voice from hearing the purpose of the two items in his hands, "We've barley known each other for a few hours, seems like a big leap to think we're right for this."

"Right now, we're low on options; the rest of the order are taking care of the Buster forces in HQ, so that means we're the only ones that can take down Sledgeslammer." Ioan then gave the young hunters a confident smile, "Besides, from what you guys told me about what you do back on your planet, I believe that you four fit the description of honorable and courageous."

The four Remnant natives looked to each other, wondering if they should accept this opportunity. To three members of the team, they recalled their less than stellar performance against the Star Busters back on Remnant, while Pyrrha recalled her 'defeat' at Cinder's hands and her resulting 'coma' afterwards. All in all, a part of them weren't to confidant in themselves.

But another, much stronger part of them saw that this was a chance to change, to become stronger than they were right now, stronger than the versions of themselves that experienced crippling defeat. And maybe, just maybe, this power could be enough to lead them back to Remnant and drive back the invaders threatening their home. With hesitance turning into determination, Jaune looked to Ioan.

"What do we do?"

The knight just smirked as he took out his own Heraldry Cell and gold Emblem, the Blue Griffon.

"Here's how it works."

Sledgeslammer groaned as he got up after taking that barrage of blaster fire from Ioan. Pain then then turned to rage and frustration as he now committed himself to squishing the knight flatter than a grain of sand.

"Ugh! That guy and those brats are in for a whole world of hurt! They're gonna regret facing me!"

"Considering your face, anyone would regret facing that ugly mug of yours" exclaimed a certain hammer girl.

"Huh!?"

The golem turned around and saw Ioan and Team JNPR standing tall, facing with steely determination. (Ren, Ioan, Pyrrha, Jaune, Nora)

"Just you wait, you won't get in another potshot like before." Sledgeslammer proclaimed, slamming his hands together.

"In that case, we'll just take you head on." Ioan retorted. Jaune then looked to his teammates who looked back.

"Ready?"

Pyrrha, Ren, and Nora nodded, determined smiles on their face. Jaune smiled in return.

"Okay, let's do this." Ioan proclaimed with a smirk, "It's Morphin' Time."

The five then flipped open their Heraldry Cells and then brought them up along with the gold Emblems. Holding the Cells over the Emblems, they imputed a code into the phones. The Cells' screens lit up and scanned the Emblems. The number pads on the phones then flipped down, revealing slots underneath. The devices then called out as the gold Emblems were inserted into the slots.

[BLAZE DRAGON]

[SKY GRIFFON]

[SHINING LION]

[FOREST STAG]

[THUNDER EAGLE]

The Heraldry Cells then glowed in their respective Emblem's color as Team JNPR and Ioan closed the number pads and brought the Cells towards them. They then yelled out.

"Shocho (Emblem) Change!"

Pressing a red button on the cells, they then thrusted the devices forward.

"Ha!"

Five colorful lights then enveloped the five.

Henshin Sequence

(Team JNPR and Ioan stood in a blacksmith's forge, a fire beneath their feet. The Heraldry Cells glowed brightly before the number pads opened up and shining lights shot out of the Emblems.)

(Pyrrha)

From Pyrrha's Cell, a flaming dragon of light shot out from the Cell. It took flight as the flames beneath Pyrrha's feet surged, consuming her. Two halves of a metal mold then dropped down and enveloped Pyrrha. The mold then opened up and revealed a changed Pyrrha. The flaming dragon then shot at her and turned into a heraldry on her chest.

(Ioan)

From Ioan's Cell, a billowing griffon of light shot out from the Cell. It took flight as the flames beneath Ioan's feet surged, consuming him. Two halves of a metal mold then dropped down and enveloped Ioan. The mold then opened up and revealed a changed Ioan. The soaring griffon then shot at him and turned into a heraldry on his chest.

(Jaune)

From Jaune's Cell, a shining lion of light shot out from the Cell. It pounced forward as the flames beneath Jaune's feet surged, consuming him. Two halves of a metal mold then dropped down and enveloped Jaune. The mold then opened up and revealed a changed Jaune. The shining lion then shot at him and turned into a heraldry on his chest.

(Ren)

From Ren's Cell, a gallant stag deer of light shot out from the Cell. It pranced forward as the flames beneath Ren's feet surged, consuming him. Two halves of a metal mold then dropped down and enveloped Ren. The mold then opened up and revealed a changed Ren. The gallant deer then shot at him and turned into a heraldry on his chest.

(Nora)

From Nora's Cell, an electric eagle of light shot out from the Cell. It took flight as the flames beneath Nora's feet surged, consuming her. Two halves of a metal mold then dropped down and enveloped Nora. The mold then opened up and revealed a changed Nora. Electric eagle then shot at her and turned into a heraldry on her chest.

The bright lights produced by the Cells and Emblems died down, revealing the transformation they had produced.

Ioan was clad in the blue suit he had worn when he rescued the Remnant hunters. Team JNPR were also clad in the same outfits as Ioan, the difference being the color and heraldry; red with a dragon heraldry for Pyrrha, yellow with a lion heraldry for Jaune, green with a stag heraldry for Ren, and pink with an eagle heraldry for Nora. Pyrrha and Nora had the addition of skirts in their respective colors. The gold Emblems held within the frame slots on their belts. Team JNPR then looked at their new forms.

"This. Is. So. AWESOME!" yelled Nora as she looked at her pink suit in glee.

"Y-yeah, it really is." Jaune agreed, trying his very best not to cry in glee as he was now a hero resembling the ones he used to (still does) watch on Saturday morning cartoons.

"I certainly wasn't expecting this." Commented Ren as he looked down at his green clad body.

"Ioan wasn't kidding about the power the Emblems held, I can feel it surging through my body." proclaimed Pyrrha.

"That's just the beginning. You'll find that a whole new world of power is now within your grasp" Ioan spoke before turning towards Sledgeslammer, "Let's start by taking out tall, dumb, and ugly over there."

"Grrr! You think because you had a costume change that you can go toe-to-toe with me?! You guys must have a few screws loose!" the monster proclaimed in annoyance and anger.

"Trust me, we're practically all new people now. We're a squad of knights that you can't hope to beat." Proclaimed Ioan.

"Tch, that so?"

Ioan nodded before looking to Team JNPR.

"You guys remember what to do now?"

The young huntsmen-turned-knights nodded.

(Insert Song: RWBY Into 6, Rising)

The five then drew their swords (E-Caliburs) and adopted fencing poses.

"Knight of the Dragon Clan…"

Pyrrha poses.

"…AkaKishi!" (Red Knight)

A red explosion occurred behind Pyrrha.

"Knight of the Griffon Clan…"

Ioan poses.

"…AoKishi!" (Blue Knight)

A blue explosion occurred behind Ioan.

"Knight of the Lion Clan…"

Jaune poses.

"…KiKishi!" (Yellow Knight)

A yellow explosion occurred behind Jaune.

"Knight of the Stag Clan…"

Ren poses.

"…MidoriKishi!" (Green Knight)

A green explosion occurred behind Ren.

"Knight of the Eagle Clan…"

Nora poses.

"…MomoKishi!" (Pink Knight)

A pink explosion occurred behind Nora.

The five rangers then raised their swords.

"Tasked to fight and ward off evil!"

The five then posed one final time.

"Shochokishi Sentai…JNIPR!"

A huge explosion occurred behind them, followed by five smaller explosions in their respective colors, highlighting their forms.

"Awesome." Nora said to herself, what they just did would be forever looked back on as a fond memory.

"Alright, let's take this creep down." Ioan proclaimed, pointing his E-Calibur at the Sledgeslammer.

"Right." Jaune replied.

"I'll do my best." Pyrrha stated.

"Let's break his everything!" Nora shouted.

"So, we're just gonna ignore the explosions that just occurred behind us." Ren inquired; he was little bit unnerved by the sudden pyrotechnics out of nowhere.

"Don't worry about it." Was Ioan's response, "Now, let's do this."

And with that, the newly created Super Sentai charged forward towards Sledgeslammer.

Pyrrha was the first to reach the monster, who swung his fist at the red ranger. Pyrrha quickly blocked with her sword; before, the hit would've sent her flying, but with her new powers, Pyrrha simply slid back a few feet. She quickly retaliated with a few swings of her sword, sparks flying and curses yelled as the blade hit the monster's hide.

Ioan quickly hopped in and delivered a drop kick to the monster. When it stumbled back, Ioan quickly drew his blaster (E-Shooter) and fired multiples blasts at Sledgeslammer. The monster was pushed back with each blast before the blue ranger finished up with an overhead swing of his sword, sending the monster tumbling.

Just as the golem got back on his feet, Jaune attacked, having switched his E-Calibur for Crocea Mors in its greatsword configuration. Said weapon clashed against the monster's hammers. With his new ranger form, Jaune now had enough strength to match Sledfeslammer, both weapons blown back every time they clashed with each other. Thankfully, Jaune was quicker than the monster, so after their weapons impacted once more, the yellow ranger was able to respond first and delivered a fierce slash to Sledgeslammer.

The monster backed up in pain from the strike, only to find himself bound. Looking forward, he saw that Ren had tied him up with StormFlower's grappling hooks. Smirking under his helmet, the green ranger proceeded to unleash a volley of bullets at Sledgeslammer. The golem yelled in pain as he was hit.

"Incoming!"

"Huh?"

Sledgeslammer barely had a moment to react when StormFlower's grappling hooks released him and he was hit hard. Nora grinned under her helmet as she slammed Magnhild into Sledgeslammer, her new strength sending the monster flying into the air. The pink ranger then quickly converted her Warhammer into a grenade launcher and launched three grenades at the airborne monster. What followed was a large explosion that sent Sledgeslammer hurtling towards the ground.

BAM!

A cloud of dust went up when the golem impacted the ground. A moment later, Sledgeslammer shakingly got to his feet. He was beyond angry.

"You damn color-coded jerks. No one embarrasses me like this and gets away with it!" he yelled before crossing his arms. Then, a bronze-colored aura surrounded him. Team JNIPR gathered together and faced the monster.

"It looks like he's preparing for a big attack." Ioan analyzed.

"What now?" asked Jaune.

"We do the same." The blue ranger responded. He then brought up his E-Calibur, "Insert your Emblems into your swords, we'll take him out all at once."

Team JNPR drew their swords and saw that the hilts also contained frame slots to place Emblems. Quickly understanding, the team of five proceeded to remove their Emblems from their belts and inserted them into their swords.

[Gold Symbol Strike]

The E-Caliburs started to glow in their respective colors, the power building within them waiting to be let out. JNIPR then raised their swords just as Sledgeslammer finished charging up.

"Take this!" the monster yelled before he slammed his hammers together, releasing a destructive wave of energy that rushed towards the sentai.

"Let's go!" Ioan yelled he and the rest of the team swung their weapons down.

[Final Strike]

Five crescent shaped bursts of energy were released from the swords and flew forwards towards the wave of destructive energy. The opposing attacks made contact and struggled to overpower the other. Unfortunately for Sledgeslammer, his attack was ultimately dispersed. He can only yell in shock as the five colorful energy blades continued forward and struck him.

"AH! I'm supposed to do the smashing, not the other way around!" the golem yelled out as sparks of energy riddled his body from the attack. Ultimately, the monster fell flat on the ground before exploding in a display of fire and energy. When the flames cleared up, all that was left of Sledgeslammer was a pile of Emblems, surprisingly in pristine condition.

"We did it!" Nora yelled in pride as she jumped up in victory.

"That was on a whole other level than fighting Grimm." Panted Jaune, adrenaline wearing off and exhaustion rearing its head.

"It certainly was a unique experience." Ren commented.

"Now what?" asked Pyrrha.

"Now, we gather up those Emblems and return to base and sweep up any remaining Star Buster forces." Ioan answered as he made his way towards the pile of Emblems. The young hunters followed him.

This was but the first of many victories that the team from Remnant would experience in their coming days. But such victories won't come without experiencing great hardships.

It had taken only an hour to purge the HQ of any remaining Slimekins. Now, Jaune and his team were once again resting within one of the common areas in the base. They looked up as Ioan walked into the room.

"So, what's left of Avalon's global defense network determined that the Star Buster forces that invaded have yet to leave the planet. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to determine where they're hiding at the moment." He explained to the young hunters.

"So, they can come back and attack again?" Jaune asked worriedly.

"It's a possibility, but we'll be prepared this time. And if they do show their ugly mugs again, then we'll make to take them down and find where they're holding up on the planet." The older man then gave a kernel of hope to the youngsters, "And hopefully, they'll some info about your planet and we'd be one step closer to getting you kids home."

Team JNPR smiled a bit at that last part. They knew that finding Remnant wasn't going to be easy, especially if they have to fight the Star Busters to do it. But they wouldn't have to do it alone, now that they had new powers and allies in Ioan and the Order of Kamolie.

"So, how is the base holding up?" Pyrrha asked.

"Some damage to integral parts like armories and research labs is being repaired as we speak and thankfully, we didn't experience any casualties. The real problem is with the Emblem storage."

"How many did they take?" Ren asked.

"Not counting the Smash Emblems we've retrieved, about 85% of our cache has been stolen. And considering that the Star Busters can create monsters from the Emblems and we've got a really bad recipe for disaster."

"Well, we'll help in any way we can to get them back. Plus, we have our own beef with them." Jaune stated with conviction, his teammates feeling the same.

"Good, cause as of right now, you four have been inducted into the Order of Kamolie. Congratulations, you guys are now knights and your first and most important mission is to repel the Star Buster forces hiding on the planet."

"Oooh, do we get fancy armor? Do we get our own alien horses? Do we have the authority to execute anyone where they stand?" Nora unleased question after question like a flood.

"Whoa, there. First, no executing people," Ioan replied, mentally listing all the restrictions he would need to enact for this bundle of energy, "Second, while you guys will get certain privileges that come with being sentai, technically, you four would be starting out as squires, with me being your overseer. So, if you wanna prove yourselves, then you have to work hard, both on and off the battlefield."

Seeing the determination from the four huntsmen filled Ioan with pride as he can tell that these four will go on to do great things in the future.

"Ok, you guys can take it easy for the rest of the day, because tomorrow, you guys are getting a crash course in training. So be prepared."

"Yes, sir!" Team JNPR replied together.

"Ok, take it easy now, I got some more things to take care of, so I'll see you guys later." And with that, Ioan left the room.

Walking down the hallway, Ioan spotted a lone squire walking in the opposite direction. Giving a quick salute, Ioan continued on his way.

Thus, he didn't see the squire smirk nor see his eyes change color to pink and brown. The air around him seemed to shimmer like fractured glass before settling down.

This place will be an interesting spot to hang out for a while.

Deep within a newly prepared base, Carbuncle was currently communicating with his superior.

"—And you are certain that the order has no clue where you've set up shop."

"Don't worry, me and my guys will be able to get comfortable here for a long while. On that note, I still don't see the appeal of the little trinkets you had me take; it's not like we haven't been able to crank out any toys that can do the same things as these Emblems." Carbuncle inquired. The shadowy figure in the video replied.

"True, but the Emblems have more potential than you realize, as well as being the key to an ancient power that will bring our organization to new heights. You just focus on your mission."

"Yeah, yeah, I got it." The gem covered man replied with a bit of boredom, "Speaking of missions, what's that brainiac Synapses up to these days?"

"Currently, he's on a personal mission on Earth, one that he says will pay off greatly."

"Earth? He's treading the line going there, considering how many so called 'heroes' reside on that dirtball."

"While Synapses has been known to take big gambles, he's always come out on top. I have no doubt that this venture of his will bear fruit. Now, if that is all, then I suggest you prepare for your next outing on Avalon."

The screen then went blank, leaving Carbuncle to himself. Said man just sighed before walking out of the room.

Hopefully, this mission won't go too smoothly.

Nothing more boring then when everything goes according to plan.

Earth. Even though the planet has yet to develop space travel on par with the rest of the galaxy, its reputation is known far and wide for all of the important events that have taken place on its surface. Events that have changed the face of the galaxy over and over again.

And in a certain city on the island nation of Japan, one such event will be put into motion.

And it all starts with a young woman named Cinder Fall.

To Be Continued…

Next Time:

Ioan: Okay, get ready for basic training.

Nora: Bring it on, we'll take anything you throw at us.

Pyrrha: There's an attack in the city!

Jaune: AAAHHH! He's huge!

JNIPR: Shocho Gattai!

Next Time: Basic Training.

So, hope you liked the story. Sorry if the fight seemed to short, just felt like I needed to post this as soon as I could. Now, Introducing my OC, Ioan Ulmar Anglicus; he is based on Pope Joan, a woman who disguised herself as a man and became the pope, thus fitting with JNPR's theme of being based on characters who've disguised themselves as the opposite gender. As for the color meaning, Ulmar is actually a contarction of Ultra Marine, a shade of blue. And cookies to those who guessed who else is along for JNPR's ride, though I think I made it obvious. Now, I'll start work on part 3 of the trilogy, followed by another chapter of Persona 6. Also, I'd like to ask if some of you authors reading might like to right a story about the cast of RWBY reacting to the trilogy. Mastergamer out.
