Shack459: Not sure, but keep reading to find out and am more than happy to see your review and thank you for your review in the second chapter.
B10H (Guest): Maybe, but thanks for the review, hope to see more from you.
Hellsink Bathhall: Much delight to hearing your thoughts, and i do plan on bringing everone who have watched and haven't watched fairy tail up to date in the most simplest detail... In regards to my A/N, thanks, and it is true magic should be of use to them. But the flaw in fairy tail is simple, not many have the magic ability to control, i mean the (Dmc) anime Lowell family use real magic, and not fighting based magic like in fairy tail where its more focused to do certain things and not everything.
A/N: The characters i do not detail in this chapter, are those i deem unnecessary to the story, i will be happy to answer your questions if there is any next time.
Disclaimer: I do not own Devil may cry Franchise, nor that of Fairy Tail. . .
The moon reigned in it's pinnacle of celestial grace, it's astral luminescent glory. Upon the world thrown into chaos below, many things were in flames of chaotic glory and blood stained the walls (those that stood) and grounds (that are not broken).
Demons roamed the continent with only one objective instilled into their most broken consciousness. Rid humans of their lives and gather their blood to give unto the Qliphoth for nourishment. So it may grow in perfect health to bore the divine fruit, to give unto whoever consumed it the power of a god.
It's crude (I know). But power is key to achieving dreams, and enacting dominion over your enemies...That's what Vergil thinks anyway.
The handsome older twin of the legendary devil hunter (Dante), sat at the top of a roof beside the chimney. He was looking up at the luminescence provided by the astral orb, through the solar support of the strongest star.
The ring of dull electromagnetic radiation, which was in the sky around but beneath the natural satellite of (Earth Land). Vergil found fascinating, the same as the day all this shit unfolded upon this unfortunate souls...
Vergil found he and Dante falling, fortunately. They had both disposed of all of the demons whom were caught up into this world with them. Strange that someone without the power of the Yamato in their grasp was able to bring the Qliphoth anywhere, but the mystery clouding that can be solved another day.
Vergil remembered how he felt incommode, due to the slaughter that occurred right in front of them. He didn't know why he felt that way, he was ruthless was he not?. It was clear even unto himself he had changed after regaining his own being, but to the extent of caring for those who were too weak to protect themselves from threats they know nothing of?.
Maybe that was why, he did still remember his words to his brother back then.
( " Might controls everything - and without strength, you cannot protect anything; let alone yourself. " )...
Those words had a Tinnitus effect on Vergil, looking at a mirror of himself through his own words. He had the power, and could not do anything to protect those poor souls, because he happened to have exhausted himself.
But it didn't matter, he helped the best way he could with his words. It was unfortunate nobody took heed to his warning, and it also didn't matter whether he was drained. After stabbing Dante because he had taunted him by saying.
" I bet I can beat you if I wanted "
Dante even smirked if he recalled well, it was irritating and he could not resist. Vice-versa, they passed out and woke up to some ugly things before them, acting like some watchdogs. Just seeing the demon sprung him into action, and of course, killed it.
After thought, he decided they soak in the world, while in truth he wanted to find out exactly just how different people in this world were to those in theirs. And he did, it was quite intelligible. . .
Three days without anything eventful happening, and Vergil almost thought there might not be important in this world as he had first thought. But then he began to walk a path which proved to be the most interesting he had ever seen so far in this world, but from what information he was able to gather later on. Detailed as that Sabertooth is a Legal Guild in the Kingdom of Fiore, and was known as the strongest guild in Fiore until fairy Tail Reclaimed the title after the X791 Grand Magic Games.
The former "strongest guild in Fiore" was led by Master Jiemma with an iron fist: any member staining the name of Sabertooth with his or her actions will be severely reprimanded, and disgracing the guild might even lead to ex-communication, with Jiemma further humiliating the underling who failed him before driving them out, as he heard with Yukino Agria, who was forced to strip and then chased away for losing against Kagura Mikazuchi and being pitied by her.
Sabertooth's rank seems to consist of at least several tens of members, among which are five elite Mages responsible for earning the guild its current status. Unlike Fiore's current top guild, Fairy Tail, which accepts new members without requirements, Sabertooth seems to have high standards, as noted by his discoveries. In stark contrast to this, however, the Exceed Lector and Frosch made it to the guild despite their seeming lack of fighting skills, and, strangely enough, Jiemma seemed to be unaware of their presence until the former spoke to him; something which hints Sabertooth's Master may not be the only one behind the acceptance of new members.
After losing the title of the strongest guild and recently owed By Fairy Tail For saving Lector, Sabertooth's ruthless images are no more, with the bonds of friendships now moving forward.
'Bonds of friendship uh' Vergil thought with a chuckle. Continuing with his mental narration...
Vergil vaguely remembered the area and how the guild itself looked, apparently...
Sabertooth's current location is unknown to many. However, its apparent guild building appears to be located in a rocky area, with some mountains sitting not far from it. The building is identified by a large banner, covered in lines and sporting light edges, which bears the guild's symbol, held up by a horizontal staff secured via a chain to a metal ring, adorned by fang-like protrusions, which tops the high pole sustaining the emblem.
Sabertooth's headquarters itself appears to be a very large complex consisting of several structures joined together, with some of them even sitting on top of the others, generating an imposing, elongated structure vaguely reminiscent of an odd pyramid adorned by a multitude of facades, windows and pillars, as well as by some pointed towers protruding upwards from its upper part. Topping the whole structure is a massive statue portraying the animal which is the guild's namesake, a saber-toothed cat with its jaws open.
Scarce scrubs of trees are found in the building's vicinity and additional structures are located not far from it, being seemingly numerous and elaborated like those composing the headquarters.
The predatorial name given to the guild made it even more acceptable as of the unfolding of the event, the animalistic behavior displayed. Which was why Vergil humored his source to let him in on the history of the guild. Which was also a little interesting, (well) enough to wile away time.
InX784, Sabertooth wasn't a powerful or famous guild. However, during the seven years following the disappearance of the core members of Fairy Tail after the events of Tenrou Island, Sabertooth gained a new master, and soon after recruited five strange yet very powerful Mages into its ranks: Sting Eucliffe, Rogue Cheney, Rufus Lore, Orga Nanagear and Minerva Orland. Their presence dramatically increased Sabertooth's strength, eventually making it the number one guild in Fiore.
It didn't appear to have mattered actually, but Vergil's source pushed the knowledge of their strength as a guild on him, it was irritating and thought he should kill his source on multiple periods of time while the person explained. But killing humans was not something he does, at the very least not with his own blades. So persuading him that the little story behind their strength was fun, he decided he would do anything to just listen to his source by staying calm and reasonable as best as he could.
So his source narrated to him that as of yearX791, Sabertooth was renowned as the strongest guild in the Kingdom of Fiore, (which he already knew) being considered superior to many other guilds which in the past used to be more famous than it, such As Lamia Scale, Blue Pegasus And even Fairy Tail, the former owner of Sabertooth's current status. The core of the guild's power and the ones behind its reputation are just five Mages, known to possess tremendous Magic Powers: The Twin Dragons of Sabertooth, Sting Eucliffe and Rogue Cheney, as the name implies, are Two Dragon Slayers belonging to the so-called Third Generation, meaning that they gained their Magic through both the training of a Real Dragon And also from the insertion Of Dragon Lacrima in their bodies.Their power is acknowledged by The King of Fiore himself, who referred to seeing them fight on a later date as "saving the best for later", and they made claim that with their Magic, they were able to kill the Dragons who had taught them in the first place. Other Mages of this elite group, such as Rufus Lore and Orga Nanagear, possess extremely rare types of Magic such as Memory-Make and Lightning God Slayer Magic, respectively Sabertooth's team for the Grand Magic Games was able to achieve the first place in the Games' preliminary contest Sky Labyrinth, beating all of the other groups, some of which included powerful individuals the likes of Lamia Scale's Jura Neekis and Fairy Tail's Laxus Dreyar; it's worth noting that the elite five weren't even complete at this time: the fifth member, Minerva, was out on a job and was temporarily replaced by newcomer Yukino Agria.
Sabertooth's strength in comparison to Fairy Tail is less, as was discovered during the Grand Magic Games.Minerva, who is lauded as the strongest of the S-Class Mages in Sabertooth was soundly defeated by Fairy Tail's Erza Scarlet, in a battle that overwhelmingly favored Minerva. The Twin Dragons of Sabertooth Were defeated effortlessly by Natsu Dragneel, who won in a 2v1 fight without resorting to Dragon Force or Dual Elemental Dragon Mode.
Rogue Cheney was later defeated in a 1v1 fight against Gajeel. Gray Fullbuster was the third S-Class candidate from Fairy Tail to defeat a Sabertooth S-Class level Mage like Rufus Lore, in a 1v1 on the final day of the a Nanagear is inferred to be significantly weaker than his lightning-using counterpart in Fairy Tail: Laxus Dreyar. Orga was defeated in a single strike by Jura, who in turn was defeated by Laxus himself.
Vergil had never felt a higher relief than when his source came to a full stop, but he should have guessed the person had more information. Info's Vergil didn't care for were being handed to him, on a fucking silver platter. The value it added to him was zero, and would have just straightway called it a waste of time, if he had anymore time to waste on saying that.
But then, the fancy title people in this world give those who possess certain abilities is both pathetic and intriguing, (Dragon Slayer magic) or (God slayer magic). Why need a specific magic to kill a certain creature, demons and gods he gets (even angels). If any were roaming around, but Dragons?. But Vergil guessed he wasn't in any position to criticize.
Either way, the future narration was null when he actually witnessed the fall of the same guild his source later on told him all about...
Vergil remembered concealing himself behind the trees in the vicinity of the building, which was a stumbling block to those who claimed it as home, compared too the glory it once held by its looks. Vergil found Qliphoth saplings sticking out from the ground, a dozen Hell Caina were making quick work of the mages present in the guild, whom were only able to stop them for a bit before the demons would break out from whatever held them and kill.
The sight was nasty, and he almost had hope for their survival if not for more appearance, this ones more dangerous than the Hell caina who were busy massacring humans. . .
" We can do it guys, lets give it our all for our fallen comrades " Those words left the mouth of a Sting Eucliffe, who is the current Guild Master of The Sabertooth Guild, and is part of The Twin Dragons of Sabertooth. Originally a Dragon Slayer From four hundred years past, Sting was sent to the future to assist in the destruction of Acnologia.
Vergil mentally stopped his narration, taking in the time travel concept, not impossible. He thought, he does possess a weapon that can cut through realities, so time travel should be possible. If one can lock unto a predetermined time period, either past or future and one as the tool to make such a trip, through the space-time continuum, then it's a done deal...That's also what he thinks anyway.
Vergil sighed at his own mental interruption, and continued his narration. . .
Sting is a slim, yet muscular, toned young man of average height with spiky blond hair, which is kept in strands jutting outwards in every direction, and a smaller, frontal cowlick (or tuft) of hair partially hanging over his forehead. He has slanted, slit pupiled, dark blue eyes; above the right one is a thin, diagonal scar. Sting's left ear is adorned with an earring which, in itself, is attached to by a prominent metal pendant that is crystalline in shape. His white Sabertooth mark is located on his left shoulder. As a Dragon Slayer, Sting possesses distinctively sharp canine teeth.
Sting dons a blue vest with golden outer edges and inner edges covered by a prominent trimming of gray fur that appears similar to a feather boa over a short, cream top, leaving his muscular upper abdominals exposed. His arms are covered by dark blue gloves reaching up to his mid-bicep, with their upper edges being adorned by light gray bands hanging down several centimeters. He wears loose, cream-colored pants, similar to Natsu's, but held up by suspenders, which attach to the pant loops by square-shaped rings that are gold in color. Over them, he dons distinctive dark blue galosh-Esque footwear that reaches up to his thighs and attach to the upper edge of his pants. The prominent soles of the "boots" are distinctive in their own right; it has rectangular protrusions pointing upwards on their front portion, reminiscent of square fangs.
During the last day of the Grand Magic Games, Sting wore a dark blue, gold trimmed jacket, as well as a black, high-collared piece of what appears to be armor underneath, exposing, yet again, his abdominals. With this, Sting wore light-gray colored pants with fang-like designs on the side; he accessorized his outfit with two different belts: one around his waist and one below that that holds a feather boa. His pants are tucked inside boots that are extremely reminiscent of his original pair.
After the events of Tartaros unfold, Sting appears sporting an outfit similar to his usual attire, albeit with minor modifications. He now wears a light-colored jacket with dark-colored clothing protruding from the inside, with the collar pointed upwards; his new jacket still retains the feather boa. Sting retains his old gloves that cover the majority of his arms and also wears a striped belt and dark pants, which are tucked inside his dark-colored boots.
The particular demons emerging Vergil found were not that dangerous, well he could only think that because he himself is a monster among demons, more powerful than the sealed (mundus) can be, also more powerful than the late argoxas. Anyway he was going reluctantly describe the demons in his own mind.
The first three demons to emerge from a rapidly bubbling pool of blood: The Fury's are a rare demon species whom have mutated over time to achieve greater speed to hunt down prey, many generations have passed in order to reach the level of the Fury. It's also able to spawn a blade out of its arm without injuring itself, using it to damage its targets.
The way the fury's would stage their attacks isn't that complicated.
To start things up, the Fury's will never attack their opponents head-on, but instead always perform a teleporting pattern where it will then suddenly appear and try to strike its target. It has multiple attack patterns which are indicated by the process done when it's growing the blade out of its arm.
The Fury's can only be hit at specific moments during its process, or when it is knocked down. Forcing most opponents to wait for the right moment to strike. It also has one distinct teleporting pattern where it will not attack the opponent, but instead reposition somewhere else on the battlefield so it can try to start an attack again.
All this behavioral pattern doesn't really help anyone, since the damage became done without much difficulty.
Anyway, the second four demons to appear are none other than: Riots. Whom are reptilian lesser demons evolved from harsh environment of the Underworld, gaining retractable razor-sharp claws that can cut through steel with ease, two rows of sharp teeth, and lower jaw that can separate sideways. They have strong muscles on their limbs that have strength equal to a hydraulic cylinder that enable these creatures to jump incredibly high. While sharp, their claws can be broken with enough force.
Vergil thought that with how much people have been killed by the Hell caina, the mages effort was about to end. And he would have broke in and exterminate the demons, if something in his mind didn't tell him to stop. So instead of moving in, he listened and watched. . .
" White Drive." Sting exclaimed. A technique which, according tovergil's source amplifies Sting's Magic abilities, completely cloaking his body with an aura of bright light, allowing him to better employ his Dragon Slayer Magic whilst at the same time seemingly enhancing his physical prowess to a degree, particularly his speed. According to Sting himself, White Drive harnesses "the power that kills Dragons", and it indeed allowed the White Dragon Slayer to momentarily overwhelm Natsu Dragneel, who had him completely outmatched beforehand. This state either grants Sting the ability to perform new spells or makes them stronger, as the Sabertooth Mage has been shown employing several skills only while in said Drive. This technique is very similar to that used by Sting's fellow Dragon Slayer and partner Rogue Cheney's similarly namedShadow Drive.
Vergil remembered his eyes tilting around his socket, as he started following the swift movements of sting and one of the fury's. Vergil was not sure, but the fury engaging sting changed it's pattern of attack maybe because the opponent was slightly keeping up with it. The two shared attacks, and sting was clearly having a hard time avoiding the blade of the demon.
Vergil looked away, seeing as the blond one had it handled to focus on someone else.
Rogue a slim young man of average height with rather messy black hair, which almost reaches down to his shoulders, along with some strands pointing upwards on top of his head and a prominent tuft obscuring most of his forehead. His hair is later brushed to the right side of his face covering up his right eye. He has red eyes with slit pupils similar to that of a snake's, likeGajeel Redfox's eyes.
Another zero value information forced on Vergil by his source.
Following the battle against the Dragons, Rogue gains a thin scar across the bridge of his nose. During the war against Tartaros, Rogue put his hair up in a ponytail, furthering his overall resemblance to his future self.
Rogue wears a long, black cape reaching down to his feet, with golden edges, a much lighter collar circling his neck, and a prominent, white ribbon hanging down on his chest. Such cape bears a light Sabertooth's symbol on it, almost in correspondence to Rogue's left shoulder. Below it, Rogue seems to wear a plain gray shirt with prominent brown cuffs and what looks like a large metal band circling each of his biceps. From a light sash circling his waist hangs a distinctive, pale blue cloth waistguard, consisting of four long pieces of cloth reaching down below his knees. Each of these pieces is adorned by a large, dark cross with fan-shaped arms. Below such waistguard, Rogue wears a pair of armored boots, which, on the front, bear plates bearing the very same motif which appears on the waistguard.
Following the Grand Magic Games, Rogue wears an outfit extremely similar to the one he wore before, however certain parts are reminiscent of his future self's own clothing, specifically the cloak, which is high collared and held closed at the sternum by a piece of fabric that stretches across his chest and is buttoned to the cloak on either side; it still retains the mark of Sabertooth on the left shoulder. The cloak, though, is like his old one and has a gold-colored trim. In place of the cloth tie he used in his last outfit, Rogue now has an ascot that is tied around his neck, but lies beneath the cloak instead of around it. Additionally, the cross-adorned cloth Rogue wears around his waist now pokes through his waistband, which is wrapped around him one extra time to make room for his katana, which he still carries.
As of the Tartaros-Fairy Tail war, Rogue's attire has changed drastically. He now wears a light-colored leopard-patterned kimono that only covers the right half of his torso, beneath which he wears armor that is light in the chest but dark everywhere else; the neck of the armor coils around his own and fastens there appropriately, and his left arm is left uncovered at the shoulder, exposing his Sabertooth mark. Around his waist is a very long sash that ties on the right side of his body and loops around the left, and holds a design-adorned piece of white fabric in place over the top of his loose, black pants. Around Rogue's left forearm is a black band that has a white ring over the wrist; he completes his outfit with black ankle boots, within which his pants are tucked. His katana is also noticeably absent.
Vergil groaned internally, he hates his source so very much. He couldn't even think without visualizing the details in his mind and in regards to the man's personality.
Rogue is the quieter of the Twin Dragon Slayers. He mostly keeps a calm face and rarely shows any emotions, except for interest in Gajeel.
Although he is part of Sabertooth and one of their five strongest Mages, Rogue seemed to have questioned the way their guild handles things in the past, namely failure and weakness, and holds a strong belief on camaraderie.
After Yukino lost her match against Kagura and was subsequently humiliated and excommunicated by their Guild Master, he told Sting that despite her failure, she was still their comrade. Sting, whereas, merely brushes off Rogue's comment, suggesting that it's the way their guild works and gave the matter little thought. Rogue does, however, have a softer, caring side. When his Exceed partner, Frosch, started to fret over being excommunicated because of its lack of strength, Rogue smiles and denounces Frosch's fears as just that, promising that it would be okay as long it was with him.
Rogue also seems to lack the sadistic tendencies shared among several of his guild mates. When Lucy was being tortured By Minerva, Rogue did not join in with his teammates' laughter.Rather, Rogue was looking away from the torture with a displeased expression, and he did not jump to Minerva's aid afterwards, unlike his ream. He also appears to be unusually kind towards his guild and is very protective of Frosch. He and many of his guild mates were horrified at the "death" Of Lector, showing that he cares for his fellow guild mates.
Additionally, like most Other Dragon Slayers, Rogue suffers from motion sickness.
According to Vergil's source, Rogue is an orphan originally born over four hundred years ago, Rogue was raised by A Dragon Known as Skiadrum, who taught him Shadow Dragon Slayer Magic; during his tenure as Skiadrum's child, he became affiliated with the four other Dragon Slayer children, and met with them several times a year when their foster parents got together for meetings, wherein he and Sting would respectively idolize Gajeel and Natsu. Skiadrum, like the other four Dragons he conspired with, ended up implanting his damaged soul in Rogue's body, and then used Rogue's body as a host to create anti-Dragonization antibodies. After this, Skiadrum manipulated Rogue's memories to erase this event, instead, he made it appear as though he was ill and Rogue had assisted in his timely death. From here, Rogue was sent four hundred years into the future via the Eclipse Gate, arriving on July 7, X777, so that his foster parent could use the Ethernano-dense atmosphere to also heal his soul and recover enough to possibly defeat Acnologia, alongside the other four wounded Dragons. Some time after this, Rogue also implanted Dragon Lacrima into his body, thereby making him a Third Generation Dragon Slayer.
In X784, Rogue was a fan and the sworn younger brother of Gajeel Redfox, and desired to join the Phantom Lord Guild, which Gajeel used to be a part of.Also during this time, Rogue changed his name from Ryos as he disliked its meaning.
" Shadow Drive" Rogue exclaimed as well.
Once again according to vergil's almost nagging source of information, the magic Rogue uttered was a type of Magic-amplification technique used by Rogue that brings out the true power of his Shadow Dragon Slayer abilities, excluding the power boost granted by Dragon Force, yet, at the same time, seemingly enhancing his physical prowess to a degree, particularly his speed.
It grants Rogue an aura of shadows that completely cloaks and continuously rises from his body. The technique also obscures Rogue's eyes, leaving only his round, blank irises visible.According to Rogue's fellow Dragon Slayer and partner Sting, Shadow Drive harnesses "the power that kills Dragons", and it indeed allowed the Shadow Dragon Slayer to momentarily overwhelm Gajeel Redfox, who had him completely outmatched beforehand. This state either grants Rogue the ability to perform new spells or makes them stronger, as the Sabertooth Mage has been shown employing several skills only while in said Drive. This technique is very similar to that used by Rogue's fellow Dragon Slayer and partner Sting, the similarly named White Drive.
Many of the powerful mages in the guild had already been slaughtered, the main reason being the unknown which was the demons. And those left standings were sting and rogue, the five others left are insignificant to Vergil. His source did try to tell him their identities, but it was that one time he threatened the person. His source had already clouded his mind with different and unnecessary info, more will probably turn him into the villain of this whole story.
Either way, Rogue engaged the demons and none of them were able to lay a hand on him, and Vergil thought those two were remarkable.
" Holy Ray" Sting exclaims.
Sting first joins the open palms of his hands together, with all the fingers on one hand in contact with the corresponding ones on the other hand, and then separates his palms while keeping the fingers in contact through their tips. Light is generated in the hollow part between his hands, expanding from the holes between Sting's fingers.
At this point, the White Dragon Slayer completely separates his hands, extending them horizontally at his body's sides as the light he generated takes the form of a large sphere, from which several white rays are fired towards the target(s), leaving their starting point in a curved trajectory to strike them. Hell caina are thus bombarded by a barrage of beams that inflict heavy damage, striking them in rapid succession. Sting was shown using this spell on Natsu Dragneel and Gajeel Redfox while the latter two were in midair.
Sting was actually in mid-air unleashing his attacks, misfortune quickly befell everyone the moment the ceiling crumbled and fell. The result was a big dusty smoke, and when it cleared Sting's lower half was caught under one of the debris. Vergil felt it should have been easy for the blond to escape, but the debris was a pile and he would have shouted in exasperation at fate.
Cause what, over-kill much?. The scenes after were drama.
Everyone was surprised, and Rogue who to Vergil seemed particularly friendly with the blond. Went to aid the guild master, and became tangible to help the blond. While he pushed the first debris away, a riot made quick work of two of the insignificant mages.
Right after though, a massive opening cracked open. A clear path for them to escape, the Demons remaining backed off for some strange reason. But it was clear when they targeted rogue and sting because the dragon slayer was tangible a fury was able to sever the dark-haired young man's right leg.
Blood gushed out and the rogue cried out in pain, with the overwhelming pain, the rogue disengaged his form on instincts. Rogue still resilient pushed through the pain and pushed the remaining debris off the sting.
" Come on, help us up We should get out of here now " Sting called out, it was hard for him to move about, more for rogue.
Vergil noted even if the scene had not played out as it did, the rogue could have bled to death...
One of the three tried to move towards them but was stopped with a forceful hand on her shoulder.
" If we move in closer, those things will think of it as a clear sign of attack and kill us all " A male of the three whispered, and the mage stopped frowned.
" But we cannot leave them behind, let's just try... " She was stopped once again.
" Listen bitch, you can either stay with them and die or we make a break for it and survive to get allies, those things are too powerful for us, " Said the male with a firm conviction.
The eyes of their third were wide like she had some craziness going on in her mind, the three were all banged up anyway.
" He's right, if we get closer we are going to die. There is a little chance we might be able to carry them and escape, but they will catch up eventually and we will be slaughtered like our friends " Said the girl.
" What are you three whispering about, get over here and help us " Sting shouted.
" We are the sorry boss, but helping you two will get us all killed and each one of us dying will not help anyone out, so this is goodbye master sting," Said the male.
Vergil watched as the blond's eyes widen in disbelief, his thoughts clear roaming around the impossibility of what was happening, it was not until after this event that he learned something about the sting.
Sting is a rather calm individual and is usually seen smiling; he rarely ever loses his temper. Sting believes that people who abandon their comrades are scum and do not hesitate to punish them for their acts.Curiously, however, he was angered when Natsu Dragneel said that fighting for his comrades was his reason for entering the Grand Magic Games.Sting seems to have no qualms about having killed his foster father, thinking that it is natural for a Dragon Slayer to kill a Dragon. This is later shown to be untrue, as both he and Rogue express regret when the Dragons attack Crocus. As such, Sting thinks that Dragon Slayers who are defeated by a Dragon are nothing but a disgrace. Also, as a Dragon Slayer, Sting stereotypically, yet comically, suffers from motion sickness, describing the phenomenon as one befitting of a "real" Dragon Slayer.
Sting enjoys watching fights, as he was excited to see Orga and Warcry fight, however, he was disappointed that Orga finished his fight rather quickly. He also desires to fight strong opponents, as after Natsu showcased his strength against Jiemma and much of the Sabertooth Guild, Sting became very excited, relishing in the fact that Natsu was much stronger than he had previously thought. He has also shown good sportsmanship and prefers not to mock others, even after defeating them. After Natsu and Gajeel were seemingly defeated by his Dragon Force, he looked down at them and commended them for putting up a good fight, even though they appeared to be lying down on the ground in defeat.
Sting is also quite arrogant as well, often boasting about his superiority as a Dragon Slayer. After Yukino was excommunicated from Sabertooth for her failure, Sting was not the least bit troubled, rather, he stated that as the strongest guild, they did not need weaklings. In regards to the matter, Sting only expressed joy at the fact that Sabertooth's five strongest Mages would be reassembled for the Grand Magic Games, as the fifth member was on her way. He also has a sadistic side, going as far as to laugh at Minerva's torture of Lucy. However, he cares a great deal for his fellow guild mates and His Exceed Companion, Lector. He demonstrates extreme loyalty towards his friends and is not quick to break any promises that he makes, especially to Lector. Sting is willing to go as far as using Dragon Force to win battles for Lector's sake. He and many of his fellow guild mates were horrified when Jiemma had killed Lector, showing that Sting possesses some degree of morals. He also has a vengeful side, shown when he attacked Jiemma in a grief-induced rage for "killing" Lector. Upon reuniting with Lector, Sting cried tears of joy.
After Lector's capture by Minerva, Sting's personality changed considerably; being much more solemn. This is exemplified by his attack on Bacchus: Rather than attacking Bacchus with his usual gusto, Sting attacked him quickly and quietly, completely devoid of emotion.
However, as the current Guild Master of Sabertooth, he seems much more cheerful. He has developed a much happier demeanor and is now more easy-going with others. Sting is excited to improve the guild and work together with his teammates to get the job done, demonstrating his cooperative and social side. He also has no qualms with the members continuing to refer to him as Sting, as shown when Lector accidentally called his name instead of using his pared to Rogue, Sting is the more sensitive of the two Dragon Slayers, wearing his heart on his sleeve and openly crying when he is overcome with grief, with Rogue even jokingly calling him "Master Crybaby" once. This is shown most prominently after Sabertooth's brutal defeat at the hands of the Alvarez Empire, since he takes this loss worse than any of his teammates, and openly sobs about how pathetic he is to do anything. Even after Yukino convinces him that it's his responsibility to encourage everyone to continue fighting despite their loss, he still considers himself to be an apathetic master, showing that he is still insecure with himself filling in the role as the leader of Sabertooth.
It was funny that a man who believes those who abandon their comrades was about to be abandoned by his comrades, because as soon as the two convinced the girl. They made a break for it through the opening and used their magic to escape faster.
Vergil heard sting shout the word "scum" multiple times, and started trying to pick rogue up. But for some reason the situation caused a tear to roll down the blond's cheek, and Vergil decided he had watched enough. He already feels like more of a bad person than those insignificant fools who abandoned their comrade, the least he could is save the two who had demons advancing on them.
Sting had his eyes glancing from front to back while moving rogue, who was on the verge of collapsing from the loss of blood. Then suddenly series of slashes sailed through the air and the next thing. The remaining demons, turned to something like dust after their blood had stained the grounds.
Footsteps echoing, sting looked to the white-haired man sheathing his sword, and approaching them.
" Real men don't cry, not for the dead or for those who betray their trust, " Vergil said
Vergil approached rogue held him in place and placed a hand on the severed limb with the application of demonic energy. Vergil was able to close the wound and stop the bleeding, Vergil got up and turned around.
" Who are you? " Rogue asked in a weak voice, " Passing by, I will stick around for a day and a half in the shadows until you two are somewhere safe. I'm doing you a service, as payment. Don't die " Vergil closed any room for questions by teleporting out of sight. . .
As he had said, Vergil stayed around and disposed of every single demon that may come their way, until the two were functioning well enough to move. Of course, the sting was the supporter of the other. And after they left, Vergil made his way towards wherever.
And that was how he spent his month, what he learned from the ordeal of the mages was clear. In every world, people are the same, there the good ones and the bad. And those who would survive at all cost.
"Any more information you require? " Asked someone appearing beside Vergil on the roof, donned in an all-black cloak.
Oh gee, his source is here.
" Leave me for now or die " Vergil threatened, he didn't want to be bothered.
Vergil's source gulped audibly and disappeared... Vergil looked up into the night sky, wondering.
" What next to do? ". . .
