Bella and Edward had left, the party was over only Annabeth and Percy remained. Alex was a little disappointed that Seth had left with his pack after Jacob arrived, but she had bigger things to worry about as those in the room all looked at her expectantly.

"Where did you go?" Carlisle asked

"First off, I want to apologise for my behaviour before I left, I was a little unsettled from the message I was given and I took it out on you, for that I apologise." Alex stated the way she was speaking made Percy frown it was too formal.

"What message was that?" Jasper asked seeming no one else was.

"Percy, Annabeth do you remember when I told you I belong to legion one?" she asked confusing the Cullen's. Percy and Annabeth slowly nodded.

"That was a lie, I was told to tell if I was ever asked that question. Honestly I do not belong to any one legion."

"You belong to Lupa who watches over all the legions." Annabeth stated this made Alex nod.

"Yes, she does not directly intervene though, she watches over as they take their own path. There are occasions though when she will. If a legion is on the brink of being wiped out, she will send a centurion."

"Centurions are lone soldiers that fight for the legions in ancient times." Carlisle stated

"Yes, so the legends say. One thing the legends don't say is how. Centurions are blessed by Lupa to protect Rome in those days today they are to stand watch over New Rome."

"How many centurions are there? I did not see any when I was there." Percy stated

"You wouldn't have, if you ask anyone in the legions, they'd say they are legends. That was the old way."

"You're a centurion, Jason and Frank did not know you." Annabeth stated remembering their confusion when Reyna suggested her in the first place.

"Not exactly, Stan the boy that shot me. Do you remember what he called me?"

"Slayer." Alice stated again Alex gave a single nod as she looked around those in the room.

"Centurion or Slayer both names others have called me but neither one quite correct. Lupa…when she chose me…made me what I am now…my soul…" she whispered and closed her eyes. "I belong to the gods now. Legion 7 was in danger, enough for her to send me. She gave me an order." Alex rubbed her arm, the others noticed that was where the burn was. "The number seven appeared meant they were in grave danger. If it turned black I would be too late." Alex stated as she took off the arm band revealing her bare skin, sure it still had the burn that had been there before the burn the one she got for disobeying orders. This reminded Carlisle he wanted to ask about that and that conversation he heard so long ago.

"The seven is gone." Esme stated moving in closer to look at her arm.

"I made it in time." Alex replied "Because I did I was allowed to return here."

"Allowed?" Carlisle asked noting the tone she was using at this Alex turned to look at him.

"I am not normal, this life…even if you are vampires its normal. I am to protect the legions." Alex stated a little robotically.

"Legions are soldiers correct?" Carlisle asked, sure he understood it back in the day when Rome had its armies but now.

"You are not yet 18, how are you a soldier?" Jasper asked surprising everyone Alice's hand tightened on his.

"Demigods are different, I am a demigod."

"And you? Are you soldiers too?" Esme asked looking at Annabeth and Percy.

"We are demigods. We learn to fight monsters, to protect ourselves." Annabeth replied

"But you are not branded." Esme stated, she had seen Percy's but Annabeth's arms were bare.

"I am Greek."

"Greek's don't have legions." Alex stated

"Then how do you have one? You said your father was Poseidon he is Greek."

"I spent some time in the Legions." Percy replied

"So you went to fight monsters? How many? Where?" Emmet asked getting them back on track mainly because he wanted to hear the details of the fight. Alex gave them a strained smile as she looked at him.

"You do not need to know the details on that." She replied

"But we want to." Percy stated grabbing her attention. "We could not contact you or Reyna. Even Jason." Percy added he wanted answers. Alex closed her eyes remembering the dream she once again looked around the Cullen's.

"The holiday is over." Alex all but whispered but the room was that quiet they all heard it.

"What does that mean?" Carlisle stated but tensed as he noticed both Annabeth and Percy seemed to pale at her implication.

"When?" Annabeth asked

"Who?" Percy asked at the same time.

"The Greeks have been on alert since three days ago, Reyna had sent Legion 7 out on a scouting mission… The fires are lit Percy." Alex stated making Percy tense, if that was true that meant another war was on its way.

"We would have been called back." Annabeth stated

"They are keeping you out of it." Alex replied making Annabeth and Percy frown.

"Why? We are leaders…" Percy began but stopped at seeing the look Alex was giving him. Annabeth let out a horrified gasp making him look at her.

"Not possible, you don't mean…" she cried out not able to finish it, she did not want to hear the answer trying to push back the thought, to deny the possibility.

"Annabeth?" Percy asked taking a step closer to her and as she met his eyes he saw them cloud over as she was having a flashback. Her breathing hitched.

"Per…" She couldn't finish his name as he instantly pulled her into his arms.

"Shh, we are not there, we are out, we are safe." He stated muttering reassurances into her hair only for the hairs on the back of his neck to stand up as realisation dawned on him, he finally caught up to what Annabeth was thinking and turned his head to look at Alex hoping that she would tell him they were wrong. But the look on her face was all he needed to know and he let out a pained sob of his own.

"HE is waking." Alex confirmed
