In a world where the Saiyan were kept alive by Frieza, born with unlimited potential and uncontrollable rage, whether he likes it or not Son Gohan is the only one able to change the world. For better or worse, that remains to be seen.

This is my first fic, it is inspired by MasakoX's what if Gohan was the legendary Super Saiyan and many other fanfictions!

Chapter 1:

Birth

Frieza was a fool. Cooler knew that since the beginning, but never would he have suspected that he was an idiot! He certainly did not care about the Saiyan, but he couldn't deny that they played an important part in their father's empire.

His little brother seemed unaware of that; if he did, he would have never thought about eradicating those barbarous warriors. "And why would you destroy fifty percent of your army on a whim, Frieza?"

That idiot was about to destroy all of that for nothing! Cooler had his interest in the Saiyan, and he wouldn't let this capricious brother mess with his plans.

The Cold brothers had a fair share of history together. Cooler did not hate his brother, but he certainly disliked him. Frieza was a brat, there was no denying in that, a brat with incredible power but still one nevertheless.

Frieza bit his lips in annoyance. He wished Cooler was here in person, he wouldn't have hesitated to blast him. For now, his dark gaze remained set on his older brother. "Those pests do not deserve to live, regardless of what they represent for the empire. Those Saiyans cannot be controlled. It won't take long until one idiot attempt to rebel. I am doing us a favor by ending them before they become a..."

Frieza realized his mistake far too late, he stopped mid-sentence. He wouldn't give Cooler satisfaction to believe that he feared those monkeys! He was only cautious. "And so what, Frieza? You wield more than enough strength to destroy them if they dare to rebel."

He wouldn't outright voice out that if the Saiyans dared a rebellion, it would only be due to Frieza's incompetence. If he said that, the idiot wouldn't listen anymore.

However, it hadn't taken long for Cooler to realize something. The Saiyans were not the only ones within the empire capable of a rebellion, but Frieza never truly bothered with them. They were too weak, and although those barbarous warriors were stronger, it wasn't by an impressive amount.

"Could it be that you fear them?" The thought made Cooler snicker. He didn't think that his brother would fear those monkeys! Sure, they were warriors, but their strength couldn't compare to them, even in their Oozaru state.

Frieza's eyes narrowed in surprise. He wanted to kill his brother right now! How could he believe that he, the emperor of the universe, could fear some barbaric monkeys?!

Frieza almost spat. "Me? Fear those monkeys? Absurd! Super Saiyan or not, they are nothing."

Super Saiyan? Cooler had never heard of the term before. It sparked his interest.

Cooler's crimson eyes leered at his brother, smirking. "Then let the monkeys live, Frieza. Kill them, and the empire loses a great asset, and you'll only prove me right."

And he knew that his brother hated being wrong. He was arrogant and prideful, and that made it easy for Cooler to manipulate him.

Frieza seemed to hesitate for a few seconds, but ultimately, he wouldn't prove his brother's theory correct. He feared no monkeys, and he would make sure that Cooler was made aware of that!

"Lord Frieza does not fear any monkeys! They'll be allowed to live, Cooler. " However, he knew him. His older brother did nothing without a prior agenda. Frieza wouldn't admit it, but he was smart. Maybe smarter than him.

However, he was no idiot, "But no Saiyan will be allowed within that little army of yours. If I happen to see one under your possession, this is war. " and right now, Frieza knew that he was superior to Cooler in strength.

It greatly annoyed the eldest child of Cold. He had been caught, but it did not mean that it was over. His brother was stronger. However, he was more patient and smarter at that!. Cooler nodded in response. "I am not interested in them." Frieza could be allowed to believe that for now.

The monkeys would be his, and he would never figure that out.

"Then our meeting shall end here." There was no need for a goodbye between the brothers. Cooler's projection disappeared as Frieza's eyes fell on Planet Vegeta.

For now, you'll live.

But once given a proper reason. He wouldn't hesitate to end them.

Unknown location

"How did it go?" Salza said. Being the captain of his armored squadron and one of his most loyal subordinates, he trusted the man with this information.

"The Saiyans will not be destroyed, I convinced Frieza."

Salza didn't understand why. The Saiyans were not particularly strong, at least in comparison to them.

"I believe that he fears them, or at least fear that Super Saiyan, whatever this is." He wasn't aware of the Super Saiyan legend, but he'd make sure to learn about it.

Soon enough, Cooler would understand his brother's fear.

"Are you sure about doing that, Bardock?" Gine, the wife of the low-class Bardock said. She was only a low-class, and not even a fighter at that, but she was worried. Not only about their son, Kakarot but about Bardock as well.

Bardock hadn't taken long to voice his concern about Frieza. Bardock believed that the emperor was up to nothing good, all Saiyans were somehow summoned to Planet Vegeta, and he doubted that it was to reward their effort. "There is no other choice, Gine."

He couldn't have cared about his son before, but all of those battles allowed him to see reason; in the end, his family came before anything, and he would make sure that Kakarot would survive.

If it wasn't Frieza, it would be his people. Bardock would do anything for his son to survive and live a happy life.

With a heavy sigh, the warrior placed the pod down before his woman hurried over it, touching the pod's windows with her soft hands. She was worried, and unlike him, Gine had no problem expressing those emotions, a part of her wanted to cry but she didn't want her son to see this. That wasn't usual for a Saiyan, but Bardock did not care.

He genuinely fell in love with her. "Bardock has just lost his mind! We'll come back to retrieve you. " Her son's hands moved in the direction of the window as if he was trying to reach out for her. She wanted to break it and hug him, but she had to hold herself.

It took everything in Bardock's power to not tell her that it wouldn't be wise to retrieve their son. "Kakarot listen. No matter what, you must survive." He knew that Kakarot had it in him. He was born a weakling like him, but now Bardock was one of the strongest Saiyans. Their destiny wasn't set in stone.

"We'll meet again!" Gine said with teary eyes.

Bardock smiled for a moment. It was also that weakness that would allow Kakarot to go unnoticed. Kakarot shouldn't be noticed, he was too weak. He was setting course to a peaceful planet called Earth. It was far enough for Frieza to not be interested in it.

"See you, Kakarot." The parents watched as the pod began to fly off, quick to disappear out of their sight before it went out of the planet's atmosphere.

Now that this was done, Bardock wondered what was next for his race.

King Vegeta, otherwise know as Vegeta III. It had been a surprise for him to learn that he was to meet Frieza, he was particularly known for his laziness and wouldn't have expected him to come in person. He genuinely hated the Emperor and wished to end his life, but he was no Super Saiyan.

However, my son... He smirked at the thought of his eldest. His strength was admirable, and it wouldn't take him long to surpass him. He fully expected him to be the Super Saiyan of legend.

His thoughts were interrupted by familiar steps. Before he stood none other than Frieza whose crimson eyes leered at him. King Vegeta clambered to his feet.

"Oh my! This place certainly hasn't changed, my dear King Vegeta."

Frieza observed the king for a moment, in his surprise, the fool had forgotten to bow. He wouldn't take this. The emperor's index pointed to the King as a red blast flared to life before it released itself, embedding into the King's left leg.

The pain forced Vegeta to kneel as he gritted his teeth. He had figured his mistake, but he wouldn't give Frieza the satisfaction to hear his scream. "I-I am sorry, my lord."

Still, that only amused Frieza who oddly enough, smiled. "I am pleased, it would seem like you still know your place, my dear King, although..."The Emperor smiled for a moment. "I will not tolerate any more insubordination." He said, looking evilly at the King.

"I have come to reward you, monkey. The Saiyan has been playing an important part in my army. You barbarous certainly do not waste time in cleaning planets, and strangely enough, you enjoy it! Of course, it isn't surprising. It is, after all, the only thing that you are good at. " Frieza snickered. Maybe, as long as those monkeys could fight, they would remain loyal to him.

No, once they believe they'll have the strength to beat me, they'll strike. However, the Saiyans were unaware of Frieza's strength. It was something that could play to his favor, he would allow them to think that they stood a chance before eventually, crushing all of their hopes. Afterward, Cooler wouldn't think that he feared them.

And he would enjoy every second of torturing them.

"The Frieza force is profiting from your presence." Sadly, Frieza couldn't deny it, it was true.

"A new generation of Scouters, this will be my reward! Not only they are capable of reading higher power levels, but all information will be directly transferred to my database. Simply put, my dear King, nothing will escape my grasp. " He didn't need to add that if they disabled their Scouters without authorization, they'd be punished.

"I am grateful for that, my lord." The only thing that he felt grateful about was the increased capability of those Scouters although, it wasn't anything new. King Vegeta heard that some soldiers within Frieza's army already had those.

The only problem was that Frieza would now listen to their conversation. That guy wouldn't hesitate. Deep down, King Vegeta believed that it was because he feared them! He feared what the Saiyan race could become.

And you are right to fear us, Frieza. The Saiyan will retaliate, and I'll make sure you pay for those years of injustice.

King Vegeta was excited just thinking about it.

Earth, years later, Age 756.

Kakarot now know as Son Goku. It was after a head injury that the once harsh and vicious Kakarot was released of the destructive nature of the Saiyan, he became one if not the greatest defenders of Earth!

His adventure started with a young girl called Bulma, with her help, they began to search for mystical objects known as the Dragon balls. They were capable of granting any wish! Of course, Goku's adventure hadn't ended with the search for the Dragon balls, rather it had just begun!

The warrior was able to defeat the powerful Red Ribbon Army, the devious Taopaipai, and the mighty King Piccolo as well as his reincarnation, Piccolo jr!

It was after his fight with the Daimao's reincarnation that he and Chichi, a girl he had met in his adventure married.

As a boy, he had foolishly thought that marriage was food. It was for that reason that Goku had been eager for it. Did it mean that he regretted his decision? No. He loved Chichi and would do anything to protect her.

Not only that, but their son was about to be born. He couldn't help Chichi with the baby. It was the Ox-king that was helping with the delivery as well as a few friends of his. Goku wished that he could help, but he figured that it wouldn't be his thing. Oddly enough, Chichi's energy was decreasing by the seconds.

Sweat trickled down Goku's forehead before he heard familiar footsteps, the Ox-king stepped in hurry toward him, breathing heavily. "G-Goku!"

"C-Chichi... She is in danger, at this rate, she won't make it." For whatever reason, the baby was making it particularly difficult. Ox-king had trained under Master Roshi, and although he wasn't as impressive as Goku, he knew that this child would be strong.

"W-What?" It was rare, but Goku was genuinely terrified. He didn't want to lose Chichi! He was beginning to panic, but there was still something that could be done."A senzu. She'll need a senzu."

"I'll go get one!" Son Goku did not waste any time. The warrior mustered his energy before he began to fly off toward Korin's tower. Why was Gohan's birth, so difficult on Chichi?

He didn't know, and he figured that he may not be smart enough to figure out either. Still, Goku hurried toward the tower. It was decently far away, but he was fast.

Upon arrival, Son Goku landed near, the wise white cat knows as Korin. "Hello Goku, great to see you again after so long." It felt great to see Korin, he had been a master for Goku and was one of the reasons that he had gone that far.

However, Goku didn't have the luxury of time. "Sorry Korin, gotta make that quick! Chichi is in danger due to Gohan's birth. I'll need a senzu."

Korin nodded. He didn't waste time to grab a senzu that he handed to Goku. "Gohan, it's your child's name, right?" The cat paused for a moment, the child's energy... It was making itself known, and it was overwhelming!

"That child will be powerful. I believe that he will bring great change. Raise him well. " Goku nodded. He didn't have time to think about what he said, for now. "See you, Korin!" Although he couldn't waste time and made his way toward his house.

After a moment, Goku arrived. He was quick to move toward Chichi, she was panting, but he could spot Gohan being held by his grandpa. She was trying to smile, but her energy was fading, she didn't know if she'd be able to continue living.

However, her negative thoughts were put away at the sight of Goku. "Hey Chichi. Don't worry, I got ya. I'm not letting you die. " She slowly nodded before Goku feed her the senzu.

Instantly, she felt much better.

The senzu's magic was always impressive for Goku, and the fact that it had saved his wife made him eternally grateful for their existence. Goku tilted his head toward Gohan, taking a second to sense his energy.

Woah! His energy, it's so massive.

His son's energy was more powerful than his and by a significant amount! Even more impressive, as he began to cry, it was increasing. Chichi noticed Goku's awe and afterward eyed her child. "You should hold him, Goku."

Earth's hero nodded. Ox-King handed the child to Goku, he wished that he could hold his grandson forever, but his father would have to do it too.

Holding his child, Goku's eyes stared at his son's. Gohan's cry began to stop as if he was recognizing his father's arms. "H-Hey kid. I'm Goku..." He felt a bit shy, he wasn't used to that father thing at all!

"I'm your father." But he was certain that he'd like it. Goku's signature grin appeared, and his son began to chuckle.

Yeah, that's right Gohan! I'm your father. Regardless of how powerful Gohan was, he would do anything to protect his son.

Goku recalled Korin's words about Gohan, and he was feeling like it as well.

Gohan would bring great change, would it be for the better or worse? That remains to be seen.
