Eternal Luffy 5

Qrow had left Tai's shortly after the girls went off to Beacon. He had to go find his sister. After looking for a few weeks he through sheer luck stumbled onto Raven's camp. When he found the place he asked for an audience with Raven. Now there are some who recognized Qrow from his time with the camp. Raven upon being told Qrow is here is curious as to why and allows him in. They meet in Raven's tent.

Raven "What brings you here Qrow? You know the cost of returning from banishment."

Qrow "I am well aware yes. I am here for a few different reasons the first of wich is to let you know Yang started Beacon. Beyond that I am here because Luffy sent me to find you said you have a role to play and he would like you as an ally not an enemy. I imagine you know who Luffy is personally I had never heard of him until recently."

Raven "I do know who Luffy is he is the one who told me to question everything Ozpin told me. Why has he entered the field? He told me he was the silent keeper of the peace between Ozpin and Salem."

Qrow "Salem sent an agent a women to steal the fall maiden's powers. She succeeded and Luffy revealed himself and has declared War on Ozpin and Salem. He asked me if I would choose family over Ozpin and I said yes. You should know after Summer died I never trusted Ozpin again but I felt bound to finish what Summer started. Luffy is giving me a chance to change my semblance and stop hurting those I love. I am siding with him and my nieces and while I know you are no friend of Ozpin if you have sided with Salem then I am sorry and we will be enemies."

Raven is rather stunned by what Qrow just said Salem collecting the maiden's powers that would tip all the power to her. No wonder Luffy stepped in but war, could she subject her people to that. "I am no friend of Salem now nor in the future. I have to do some thinking on this war I am to assume there will be no bystanders amongst the pieces on the board and I find myself as one. Tell Luffy I am not against him but I am not sure I can be for him at the moment. I am happy to hear about Yang why don't you stay and tell me about her I missed so much."

Qrow's face lights up he always loves talking about his nieces. They talk long into the night and even as Raven begin's drinking she notices Qrow is not. She finds this curious but decides not to mention it as she is happy to see he may have climbed out of the bottle.

Eternal Luffy

That next morning both team RWBY and team JNPR are excited to see what this impact dial can do. They borrow a training room and Yang following the instructions shows it off and destroys the sparring dummy. This stuns both teams Yang and Pyrah had heard about it's power the night before but had not really believed it but to see it in action almost scares them. Yang remembers what Luffy said about it absorbing kinetic energy and storing it for later. She asks Nora to swing her hammer as hard she can on the shell as the dial will absorb the energy. Nora shrugs her shoulder and does as asked. With that done they head down for breakfast.

After grabbing food and sitting down to eat they hear Cardin and his team over pulling a rabbit faunus's ears and making fun of them. As soon as they move to intervene Luffy shows up.

Luffy "Cardin and team CRDL I find you breaking my rules. For that you will be punished. Let go of Velvet's ear and follow me now. If you don't your punishment will be worse of that I can assure you."

Cardin pulls harder on Velvets ear "We are not in your class so your rules don't apply besides I am just showing this animal her place."

Luffy grabs Cardin's hand and removes it from Velvets ear "My rules don't just apply to my classroom you would do well to remember that. Now seeing as you four can not follow instructions I will have to take you to my office to deliver Punishment." With that he extends his arms wraps around the 4 of them and carries them away.

The whole cafeteria is stunned at what they just saw. A teacher suddenly appearing as if out of thin air. Defending a student and then physically moving four students for discipline. Also what is up with his rules extend beyond his classroom. Blake sees this and can't help but be happy that a teacher is actually following through. The rest of teams RWBY and JNPR are surprised and the 8 of them begin talking amongst themselves about this new teacher.

When Luffy arrives in his office he deposits team CRDL in chairs. "Now your punishment is rather simple you will clean the entirety of Beacon save the staff and student dorms with toothbrushes. You will not be allowed to do anything else until this is done. If you fail you will have to begin again. You begin at sunrise tomorrow for today you four are my sparring dummies that is your punishment for not coming when told to." Luffy uses just a touch of haki to make them do what he wants.

With that settled he escorts them down to the training room. There is a classes all afternoon.

Luffy "Today we all will have a special treat. Because some of us can't follow directions you all get to watch me spar all class with them. I know several of you have been curious why I was selected this will show you. They will of course be using weapons aura and sembalnces. I will simply be using my fists and I will not be going all out as you need to watch and take notes. You will have a quiz at the end of the week on how early in the fight I could have landed a winning blow."

With that said the fighting begins. Team CRDL goes on the offensive straight away attempting to show up their new teacher who they believe is being unfair to them. Luffy simply avoids every attack not tacking advantage of the openings they are obviously leaving. He plays with them for around 5 minutes before he takes advantage of the openings in their collective guards and delivers one shot to end the fight. He then turns to the audience "So what was the main issue with team CRDL?"

They have a discussion while team CRDL recovers hopefully listening. They discuss how they didn't actually work as a team nor did they actually guard themselves. This continues for the rest of day team CRDL would fight and they would loose. Then they would discuss with the class. After all the classes ended for the day he sits down with team CRDL and explains why he was so hard on them.

That next day their real punishment begins and they begin cleaning the whole school. Their punishment ends up taking three days. As Luffy said they did not get a break nor did they stop until they were done.

Eternal Luffy

After the incident in the cafeteria Pyrah decides to go for a walk and do some thinking on what Luffy said. While she is on this walk she thinks about if she wants to really be different from the invincible girl. Yeah its a great thing to say but does she really want to give everything up. Yeah she isn't thrilled about the fame and the way people talk around her but on the other hand she really enjoys getting in anywhere she wants when she wants. It's a hard thing she is wrestling with but she keeps going back to two different reactions to her Juanne and Weiss. She really enjoyed not being recognized and Juanne wanting to be her friend for who he saw in her not for who competed.

She had been walking aimlessly when suddenly she finds herself in front of Professor Goodwitch's office. A bit surprised but she remembers Goodwitch was there when Luffy gave her her gift. So she knocks on the door and asks to be let in. After being allowed in she asks if they can talk.

Glynda "I can tell you have much on your mind. This wouldn't happen to have anything to do with Luffy's words would it?"

Pyrrah "That obvious? Yeah I mean I want to be more than just a tournament fighter but I don't know that I want to give up all my perks."

Glynda smiles "I understand that. I was never this highly thought of fighter like you but I was forced into leadership of my team when I was Ruby's age. My team found itself thrust into the limelight and myself doing various interviews. Suddenly I found myself getting various care packages from companies and endorsement offers even a few speaking engagements. By the time I graduated I had distanced myself from my team and all of my friends. A few years later I found myself operating as a lone huntress and it wasn't until I took a mission and almost died that I decided fame wasn't worth it. I reached back out to my former teammates and it took a long time but we got close again. After that mission I retired and took a job here at the school and left the limelight. I had to become more than the public persona because she was not a good person. You have not fallen that far yet and I hope you never do."

Pyrrah is stunned by that "I had no idea. How did you become more than your public persona?"

Glynda "For me I had to figure out who I was when it all got stripped away. It helped when I left missions behind and stayed away from the Good Witch."

Pyrrah "Is that really what they called you? Any advice?"

Glynda "Yeah they did it was terrible… Take it one day at a time. I would wear that helm Luffy gave you as a start. You need to begin to build the huntress Pyrrah, not the tournament champion. Find good friends Juanne is a good start though he needs some help with his combat skills."

Pyrrah "Thanks Juanne is a good guy I definitely don't regret being on a team with him. Perhaps I can help with those combat skills he is lacking and he can help keep me grounded."

Glynda smiles at that "That is a good idea. He will definitely keep you grounded."

With that Pyrrah leaves Glynda's office and heads back to her team. She finds them gathered with team RWBY discussing what had gone down in the cafeteria she chimes in with her two cents thats it was nice that someone was there to help the students who can't or won't defend themselves.

Blake "What do you mean can't or won't?"

Pyrrah "well its rather simple see either that girl couldn't stand up to team CRDL or she doesn't believe in unnecessary violence against people."

Blake "That makes sense I suppose. I know I wouldn't want to have to fight a whole team by myself even if I was a year older."

Ruby "Thats why we have teams though. Your battles are supposed to be my battles and vice versa. Teams are supposed to grow to be like family by the time we leave Beacon."

This gets a smile out of everyone in the room at her idea and her.

Yang "I am glad your still so idealistic, don't ever lose that sis."

Eternal Luffy

About half way through the first term everyone is back in combat class. Team CRDL is actually behaving better seem's their punishment worked.

Luffy "I have decided that today is a special day and as such you will all be competing for prizes again. The challenge this time is that of willpower. I will be using a power long forgotten to knock you all unconscious from here. The last one awake wins. It will be a battle of wills however much of mine I decide to excerpt vs all of yours. Prepare yourselves we begin shortly."

This gets the whole class talking battle of wills power long forgotten who is this guy what is he talking about. Then it begins and everyone gets deafly quite as they feel this force exerted on them. Some of them fall from this first wave some shrug it off most though most get a headache and feel like they where in a battle. Luffy then doubles the power this results in whole teams dropping out. After that wave Cardin is all that is standing from his team Yang has fallen out as has Nora the rest of their teams are still in though. Luffy doubles the power again this leaves only Weiss and Juanne. Needless to say not the two he thought would be left. He doubles again and they both fall.

After everyone wakes up he asks to see Weiss and Juanne after class and dismisses the rest.

Luffy "You two were the final two and you both fell in the same round. I must say I am surprised you both lasted as long as you did. Weiss I figured you had your will power stunted by your father and Juanne I didn't think you knew how to use yours. That said you two win I will pull out the prizes for you to pick from."

While they process what he just said he begins pulling things out. He grabs art and maps, he grabs sword and shield, he grabs a copy of his lifestory and lastly he grabs a necklace. Once all of this is set on the table he turns back towards them.

Weiss "what do you know of my father?"

Luffy "I have had the unfortunate experience of watching your father as he is at the center of several important people and events though never on the right side. As such I know how he raised you and Winter and what he did after Winter left."

Weiss is stunned "Who are you really?"

Luffy "I am a true immortal, I have been cursed with true immortality. I have been for several thousand years now simply a watcher of events but because of an event I have been forced on to the field. I am and always will be on the side of life and freedom. I was once the pirate king once an emperor a solider an avenger a monk. I have held many titles over my millennials. As far as who I am today, I am a man out to set the world right but I must wait for events to happen. That doesn't mean I can't help and I am. Any other questions should be asked as a team and in my office."

This has Juanne and Weiss stunned neither quite wrapping their head around what he just said. So they begin looking through the prizes to see what interested them. Juanne is drawn towards the shield Weiss can't decide on anything and is looking and grabbing holding and touching everything.

Luffy "That shield Juanne was given to me by a friend. He used it to do much good it became a symbol and a rallypoint for people around him. Like you he had his struggles but through force of will good luck and bravery he became far more than anyone ever would have imagined. He was loyal to a fault never one to start a fight but never giving up until he won. He inspired those around him to be better than they thought they could be."

Juanne "That isn't me I am a terrible leader and a worse fighter."

Luffy "before he got that shield so was he. It wasn't until he saw what leadership was and decided he could be more that he became more. He was always a good man after he got the shield he became a great man. The shield seems to elevate everything you are so good becomes great, smart becomes genius, but on the other side bad becomes evil, powerful becomes power hungry."

Juanne puts the shield down "I have to think. I don't believe thats me but perhaps I would like it to be."

Weiss having seen the dial and seen the change in Pyrrah with her gift doesn't doubt what Luffy is saying though she finds it hard to believe. She herself is finding herself drawn towards the necklace Luffy put out. It's nothing super fancy just a simple gold chain with a few silver fruit on it. Luffy sees this "That was the last piece of treasure my crew ever acquired. I had a feeling you would like it."

Weiss "What is with the fruit I don't recognize any of them?"

Luffy laughs at this "I am not surprised those fruit no longer exist. They are miniaturized versions of the fruits my crew and my family ate to give us super powers."

Weiss "Fruit gave you super powers?"

Luffy "Yeah back when I was born these fruit existed that if you ate them you got powers only you could not swim and you got very week in water."

Weiss "It is a very pretty necklace are you sure you could part with it?"

Luffy smiles "Thank you, yes the women it was made for is long dead and no one has worn it since nor has it been outside of the box in a long time."

Weiss "I am sorry to hear about her passing."

Luffy "I was once as well but now I am happy she has passed I would not wish my curse upon anyone else."

Weiss does take the necklace. Juanne keeps going back to the shield finally he picks it up "wow this is so much lighter than I would ever expected"

Luffy "yeah its made from a material called vibranium it takes impacts and displaces the energy along the full metal meaning it can take basically anything."

Juanne "If you are sure I can take the shield I will take it."

Luffy "I would not have offered it if you could not take it. Weiss please give this to Blake she might enjoy it." He hands her a copy of his story. "Now if you'll excuse me I have to head to Atlas for a meeting."

With that he dismissed them and put his stuff away. He proceeds to leave for Atlas; he has a meeting with Ironwood. He leaves for his meeting and because he figured out how to combine shave with second gear he can get basically anywhere very fast.

Once he arrives in Atlas he makes his way to Ironwoods office and waits for the man to arrive. Once Ironwood enters he is shocked to see Luffy at his desk he actually pulls his gun on him before seeing who it is and relaxing a bit.

Ironwood "What brings you here unannounced?"

Luffy "I am here to check on you just make sure your doing alright. Also I was wanting to talk to Winter at some point I have a test for her if she passes I have a unique gift for her. But with you I wanted to see if you figured out what I told you last time."

Ironwood "I am still confused by what you said Salem has always been my enemy and you have yet to deal with her. If you give me an explanation I can set a meeting with Winter."

Luffy "If I told you my deal wasn't designed for Salem but rather Ozpin would that clear some things up. I can't tell you everything but I can answer questions."

Ironwood "That actually makes sense. Many of the moves he has made especially recently have been about consolidating power at first I thought it was about taking down Salem but I am beginning to believe it's part of his after strategy. Am I correct?"

Luffy "Again I can't tell you everything because certain events have to happen but yes you are correct. As soon as he the fall maiden get attacked he knew the end game would be coming and so he is consolidating his forces to try and save himself. He believes because he is self important that I can't stop him from reincarnating. I can."

Ironwood "That makes so much sense. Thats why he wanted me to give him backdoors into Atlas defense systems. I didn't by the way. I have found over the last several years he has done more things to make me question his loyalty then he ever did when I was a student."

Luffy "He doesn't know I have Glynda Qrow and I believe I have Raven as well. When they both die and die they shall I will once again leave but I will be taking the relics with me. Ozpin was a fool to believe they could used by only himself."

Ironwood "You would leave once you have conquered everything? Why?"

Luffy "I do not make a great king. Part of what makes rulers great is that they die and change. I don't die and I don't change much anymore. I have ruled the world before and I won't do it again."

Ironwood sees the honestly in his statement and his face "Then Atlas stands with you. When would you like to have your meeting with Winter?"

Luffy "Thank you it will be needed. As soon as possible would be best."

Ironwood calls for Winter to come to his office ASAP he doesn't care what time it is it's important. After awhile Winter arrives looking more together than most of the soldiers but the experienced eye of Luffy and Ironwood can tell she was rushed.

Winter "You asked to see me Sir"

Ironwood "at ease Winter. This is Luffy he asked to see you. He has a gift for you if you pass his test. I don't know what his test is or why it has to be tonight but here we are. Also he knows everything."

Winter relaxes a touch at that statement "So Luffy what kind of test do you have and what kind of gift?"

Luffy smiles at her candor "You are much like your sister. Same fire I do like it. Because of that I will give you this gift without a test and another if you pass." He walks over and hands her a Silver chain with Gold fruit (opposite colors of the one Weiss took) "This is the twin to a necklace I gave your sister earlier today after she impressed me. I hope you do as well."

Winter takes it "I have never been one for jewelry unlike my sister but it is beautiful. My sister you teach her at Beacon? How is she doing? I don't talk to her as much as I should."

Luffy "She is doing well I will tell you all about her and what I see after the test pass or fail I promise. Now this test is rather simple, kill me."

Winter smiles "Why would I kill someone who has never harmed me or done anything worthy of death."

Luffy "Good answer. Know this though I have done many things that should have resulted in a death sentence and I will do more soon. Does this change your opinion?"

Winter "No it does not. I am not now nor will I ever be a murderer."

Luffy can tell the honesty in her words "Good you pass. Now as far as the gift I wish to give you tell no one where you received it or you will be hunted down for ever. When you are done with it I will come and either collect it or leave it as an heirloom to be passed down in the family line." With that said he pulled a box out and sets it on Ironwood's desk.

She walks over and open's the box inside she sees a massive sword. "How can anyone wield this it is far to strange."

Luffy walks over and lifts it with one hand. "This sword was given to me by a master swordsman, he was for a long time the greatest swordsman in the world. This sword changed the world once, it is time it did it again. The man who wielded this was named Dracukule Mihawk don't bother looking him up there are no records of him in your history. He was the last man to successfully sail the world alone. He used this sword and the techniques inclosed to sink fleets decimate armies and free the oppressed."

Winter grabs the sword from Luffy finding it far lighter than it should be. "What is this sword called?"

Luffy "Yoru"

Winter "Preety name. You said the instructions are inside? How do I carry this monster?"

Luffy smiles "You carry it on your back like a cross. The instructions are inside yes."
