The show has come to an end, but my love for it has not. And I hope you guys who read this enjoy it as well. This story is complete, and I will be posting a part daily.

Please note, this story is split into three parts. The main stories (this one), the corresponding text messages (I will be posting it after this story is over) and an What If (moments where I got an idea of how different things could have happened).

Enjoy.

"Alex!" Kara shouted as she walked into Alex's office in the DEO. The older Danvers looked up from the tablet in her hand. She looked at Kara who was holding out her finger. The Kryptonian had tears in her eyes, and looked at Alex with pain on her face.

Kara had solar flared the previous day, and was enjoying her time as a human. And it did worry Alex about the girl couldn't protect herself like she used to.

Alex frowned. She stood up and walked around her desk to stand in front of Kara. "What's wrong?"

"I got impaled," Kara whined, showing Alex her finger that had a splinter sticking out of it.

Alex rolled her eyes and grabbed her younger sister's hand. She looked at the splinter. It wasn't too big, and she could easily pull it out. She looked up at Kara, who looked nervous. The Kryptonian pouted, her eyes still filled with tears.

"Why didn't you take it out yourself?" Alex asked, opening her drawer and pulling out tweezers. Kara's eyes widened, showing fear. Kara flexed her finger, looking ready to bolt. "I mean, you've been punched, you've been cut, you've bled. And you can't get a splinter out?"

"It hurt," Kara whispered, her eyes following Alex's every move. Alex grabbed the splinter with the tweezer and looked at Kara.

"Hey, eyes on me," Alex said, waiting until Kara looked her in the eye. When she got her sister's attention, she pulled out the splinter and Kara yelped. She shoved her finger into her mouth, but Alex was quick to pull it back. "No, the mouth is one of the dirtiest places on your body. I have to make sure nothing was left behind." She inspected the wound, before nodding. "You're good. How did you get this?"

Kara looked at Alex with a pout. "Do I get a lollipop?"

Alex rolled her eyes and reached into her drawer and pulled out a green lollipop. Kara squealed and took it.

"Thank you!"

"So? How did you get the splinter?" Alex asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

Kara gave her sheepish smile. "I was moving a chair, and yeah. That happened. DIdn't know chairs could be so dangerous."

Alex rolled her eyes and signaled for her sister to go. Kara kissed Alex's cheek and shoved the lollipop into her mouth. She turned and practically skipped away. Alex let out a sigh and took a seat. She grabbed her table and went back to work.

CRASH!

"Alex!"

Alex sighed and placed her tablet down. "I'm coming!"

Lena was in her office, a glass of scotch in her hand. She closed her eyes, wanting a few seconds to herself after a stressful meeting with her board, when her door opened. Lena took a deep breath, keeping her eyes closed.

"I said no visitors Jess," Lena said, taking a sip from her drink.

"Not even me?" Kara asked. Lena opened her eyes to see the reporter grinning at the CEO.

Lena let out a small laugh and nodded. "You are always a special visitor. What brings you by?"

"I brought lunch. Well not really lunch, but food," Kara grinned, before showing the CEO a donut bag and coffee. Lena signaled for the couch in her office and smiled as she watched Kara rush to it. Lena followed and grabbed the coffee Kara got her and sipped it. She watched as Kara ripped into the bag and took out a donut and tried to shove the whole thing into her mouth.

Lena just grinned behind her coffee.

"Breathe," Lena told her, only for Kara to look at her with her cheeks puffed and wide eyes.

"'m 'eethin'" Kara said, nodding her head. Once the donut was gone, Kara inhaled and grinned at Lena "See, I'm alive."

Lena laughed, and grabbed her donut, taking a regular sized bite. Kara grabbed her coffee and took a sip, only for some of the drink to spill onto her lap. Kara's eyes widened and jumped up to her feet.

"Oh my god this burns!" Kara exclaimed, jumping in place. Lena stood up with Kara and started to pat her lap, and the Kryptonian whimpered, her eyes wide. "Make it stop!"

Lena looked at the panic in Kara's eyes. She looked to her desk and grabbed the glass of scotch there and threw it onto Kara's lap. The blonde looked surprised. Kara opened her mouth, blinking in confusion.

Lena stared back, glass in hand, eyes widened.

Kara started to laugh and Lena followed closed behind. The two sat back down.

"Well that happened," Lena said, signaling for Kara's wet lap.

Kara laughed. "Yeah, didn't think it would burn that much."

Lena laughed, "What happened to your powers?"

"Blew them out," Kara answered, shrugging. She grabbed Lena's donut and took a bite.

Lena shook her head, smiling, watching her best friend. Kara was enjoying the donut. Lena grabbed her coffee and took another sip.

Kelly looked at Kara, who had a pack of ice on her head. Kelly had been working in her apartment when Kara arrived, knocking on the door. She opened it to see an injured Kryptonian with no powers.

"How did this happen?" Kelly asked, moving the ice bag and checking her forehead. She pushed Kara's hair out of the way and looked at the injury. The area had slight discoloration and she could see a cut going into her hairline. Kelly shook her head, gently touching the bump on Kara's forehead.

"That pole got in my way," Kara whispered, pressing the ice back on her forehead, hissing at the cold feeling. She tilted her head back and closed her eyes.

"Are you usually this klutzy?" Kelly asked, sitting down next to the girl. "I mean, this is your what? Fifth injury since you lost your powers?"

Kara let out a small laugh. "I broke my arm the first time I solar flared."

Kelly laughed as she grabbed her phone. "I do have to text your sister, you do know that, right?"

The Kryptonian let out a sigh. "I know. She's going to mock me about it."

"That's what big sisters are for," Kelly said, sending out the text message. "Do you know when you are getting your powers back?"

Kara shrugged. "I don't really know. It's been barely a day, it might take a little longer than that. Alex said to just wait."

Kelly let out a belly laugh upon hearing that. "A day?"

"Don't laugh. Being human is hard," Kara told her, pouting. Kelly couldn't take her seriously with how she held the ice pack against her head.

The human shook her head. "We're gonna have to put you in a protective bubble if this keeps happening."

"Please don't joke about that."

Kelly laughed. "How did your powers come back last time?"

"Fear I think. I mean, James fell into an elevator shaft," Kara told her, and that sobered Kelly up.

"He what?!"

"He never told you?"

Before Kelly could respond, Alex texted back. Upon reading the message, she let out a laugh. "So your sister agrees with me."

"I hate all of you."

J'onn and Kara were in the tower, both looking for a lead about an alien. Kara was not allowed to go out to look for it, but J'onn wanted the company.

"So we should see if there is a common recurrence," Kara muttered, her eyes reading the page in front of her.

"Hungry?" J'onn asked, looking at the younger alien.

Kara nodded, changing articles. "It would be so much better to read with my powers. This is so slow."

J'onn laughed as he walked into the built-in kitchen in the Tower. He reached into his freezer and took out the potstickers he kept in there. He placed a few on a plate and shoved them into the microwave. He could hear Kara complaining and it kept a smile on his face. He liked the noise. The microwave signaled that the food was ready within a few minutes and he pulled out the hot snacks.

He transferred some into another plate and went back to the blond alien, handing her the potstickers. Kara smiled her thanks and did not hesitate to shove one into her mouth, only for her to cry out and let the potsticker fall onto her keyboard. Kara cried out as she fanned her mouth. "Hot!" she shouted, and J'onn just stared at her with wide eyes.

J'onn looked at the girl he saw as a daughter, who was jumping in place.

"Help!"

J'onn nodded and ran to his kitchen to grab some ice and rushed to give it to Kara. She quickly grabbed a cube and shoved it into her mouth, letting out a sigh of relief.

"Better?"

Kara nodded, rubbing her forehead, flinching when she pressed against her head bump. "Be'ter," Kara responded, nodding her head.

J'onn chuckled. "You really need to be put into protective gear."

Kara just glared at him.

"Want to get dinner?" Nia asked, looking at the Kryptonian, and Kara just glared. Nia let out a laugh. "Still can't taste?" Nia, Alex, Lena, Kelly, J'onn and Brainy were in a group chat where they spoke about all the Kara-incidents.

"No," Kara answered, wincing when her tongue touched the roof of her mouth. Nia felt for her, having remembered that experience, and Nia was sure Kara hadn't gone through that many times.

NIa laughed, as the two women walked down the street. They had just finished their day with Catco.

"Humans are just so fragile," Kara muttered, shaking her head.

"You're fragile," Nia responded, "Not everyone gets hurt like you. You need special care."

Kara shot her a look. They stopped at the stoplight, waiting for the crosswalk to tell them to walk.

"I'm rarely powerless. Usually it takes more than human things to bring me down," Kara responded, while they walked down the street.

The two made it across without incident. Nia looked at her mentor. "You are so lucky you are practically invincible. Cause you'd be dead."

"I already died twice," Kara responded, frowning.

Nia shook her head. "We don't talk about those times." Nia was fortunate to have joined the 'Superfriends' months after the Reign incident, and Kara's coma. And she had heard about Red Daughter killing Kara, and she was glad she wasn't there. She didn't know what she would have done in those moments.

Kara shook her head. Nia watched as Kara took a step and stepped on a rock. It took her off balance and Nia flinched when she saw Kara's ankle twist before she hit the ground.

"Kara, are you okay?" Nia asked, only to get a glare in return. "I'm going to call Brainy, he'll help you back to your place."

Kara nodded as she pushed herself up to her feet. With Nia's help, Kara and Nia moved to the side. Kara leaned against the wall, taking pressure off her ankle.

"Does it hurt?"

Kara nodded, "Yeah, it's going to hurt for a small while."

Nia shot her a smile. They didn't have to wait too long before Brainy showed up. He looked at the two, before looking at Kara's ankle. "That is going to swell in less than a minute. We should probably take you to the DEO to have it checked out."

Kara shook her head. "No, it'll heal when I get my powers back. Just take me home, please."

Brainy turned to Nia, who nodded. "I'll let the others know."

Brainy turned to Kara and offered his arm. Kara moved closer and he picked her up, flying into the sky. Nia just shook her head, grabbing her phone to let the group know of the new injury to add to the list.

Kara let out a yawn, tired of her day. Her head was in pain, her finger stung a little, and she could feel the pain from her tongue, and her ankle was throbbing. Brainy had dropped her off and left after Kara told him to. She told him she just wanted to go to sleep. She had just finished brushing her teeth, when there was a knock. Frowning, she limbed towards it to open it and saw her friends standing there.

Kara frowned, looking at the group of adults in front of her. "What are you guys doing?" She eyed the items in her arms, already knowing why they were there and just wanted to go to bed.

"You need to be protected," Alex answered, a box of bandages in her hand.

Kelly was grinning with a motorcycle helmet in her hands. She showed it to Kara. "You only have one head."

She turned to Lena, who was hiding something behind her back. "And you? What do you have?" Kara asked, raising an eyebrow.

Lena beamed. She showed Kara the item in her hand. "We are wrapping you up in bubble wrap."

Kara just stared at her, and Lena gave her a grin.

"I've got the knee pads," Nia said, beaming.

Alex and Kelly started to laugh. J'onn let out a chuckle and Brainy grinned, humor in his eyes. Kara rolled her eyes, ready to close the door on her friends.

"C'mon Kara, we are just messing with you," Alex said, trying to stop her laughing.

Kara rolled her eyes and leaned towards the door as she let the group in.

J'onn, Kelly, Brainy and Nia shook their heads. Leaving the 'gifts', they said goodbyes and left. Alex and Lena walked into the apartment. Kara closed it and looked at the two women.

"So, is someone going to help me?" Kara asked, limping.

Alex laughed, and helped Kara to the couch. The blond leaned back. "I don't like being human."

Lena let out a laugh, looking at Kara fondly. Kara propped her ankle up and closed her eyes. "I am so tired."

"Go to sleep, Alex and I will be here."

Kara nodded her head, letting herself fall asleep.

Morning came and Kara woke up. She squinted in the light, letting out a small groan when she felt a small pounding against her head, but it was better than before. She pushed herself up and groaned when her ankle started to throb. She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply.

"And how are you feeling?" she heard someone ask and looked over to see Lena leaning against the doorframe.

"Hungry," Kara muttered, and Lena was quick to offer to help her to the kitchen.

Once there, Kara and Lena started to work together to make breakfast. Lena told Kara she was not allowed to touch the stove, so Kara was made to cut the vegetable. "Are you sure this will be okay?"

Lena nodded. "I'm sure you can cut the peppers without injuring yourself."

Kara shrugged, "Okay, if you say so."

Lena gave her a smile.

"I can't taste anything," Kara pouted, looking at the vegetables on the table. She let out a breath and turned to Lena, who was grinning at her.

"Guess you just have to get your powers back to heal."

Kara opened the drawer with the knives in them and shut it close, not moving her fingers in time. She yelped when the drawer closed on her fingers. She waved them in pain. Lena rolled her eyes and grabbed her hand. "What are we going to do with you?"

"Kiss it better?" Kara offered, giving Lena a sheepish smile.

With another eye roll, Lena brought Kara's hand to her lips and gave her fingers a kiss. Kara blushed, eyes wide. She let out an awkward laugh, before an idea popped into her head.

"You know, my lips hurt too."

Lena narrowed her eyes. "You are not smooth, I hope you know that."

Kara pouted. "So no kiss?"

Lena placed her hands on Kara's face and pulled her in for a kiss. Kara leaned into her, leaving the knife down and pulling Lena closer.

"You guys are so cliche," Alex said, causing the two to jump away. They turned to Alex with blushing cheeks. "As cute as that was, I am hungry, so can you guys do that after?"

Lena went back to the stove, while Kara started to cut the vegetables. It went well for the first few seconds, when she felt someone touch her waist. She was not expecting it, and jumped, her hand moving and cutting what it was not supposed to.

"Oh my god!" Kara exclaimed, looking at the blood.

"Oh my god," Lena whispered, her eyes wide.

Alex just looked at the two. She grabbed a clean dish towel and walked up to Kara. "Useless. You're both useless."
