"If this is going to look like Yona dear is engaged to the king like during the tournament then I'm out." Jae-ha huffed, clearly pouting in the corner when Kye-sook came to the princess with his request. "You really expect her to be fine with being engaged to her father's murderer?"

Yona was a bit glad the Green Dragon spoke up, it had been on her mind. While at one time she would have been thrilled to be engaged to Soo-won this was never how she wanted it, and now she really couldn't. "Honestly I can't see how who I'm married to effect morale of the troops."

"Many people have been wondering when his majesty will marry and an heir to the kingdom would come about, so either him showing interest or even yourself being the original heir would give hope there is a next generation to the kingdom." Kye-sook pointed out. "Besides, many people were under the impression you were dead, hearing you are safe it is the duty of the royal family to keep its line going… And you already know why Lord Soo-won does not wish to continue his line."

"All the more reason my being engaged to him makes no sense, granted the people do not know but we cannot hide his illness forever." Yona shook her head. "I am well aware that I am of age to be finding a suitable husband, my father spoke of much not long before his death…" she frowned recalling that conversation with her father, where she kept insisting she wanted Soo-won. "Besides it would get out eventually the marriage is fake and questions would happen why I don't have Soo-won's heirs. That could backfire."

"What if the miss were to marry one of the dragons?" Zeno then spoke up, making everyone just stare at the Ouryuu. Zeno shrugged. "What? The dragons are basically as noble of blood as the royals and it would boost to the soldiers that the miss could bare the children of the next generation of dragon of choice that way. That the miss here proves further the loyalty of the dragons so that the soldiers realize Kouka truly does wield the power of gods by their side."

Kye-sook took a moment to consider this. "… It is not a bad idea, very well. It doesn't really matter which dragon you marry so that can be your choice."

"So… You seriously want us to have a wedding on the battlefield?" Yona was still trying to process what Zeno said when Kye-sook agreed, her eyes straying to Jae-ha and her heart fluttered. The fact that she had just recently confessed to the Ryokuryuu when he visited her made it a little easier but still she wasn't sure if he would…

"Well then I suppose you wouldn't mind if I volunteer, Yona dear?" Jae-ha hummed, wrapping an arm around her. "Kija-kun would probably faint at the idea and Shin-ah isn't one for much in words to keep up the appearance. And while it was Zeno's idea I doubt he wants to do it."

"Nice save Ryokuryuu." Zeno rolled his eyes, Jae-ha and Yona had informed the group of their confession so they were aware the princess and green dragon had feelings for each other. That and Hak called Yona out on it several weeks ago.

Kija turned bright red just imagining Yona in a wedding dress. "Ah… W-well it's just for the troops so I suppose Jae-ha can behave himself enough for a ceremony?"

Jae-ha smirked. "Well it will be a tragic loss for the ladies of the world, but I'll make the sacrifice for our lovely princess." He took Yona's hand to plant a kiss on her fingers. "She can return my freedom later if she so wishes." He winked at her to play along, might be for the best to not let the advisor know that they might… Consider the wedding for real.

Yona nodded, her heart in her throat as she was still nervous just even thinking if Jae-ha would marry her and that wink made her blush madly. "… Ah… O-of course. After all we're only here to help for the alliance. So they might never find out later on or the war could be well over by then."

"Very well then, I will make the arrangements." Kye-sook bowed, heading out of the room.

Jae-ha waited for the advisor to be out of earshot before chuckling and shaking his head. "That was quite the bold suggestion there, Zeno." He hummed.

"Ryokuryuu looked so jealous he practically was giving it away why he protested it." Zeno shrugged. "You were pouting."

"I was not." Jae-ha shrugged, getting defensive. "I just disliked the idea of Yona dear being forced to marry. Granted this robs me the chance of proposing to her…"

Yona choked at that, turning red again. "J-Jae-ha really y-you don't have to. I-I know how you are about your freedom we don't have to really-" he blinked when he leaned in to kiss her lips briefly.

"… My place is by your side, Yona darling. I already told you that." He purred, pulling her close. "While I'm hardly the fit the be the husband of a princess, I could always be your pet dragon." He hummed at that. "I know how important this is for you, how you want to help the people of Kouka and inspire the soldiers. It's the only reason you're listening to this advisor though him butting in on your love life just rubs me the wrong way. Now if you're not interested in having a beautiful monster as your husband I can't blame you-" he was cut off as Yona yanked him down by his ponytail for a passionate smooch.

"… I love you." Yona said seriously as their lips parted. "You're the one I want by my side always. This is my choice here and now I'm making and it's to be with you. Just because that aligns with what is being asked of me happens to benefit us."

"As long as we're together by choice for this wedding, that's what matters." Jae-ha hummed at that, loving that determined look in her eyes. "I love you too, princess of my heart."
