Hello everyone, sorry for the lack of updates on either of my stories. I haven't been feeling the best physically or mentally over the past month or so, and I've been spending time with family to alleviate some stress. I hope you all will stick with me while I sort out stuff on my end. Now, that's enough of the heavy stuff, I hope you all enjoy the chapter!

That's right, he himself needed to create a need. He had always taken other things and strengthened them. Whether it be with his magic, or the dream of his late father. He had never created something himself. And right now, what he needed to create… was a miracle. What he needed to do… is protect Saber!"

Chapter 13

He was back. The place he came to in his dreams, a land of nothing but weapons. Gears hovering in the sky above.

"Saber!" He called out.

His voice, echoing throughout the wasteland. No one responded.

He was alone.

Just then, his body shuddered. Something inside his being was stirring. And in the distance, he could feel an energy that felt oddly familiar. It was calling to him. Soon after, he began his trek towards the mysterious energy calling out to him. He walked past a seemingly unlimited amount of blades. Some of which he could recognize.

The blood red spear that had pierced his heart was stabbed into the ground at an angle, a spear of similar making next to it, making an x. The katana Assassin was using was also there, stabbed straight into the ground. And oddly enough, the same shinai Taiga used was also in here. He decided to not think about that one just yet.

He also took notice of a few others that caught his eye. What looked like a huge stone slab was to his right. 'How is that a weapon?'. And as he got closer to what looked like a central point of this wasteland, a singular hill with swords lined all the way to the top, he noticed a set of twin blades just in front of it.

They were in the same position as the two red spears he passed by earlier, but these felt different. They felt familiar, almost as familiar as the energy that he was searching for. They were in the colors of the Yin and Yang. One with a hexagonal pattern, and the other with a clean white slate.

"Why do you feel so familiar to me?" Unlike with the other weapons he passed by, he walked up to them, picked up the dual blades, and held them firmly in his hands. As soon as he did, he felt a wave of information rush into his brain, causing what felt like a migraine.

The dual blades had told him their names. They were the married blades, Kanshou and Bakuya. Forged with the dedication of a skilled swordsmith, and the love and sacrifice of a loving wife.

He immediately dropped them and put his hands to his head, trying his best to ease the headache he had just gotten.

"What the hell was that?! Argh! I should just keep moving forward. I need to find out what this other energy is."

He kept on towards the energy, finding himself at the base of the hill he saw earlier. He looked up to the peak.

"So, you're up there, huh?"

He made his way up, finding a singular sword at the top of the hill.

The sword was lodged into a small stone. And it was, to say the least, magnificent. It shone a golden radiance unlike any sword he'd ever seen before. It had a beautiful blue and gold hilt, with what looked like small gems engraved into it. He noticed that there seemed to be writing engraved onto the blade itself, right where it meets the hilt. It stated, 'Whoso pulleth out this sword of this stone is the rightwise king of all England'.

"No way… There's no way this is…" His body moved on its own, and subconsciously reached out to grab it. As his hand grabbed the hilt, it shone a brilliant golden light. And all at once, it seemed like every blade in this world began to vibrate. The whole world began to shudder, as if it was coming to life. He looked back to the now drawn sword in his hand, still emanating a strong aura. He knew what it was telling him, and he would not fail.

Saber was on the back pedal. Having told her master to stay out of the fight for his own safety, but what happened next was beyond her wildest dreams. Her master had attacked Assassin, sufficiently launching him into the underbrush next to the staircase. But that wasn't her main concern. It was what he had attacked him with.

The Holy Sword Caliburn. The sword in the stone that she had pulled in order to become the King of Britain, and it was now in her master's hands.

She needed an answer. "Shirou! Where did you get that?!"

"I- I might be able to explain later. But for now, we need to focus on beating Assassin."

"Quite an interesting sword you have there. The energy it's emanating is wonderful." Assassin said, coming out from the bushes. His clothes now had rips and tears in them, and had a few cuts and bruises lining his body. "Boy, would you give me the honor of knowing your name? You are the first to injure me in such a way."

"Emiya. Shirou Emiya."

"A wonderful name. I will announce myself again. I am Sasaki Kojirou, of the Assassin class. It is an honor."

"Likewise." Saber responded.

Without missing a beat, Sasaki lunged at the duo. The real fight started now.

The light finally dimmed, the world was at a standstill, and Caster felt what she could only describe as fear.

"You know Caster, it's very rare that I don't like someone. But you've managed to become one of those people.

"I- ACK!"

Before she could even process it, Goku had moved and punched her right in the gut. She was sent flying through one of the temple walls, blood dripping from her mouth.

She was already struggling to get up.

"How… How can a Lancer fight with such strength? I knew he was abnormal, but this was beyond my expectations."

"Why are you taking the life energy of the townspeople, Caster?" Goku asked, walking through the massive hole Caster made on her way in.

"I'm afraid… I don't understand the question."

"Surely there must be another way? You don't have to take the lives of innocent people."

"Ahh… That's what this is about. I'm simply gathering more mana. Why should I care about where I get it from? All I see is a town full of energy for me to collect."

Goku got into his stance. "Then we're done talking."

"Agreed." A mysterious voice sounded.

"What-"

Thankfully, Goku had just gotten into his stance when he noticed the attack coming his way. Quickly doing a backflip to dodge and make space.

"So, you must be Caster's master?"

"You would be correct."

The man was wearing a dark green suit and a pair of glasses. He wore an expressionless face, and his physique was rather slim compared to Goku's.

"I suggest you move aside. I don't want to hurt anyone else in this fight."

"I guess that's too bad."

The mysterious man once again lunged at Goku. He appeared to be quite skilled in hand to hand combat, and would have actually given Goku a run for his money if he wasn't transformed. But that's just it, Goku was transformed. And as such, he was simply dodging and weaving every punch or kick the man tried.

"I must admit, you are incredibly skilled. You'd probably give Saber a good fight if you caught her off guard. As unlikely as that is. But again, I don't intend on doing you any harm, unless you leave me no other option."

He got a response in the form of a failed kick to the gut.

"-Sigh- Looks like we'll have to do things the hard way."

Goku flew under another punch and landed a very solid uppercut, making contact with the man's lower jaw. The man promptly flew into the air and landed next to Caster with a thud, unconscious.

"Souichirou!" Caster cried out, holding him in her arms.

"Don't worry, he'll be ok. I only used enough strength to knock him out."

"How dare you-"

[Bam!]

Caster was sent flying out of the building and towards the set of stairs coming up to the temple grounds.

"Although I might not have a choice here in a moment."

Saber was glad to have Shirou by her side. Even if he still wasn't properly trained in swordsmanship, his presence seemed to alleviate her worries. He also had another added benefit, even if he himself wasn't the strongest, the sword in his hands was. To a degree, it was shown to overpower Assassin, causing Assassin to be more cautious. This fact kept Assassin on the backfoot, making sure to dodge the boy's more unpredictable swings while trying to counter or parry Saber's more polished style of attack.

It didn't help very much when Caster came barreling down the stairs, causing a brief pause in all combat.

"Hm? What is your business here, master?" Sasaki asked, standing over his apparent master's body.

"Don't… say a word." It was clear as day that she was getting her ass handed to her.

"Sorry for interrupting your fight, Shirou, Saber." They all looked to the top of the steps to see Goku walking down.

Goku looked at everyone before stopping on Shirou. "Hm? I see you've found the need I mentioned, Shirou. Good, now that you've found it, keep that need very close to your heart. And never let it go."

"R-Right! Thank you, Goku!" Shirou replied with a bow.

Goku nodded, and swiftly turned back to Caster and Assassin.

"It's the end of the road for you two. This will be your final warning, surrender now. If you do, I can help you."

Caster was trying her best to get up off the floor, without Sasaki's help. "Why would I ever accept help from you?"

"-Sigh- Very well. Then I won't stop what's coming."

"What?"

[BOOM!]

Where Caster and Assassin had once stood, there was now a crater spanning the width of the walkway. The two servant's nowhere to be seen as motes light traveled upwards into the sky.

Saber and Shirou both had a look of surprise plastered on their faces, while Goku's was more calm, like he already saw this coming.

"You still can't find it in you to kill, can you Kakarot?"

Everyone looked to the sky to see Vegeta floating down to their level.

"Tch, you never change do you?"

"Aw, you know me so well."

"Shut up." Vegeta looked around, and noticed that only Saber and her master were the ones nearby. He scoffed.

"I was hoping more servants would come when you output that much ki. I'd like them all to see me kick your ass first hand. That way they know who the strongest really is."

"You think you are the strongest? Truly, you Mongrel's never cease to amuse me."

Everyone looked up to the top of the stairs. There, a man stood. His hair was down, the color of gold, and crimson red eyes. A white t-shirt and a black coat over it, finished off with black pants and a pair of black shoes. Everyone could tell that just with his glare alone, he was looking down on them. Both figuratively, and literally.

"I think I'm the strongest? Please, don't make me laugh." Vegeta began to float up to the man, getting right up close to his face. Both had sneers on their faces. "I know I'm the strongest." Vegeta pointed his thumb towards himself, a big grin appearing in his face.

"Know your place, Mongrel. You're talking to-"

"Mongrel? Hah! Do you even know the meaning of the word? Because I can assure you…" Vegeta's energy suddenly spiked, his hair rapidly changing from black to blonde, "… I am no Mongrel." A flash of blinding yellow light sprung forth from Vegeta's form. And once it dimmed, everyone could see it. His hair was the same color as Goku's, his energy had increased like Goku's. But they quickly noticed something very unlike Goku, he had grown incredibly egotistical. "You think you can step up to the Prince of all Saiyans? Please, the most you could do is wipe the dirt off my shoes."

Saber and Shirou were shocked, although both for different reasons.

"Since when could he do that?"

Saber on the other hand, "Omg, there's two of them."

The two looked over at Goku, who had a big grin on his face. They had gotten to know him better when he came by to give Shirou lessons on martial arts. And if they learned anything, it's that Goku loves a good fight.

"What did you just say?!"

They looked back to see the man seething with anger.

"Oh, are you deaf too?"

Everyone could hear the sound of something snap. Even Goku started to move in front of the two, as they still had wounds from fighting Assassin, and would no doubt need some type of cover if things went south. And it was a good thing he did, because the second he got in front of them, multiple golden portals began appearing behind the man.

"Nimbus!" Goku called out. A small yellow cloud could be seen traveling downward towards them.

"I'm going to teach you a lesson that you will NEVER forget!" The man cried out.

Goku looked back to the man in front of Vegeta, who was clearly moments from unleashing hell on anyone in front of him. Quickly, he picked up both Shirou and Saber and put them on Nimbus. "Nimbus, take them back to Shirou's place, hurry!"

Shirou tried voicing his complaints, "Wait, Goku-!"

Too late, Nimbus was off like a rocket.

Suddenly, weapons of all kinds began popping out of the portals. And all at once, they shot towards Vegeta. Instinctively, he moved to dodge, but underestimated just how fast the projectiles were. Although most of them missed, a couple managed to get clean slices on his body.

The last thing both Saber and Shirou saw was Goku blocking stray shots from hitting them as they made their way back to the Emiya residence.

Goku looked on at the fading outline of his student and his servant. Sighing, he looked back to see Vegeta and the other man staring daggers at each other, "How am I going to deal with this?"

"Dammit!" Shirou punched Nimbus, thankfully it couldn't feel any pain.

Saber on the other hand was too caught up in her musings to notice her master's outburst. "Archer showing up isn't a very good sign. And I'll have to thank Goku later, we were too spent after our fight with Assassin to do much."

Finally looking up, Saber took note of just how high they were.

"Shirou, look."

"Huh? Woah!"

Nimbus had taken them slightly over the clouds. And from up here, the two could see, well, everything.

"Saber, look! You can see so much from up here. There's my school, the local shops, even the ocean!"

"The ocean?"

"Yeah, have you ever been to the ocean before? I know Britain is surrounded by water, so you've probably seen it right?"

"No, actually. The ocean was something I was always weary of. It's where all our enemies came from afterall."

"Oh, sorry if I brought up bad memories. I guess I never really thought about it before. I guess that makes it easier."

"Hm? Makes what easier, Shirou?"

"Well, since Goku technically lent us Nimbus, why not go somewhere? And what better place than the ocean? I'll show you it isn't just some place where bad guys show up from."

"Are you sure about this Shirou? Won't Taiga and Sakura be worried if we aren't there when they wake up?"

"That just means we have to get back before then, right?"

"Hm… I don't see any harm in doing so."

"Alright then. Nimbus, to the beach!"
