Indeed the Warners believed that something was wrong with the doctor.
Ususally in these type of situations, even if it was good intentions, Dr. Scratchansniff would be quite upset at the trio for messing up his belongings, or making a mess.
However, he was strangly calm.
That's when the Warners started to get worry.
"Uh doc are you OK?" asked Yakko.
Dot placed her hand onto Dr. Scratchansniff's forehead and said, "He doesn't have a fever.
I hope you're not getting sick Scratchy."
Kidez, relax I'm fine," the doctor replied.
"Then how come you're not blowing a gasket over the messes we made?" asked Wakko.
"Because it vas such a dull day at the studio that see the chaos is actually quite refreshing.
I never realize just how quiet it is without you kidez there.
"So you missed us?" asked Dot.
"In a vay yes.
But you only have to stay here for one more day, then you can return to the studio.
And maybe you can move back into the water tower," Dr. Scratchandsniff replied.
Originally, Dr. Scratchansniff had planned on making stizel helper, however, since the Warners didn't get the item at the store,(which they apologize for but he forgave them as he knew that the trio would most likely not eat it,) he instead made hotdogs with chips, apple slices, and ice cream for afterwards.
As the four ate, Dr. Scratchansniff talked about his day, working on the lot.
"How was P.T.?
Bet we was glad we weren't there today?" asked Yakko, before he had some soda.
"Actually, he wasn't in the best of moods," replied Dr. Scratchansniff.
"How come?
Did another one of his movies bombed?" asked Dot, as she nibbled on a slice of apple.
"Did Disney passed his stocks again?" said Wakko, before he was to take a bite out of his concocution of ketchep covered chips on a hotdog, which he loved.
"No, the painters and the vindow vashers who were suppose to come today and clean your "masterpieces" never showed up.
They're overbooked for even longer," the doctor answered.
"So our artwork is still there?" asked Dot.
"Yes, and when the inspectors see it, they will most likely give a low score.
I can't imagne how angry Mr. Plotz must be."
The four of them finished their meal in silence.
After dinner, Dr. Scratchansniff asked the Warners if they like to watch a movie with him, which happened to be a documentary about making string cheese.
Yakko, Wakko and Dot declinded saying that they were kind of pooped from today's chores, and they were going to bed early.
The Warners however didn't go to bed, but talked.
After hearing what Dr. Scratchansniff told them at dinner about tomorrow's inspection, the trio felt guilty that their playfulness caused a huge amount of stress onto the studio, especially to Thadeas Plotz.
If he was angry now, it would most likely go up 100% maybe by the end of the next day.
Not to mention that it may even cause Dr. Scratchansniff his job, as it was his job to make sure the Warners stayed out of trouble.
And he failed.
"Sibs, I think we really did it this time," said Yakko, talking in a tone that Dr. Scratchansniff wouldn't hear him.
"Does this mean Scratchy might get fired?" asked Wakko.
"I'm not sure, but he could."
"I feel bad for Scratchy, and I also feel bad for Plotzy as well," Dot added.
"I wish there was something we can do to fix the problem."
"Same here."
Just then, Yakko snapped his fingers and said, "Wait a minute.
I think I have a plan that would make Plotz happy and save Scrtachy's job."
"What?" asked Wakko and Dot at once.
The three huddled as the eldest of the bunch told of the plan.
Just then, they heard the bedroom door knob turn.
Yakko, Wakko, and Dot quickly got under the blanket and pretended to be sleeping, as the door open, and Dr. Scratchansniff poked his head in to check on the Warners.
"I guess those chores really popped them out," said the Doctor, as he closed the door behind him, quietly, not wanting to wakeup the sleeping trio.
Later on that night, the door of Dr. Scratchansniff's bedroom opened quietly, and the three Warners silently walked out.
The trio passed Dr. Scratchansniff, who was fast asleep, along with snoring loudly and talking in his sleep.
"(Snore) I'd like to thank the heads of scince for this award," the doctor muddered.
Yakko, Wakko and Dot then squrited a bit of oil on the front door knob and it's hinges, so that no sound would wakeup their host from his slumber as they made their way outside.
Once they got outside, the middle Warner sibling opened up his bag of props and gags, reached inside and pulled out a bicyle built for the three.
The trio climbed on and began to pedel off into the night, with the stars in the sky and street lights guiding them.
After riding for sometime, the Warners reached their destenation, which was the studio.
"Do we have everything we need?" asked Dot.
Wakko once again went into his bag, this time pulling out wallpaper, paintcans, window washer, paint brushes, sponges, glue, and spray cans and replied, "Yep.
Got it all."
"Great.
Now then siblings, let's get to work," said Yakko, as he, his brother, and sister crept onto the studio, trying not to be seen.
The next morning, Dr. Scratchansniff got up from the couch, stretched out his back and went to check on his guests.
"Kidez, vake-up.
Vakey vakey, it's daytime," said the doctor, as knocked on the door.
There was no answer though.
Dr. Scratchansniff quietly opened the door, and saw that the Warners were still sound asleep.
The chores that the trio had done really tired them out.
"Rest up kidez," he said, closing the door behind him.
Later on in the evening, The Warners, who had gotten up in the early part of the afternoon, were hanging out in the living room.
Dot was reading a book, Wakko was playing with a toy airplane, and Yakko was trying to beat his own record on his paddleball.
It was at that moment when Dr. Scratchansniff walked into the house.
"Kidez I'm home," said the doctor.
The Warners looked up and called out," Hey Scratchy."
"How was work?" asked Dot.
"Did you have a good day?" said Wakko.
"Wasn't today that inspection? added Yakko.
"Yes it vas, and I'm glad you kidez are all here because I'd like a vord vith you," Dr. Scratchansniff replied.
Yakko, Wakko and Dot looked at each other.
"Uh-oh," all three Warners spoke at once.
It looks and sounds like they were in trouble.
