Shinji and Asuka learn about themselves and fall in love, causing massive ramifications. A remake of the late 94Saturn's quintessential ShinjixAsuka story, it is part tribute and part experiment, taking the structure and plot of the original wacky shipping story while attempting to maintain series-true characterization.

This is a sequel for Asuka's Whopper Day, so there will be spoilers. Christmas had arrived, and both pilots prepared for a beautiful night but little did both know that this night would change their lives.

In the Rebuild timeline, Asuka Shikinami Langley was chosen as the test Pilot for Unit 03's activation, leading to the events that unfolded. But what if Shinji was given the choice to become Unit 03's test Pilot? How much would this one choice change the entire timeline? Would he and everyone around him ever come to regret his choices?

After his 'discussion' with Leliel, Shinji gains a much stronger desire to live, although in a weird way. It's still considered the best possible thing that his trauma could have done to him.

A veteran of the impact wars is unwittingly roped into NERV's fight against the Angels, and finds himself increasingly entangled in the lives of the people he finds there. NERV's young pilots find in this foreigner some semblance of understanding, someone who also went to war when they were young, and knows on some level what they are going through.

Fifteen years after Second Impact, the world faces its deepest conflict. NERV, a militaristic organization in Japan, drafts young soldiers aged 14 to combat the mysterious organization SEELE and their super soldiers; the Angels. Shinji Ikari is taken from his mundane existence back home and is confronted with a life-threatening task as he learns to come to terms with his existence.

Shinji and Misato have been roommates for a while and have begun to become close to one another however a terrible event happens that results in them becoming far closer. Misato Shinji fanfic, that takes place after the battle with Shamshel with the ages altered slightly just to make it come off as less awkward.

The Angel Wars are over; Third Impact is averted; the villains are in jail. But NERV now must reimburse the UN for the EVAs' multi-billion yen cost. What to do? Why, option the Children's adventures for TV, of course, preferably mixed and matched with other franchises. Everyone wins. Right?

Misato buys Shinji a journal as a moving-in gift, hoping it will help him confront his fears. What follows is a window into his mind as he learns to understand and come to terms with his feelings better. (Also available on Archive of Our Own. Rating and pairings are subject to change.)
