Prologue: Kylo's Mission
Entering the dark chambers, Kylo Ren has returned from his successful turn to the dark side effectively wiping out the Jedi Order from Ach-To. "I have done it my master. Luke Skywalker is no more, the jedi is no more."
"Rise my apprentice, your mission is not yet completed. I can still sense your conflict inside, and this is costing you your loyalty to me." Snoke replied.
"Never my Master, I will do what I must to prove my rightful place by your side. I will sacrifice everything to show my loyalty to the First Order."
"If that be so, then I order you to sell your mother to Jabba the Hutt." Snoke said as he stared down his conflicted apprentice.
"Jabba the Hutt? but he died years ago." Kylo refuted
"On the contrary, there are just ways to escape death." Snoke replied with a slight grin on his face. "Am I sensing hesitation from you Ben Solo?"
"No, no Master. Ben Solo is dead, there is only Kylo Ren now, but why sell her when it would be easier to dispose her as dead? Does the Hutt clan have some blackmail against you because I can just go and kill them to." Kylo said as he tried to save himself the shame and awkwardness of the situation.
"I have spoken my command. It is easy for us to kill anyone that may get in our way, but for you killing Leia will only physically separate her from you. That sweat running down your cheek, it is shame and a sign that young Solo still lives inside you. By returning your mother to her rightful owner, only then will you sense her force and emotional connection to you be broken." Snoke said as he gestured his hand pointing Kylo to the door. He has spoken enough now and tests his new apprentice's loyalty to him.
Kylo Ren walked out of the room with a cold sweat and deeply panting under his mask. He was not overwhelmed by the mission, knowing that his father has left Leia years ago, it was rather easy for him to intercept her place and kidnap her. Boarding his ship, Kylo felt his heartbeat more overwhelmed by the situation. "I am Ben Solo no more, I have no mother nor father, and all I have is the First Order." He mumbled to himself as the conflicted Kylo flew to Coruscant and retrieve the package.
Walking in the palace, he was greeted by the guards as Ben Solo and found his mother crying after feeling in the force too the tragedy of Ach-To having no other information as to who was the mysterious killer but knew that her brother was gone. She was overwhelmed to see his son survive hugging him close and tight, further making Ben panic inside as he tried to find the strength to deliver her tonight.
"I'm so glad your safe Ben, I felt it. I felt it all fall and still couldn't believe it so thank force you're safe. You're the only family I have left." Leia said as he held his son's cheek and seeing a tear from his eye.
"I'm so sorry mom. I.. I tried to fight it but he was too strong." Ben replied.
"Who? Who killed Luke and the other jedi." Leia asked as he tried to comfort his son also feeling the conflict inside of him. "Kylo Ren killed him, and I know he's coming for you next."
"Thank force you're here. I feel a lot safer knowing you'll be protecting me."
Ben's heart broke knowing now that Snoke felt his strong connection to her, but clenching his fists he knew that his mother would be an obstacle to his true destiny if he doesn't complete his mission now. "I'm glad to be here but I don't think it's going to be safer any longer. I know its late but I know somewhere that you can be safe from being killed. I know its late but you can rest in my ship, I'll make sure you're safe until we arrived." Ben said with a struggle in his voice trying to be vague as possible avoiding to mention Jabba but also avoiding to lie to her as this may be the last he'll ever see her. Leia giving her son the benefit of the doubt boarded his ship and they jumped into hyperspace, looking back at the sleeping Leia. Kylo grabbed his lightsaber contemplating of ending it killing her here now and save him the reaction of watching her mother struggle in Jabba's palace. But as his finger neared the button to activate his weapon, a flashback of Luke appeared in front of him and knew that he was nothing like his flawed Jedi mentor. Throwinng it down, he gave his mother one last kiss on her forehead whispering "Im sorry." and covered Leia's head with a burlap and restrained her hands and legs.
