Damion and Uni walked into the Basilicom and went to the elevator.
"So," Damion said. "What are we doing today?"
"First, I'm going to do some paperwork while you run some paperwork to different places," Uni said.
"Aww, I was hoping to spend some time with the mini tsun-tsun," Damion said.
"W-what do you mean by 'mini tsun-tsun'?" Uni demanded.
"Well, Vert always said that Noir was a tsundere and you act just like one too and since you're her younger sister, mini tsun-tsun," he said, shrugging.
"Sh-shut up, i-idiot," Uni said, running off to her office.
Chapter Two: A Week With the Tsundere
"So, now that you had the fastest person you know deliver all of the paperwork you needed to do today, what's next?" Damion asked.
"Ugh, I honestly hoped that you would take longer," Uni sighed. "Now, we do some field work."
"To the guild!"
"What do you mean?" Uni asked.
"Don't you have to go to the guild to be able to go into dungeons?"
"Normally yes, but we are CPU Candidates, we don't have to," Uni said.
"Oh, I forgot, when I went with Vert we didn't go to the guild. When I was on my own I had to as to not draw suspicion to me," Damion said.
"Oh, yeah no one would know that you can be there, well you are with me so we don't have to worry about it. We can keep your secret identity," Uni joked.
"I just wish I didn't have to, but Vert said to make sure that I wasn't known before she left. I just want to know why she didn't want anyone to know about me, was I an embarrassment to her?"
"Well, we can demand answers when we get our sisters back," Uni said, standing up from her chair and stretching.
"Well, I'll follow your lead, Lady Black Sister," Damion said, with a shit eating grin.
"Sh-shut up," Uni said, walking out.
The two went out to a small field and were going to find a Fenrir.
"So, what was it like, to be seen with a CPU and recognized as their sibling?" Damion asked.
"Well, it's not really the greatest, everyone wants to please you because they think that it will make the CPU help their business more than others. But, when I was just by myself people were still nice even though Noir wasn't there," Uni said, carrying her gun.
"I just hope we can get our sisters back soon."
"Same," Uni said.
"Hey Uni, you're a good friend. I know we haven't known each other for long but I really like hanging out with you. You're my first friend my age," Damion said.
"Well, I like hanging out with you too, just not when you are being a jerk," Uni huffed.
"Sorry, I'll try to stop. Hey Uni, that's a Fenrir right?"
"Yep, let's go," Uni said, transforming.
"Why so serious?" Damion asked, also transforming.
"I got this!" Uni said, shooting the wolf.
"Rawr!" the Fenrir growled, attacking Uni and knocking her down and out of HDD.
"UNI! Raging River!" Damion yelled, sending a thin stream from his trident and stabbing through the Fenrir's heart killing it. "Healing Wave," he said, detransforming and sending a small flow of water over her. He waited but she wasn't breathing. "Shit, forgive me," he said, giving her mouth to mouth and trying to bring her back to life. After a few moments she started coughing and he backed up.
"Why the hell were you kissing me?" Uni asked.
"You were gone. I used my powers to jumpstart yours while also reviving you. Sorry, I promise I didn't do anything else," he said.
"R-really? You saved me?" Uni asked, blushing.
"Of course, can't let any of us die now can we?" Damion asked.
"Y-yeah. M-my shares are oddly low. We just boosted them though," Uni said.
"I agree that this is weird. Let's get back and we can figure this out," Damion said.
The two went back to the Basilicom with Damion holding Uni.
"Uni, what happened, and who is this?" Kei asked.
"We were out hunting a Fenrir and one attack knocked her down. I revived her," Damion said.
"Uni?"
"Yeah, he's telling the truth Kei. Kei, meet Damion, CPU candidate of Leanbox," Uni said, going to a couch.
"Oh, wow, um, well it's nice to meet you," Kei said.
"You too," Damion said. "Something's wrong with her shares I believe."
"I'm looking at our shares and they have dropped significantly, same with Lowee. I can't see any reason why though," Kei said.
"Hmm, I'll go find out," Damion said, getting up.
"Lady Uni!" a soldier said, running in. "A large robotic creature is requesting to fight you."
"I'd bet that's the reason. I'm going to go fight it," Damion said, walking towards the doors.
"Damion, this is my fight," Uni said.
"Look at you. No offence but you won't be able to beat anything in this shape," Damion said.
"Tell this being that I will require a day or two for my wounds to heal. Damion, during this time can you get me some shares?" Uni asked, as the soldier ran off.
"Alright, I'll go to the guild and get you some shares. I will go with you when you fight him though," Damion said.
"No, I need to go alone."
"Uni, I can't lose you again. You almost died, I had to bring you back. Uni, y-you're the first person who isn't family that didn't just write me off as a creep because of my HDD's personality," Damion said, tears in his eyes.
"What about Cave or 5pb?" Uni asked.
"They are family to me."
"Well, Nepgear probably doesn't think that," Uni started.
"Did you notice how after I changed back she just stayed away from me and didn't ask if I was alright and talked to the mascot? She's too nice to say anything, but after talking to me she eventually realised that I wasn't a creep but it was just my personality being turned to the extreme."
"See, she doesn't," Uni said.
"Still, you didn't take any time. You sat next to me and just talked as if I was a normal person."
"Damion, this is something I need to do by myself. I'll be good, alright?"
"Fine. If anything happens I will be looking for you so don't do anything too rash. If you can't win, run," Damion said, walking out and going to the guild to get as many quests as he could.
"Lady Uni, are you sure you trust this boy?" Kei asked.
"Yes, I do. He saved me so I kinda have to," Uni said. Also I like him. Wait, what did I just think?
"Uni, everything alright?" Kei asked.
"Huh? Oh, yeah, just thinking about this person and how to fight them," Uni lied.
With Damion-
"Alright, that's twenty quests in the same area. This should raise Lastation's Shares up enough for Uni to fight at almost full power," Damion said to himself.
Damion then went out and spent the next day and a half just out fighting monsters and completing quests that raised Lastation's Shares.
"Kei, tell Uni that I got your Shares up as much as I can," Damion said, walking into the Basilicom.
"Um, Uni left this morning. Said she was in perfect condition to fight," Kei said. "You however are in no condition to even do paperwork. Go rest in the guest room."
"Alright, tell me when she gets back," Damion said, walking to the room he had been staying at.
He went to sleep but was woken when he heard a loud noise. Damion got up and went to see Nepgear along with the twins, IF, Compa, and Red.
"Damion, where's Uni?" Nepgear asked.
"She went to fight a person this morning," Damion sighed.
"Actually that was a day ago," Kei said, looking up from her desk.
"Wait, what?! Follow me, she told me where she was going," Damion said, checking for his weapon and making sure it was firmly secured to his back.
Damion ran in a way that let the others keep up with him. When he got to where Uni said she was he started looking around and eventually they started helping him look. They fought some monsters but eventually Nepgear found Uni.
"Damion! I found Uni!" she called out.
"Crap, she's almost dead. Everyone stand back," Damion commanded.
"Damion, she needs medical attention," Compa said, trying to help.
"She needs more than that," Damion said, focusing on his shares and letting them flow through his body to his hands. "Save Point: Revive," he said, letting his energy flow through Uni. Everyone watched as Uni's cuts started closing and her complexion looked a lot better.
"I've seen healing powers, but nothing like that. What did you do?" IF asked.
"It's part of what makes me special, different from the other CPUs and it isn't just my gender. I can give my shares to another CPU for a very limited amount of time. I can force the shares to do something specific, I call these abilities Save Points," Damion explained. "The weird part is that they don't have to be a CPU, I can use it on anyone."
"Historie might know more about it," Red said.
"Yeah, Chika and Vert had no clue about it. Uni will be out for about half a day and I am in need of food," Damion said, his stomach punctuating his statement.
Damion then picked Uni up and led the rest of them back to the Lastation Basilicom. He took Uni to her room and placed her on her bed and covered her up. He joined the rest downstairs, grabbing a breakfast burrito from the fridge.
"So, you can temporarily transfer shares to anyone?" Nepgear asked.
"Well, yes, but that's Save Point. I have a second version called Hard Core. Hard Core let's me borrow shares from CPUs. I can use this to make my opponents weaker, however extended usage causes me to start to bleed and get hurt."
"Why don't you use it often?" IF asked.
"Easy, it only works against those with shares. I haven't actually fought anyone who uses shares except Vert and that was only training. The former I use to heal primarily," Damion said.
"So, they are similar to our spells?" Rom asked.
"No silly, our spells are way better," Ram said.
"And more versatile. The most I can do is give a small boost to strength, speed, or stamina. Healing is different because the rest affects stats where this affects the body as a whole, I can use healing only a limited amount of times and only so much. Right now Uni will need a bit of medical attention but she is stable and won't die. This took a lot of energy," Damion explained.
"Is that why my share energy feels weird?" Uni asked, leaning on the door frame.
"Uni!" Damion yelled, putting his arm around her and leading her to the table. "What happened?"
"I-I-I," Uni started, tearing up. "I w-wasn't s-strong enough," she said, letting the flood gates open.
"Uni, guys give us a moment," Damion said, kneeling in front of the broken girl.
"O-oh, yes," Nepgear said, leading everyone out.
"Uni, what's this truly about?"
"I'm not strong enough. I wasn't strong enough to go help Noire before and now I'm not strong enough to save her. I'm never strong enough," she cried.
"Uni," Damion said, pulling her into a hug. "You're right, you aren't strong enough. The thing is none of us are strong enough. Nepgear told me that she had to go help the twins and alone they couldn't beat this person, but together they could. So we aren't strong enough alone, but if we work together we can do anything, so you are going to heal up then we are going to beat this person together," Damion said.
"No, you don't get it. If I'm not strong enough to do this then I'm not good enough to get Noire's attention for anything non work related. At least your sister would spend time with you!" Uni yelled, breaking away from him, transforming, and flying off.
"Damn it Uni," Damion cursed under his breath, chasing after her in HDD form.
"Can't you just leave me alone!" Uni yelled, as Damion walked up to her crying.
"Now, I can't leave a beautiful lady like you here crying now can I?"
"You're only calling me beautiful because of your transformation. I already know that I'm just plain and unattractive, don't lie to me," Uni said.
"Let's both change back then, see if I can change your mind then," Damion suggested.
"Alright," Uni said, changing back with Damion following suit. "So, what now?"
"Uni, look at me," Damion said. "You are beautiful, you're smart, strong, and one of the best people I have ever met. If Noire doesn't pay attention to you then that's her loss, but I'll always be there for you. So don't think that you have to take everything on by yourself, you can always lean on me, be it physically, mentaly, or emotionally. I will be here to help you and while we haven't known each other all that long I love you. I love that you will fight your own battles, that you're headstrong and won't back down, that you want to save your sister not to have her do the work but because you want her back. What I'm trying to say is that you should never feel down no matter what."
He stood there waiting for her to react or do something. She then flung herself at him and kissed him. After a moment she pulled away, and looked away.
"S-sorry, I-I was just c-caught in the m-moment," Uni said, looking away.
"Uni, you know you shouldn't lie to yourself. It's why you have such bad self esteem. Uni, let yourself be happy. I was in the forest for a year and was only unhappy. As soon as I let myself be happy I found myself getting better, both mentaly and physically. Maybe if you let yourself be happy you will be strong enough to beat this guy up and get our sisters back," Damion said.
"Let myself be happy?" Uni asked. "You're right, I haven't let myself be happy because I thought that if I looked happy then Noire would never notice me. But she can't notice me if I can't help her. Happiness can make me better, and being around you makes me happy," Uni said, looking at him and smiling.
"You make me happy too," Damion said.
"So, what now?" Uni asked.
"Well, after playing a couple of Vert's games I think this is the part where we start dating," Damion said.
"Really? Basing this off of your sister's games?" Uni asked, laughing.
"Hey, I was bored. Also she had always been trying to convince me," Damion said, laughing with her.
"Well, looks like she came back for more," a low voice said.
"Brave!" Uni said, turning to see the robot.
"I'm assuming this is the dude who challenged you," Damion said, grabbing his trident.
"Yeah, CFW Brave," Uni grimace.
"CFW, you mean like that one dude that Nepgear and the twins fought in Lowee?" he figured.
"Heh, so they fought Trick, I'm guessing he lost since you said they fought as if they had won," Brave said.
"Yeah, and the two of us will defeat you," Damion said.
"I take no joy in wanton slaughter, should you surrender I shall allow you to retreat at once," Brave offered.
"Why should we surrender to you?" Damion challenged, transforming.
"Yeah!?" Uni challenged, also transforming.
"I'll hold my own justice!" Brave yelled, charging with his sword.
"Now now, you can't harm such a lovely lady," Damion said, blocking the attack with his trident. "Ocean's Wrath!" he yelled, slashing with the trident and some water.
"Paralysis Shot!" Uni yelled as Damion leaped back.
"Ah, lovely my dear," Damion said, laughing like a madman.
"RRAH!" Brave yelled, slashing at Damion who jumped back.
The battle went on for a few minutes. Uni ended the battle by shooting Brave in the back.
"I recognize your will's strength. Well, I will accept my loss and leave," Brave said, flying off in the direction of the Graveyard.
"We won," Uni said, falling to her knees and transforming back.
"That we did," Damion agreed, transforming as well. "How about this, I carry you back and you actually relax and heal up a bit."
"Alright, but I get to ride on your back," Uni demanded.
"Alright, hop on," Damion said, turning around and bending down.
Uni hopped on his back and he started walking back to Lastation. When they got back Uni was sleeping and Damion used his leg to open the door.
"Damion, Uni!" Nepgear exclaimed.
"Shh, she's asleep. We beat the person who she fought and I convinced her to actually relax and heal so I would prefer for her to stay asleep for a while. I'm going to take her to her room and then we can talk," Damion softly said, as to not wake the sleeping Candidate.
He slowly went to her room and placed her on her bed, tucking her in and kissing her forehead. He then walked down, went to the fridge and grabbed an IBC root beer. He then went to the living room and explained most of what happened to the others leaving out the kiss and the fact that they might be dating as he is not exactly sure.
"Wow, that's something," IF said.
"Yeah, I honestly think her mental state took a bit of a hit when Noire left. When we were talking she kept saying she wasn't worth her sister's attention and other things similar to that. I convinced her to change and just be happy but I don't think it's going to be like a switch so if you see her being self demeaning just tell her that she's wrong and encourage her to stop thinking that way," Damion explained.
"O-of course," Nepgear said.
"We'll stop her from being a stupidhead," Ram said.
"Yeah," Rom agreed.
"Hey, why was I in my room?" Uni asked, walking in.
"Because, I carried you there while you were asleep. Also we need to finish our conversation that was interrupted," Damion said.
"What do you mean, it's like you said."
"Ooo, what was the conversation?" Red asked.
"Well, Uni and I are dating now," Damion said.
"WHAT!?" Everyone exclaimed.
