"Lunch!" Misako called.
Everyone put their weapons away and headed inside. Misako was busy filling bowls with tomato soup as they entered the kitchen.
"Everyone gets one sandwich, and there's popcorn in the maker." Misako pointed at a stack of grilled cheese sandwiches on a platter next to the stove.
Everyone grabbed some food and sat down. There wasn't enough room at the kitchen table for everyone, so Lloyd, Alt-Lloyd, Jay, Nya, Alt-Nya, Alt-Kai, and Garmadon ate in the living room. Misako refused to let anyone eat on the bean bags so they had set up card tables and folding chairs earlier that week.
While they ate, the front door opened. Everyone in the living room turned around.
"I'm back," Mystaké said.
"Mystaké," Garmadon grumbled.
"Garmadon."
"Do you have the Traveler's Tea?" Lloyd asked.
"Of course. Whenever you're ready, we can get started. Where's Wu?"
"Uncle Wu! Get out here!"
"Lloyd, what is- Mystaké! You're back!" Wu stood in the doorway of the kitchen. Everyone in the kitchen quickly ran behind him.
"I am. Like I told Lloyd, whenever you are ready. Where are my supplies from my shop? I need to check my inventory," Mystaké said.
"This way. Are you planning on reopening your shop?" Wu led her down the hall.
"Of course. What else am I supposed to do? Retire?"
The alt-ninja scarfed down their food and ran to pack. Wu came back just as everyone else was finishing up their lunch and cleaning the kitchen. Cole was munching on leftover popcorn as he helped clean off the table.
"Before they leave, I want you six to go through your rooms and double-check that they didn't forget anything. We will not have the chance to return it to them," Wu said.
"Yes, Sensei." Kai put his dishes in the sink and went to the bedrooms. Cole grabbed a handful of popcorn and followed.
"Zane, please keep an eye on them."
"Yes, Sensei." Zane left the kitchen.
"I'm glad they're finally going home. I'm sure their families miss them terribly," Misako said as she wiped off the counter.
"Undoubtedly," Wu said.
"I'm going to miss them, though it will be nice to finally have everything back to normal."
"I don't think they're going to miss me," Garmadon said as he came into the kitchen carrying a stack of plates.
"They might. I think they've warmed up to you a bit," Misako said.
As they finished cleaning up, Mistaké came into the kitchen. She was holding a box of Earl Gray tea.
"You had Traveler's Tea," Mystaké said.
"No, I didn't. I used the last of mine up, and I didn't see any when I was cleaning out your shop," Wu said.
"That's because I keep it hidden in case someone tries to steal it." Mystaké opened up the box of Earl Gray and pulled out a teabag. The contents sparkled blue inside the bag.
"Oh."
"You could've sent them back anytime?" Garmadon asked.
"I did not know that was in there. Do not tell any of them," Wu said. He grabbed a teapot and put some water on to boil.
It wasn't long before the alt-ninja came out, bags in hands.
"We're ready," Alt-Kai said.
"Well, the tea isn't. You made sure you had everything?" Wu asked.
"Yeah."
"Okay. Because we aren't going to open a second portal if you did."
Alt-Jay ran back to double-check. Twenty minutes later, he and everyone else were absolutely certain they had left nothing behind and went to the courtyard. Wu grabbed the teapot and joined them. Mystaké put the teabag into the pot.
"All you have to do is think of your homeworld," Wu said as he handed the teapot to Alt-Lloyd.
"That's it?" Alt-Lloyd asked.
"Traveler's Tea is very powerful," Mystaké said.
"Good luck, guys," Lloyd said.
The alt-ninja joined hands.
"I can't believe we're finally going home," Alt-Kai said.
Alt-Lloyd poured the tea onto the ground. A portal appeared and they saw the Ninjago City Park. Alt-Lloyd put the teapot on the ground and took Alt-Zane's hand. He took a deep breath and led his team into the portal.
