Having a secret relationship had a lot of downsides. There were the lies that you had to feed people with, the constant hiding and the self-control that you had to put on whenever your partner was around. Evelyn had always thought that those were the biggest downsides that her secret relationship with Rabastan had, but she had been very wrong. There were many other downsides that she had failed to notice. However, they didn't have much to do with the secret part of it. When it came to all the secrecy, Evelyn decided that it was the fact that she couldn't break up with Rabastan whenever she wanted. She had to wait. She had to wait for the night they were going to meet in secret.

She didn't want to wait. Each minute that she waited, doubts would arise in her mind.

What if Dumbledore had been wrong? What if Rabastan wasn't treating her as bad as everyone, including herself, thought? What if she was judging him too harshly? What if his mistakes weren't as unforgivable as she thought? What if she broke his heart? What if she broke his heart so badly that he would hurt her?

Of course, the last question made Evelyn change her whole perspective. She started to get worried at the thought of what he would do when she broke up with him. She knew that he wouldn't take it well. She just didn't know how bad he would take it.

Maybe she shouldn't do this at all, she thought. Maybe she could give Rabastan a second chance and he would change his ways. Maybe he would become a better boyfriend. The best boyfriend she could ask for.

When she heard a familiar laugh, Evelyn's thoughts got interrupted. She looked up from her untouched breakfast and her eyes averted at the right side of the Ravenclaw table.

Diana had laughed with something Carter had said to her. She was laughing at the moment too. She was laughing so hard that she had to hold her hand over her mouth. The others were around Diana and Carter too, but their frowns made Evelyn realize that they didn't have a clue what Carter said to Diana.

Watching them reminded Evelyn of a time when she had joined in the laughter. Carter's jokes had always made her laugh and it had been one of the best parts of her day. She loved it, even more, when he told a joke to Edrick who had the most contagious laugh Evelyn had heard. Those moments with her friends had to be the best moments Evelyn had in Hogwarts. Her friends had made this Hogwarts experience better for her and because of Rabastan, she had lost that.

They weren't her friends anymore. They hadn't been for weeks now. The way that they acted made Evelyn think that they forgot all about her. They forgot that she had been part of them. They forgot that she, alongside Don, had joined the group together.

At the thought of Don, Evelyn scoffed. She remembered what Christina had done. She had written a letter to Don, probably twisting the truth, before Evelyn could even tell her best friend. This had caused Don to abandon her as well. When she had confronted Christina, none of the others had stuck up for Evelyn. They were just as bad as Christina was. While they had tried to help her, they had also proven that they weren't good friends. To Evelyn, they were bad.

Evelyn shook her head before glancing down at her breakfast. She hadn't touched a single thing and it wasn't like the plate was full. She only had toast and some jam with a cup of milk on the side. However, just the sight of the food, made her nauseous.

She looked away and decided to get up. If she continued to stay, she thought that she was going to puke at any given moment. She got up and grabbed her bag, filled with books.

Not able to help herself, Evelyn glanced towards the Slytherin table. She found Rabastan quite easily. He was surrounded by his usual friends. She could see Rosier holding the Daily Prophet in his hands. As he read it, she could see the smiles spreading through all of them, including Rabastan.

Her body shivered. She had read a few articles in the Daily Prophet before she bothered to eat. Most of them had been about the war. They had talked about how Voldemort's power was increasing, how some people had been attacked and how two Aurors had lost their lives. While Evelyn wanted to hope that Rabastan wasn't smiling at those articles, she just couldn't. Her gut told her that he was smiling because of them. And as much as she didn't want to admit it, Evelyn believed that he wasn't faking it. She believed that the smile on Rabastan's face was as genuine as it could be.

Before anyone noticed her look at him, she turned her head away. She gulped down as she remembered Dumbledore's words. Everything that the old headmaster had said was right. She didn't know why she had any doubts, to begin with. She guessed that the love that she had for Rabastan was still blinding her at some point. However, she knew that another factor played a role in this. A factor that made Evelyn want to forget breaking up with Rabastan and just continue this relationship. Despite the warnings of Dumbledore and the other people around her, this factor ruled Evelyn's mind so much that she would rather stay with him.

Before she had ended her friendships, Evelyn had always sat with Gabriela in Potions. Both of them excelled in the class and enjoyed being in it. They were good partners together. However, since they had stopped being friends, Gabriela had started to sit with Mona. Evelyn, on the other hand, had ended up sitting with Amos Diggory.

While Amos Diggory was known to brag a lot about his achievements, Evelyn didn't mind that much. If she allowed herself to how any imperfection, it was her condescending side. She didn't know why, but she always felt comfortable with that part of herself. So, to her, Amos Diggory wasn't as bothersome as he was to others, especially Hufflepuffs. The one thing she only thought about him was how he ended up in Hufflepuff. After all, the house was known for its modesty.

"Professor Kettleback was surprised with all my knowledge of creatures from my first class with him," Amos told her before the class started. "He said I was the best in the class."

Evelyn knew he was speaking nonsense. She knew that Gabriela was. She had been told many times by Christina and Diana. Of course, Gabriela had never told her this. Her modesty didn't let her. Whenever it was mentioned that she was, her friend would deny it and even act shyer than usual. However, Evelyn didn't say anything to Amos about it. She found him bold as he spoke to her about this. She wondered if it ever crossed his mind that she knew he was lying.

"He sees that I have this instinct about creatures that no one does."

Evelyn sighed. "What does that mean?" He frowned at her question. "Having this so-called instinct?"

As soon as she asked that question, Evelyn noticed his face flush. She suppressed a smile as flustered even more. Seeing him fluster entertained her a lot and these days, she had been suffering from the lack of entertainment. "You know, uh-uh..." He trailed off as she raised his chin. Evelyn guessed that Kettleback never said anything like that. It was all made up. "He meant it as in, uh-uh, as in-"

"Good morning, class." Slughorn's arrival cut Amos off.

Evelyn's lips pursued at the appearance of the professor. If he had come in a minute later, she knew that Amos would have screwed up even more.

"Good morning, professor." A few students said in unison as the man moved on the front of the class.

Slughorn rested his hands on his round stomach and sighed. "Today, we will be learning about Draught of Peace." Evelyn furrowed her eyebrows. She had never heard of that potion. "Can anyone tell me something about it?"

Evelyn tried to rack her brain for an answer, but she couldn't find it. As she looked around, she noticed that Amos, Mona, Diana, Barty and even Gabriela raised their hands. She bit her lip as she realized that from the usual active students, she was the only one not to raise her hand.

Slughorn's eyes immediately landed on her. When he saw that she hadn't raised her hand, he raised his eyebrows. The look on his face made Evelyn look down. She realized that this was the first time that she didn't read the lesson ahead of time. The worst thing about it was that Slughorn noticed,

She closed her eyes while wishing that she wouldn't call her name. Some professors tended to do that at times. The last thing she wanted to get embarrassed about it in front of the class.

"Yes, Mr Diggory."

Her shoulders dropped in relief as Amos cleared his throat. "The Draught of Peace is a potion that relieves stress and agitation, professor." Evelyn blinked a few times when she heard that. Her eyes landed on her hands that were shaking. As she looked down on them, she wondered if the potion would work for her.

"Bravo, Mr Diggory." Slughorn beamed. "Ten points for Hufflepuff." She could hear some Hufflepuffs cheer for their housemate behind her, but she paid no attention to them. She focused on her shaking hands. She wondered if she could try the potions to see if it would work for her. "Now, the Draught of Peace is a potion that was first invented..." Slughorn started his lecture. As he did, Evelyn tried to focus her attention on him rather than on her shaking hands or her newest failure.

After ending the lecture and instructing them how to make the potions, Slughorn told Evelyn and the rest of the class to start making it. Amos went to get the needed ingredients while Evelyn stayed to prepare the cauldron. As she was preparing the cauldron, Slughorn approached her.

"Miss Sinclair King, are you having difficulties preparing the cauldron?"

Evelyn stopped. She looked down, but she couldn't see anything wrong. "No, I don't think I am." She lifted her eyes to meet Slughorn's. "Am I?"

Slughorn shook his head. "No, no, everything is fine." He told her. However, Evelyn's shoulders only tensed. "I just noticed that you were a little bit off today." Her heart sank at his words. "Actually, you have been off your game this whole semester. Is everything alright?"

Evelyn had to hold herself against the desk. As soon as those words slipped out of Slughorn's mouth, her knees started to shake so much that she was scared that she would fall. On top of that, she could even feel the temperature of her body rising. "Has-has my grade dropped in-in your class?"

"No, it hasn't." He revealed. "It's just that you aren't active as you used to be. You don't raise your hand as much, you don't partake in group work as much as Mr Diggory does and your essays have lacked your usual style."

"My usual style?"

"Perfection." When he said those words, Evelyn thought that it would be better for the ceiling to fall on top of her head. It would hurt way less. "Besides all of that, you haven't shown up in any Slug Club meetings."

Evelyn pressed her lips. The Slug Club was the last thing in her mind these days. She hadn't thought about it since the fourth year. "I'm sorry, professor, but I've been very busy these days with OWLs coming up, my prefect duties..."

"Oh, don't worry, I understand perfectly." Her body shivered at that word. "I'm just advising you that you need to pick it up. After all, you don't want anyone to steal the spot that you've been holding for so long." He smiled at her before he moved away from the table. As he did, Evelyn's whole body started to shake and her heart beat so fast that it reached her ear. All because she had just realized that she could lose her position as the best student in her year.

Evelyn washed her face with water a couple of times. She tried to refresh herself and stop thinking about what happened today. When she exited Slughorn's class, she had thought that this couldn't get worse. She had been proved wrong when McGonagall had repeated the same words as him. Both of them had told her that they didn't see her as the best student in her year. While she knew that they had tried to help, they only had made her situation worse.

She realized that not a single part of her was perfect. She wasn't the perfect daughter, sister, friend, girlfriend or student. Her perfection in all aspects of her life had been ruined. All that she worked hard for had completely shattered in front of her. She had tried so hard to keep this image for months, but it was futile.

Hart had been right. The explosion had happened. It had touched all aspects of her life and the damage seemed so big that Evelyn didn't know where to start. She didn't know which one to fix first. Merlin, she didn't know if they were fixable. Everything was in ruin now. She had ruined every aspect of her life, especially those surrounding Hogwarts.

Tears started to pool in her eyes. She didn't hold back in letting them fall. She was the only person in the bathroom. No one would hear her here. She could let it all fall. The only thing she tried to do was hide the noises that came out of her lips. She muffled them with her sleeve.

As she cried, Evelyn felt as if her tears were endless. She wondered if they would ever stop. She thought that they would never end. She thought that the tears would fall for the rest of her days.

When the door opened, Evelyn's heart jumped. She tried to wipe away the tears, but they continued to fall. She turned on the water and splashed her face with cold water. However, the tears didn't stop. She couldn't even control her shoulders or the sniffs that came out of her nose.

Since she couldn't stop herself from crying, she deiced that it was better to head to one of the stalls. Before she could even speak, the girl who entered the bathroom spoke.

"Evelyn?"

She immediately recognized the voice. It was her cousin, Elena.

Evelyn turned her head to look at her cousin. Elena's eyes widened at the sight of her and she took a step closer. "Why are you crying?"

She bit her lip. "For many reasons." She choked out. "To sum it up, my life is a mess."

Elena's shoulders dropped. "Did something happen?"

Evelyn tried to speak, but the tears only grew worse. She wiped them up in frustration. Sometimes, she cried so much that she could be called a fountain. She hated it. Yet she knew that she couldn't change it.

Her cousin moved to the sink and grabbed some tissues for Evelyn. She handed them to Evelyn and she started to clean her face. It didn't do much work as the tears just continued to fall.

"Evelyn, you're crying too much," Elena muttered as she stared at Evelyn. as she did, Evelyn could feel her breath turn short and shallow. "Should I call Madam Pomfrey or a professor? I think you're going to hyperventilate at any minute."

Elena didn't know that Evelyn was already hyperventilating though and was having a hard time controlling her breathing.

"I just-just... need to-to control... my-my breathing." Evelyn managed to say.

She walked away from the sinks and moved to the wall. She rested her head on cold tiles and closed her eyes. She tried to take deep breaths. It proved to be difficult, but she didn't stop. She continued to do it though.

It took more than five minutes for Evelyn to calm down. When she opened her eyes, she noticed that Elena was right by her side. Her cousin held a tissue in her hand that Evelyn took.

"You know that this isn't okay, right?" Elena spoke to her. "Hyperventilating for so long isn't okay. You need to go see a healer."

Evelyn shook her head. "There's no need to. This is the first time it happened to me." She lied to her cousin. "It only happened because I'm so stressed today."

"Did it have something to do with your talk with McGonagall after class?" Since Ravenclaw shared the class with Slytherin, Evelyn wasn't surprised that Elena notice.

"Partly," Evelyn admitted.

Elena sighed. "To believe, I thought she was going to compliment you about your essay."

"McGonagall doesn't compliment students," Evelyn muttered underneath her breath. She remembered that McGonagall actually did, but not in the usual way. "If she does, it's rare."

"Then what is it about?"

Evelyn breathed out as she wiped away her last tear. "Both her and Slughorn told me that I might lose my spot as the best student. They said that I'm off my game."

Elena frowned. "Will that be the worst thing to happen? You still will be one of the best."

"I don't want to be one of the best, I want to be the best," Evelyn informed her cousin who raised an eyebrow. "But I couldn't even hold that title."

"Don't you think you're putting yourself too much pressure? That you're trying too hard to become perfect?" Evelyn shook her head. She believed that she wasn't trying enough. if she did, none of this would have happened. "I don't get why you can't see that this pursuit of perfection is ruining you?"

"It's not that. I'm ruining myself by failing constantly in everything."

Elena sighed. "No, Evelyn." She insisted. "It's not. it's that facade of perfection that brought you here. If you hadn't tried putting that up, you wouldn't be here." Evelyn looked down. She thought that her cousin didn't understand. If Evelyn wasn't perfect, she was a failure. If she was a failure, Evelyn had no idea what to do with herself. "Take it from someone who tried to have the perfect body, Evelyn. If you continue this, forget to live a happy life. You'd be too obsessed with the concept of perfection to let yourself be happy."

"I can do this," Evelyn whispered to herself as she paced around the corridor. "I can do it." She looked down to her feet. "I can do it." She continued to assure herself as the clock ticked.

The time had finally come. She was going to meet Rabastan in a few minutes and she was going to break up with him. She wasn't going to back down. She wasn't going to doubt herself. She was going to do it.

Of course, her body told her to do otherwise with its shaking. The worst of all was that a part of her mind sometimes agreed with it. So, Evelyn ad the other part had to battle them both. She kept telling herself that she wouldn't give up. if she did, she would fall into a bigger pit than she already was.

When she heard steps come towards her, she glanced in the direction. She spotted him, walking towards her. The sight of him made her heart skip, especially when he smiled at her. Of course, that didn't last long as the smile reminded her of the one she had seen yesterday's morning. She had been right. It had been genuine.

"Are you alright?" Rabastan asked her. He didn't even bother to greet her. After all, it was probably easy to see how tense she was with her arms crossed and her shoulders raised way too high.

Evelyn gulped down. "Yeah." She lied. "I just want to talk to you."

Rabastan frowned as he stepped closer. "About what?"

Evelyn tried to ignore all the signs in her body telling her not to do it. She ignored her heart, lung, legs and hands. She only focused on one thing and that was her mouth. She needed to say those words that she had been wanting to say for days. So, she breathed in and out before raising her chin.

"I want to break up with you."

Silence fell between them. The only thing that they could hear was the crackling sound of the torches burning around them. They couldn't even hear their breaths as they were both holding in.

The air turned so tense that Evelyn couldn't even move her body. All she could do was stare at Rabastan who seemed too busy processing her words.

"What-what?" He ended up stuttering.

Evelyn pressed her lips. "I said that I want to break up."

He tilted his head. "Why?" She opened her mouth to speak. He didn't let her answer. "Have you been talking to your friends again?" He snapped at her making Evelyn flinch. "Have they been telling you to break up with me again?"

"No." Evelyn curled her fists to stop them from shaking. "I came to this conclusion on my own." It wasn't a lie. Dumbledore had warned her about Rabastan in form of advice. He had never told her to break up with him.

"I don't believe you." He told her. "Someone put your mind to it." He took a step forward while she took a step back.

"Why do you say that, Rabastan? Do you think that you have much power over me that I can't decide something on my own?" Evelyn shot back at him. The shaking of her body stopped. It got replaced by this overwhelming heat that spread through her body. "You might have influenced my thoughts before, but I'm not going to allow it anymore-"

Rabastan frowned. "What are you talking about? I did no such thing. You must have mistaken me with your friends-"

"Stop mentioning my friends!" Evelyn raised her voice. He curled his lips as he looked away. "They have nothing to do with this. This is between you and me."

"Then why do you have this sudden realization about our relationship, huh?"

She couldn't tell that Dumbledore was involved. If she did, she didn't know what Rabastan would do. "Because I finally understood how miserable I'm in this relationship. I haven't been happy for months. My love for me has blinded me from knowing what happiness is, from knowing what is right and wrong and from seeing the real you."

His eyes softened as he looked at her. "No one knows me better than you do, Evelyn. No one."

"I don't know if I know you." She admitted as she dropped her arms. "I don't know anything about anyone right now." A throbbing headache started, but Evelyn ignored it. She focused her attention on him.

"Then how do you know that we should break up?"

The words died in her mouth. She opened her mouth, but no words or noise came out of it. It was as if his question muted her.

Out of a sudden, Rabastan pulled her closer to him. She let out a gasp. However, she didn't protest. When her eyes met his and she saw the anguish in them, Evelyn stopped herself. She realized that she was hurting the boy she loved.

"I don't know what I did to make you feel this way, but I'm sorry." He cried out. "I'm sorry, okay?"Her lips trembled when she heard his voice croak. "I never meant to hurt you. I love you."

Evelyn didn't move. She acted like a deer in headlights. All she could think was how much she was hurting Rabastan. How could she hurt her boyfriend? How could she break his heart like this? Why was she such a horrible girlfriend?

"Please, don't leave me."

When Rabastan shook her shoulders forcefully, Evelyn's eyes opened wide. She glanced at her shoulders that were starting to hurt from his grip. She realized that she wasn't hurting him, he was hurting her.

"No."

Evelyn pushed his hands away from her shoulders and stepped back. He blinked a few times and looked at his hands.

"This is over," Evelyn stated. While she kept her eyes on him, he kept his locked on the ground. "We're over."

Rabastan didn't move. He didn't seem to even have registered her words. He just kept his eyes on the stone floor.

Not knowing what to do, Evelyn gulped down. She didn't know if she should leave or not. Leaving sounded like such a horrible move to do to someone who she broke up with, but staying didn't seem that well either.

She decided to leave. It seemed to be the best option. Staying could lead to her staying in this horrible relationship. She couldn't take a risk like that.

So, Evelyn turned her back on Rabastan. Before she could even take a step further, he grabbed her wrist. "Let me go." She whispered.

Instead of letting her go, Rabastan pushed her against the wall. Her back slammed against it. She hissed as a searing ache spread through it. As the pain spread, her body froze. She realized that Rabastan had slammed her against the wall.

When her eyes opened, she saw that he was only a few inches away from her. His hands were pressed against the wall, on each side of her head, blocking Evelyn from leaving.

Her breath caught in her throat. She turned her attention to him. Her eyes met his. She gaped when she saw that his eyes were burning with madness and fury.

At that moment, Evelyn realized that the factor that stopped her had never been worry. She had never been worried about his heart breaking. It wasn't her usual stress either. It had been fear. She had been scared of him. She had known in the back of her mind that something like this would happen. Her body had been shaking out of fear all along.

"Do you know what you're doing is one of the stupidest things I've seen someone do?" He hissed at her. She could feel his breath on her face, so she closed her eyes and turned her head. "Do you know what you're doing to me?" He pressed his knees against hers, blocking her fully. "Do you know what you're doing to yourself?" She didn't respond. She couldn't respond. She was scared that she'd pass out if she didn't focus on herself. "Who do you think is going to protect you now?"

Evelyn opened her eyes. "What?"

"Didn't I tell you that as long as you're with me, I'll protect you?" His voice made her whole body shiver and tears well up in her eyes. "After all, who can protect you from Death Eaters than a Death Eater himself?"

A single tear ran down her face. "You lied to me? You have been lying to me all along?"

Rabastan wiped the tear on her cheek gently. "Not all along. Somewhere in the third year, I realized that I was wasting my time trying to be someone I'm not. So, I decided to pretend." He chuckled. "Salazar, how quick you were to fall into my trap? The smartest person in our year, my arse."

Evelyn shook her head. Dumbledore had told her all of this. Even her friends had believed this true. However, hearing it from Rabastan's mouth was a whole different experience. It hurt way more. It felt like he was stabbing her repeatedly to the point of paralyzation.

"You need to stay with me, Evelyn." He continued to tell her. "It will be best for us."

She sniffed. "Please, let me go! Please!"

"No, no." He scoffed. "I'm never letting you go." Evelyn tried to move away, but she seemed to have no strength compared to him. "Not now, not never."

Rabastan finished those words by pressing a kiss on her lips. Every time, he had kissed her, Evelyn remembered, feeling like she could melt. This time, she felt nauseous, especially when she couldn't push him off her.

"Petrificus Totalus."

As soon as that spell was uttered, Evelyn saw a flashing light hit Rabastan on the side. He immediately dropped to the floor, his body frozen in place.

She backed against the wall as she stared down at him. It took a bit of time to process that he couldn't hurt her anymore. It took, even more, to realize that someone had saved her. Someone had shown up to save her. so, she turned her head to see who it was.

Her body relaxed when she saw who saved her. It was Remus.

Remus had saved her.

"Lynn."

Evelyn looked away from the night sky when she heard Remus call her name. Her eyes landed on him and saw that he was extending a chocolate bar to her.

"Here." She didn't move her hand to take it. "It improves your mood."

The two of them were sitting on an alcove on the seventh floor. After what happened with Rabastan, Remus had taken her here to calm down. She didn't know how long they were here. She only knew that her mood hadn't improved at all. Only the shock had worn off.

"I think that only applies to dark chocolate," Evelyn told him She could see clearly that Remus was offering a milk chocolate bar.

Remus shrugged. "I don't like dark chocolate." He admitted. "Take it."

Evelyn took it and bit on it. While it didn't improve her mood, it did satisfy her hunger.

"Do you want to talk about what happened?"

She gulped down before nodding with hesitation.

He raised an eyebrow. "I didn't expect you to say yes. Most people say no at first."

Evelyn bit the chocolate again. "I don't have anyone else to talk to in Hogwarts." She had Elena, but because of the nature of their relationship, she couldn't reach out to her cousin. She had to wait for them to run into a deserted corridor or an empty bathroom.

"I think your friends would love to hear you talk about this."

Evelyn shook her head. "No, they wouldn't. I chose him over them." She informed him. His eyebrows rose so high that they met his hairline. "They warned me. They warned me so much about it. I was too stupid to listen." She winced at her words. "No, I had too much pride to listen." She corrected herself. "Forgiving me for what I did wouldn't be easy."

Truth be told, Evelyn didn't want their forgiveness. Not after they were pretending she didn't exist and not after Christina wrote that letter and everyone was silent about it.

"They'll forgive you." Remus insisted.

Evelyn's ear perked up. She remembered that Remus was in a similar situation as her friends. He wasn't talking to Sirius because his friends had done something to him. She guessed that he was talking from experience.

"Like you forgave Sirius?"

Remus twitched his jaw. "I didn't forgive Sirius."

"Then how do you know my friends will forgive me?"

"Because I don't think you had full control over your decision." Remus pointed out.

He was right, but Remus didn't know half of the things Evelyn did to her friends. So, she decided to tell him.

"I lied to them too." She admitted. "About so many things. I've been lying to them since I stepped in this school." Even if Evelyn could get past what her friends did to her, she couldn't get past what she did to them. "Is that as bad as what Sirius did?"

Remus furrowed his eyebrows. "You don't know what he did. If you would know, you'd have a totally different opinion."

"What did he do, Remus?" She found herself asking. "What did he do so bad to break the unbreakable bonds of you for? To make you so unforgiving to him?" She tried to think about it, but her mind didn't work as fast as it usually did. She blamed what happened with Rabastan. "What did he do that was so bad?"

Out of a sudden, Remus' warm green eyes turned much colder. When he spoke, his voice was just as cold.

"Because of him..." He trailed off as he looked at the moon in the sky. "Because of him, I could have killed Snape."

Sorry for the long wait. Life has been messy and uni is killing me. I'm in the middle of exams right now but managed to write this chapter. Hopefully, I can manage to write one next week. After July 9th, I'm hoping to update more regularly.

Finally, it has happened. Evelyn ended her relationship with Rabastan. It was very hard, especially with how much Rabastan has manipulated her at this point and then of course, what he did to her by the end, but she managed to end it when Remus came into the rescue. The chapter was kinda hard to write as I wanted to portray Evelyn being torn as best as I could. I tried to show that she wanted to end the relationship while at the same, having difficulty because of the control he has for her and the love Evelyn has for him.

Guest your fan: I'm glad that you enjoyed this chapter. I think you will enjoy this chapter as Evelyn finally ended things with him. As for her friends, it will take a lot longer. Evelyn has a lot on her plate and honestly, she needs to realize some things when it comes to her friends.

Next up, Rumour Has It
