Alright, Let's Raise an Alien Baby

Kid Kara's time with the Legends. A part of "So Who's Going To Tell Team Supergirl We Lost Supergirl?"

John looked at the book, before turning to look at the little girl in Sara's arms. "So it turns out I can't reverse the spell, it will run its course."

"So we just have to wait it out?" Ava asked, a slight frown on her face.

"That is exactly what I am saying," he responded, nodding his head. He looked at the two women, before shrugging. "I'll leave you to it then."

Sara's eyes widened, and she tensed up. Kara grumbled in her sleep, pressing herself against Sara's chest. She turned to Ava. "I can't take care of a child," she whispered.

Ava looked at Kara, who looked adorable in her eyes. She looked at Sara's fear filled eyes. "You aren't going to do it alone."

Sara pulled Kara closer and nodded. "Alright, let's raise an alien baby."

Kara rubbed her eyes, letting out a small yawn. She let out a small sigh, feeling the softness of the bed under her body. She looked to her side to see a blond lady reading. She slowly and carefully moved over to lay closer to her. Kara felt safer with the woman, she had helped her when she got hurt.

The woman noticed the movement and looked down at Kara. She gave her a smile and Kara just looked up at her.

"Hey," she greeted, giving her a small smile.

Kara turned her body so she was laying on her stomach and looking at the woman. "Food?" Kara asked, her stomach growling.

The stranger smiled fondly. "Of course."

Kara pushed herself off the bed and looked up at the woman. "Kara," she said in the strange alien language.

The woman nodded. "Hello Kara, I'm Sara," she said.

Kara nodded and raised her arms, wanting Sara to pick her up. She liked the blond's arms. She reminded her of her mother.

"Mama?" Kara questioned in her mother tongue.

Sara frowned softly, before nodding. "Your mama is on a mission. But she told me to tell you she loves you."

Kara frowned, not entirely knowing what the woman was saying. "Food? I'm hungry."

Sara smiled fondly. "Let's get food for you."

Zari watched in disgust as tiny Kara grabbed the chocolate with her bare hands and shoved it into her mouth. She looked at her salad, before pushing it away. "I am not hungry."

Kara looked at her, her hands covered in chocolate frosting, and at the salad. She looked up at Sara, who was watching with a proud look on her face.

"Go on, try it," Sara told the young girl.

Kara pulled the plate to her and sniffed the food. She gagged and shook her head, muttering something in kryptonese.

Ava frowned, pushing the salad closer to the girl. "Try it, it's good for you."

Kara frowned and shook her head. "Ew," she said in her little accented voice. Zari couldn't stop herself from aweing.

Kara pushed the salad back, her chocolate covered hands leaving her handprints on the plate. She looked at Sara's burger and pointed to it.

She opened her mouth and spoke in Kryptonese, but Zari didn't understand her. She looked at Sara, who seemed to understand her and nodded. Sara broke a piece off her burger and gave it to Kara, who then tried to shove the whole thing into her mouth. She seemed to enjoy it, inhaling.

It was then the child started to choke on the piece of food. Sara and Ava quickly shot up. Ava reached Kara first and wrapped her arms around her, starting the heimlich on her. Kara started to claw at her throat as her face began to change colors.

Zari watched as Ava worked to dislodge the food, when the piece of burger flew out of Kara's mouth and landed on the table. Kara inhaled fresh air and began to cry. Sara quickly pulled the girl into her arms and held her tightly.

"Hey, it's okay, you're okay. You're okay," Sara whispered, her own eyes closed and rubbing Kara's back. The little girl cried into Sara's shoulders, her little hands into fists.

Ava reached down and started to rub Kara's head, and Zari could only watch as the co-captains tried to calm the little girl.

Zari couldn't help but smile, knowing that her co-captains would make great parents if they ever decided to go down that road.

Nate and Behrad were busy playing on their console, when Nate paused the game. "How much more time before Little Kara becomes Big Kara?"

Behrad shrugged. He leaned back and looked at Nate. "A few more hours probably."

"Do you think Little Kara is going to have her memory?"

"I think her brain went back with her."

Nate sighed and looked up at the ceiling. "What I wouldn't do to forget my dad's death. At least she doesn't remember her parents' deaths."

They heard a small squeak and looked over to see Kara staring at them. Kara frowned, "Mama dead?"

"Shit," Behrad muttered, and Nate stood up.

"No, Kara-"

The little girl shook her head. She looked around before running off.

Nate and Behrad looked at each other. "Shit."

Mick Rory was reading his book, when his door opened. He looked over to see no one.

"Gideon, who is in here?" Mick asked, reaching for his gun.

"It seems Ms. Danvers has snuck into the room. She is hiding behind your pile of clothes," Gideon asked.

Before Mick could say anything, he saw Kara pop up with an angry look on her face. She grabbed one of Mick's shoes and threw it at the ceiling.

"Hey!" Gideon exclaimed, but Kara grabbed another shoe and tossed it. She said something in Kryptonese.

"Mr. Rory, please contain the child," Gideon told him, her voice filled with annoyance.

Mick let out a small chuckle and walked up to Kara. The little girl stopped and looked up at him, before looking behind him. She grinned and ran around him. Her little body made it hard for Mick to grab her. Kara grabbed his heat gun and ran out of the room.

"Get back here!" He shouted, but Kara was quicker. She turned the corner and before Mick knew it, she was gone. "Gideon, find her."

Gideon let out a sigh.

"Captain Lance, it appears Miss Danvers has gotten her hands on Mick's heat gun," Gideon said, and Sara froze. She looked at Ava, who stared back with wide eyes.

"Not again," Ava muttered, running behind the former assassin.

The two blonds ran out of the room and followed Gideon's instructions. It didn't take them long to find all the Legends in front of Kara. The little girl was frowning at everyone, her hands on the gun.

Sara had to give it to the girl, Kara knew how to hold the gun. Her fingers were on the trigger.

"Sara!" Kara exclaimed, her eyes lighting up. "Sara, mama?"

Sara inched closer to Kara, but the girl just aimed the gun at her. Sara raised her arms to show the small alien she meant to harm.

"Hey, we aren't going to hurt you. You know that, you know us."

"Want mama," Kara said, shaking her head.

Sara inched closer to Kara, her hand extended for the gun. "Kara, please?"

Kara shook her head. "Mama dead! Papa dead!"

"No, Kara, sweetie, your mama is in Argo city. She's alive, And she's going to come get you, I promise."

The small Krytponian shook her head, her tears falling on the ground. Her little body trembling from her sobs.

"Babe, it isn't working, we should just wait her out," Ava tried, shaking her head.

Sara let out a sigh and let herself fall backwards so she was sitting on the ground.

Kara stared at Sara, before looking at everyone else.

Nate stepped forward and steeled up when he got in front of Kara.

"No!" The little girl pulled the trigger and the small push back from the gun pushed Kara back. She almost hit the ground when Behrad quickly activated his totem to make sure the girl didn't hit the ground.

Sara rushed forward and grabbed the girl, holding her close.

"Want mama," Kara cried, pushing herself closer to Sara.

"I know baby, I know. But you have us until them. You have me," Sara whispered, rocking the child.

Kara cried as she gripped Sara's hair. Sara started to hum softly, before singing a small lullaby. It seemed to relax Kara enough to release Sara's hair. Kara's cries seemed to slow as Sara sang, and before long, she was asleep in Sara's arms.

Sara turned to the Legends, all of whom were watching. "Crisis averted," She said, grinning at the tema. All of them huffed and stormed off, leaving Ava, Nate and Behrad behind.

"This was all our fault, we're sorry," Behrad said, scratching his head. Nate nodded his head, looking apologetic

"It's okay B. Let's just not talk about Kara's life until she's back to normal again," Ava said, looking at the girl.

"Let's just get her to bed. I hope Team Supergirl is able to take her back when they can," Sara said, walking back to her quarters.

Kara seemed to slowly wake from the walk and opened her eyes, looking at Sara. "Sa'a," she whispered, her mouth pressed against Sara's shoulder. "S'ry."

"It's okay, just sleep and when you wake up everything should be back to normal."

Kara let out a small sigh and fell back asleep. Once in their quarters, Ava pulled the comforters from the bed and Sara laid the girl down. Kara whimpered, but seemed to relax. Sara tucked Kara in the bed and sat down next to her.

"Holy shit," Sara muttered, rubbing her face.

"Now I know why she's moved from team to team. How does Team Supergirl deal with this?"

"Major respect to Alex and Lena. I mean, it hasn't even been a day and we're ready to give up."

"Captains," Gideon said, her voice exasperated.

"Yes Gideon?" Ava answered, looking up to the ceiling.

"Miss Danvers is no longer allowed on my ship."
