Viktor was still for a while.

Her breathing labored, her heart feeling like it was going to pop out of her chest. He was thinking too much, he knows. He urgently needs to catch his breath.

"Oh boss? Everything okay there?" Viktor blew out a breath of air and looked to his side where there was none other than Ekko. The young man placed a hand on Viktor's shoulder and held on tight, looking pretty worried.

Viktor waved his hand. "I...I'm fine...just...give me a moment, I..." He started coughing and felt some blood trickle from his nose. He took a deep breath, his eyes closing and trying to steady his mind. He counted to 10 before he looked at Ekko, who still didn't let go of his shoulder. " I am fine." He whispered.

"The blood running down your chin says otherwise." Ekko replied, looking into Viktor's face. "What's going on?"

Viktor looked away and let out a sigh.

"It's nothing." he wipes the blood away with the sleeve of his wrist. "I just need to get to river. Can you help me?" Viktor asks. He needs to get to Singed.

"Of course. Here." Ekko puts his arm over Viktor's shoulder and helps him walk down the stairs of Undercity Harbor.

"What's that on your leg? New fashion?"

"It's a Hextech boot, it's helping me walk." The Hextech boot is very useful and can support its weight without any problems, but considering the fact that it's almost a toothpick, it's no big deal.

He definitely needs to eat right.

"But it's not a permanent solution, is it?" Ekko asks. Viktor looks a little to the side.

"No. My leg is still not healed and I definitely still feel some pain. But it helps me a lot to walk." He replied, his gaze going to the end of Rio.

"Here is good, thanks for the help." Viktor says, pulling away from Ekko and leaning against the rock beside him for a moment.

Ekko looked skeptical as he looked at him. "Are you sure? If you want I can stay."

Viktor smiled but shook his head. "No, I'll be fine. Besides, you must have more interesting things to do."

Ekko raised an eyebrow. " Well, if you need to, you already know where to find me or who to turn to. " replied the boy, turning to leave.

"Ekko, remember what I asked." Viktor speaks and Ekko looks at him over his shoulder.

"I remember. If I find something or find the gem, I'll take it to you. Don't worry." He nods again and this time Viktor just watches him go.

He looked back to the end of river, where around the corner was the cave that led to his former mentor's laboratory. Singed. He needs a lot more help if he wants to work things out.

"Do you think the idea of this nucleus can help?" Viktor felt nervous as he looked at some of Singed's notes.

"Maybe if you try hard, I'm sure you'll find a solution." Singed was sitting in a chair across from a table next to Viktor.

He turned to the older man. "That's why I came here, and also...I need information."

" Continues ."

"Someone stole a Hextech gem, I need help figuring out who and how to get it back."

" That's not my business." Of course not. Viktor sighed.

"I figured not, but couldn't you at least know something?"

"What I know I can't share." Singed replied, his eyes a purple vial. Viktor knew what it was, but he didnt he commented.

"Okay, I understand. But isn't there anything else you can teach me to help me with this?" He pointed to the leg.

Singed looked at him for a moment. "Maybe, stay here or come visit regularly and maybe I can help with something." He got up. "I need to go out a bit, wait here. I'll be right back." The man left his place and Viktor let out a long sigh of weariness, both physical and mental.

He sat in a chair for a moment, just staring at his leg, lost in thought and ideas until he heard footsteps.

Viktor looked at the entrance to the place and was surprised to find a young girl there, she didn't look more than 18 years old. She had braided blue hair, matching eyes and pale fur, a rather plain outfit and what looked like pistols and a few more weird metal things in her tale.

"Where's the doctor?" she looks around curiously. " And who are you?" She asks, eyes narrowing.

She looked him right in the eye, looking both suspicious and menacing.

He stuttered. "N-no, I mean… more or less, I was born here." He replied, frozen with his back against the wall. The girl was mere inches from him and that alone made him feel claustrophobic, his cheeks heating up at the sudden proximity.

Her eyes were so blue and strong that Viktor couldn't help but admire them. They were beautiful, but there was something else there, some strange depth that only eyes that have seen a certain amount of pain can show. He recognizes it well. He looks in the mirror sometimes too and he has that same look.

Her eyes flicked back and forth across his face and then in the blink of an eye she took a step back and smiled happily. "Oh, sorry about that, you can't trust everyone these days. You know." She laughed, shaking her head.

Viktor opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out. He was confused, and maybe a little curious. She is quite a different person. " I understand. " he managed to say. "May I know your name?"

"It's Jinx." She stepped back and waved at him. "Nice to meet you Viktor, see you around."

"Wait, what's that on your belt?" Viktor asks, noticing what appears to be grenades but he could be wrong.

Jinx stops, a little confused and then looks down at her belt, realizing that you look and was directed at the thick metal things. "Oh that? It's a bomb. Cool huh?" She smiled.

"Eh... it seems to be quite ingenious." Viktor took a step back.

"Here, take a look." She throws the grenade at him like it's a harmless little ball.

Viktor fumbles to catch but manages to hold on, letting out a weak sigh of relief. She just threw a grenade without even thinking about it. Would she even care if it had exploded? Viktor shook his head. Probably not. Why is he surprised? He took a closer look at the grenade in her hand, his eyes narrowing in curiosity. It was a thick shape but it seemed to be well made. "It's a rough but intelligent shape. How did you make sure the gunpowder didn't explode at the slightest sign of movement?"

"Look inside."

He definitely shouldn't. He took out a small piece with one of her keys that she brought with him. Seeing some of the grenade inside. "Oh, you hooked up the thick wires to them. Smart. Just a tug on the lid and it would explode like a match close to gas." He also noticed that it wasn't gunpowder, but a strange bubbling liquid. This is very curious.

"Exactly!" she looked at him a little more. "Hmm... You're pretty smart, it's hard to find people from Undercity like that."

"I'm not the only one, apparently." He smiled at her, but then shifted his gaze to the grenade again. "You… don't use this too much, do you?" He asked, looking back at her.

Does…

"Oh, just when I want to blow something or someone up." She nodded with an oddly cheerful smile.

Viktor frowned, a little reluctantly.

"Oh…" He blinked. "But you don't mind if it hurts innocent people in the middle of it? It looks like the grenade reaches the surrounding area quite a bit, at least that's what I'm seeing."

She also frowned, looking genuinely confused. "Why would I care? Most of the people I throw grenades to don't give a shit about people like us."

Viktor looks at her a little in disbelief. "Well, I don't know what kind of people you throw grenades but… there are a lot of people who have families too, you know."

"And ? They're usually from Piltover. What does it matter?" Viktor's eyes widened a little. Wouldn't she be the one… no, it couldn't be… was she the one who dropped a bomb and killed 6 enforcers?

"Don't you… wait, were you responsible for that bomb on progress day?"

"Oh that? It was quite a light show, wasnt it?" She didnt answer his question exactly, But was that an assertion? or just a comment?

He narrowed his eyes and opened his mouth to respond when footsteps appeared and they both looked towards the entrance.

From there, walking side by side, were Singed and a man whose eye had a large, dark scar on his face.
