Kadar and Krillin arrived back at the small island, and proceeded to walk towards the pink house.
Krillin stretched his arms out, and said, "Well, that was a nice little hangout!"
Kadar nodded in agreement, "It was kinda cool getting to see how Kakarot was doing."
"Yeah. Although the fact that he's actually getting a job...feels a little weird to me."
Kadar questioned, "Why's that?"
Krillin shrugged and replied, "I dunno. To me, Goku's never really been the kind of guy that works. He's always been the guy that helps out others, and trains a lot, and always searches for a new challenge. Y'know, that kinda stuff. I never really imagined that he'd be actually...working."
"Well, we can't help him. It's not my problem, and it's not your problem either.", said Kadar, who casually folded her arms behind her head afterwards.
Krillin sighed, "Yeah, I guess..."
The bald man then opened the door, and both he and Kadar walked inside.
They saw Good Launch happily chatting with Master Roshi, who had a few bandages on the back of his head. The machine gun that Bad Launch cleaned out earlier was now resting near the door, along with a bunch of bullets, and other machine guns.
Krillin spoke up, "Hey, guys."
Good Launch happily said, "Hi Krillin!"
He looked over at Roshi, and asked, "What happened to you?"
"Eh...I got shot at by the other Launch earlier.", replied the old man, "Anyways, where'd you guys go? Last time I saw you two, you were having a energy sensing session."
Krillin responded, "Well, we flew over to Mount Paozu, and we hung out at Goku's house for most of the day."
Roshi smiled, "That sounds wonderful! How's he doing back at home?"
As Krillin explained how Kakarot was doing, Kadar decided to quit standing around, and sat herself down next to Good Launch.
The blue haired woman smiled, "Hi there!"
Kadar said, "Hey."
"How's it going?"
"Fine, I guess."
"Master Roshi told me that you haven't trained at all today. Is everything alright?"
"Everything's fine.", Kadar insisted, "I just wasn't interested in training today."
Good Launch's eyes widened in shock, "But, you're usually interested in training! Was it something I put in my cooking that made you act so different?"
Kadar sputtered, "Wha...I...N-No!"
She sighed, and asked, "Why the heck do you even care about that?"
"I guess I was just curious.", replied Good Launch.
Kadar questioned, "But why, though? Why were you curious?"
"I was just concerned for your well-being."
"See, that's the thing! Why do you act so nice to me?! I am the dreaded monster that killed your beloved Ten, or whatever that guy's name was!"
The Saiyan assumed that since Chi-Chi, Bad Launch, and especially that other blue haired woman all held grudges against her, it would only make sense that this woman would also hold some sort of grudge. But...she didn't.
Good Launch let out a deep sigh, and smiled.
She responded, "I know. But I am a much more kinder person, and far more open-minded than most. And I know that we can still revive everyone with the Dragon Balls in a year, so I won't hold any sort of grudge against you. At least, I won't."
"Yeah. The blonde you already made it loud and clear.", said Kadar, who smirked.
The two of them chuckled afterwards.
"You guys doing alright?", asked Master Roshi. He and Krillin had stopped their conversation, and were now curious as to why Kadar and Good Launch were laughing.
Kadar waved a dismissive hand, and said, "It's nothing. We're chatting about random crap."
Master Roshi nodded, "Ah. Well, okay then."
The two martial artists then resumed their conversation, and Kadar and Good Launch started chatting idly as well.
Author's Note:
Hey guys, it's me, Story Nado.
Wow. I've gotten terrible at keeping up this schedule.
I promised you all that I would get this chapter out by 'next week', but it's been several weeks since the last chapter!
Don't worry, nothing major happened to me. It was just really, really, REALLY hard writing this chapter. I just wanted to make a nice, small, transitional scene before the story dives right into The World's Strongest.
But it was just SO difficult coming up with something that was actually interesting, and coherent.
I feel like it was that, combined with the stress of trying to get this out in a week, COMBINED WITH the addition of working on my new DB fanfic, which caused this chapter to be held back.
Because of these setbacks, I'm going to discard this self imposed schedule, and just write DBK at my own pace. I think it'll be better for me, because I feel that if I continue in this manner, I'll just end up burning myself out.
So, with all that said, I hope you guys enjoyed this small chapter! Sorry that it was so short!
I guess I'll see you all in a while! Take care!
