Jay tried not to wince as Lloyd pushed the wheelchair down the street. He really should not have been released from the hospital yet, but Wu managed to pull some strings. Not that Wu bothered to explain why Jay needed to get out of the hospital.

"Gah! Careful," Jay said as Lloyd pushed the chair over a pothole.

"Sorry," Lloyd said.

"What's the point of this? It's not like we're ever going home," Jay moaned.

"Well, I don't want to get your hopes up, but Mystaké asked for everyone to meet at the Bounty. That's why we had to spring you early," Lloyd explained.

"Probably to tell us she can't get us home."

"Don't say that. Look, there's the Bounty."

Jay looked up and saw Cliff and Libby walking towards the ship. They stopped and gasped when they saw him. Libby ran over to them.

"What happened to you?"

"I don't want to talk about it," Jay said.

"Is this why we were asked to come here?"

"I don't know."

Libby took over pushing the wheelchair and pushed Jay up the gangplank. Ed, Edna, Koko, Lou, and Anna were on the deck sitting with the ninja. Dr. Julien had managed to mostly assemble Zane's body, but he couldn't get the mechanics to work to get Zane powered up. Mystaké and Wu were waiting for everyone.

"Glad you could make it. Say your goodbyes, ninja. We're going home," Mystaké said.

"We are? How?" Kai asked.

Mystaké pulled out a small vial on a string she wore around her neck. Inside the vial was a bright pink liquid.

"What is that?" Cole asked.

"When the Oni first invaded Ninjago in search of the First Spinjitzu Master, we were given these vials to allow us to go home. It didn't matter which realm we were in, this potion would take us back. I never used mine because I fell in love with Ninjago and decided to stay. I kept it, just in case one day I needed it. That day has come." Mystaké clutched the vial and closed her eyes.

"You could've sent us home at any time?! Why didn't you use that when we first found you?!" Jay demanded.

"Because despite your claims that things have changed, I still think of the First Realm the way I knew it. I don't know what will happen when I return there, especially if the Oni really are gone like you say they are. Now gather up your things and say goodbye before I change my mind."

The ninja nodded and everyone except Jay headed below deck. Lloyd followed them. He sat on the couch and watched them pack.

"I can't believe you guys are leaving," Lloyd said.

"I know. We get to go home finally," Kai said.

"I don't know if I want to see my dad. I know he will have done something dramatic, I just don't know what," Cole said as he folded his clothes.

"What could he have done? Paint the house?"

"Maybe sell the house, move into a van, and get another tattoo."

"I still can't believe he has one of those."

"Your dad has a tattoo?" Lloyd glanced at the stairs leading to the deck where the parents were waiting.

"I'm not sure if Lou here has one, but my dad has one on his shoulder. But he is very good at hiding it," Cole explained.

Lloyd shook his head and started grabbing Jay's things. Once he had Jay's things packed, he helped Kai pack Zane's things.

"Are you excited to go home?" Lloyd asked Nya.

Nya shrugged. She grabbed her bag and waited by the door. Cole grabbed his bag and went up with Nya. Kai and Lloyd followed closely behind.

"You're going to bring our kids back, right?" Maya asked as she hugged Kai.

"One way or another, we will get them home," Kai said.

"I'm going to hold you to that."

Kai nodded and looked over to where his friends were saying their goodbyes.

"I'm sure your Anna would've been proud of you," Anna said.

"I think so. I can't guarantee that your son will react well to… this." Cole gestured to Anna and Lou.

"He'll have to get used to it," Lou said.

"Be extra careful when you get home," Edna said as she hugged Jay.

"Yeah, yeah, I know." Jay rolled his eyes when Edna kissed his forehead.

"I hope you can get him working again." Dr. Julien handed Zane over to Nya.

"We'll get P.I.X.A.L. or Borg to look at him right away." Cole took Zane from Nya and secured him to Jay's wheelchair.

"What about me?" Jay asked.

"I assumed you were going to work on rocket boosters for your wheelchair."

"That is an idea."

"Okay. Everyone who isn't traveling to another realm needs to vacate this ship," Mystaké said after a while.

"Good luck, ninja," Wu said. He led everyone down the gangplank onto the shore.

"Lloyd?" Koko asked when she noticed he wasn't behind her.

"I'm going with them," Lloyd said.

"No, you're not."

"Yes, I am. They're my friends and I need to make sure they're okay."

"They can do that. Now come on."

"No. I have to do this, Mom. I'm going with them."

"Lloyd!"

"You don't get it, Mom. You're not a ninja. But my friends are stuck in another world and I'm going to make sure they get back. Besides, who's going to keep these guys from hurting themselves even further?"

"Hey!" Kai said.

Koko looked at Wu, who nodded. Koko sighed as she approached Lloyd. She wrapped him in a hug.

"Come back safe," Koko whispered.

"I will," Lloyd said.

"You're still grounded when you get back." Koko kissed his cheek.

"Mom!"

Koko hid her tears as she joined the other parents on shore.

Mystaké opened up the vial. The pink liquid began to bubble and pink smoke rose up. Mystaké began to chant something in another language. The smoke quickly engulfed the entire deck of the ship. After almost thirty seconds of the smoke getting thicker and thicker, it suddenly dissipated, revealing an empty deck.
