Deaths helper 12

Weiss begins her fight against the borbatusk and its quickly apparent to everyone that she is overwhelmed. She does her best but she is visibly flustered. It's clear she knows how to use her sword and is skilled with it but being the center of attention against a grimm that is designed to be good against her fighting style is making her flustered. Eventually she does defeat it and her team celebrate's though Weiss is not happy about that.

Port: "Bravo! Bra-vo! It appears we are indeed in the presence of a true Huntress-in-training!" "I'm afraid that's all the time we have for today. Be sure to cover the assigned readings, and... stay vigilant! Class dismissed!"

Weiss storms out of class to go get changed. Ruby tells her team to go ahead to the next class she will catch up later but she wants to talk to Weiss and try and see whats going on. Her team heads off and she waits by the training room for Weiss to come out. When Weiss comes out she is surprised to see Ruby there not used to anyone but her sister caring about her.

Ruby "Are you alright? It looked like you were having a hard time in class, not with the grimm but with everyone staring at you."

Weiss surprised by what she heard "No I am not alright everything has been falling apart since I got here. I was supposed to be on a team with the best led by me it's what is expected for a Schnee. Instead I am on a team led by the youngest student in Beacon who I am not sure should be leading a team then in class the one type of grimm that my style struggles the most with is the one I get in class it just seems like nothing is working for me."

Ruby "I know the feeling I wasn't supposed to be here, let alone leading a team. Honestly outside of my family I never really made any friends. I feel like everyone's eyes are on me the whole time wondering what this little girl did to get in here. I tell you what why don't we help each other out you help me with being grounded and I will help you with whatever you need help with."

Weiss smiles when she hears that "I understand that I have had eyes on me whole life always having people who want things because of my name. I know what you can do I saw it and it impressed me more than I would have admitted at the time. I believe I can agree to that. Lets hurry to class before everyone gets worried."

Deaths helper

Blake meets up with Zoro between classes. Zoro seeing they are alone walks over and gives her a big hug this surprises Blake.

Zoro "I have missed you so much. You had me worried for several years I have so much to tell you both about Menagerie and myself. That can wait though. You said you didn't want to tarnish your weapon when you left so I have been holding it for you hoping that you would come back and I could give it to you. You are now back so I return to you the weapon I gave you years ago. I say the same thing I did when I gave it to you at first. This is your life, it will protect you when no one else will. This is your soul as much as a semblance is. Use it well and it will always be there for you." With that he hands her her weapon back.

Later that day they all have combat class and this being co taught by Raven and Glynda Goodwitch. When they all arrive they are surprised to see a rankings board behind the arena currently empty but clearly filled out. Once everyone is seated Raven walks to the middle of the room and address the board behind them explaining that there are rankings on it based off everything before day 1 of classes. The expectation is that these rankings will be changing as the year goes along. They are then told they will be fighting the person under them so 1 fights 2, 3 fights 4 and so on. With that said the rankings are revealed and to many's surprise Zoro and not Pyrah is at the top though she is number 2.

The fights for today will be Zoro and Pyrah, Yang and Blake, Ruby and Vernal, Weiss and Neo, Juanne and Kuina and the rest don't matter. Zoro and Pyrah step foot in first as this is the fight everyone wants to see and if they tried to have multiple fights going while this one was going those fights would stop.

Zoro and Pyrah walk into the ring both already dressed for combat (for Zoro imagine his post time skip outfit). Zoro reaches down and after debating for a spell pulls out Enma and that is all after all very few have made him pull two let alone 3 blades out. Pyrah upon seeing this is confused but readies herself.

Pyrah "Are you going to take this fight seriously and pull out your weapons or are we going to play games."

Zoro puts Enma away and pulls out his knife much like Mihawk did to him years ago. "Hearing you boast I regret I do not have a blade any smaller with which to fight you but alas this will have to do."

Now Pyrah is pissed and the rest of the class can't help but be stunned at the utter disrespect shown to her by this Zoro guy. "Pull out your weapons I want your all!"

Zoro "Raven miss Goodwitch I am ready to begin."

The fight begins and Pyrah begins her attack only to be stopped with ease at every step by his little knife. Finally after one of her attacks he deflects and proceeds to stab right through her aura breaking it and stabbing her all at once. This obviously ends the fight. The whole class is stunned even his team by the ease with which he not only defeated Pyrah but by the shear gap in skill between them. Many of them begin questioning why a man like that is even here let alone if they could ever reach his level.

After everyone has regained their witts they are all paired off and begin their own fights. Juane drawing Kuina has a hard time defending against the master swordswoman but holds up better than she expected. Yang and Blake begin their fight and it becomes apparent that Yang is the better fighter but with the shadow clones Blake can make she is able to get in regular hits on Yang as Yang was never one to really train in defense. During the fight whenever Yang makes contact it takes a lot out of Blake where as when Blake would hit it would dent Yang's aura Blake was hitting more frequently. Finally Yang is getting frustrated so she decides she is going to end the fight and she hits Blake while activating her claws and this shoots Blakes aura into the red only to have Blake hit her once more and drop her aura to the red as well. Ruby and Vernal are next up and seeing as they have experience sparring each other its more of a dance than a spar with each landing hits as they see openings but due to Ruby's speed she gains the advantage eventually and ties Vernal up in her chain then spins her out of it and right into a horizontal swing from crescent rose. Neo and Weiss stand toe to toe and both being bladed weapons Neo with that umbrella she can't wait to ditch and Weiss with Myrtnaster begin their close quarters combat. Weiss being rigid in form is easily taken advantage of by Neo who is far more fluid in her style. Weiss is getting frustrated as she feels she is being made a fool in front of the class. Weiss reacts by trying to use her glyphs to gain an edge but when she goes in Neo uses her semblance and becomes a copy of Winter and this stops Weiss cold and she releases the glyph allowing for Neo to go in and get the winning strike after dropping the glamour.
