Chapter Ten: Movie with Two Perspectives...

Sam glanced around the crowded parking lot, worry nagging at him. "Um... we might have to walk a ways to get to the theatre."

"I'm fine with that if your okay with that." Amber shrugged, not particularly concerned if they had to walk a ways to get there or not.

"Okay." The self-driving car parked in the nearest spot... which was a ways away form the building.

Unbuckling, the two teens exited the vehicle and headed to the building. Upon entering, they both paled at the sight of the long line at the ticket stand. "Wow... good thing Mom bought our tickets ahead of time." Sam fingered the envelope that held said tickets, glad that they didn't have to go through that long line to get them.

Walking past the line, he showed the tickets to the attendant who ushered them into the correct theatre without too much fuss. As they walked through the theatre, Amber noticed a flicker of movement out of the corner of her eye... a flicker of movement that resembled that of the mystery minions that she and her team had fought off the other day. Sam offered for her to enter the row first, a grin on his face. "I heard that this movie is out of this world. Get it? Because its about aliens...?"

Amber forced out a laugh as she sat down. "Oh, I get it. Good one Sam." Amber mentally beat herself up, she's been dreaming about going on a date with him since seventh grade... why was she being so distracted just because she noticed one of the Creeps was snooping around the theatre... Amber glanced around the rapidly filling up room, her mind made up. "Hey, Sam, I'm gonna go get us some popcorn..." Leaping up, she slipped out of the row of seats.

"Uh... hurry! The show is about to start!" Sam called after her, bewilderment flashing through him.

"Will do!" Amber called back as she sprinted out of the room. Ducking into the women's restroom, she made a beeline for one of the stalls. "Let's see if this even works..." Closing her eyes, stall door closed so as to keep people from noticing her, she quickly spun into a spinjitzu tornado.

Amber took a deep breath to still her nerves, before flipping out of the stall... out of the restroom and into the busy lobby. "Hey! Creep! I'm talking to you!" The Creep spun around, a low growl escaping it.

Unfortunately, that was when everyone else noticed it and decided to freak out...

Sam shifted slightly as the movie started, still no sign of Amber anywhere. Biting his bottom lip, he glanced down at his watch, debating on whether or not he should just do it. But no. His family made him promise that he would never reveal what he could do to anyone... and unfortunately that included Amber. A sigh escaped him as he shifted in his seat, deciding that it would be selfish of him to use his powers to make his first ever date with his lifelong crush to go smoothly anyways.

Amber groaned as she slammed into the far wall, the Creep snarling as it paced back and forth in front of the darkened corner of the theatre. Glancing over at it, she noticed that there appeared to be a small piece of the Overlord sitting in the corner as well, semi stuck to the wall. Pressing her comlink on, she contacted the one person that she knew would still be up and available. "Ice... its me... uh... Amber. We have a situation at the movie theatre. There's another piece here plus a Creep. Get the others here ASAP. I'll hold it off." Amber disconnected the call, barely in time to block a punch thrown by the Creep.

"Everyone! Please evacuate the area calmly!" Amber hollered, twisting around to throw the Creep into the wall... let's see how it liked that.

The panic that everyone was in appeared to somehow strengthen tenfold as everyone began clogging the exits. Yeah... not what she had in mind at all.

Sam fidgeted as the movie continued on, his gaze flipping between the door and his watch. Was there a long line at the snack stand? Maybe he should check on her, make sure that everything was okay...? Sam drummed his fingers on his leg, foot bouncing from his anxiety. He hated not knowing what was going on... wait. What if she wasn't getting popcorn... what if she was avoiding him!? He must have done something to make her not like him... oh no what if she suspected about his abilities!?

"About time you guys showed up! I'm missing the movie here!" Amber snarled, snapped at her teammates as they finally showed up.

Storm sheepishly took a step back. "Sorry... we had to deal with something so that I could join the fight." Translation, his blood sugar was too low so he needed to get something down him.

"Are you alright now Lightning?" Amber questioned her cousin, mentally noting that at least he crashed on the way to the battle and not on it.

"I'm Lightning... he's Water... seriously we are not twins!" Ocean flung her hands in the air, exasperation flooding her.

Amber opened and closed her mouth a couple of times, before deciding to point out a small detail with that statement, mainly the reason why everyone presumed that they were twins. "You are only twelve months and two hours apart. And he skipped a grade. You tell me why everyone mistakes you for twins." Somehow Amber managed not to slap herself in the face.

Icey spoke up, her brows furrowed slightly. "Tech looked up the definition of twins once. Technically the year doesn't count. As long as you are siblings born to the same parents on the same day... nothing about the year so..."

"Wait... you mean we actually are twins?!" Ocean and Storm snapped their heads back fairly quickly to gawk at Icey.

Juni bounced slightly, a grin creasing his mask. "Yep!"

"Guys! Focus! Battle!" Amber gestured at the Creep as it crouched low once more.

Sam sighed as Amber finally made it back into the theatre, with a small thing of popcorn. Plopping back down into her seat, she twisted around to hold the bag of popcorn up to him. "What did I miss?"

"The entire movie..." Sam gestured to the screen, which was currently playing the end credits.

"Oh..." Amber winced, glancing at the large screen, and scanning the nearly empty room. "Sorry about that, long line."

Sam sighed, before standing up and making his way out of there. Probably shouldn't tell her that he hadn't been paying any attention to the movie anyways due to her running late. Stepping out in the lobby, he froze upon noticing the mess that the ninjas had left it in. "What did I miss!?"

An employee, who was sweeping up the debris from the battle, looked at him with pure amazement. "An entire ninja battle... that's what. Thankfully the Amber Ninja was here before the others and got most of us away from the battle before it truly began."

"I guess we both missed stuff?" Amber wondered how she was supposed to explain why it was that she apparently noticed a long line and not a battle going on.

"Yeah... We both missed all the excitement."

A/N: Done! Phew. About the conversations about twins... my family has quite a few twins in it, as well as a few members that simply share a birthday. My one sister as two sons that share a birthday that 'aren't' twins. She as always jokingly called them her almost twins... until one day she decided to look up teh definitive of twins and discovered year does not matter... same parents and same day do... year doesn't. Meaning her almost twins actually are twins! And thus Storm and Ocean are twins that didn't realize that they are twins. Just cause I could!
