Bella looked up at Alice as she helped get her ready for her special day, she could see the concentration in her eyes as she applied her makeup.

"Are we not going to talk about it?" Bella asked

"No, today is all about you and Edward." Alice stated "And done." She grinned taking a step back from her to look at her handywork and smiled.

"I know you are all worried about her, maybe we…"

"Bella do not finish that sentence. She made her choice. We all agreed that today is about you." Alice stated looking at her in the eyes. Bella pressed her lips together. Rosalie ended up entering the room to help with her hair as Bella watched her in the mirror as she did her hair. They changed the topic; she still could not believe that Rosalie was doing her hair. When her parents came into the room, she could see how her mother was holding back tears. When Alice stopped her hugging to protect her masterpiece and mentioned the drees the reality of the fact she was about to really get married hit. Her nightmare had been unpleasant, but it was clearly not going to become a reality not today.

As she was standing inside next to Charlie waiting for the music to start she couldn't help but worry, what if she fell over? What if she made a fool of herself? Her hand instinctively tightened around her fathers arm.

"Please don't let me fall." She whispered to him he looked at her and smiled.

"Never." He replied as the two of them started walking as the music started.

Things after that became sort of a blur as soon as she saw him, standing there at the end of the aisle. She didn't even have time to appreciate Alice's vision on the set up. All she could see was him and she smiled. Walking down the aisle, standing across from him, staring into his eyes as the ceremony went on. She said her lines at the right time, he said his and before she knew it they were kissing. That was when she woke out of her haze at the sound of clapping. Edward was smiling at her as he held her the two of them walked down the aisle together. It was as she walked down the aisle that she recognised faces of her friends and family. It wasn't until they reached the end of the aisle that she faltered. Alex was back away from the crowd, Bella had to admit the dress she was wearing she looked like a roman princess from legends. She gave them a small smile and a nod as Edward tensed at her presence before he moved on taking Bella in the other direction of Alex.

"When did she?" Bella asked but Edward shook his head.

"I don't know." He whispered but it was time for their reception, so he had no intention of asking.

Percy and Annabeth moved over to Alex, after being informed by Carlisle that she had left during the night had both Annabeth and Percy worried. They were confused and a little horrified when he asked them about how a burn could just appear on her arm but neither of them had answers for them. Percy had tried contacting Reyna or even Jason, but Iris did not respond, even Fleecy did not answer his prayers this did not help settle their nerves it made them worse. Percy was going to return to New York, but his mother and Annabeth stopped him only because Annabeth managed to get in contact with Chiron and he said he would look into it, had Percy agreeing to stay there for the wedding. He had to admit the Cullen's knew how to decorate, it felt like he had stepped into a movie. He felt underdressed in his tux (He agreed to the tux but refused the tie) compared to the Cullen's, they were all stunning, and when Bella came out he hitched his breath at the sight of her. When Edward and Bella now married walked down the aisle leading the way to the reception area did he notice that Seth was moving towards the trees.

"She's back." Percy almost shouted seeing who Seth was walking to. Annabeth and his mother followed his gaze to see Alex standing off to one side. Seth ran the last few steps and pulled her in for a hug lifting her off her feet in a small twirl.

"Percy." Sally tried to stop him from going seeming the two of them looked pretty close, Seth's head was pressed up against hers as if they were the only people here, but her son did not listen he wanted to know what was going on. He could feel it, something was wrong.

"Alex…" Percy stated now that he and Annabeth were closer to her; enough that she should be able to hear him. The others were making their way towards the reception. As Seth took a step back from her did Percy see her fully and he gasped, she could have been a goddess.

"Percy, Annabeth did you enjoy the wedding?" Alex asked them, giving them a radiant smile that it increased her beauty. This had him mentally comparing her to Apollo and even Artemis.

"Where were you?" Annabeth asked seeming Percy fumbled to make a sentence.

"I am not a big fan of crowds so I decided to stay back here. It was very touching." Alex stated

"Not what I meant. Where did you go? Esme…" Annabeth stopped seeming Esme was now standing in front of her pulling Alex into a hug then taking a small step to assess her for any injuries.

"Esme, you and Alice have out done yourself. It was a very lovely ceremony." Alex stated

"How long have you been here?" Esme asked a little surprised, she had planned on berating her for leaving but in all honesty she was relieved to see her return.

"I came as Bella was walking down the aisle."

"How did you get back?" Esme asked seeming she did not hear, smell or see the Pegasus.

"I landed in a clearing some way from the house, did not want to cause a commotion." Alex explained. "hence the dress, I did not know what would be appropriate for this." She stopped and looked down "Is it too much?" she asked looking up at Esme

"You look beautiful." Esme replied but could not help but look at the metal arm bands still on her arms.

"I am sure you have many questions, but can we leave it for tonight, after all it is meant to be a party."

"Will we actually get answers?" Percy asked

"After the party, I need to fill you in on some stuff, but it is something that can wait. Percy I am sure you owe Annabeth a dance." She stated taking hold of Seth's hand. "I think your mum is wanting to congratulate the happy couple with Billy, you should go with them. I will meet you at your table." Alex told him, he looked at her worried that she might leave again if he wasn't near her. "Don't worry Esme won't let me leave, let alone Percy." Alex smiled reassuringly at him and Percy could definitely see Apollo's resemblance in that moment.

"I just need to know one thing." Esme told her before they walked through the crowd Alex did not say anything but indicated for her to continue. "Are you happy here?" Esme asked making Alex freeze of all the things Esme could have asked this was not something she had expected.

"Right now? Who could not be happy?" Alex replied at this Esme's eyes flashed in pain, Alex sighed she knew that was not what Esme had meant. "My happiness is irrelevant. I am contempt." Alex replied before Esme could protest. "I told you that when you asked to foster me that this could not be permanent." Alex stated even if she wanted it she knew that this life was something she could not have, Esme would have sworn she saw a look in her eyes that her thinking that maybe she did want it. She didn't say anything though instead, she told them that the reception would be starting at that they should head over there now.

As Alex danced with Seth she could feel the eyes on her, she had met the gaze of the other members of her foster family but other than a quick word with Carlisle none of the others spoke to her. Right now though she did not mind she was losing herself in the music and enjoying this time with Seth, after all her painful reminder was that this life would be coming to an end soon.
