The two Saiyans arrived at a massive, technologically-advanced wall.
They started to fly upwards, and as they did so, Kadar commented, "You know, that yellow creature's power reminds me of some giant beast I encountered on a mission one time. This was back when I was little."
Kakarot raised an eyebrow, "Really? Who was that guy like?"
Kadar replied, "Oh, he was also pretty elastic, and rather tough to beat at first. Thankfully, I eventually decided to just blast his entire head off."
Kakarot nodded, "Mmm."
Kadar then questioned, "Speaking of which, why the heck did you let that big guy get the upper hand on you?! You know, back when he caught you off guard in that large room with all the spikes?!"
Kakarot shrugged, "I honestly have no idea. I think it might be because I haven't faced an opponent like him in years."
Kadar raised an eyebrow, "Wait, when was the last time you faced off against such an opponent?"
Kakarot replied, "Back when I was a little kid."
Kadar blinked and said, "You too?"
"Yeah!", exclaimed Kakarot, "Man, what a weird coincidence!"
Kadar nodded, "Yeah..."
The pair soon arrived in a dark room, where the only source of light was coming from a spherical prison cell.
And that prison cell contained a certain blue-haired woman...
"BULMA!", shouted Kakarot. The orange-clad Saiyan ran up to the woman's prison cell.
"Kakarot, wait!", exclaimed Kadar, who ran after him, "Something doesn't feel right aboat—"
She was interrupted when Kakarot leaped out to the woman's cell. He was instantly electrocuted, sending him back down to the ground.
"...this room.", the female Saiyan said with a sigh.
Bulma spoke up, "Wait a minute, Goku brought you along?!"
Kadar glared at the woman, "No, I chose to come along. I just wanted to save Baldie, and the others, alright?"
Bulma snapped, "Oh, so NOW you suddenly care about this situation?!"
Kadar stated, "Yes! Yes I do!"
The woman scoffed and angrily said, "Whatever! Just stay away from me, will ya?!"
Kadar rolled her eyes, and sighed.
The female Saiyan looked over at Kakarot, who was already back up to his feet.
She whispered to him, "Your friend here is rather annoying..."
Kakarot whispered back, "She's really sweet once you get to know her, though. Well, um, most of the time."
"I HEARD THAT, GOKU!", shouted Bulma, making Kakarot flinch with fear.
Suddenly, a massive screen flashed on from behind, showcasing a live camera feed of the two Saiyans. Alongside this was a familiar voice saying, "Glad you could come, strongest man in the world."
This voice belonged to none other than that old gray skinned person from earlier, who stood on a platform, a few feet away from the blue haired woman.
Kakarot clenched his fist and demanded, "Who are you?! Where's Master Roshi and the others?!"
"Master Roshi is sleeping quietly...", stated the man, "I will be altering him soon, just like those other three."
Kadar gritted her teeth, "You're not gonna get Baldie! Not while we're here!"
The gray man smirked in response.
At that point, something else emerged from the shadows. It looked like a giant blue brain, stationed in some sort of giant water tank.
The two Saiyans' eyes widened in shock at this reveal.
"Wh-What is that?", questioned Kakarot.
Bulma exclaimed, "That's the brain of Dr. Wheelo, the devilish scientist who plotted to conquer the world fifty years ago with his mad scientific power!"
The gray skinned man snapped, "How rude of you to call the greatest mind of the century a devilish scientist!"
"You are devils, for carrying out your own selfish research just because you're the one who say you can!", said the blue haired woman.
"What?!", exclaimed the gray skinned man.
Bulma glared at the giant brain, "How can you go on living, even taking on that form?! You should have perished a long time ago!"
Kakarot wondered aloud, "Can you really go on living as just a brain?"
"We have been able to accomplish it!", triumphantly stated the gray skinned man, "For us to enjoy outright freedom in this world, we must alter all worthless humans and make you kneel before Dr. Wheelo. In order for us to realize this ideal world, and with our ambitions only half fulfilled, I arranged for the fallen Dr. Wheelo's brain to at least go on living. It was our dream that one day, Dr. Wheelo and I would rule the world..."
As the gray-skinned man continued to explain, Kadar let out a groan, and turned to Kakarot.
She whispered, "This speech is getting really boring. Can't we just kill these guys already?"
Kakarot whispered back, "Sorry Kadar, but we're gonna have to wait for a bit. We still got to learn about where they're holding the others."
Kadar grumbled and angrily folded her arms, "Fine."
The female Saiyan then sensed something nearby. Something...familiar...
Kadar thought, "Huh. So there you are..."
"...And now, the time of our vengeance has arrived!"
Dr. Wheelo then spoke up, "Son Goku, I want your body, the strongest one in the world."
Kakarot exclaimed, "You what?!"
Bulma angrily said, "Dr. Wheelo plans to take over your body, Goku!"
The gray-skinned man added, "It'll be like swapping your low-grade brain for Dr. Wheelo's high-grade brain."
Kakarot spat, "Don't be ridiculous! My brain and body belong to me!"
Kadar let out an aggravated sigh, and pushed Kakarot out of the way, much to his shock.
She glared at the two evil scientists, and shouted, "THAT'S IT! I'M KILLING YOU BOTH! I DON'T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT WAITING ANYMORE!"
She held her arms close to her chest, and began charging ki all throughout her body. As she did so, Kakarot exclaimed, "No, wait! Kadar! Don't do it yet! We still need to find out—"
"DIE, WEAKLINGS!"
The female Saiyan unleashed a powerful explosive wave, completely vaporizing Dr. Wheelo, his assistant, as well as blowing up the entire base.
As the debris settled, Kadar, Kakarot, and a now freed Bulma were standing in the middle of a massive white crater.
Kakarot nervously questioned, "K-Kadar...what have you done?!"
"Well, I did what needed to be done.", proudly stated Kadar, who folded her arms.
Bulma growled, "You little idiot! You do realize you could have killed the others, right?!"
"But I didn't.", said Kadar with a smirk, "Kakarot, try sensing their energies."
Kakarot, whilst unsure at what Kadar was getting at, nodded in compliance, and began sensing the area.
His eyes widened upon sensing a few familiar energies nearby. He sprinted past Kadar, and fired out a ki blast towards the ground, creating a big hole.
Suddenly, the Namekian floated out of the hole, carrying an unconscious Roshi and Krillin in his arms.
"Piccolo!", called out Kakarot.
"Hey, Goku.", stated the Namekian.
He looked around the surroundings and asked, "What happened here?"
Kakarot awkwardly replied, "Well, uh, Kadar kinda blew up the whole place..."
The Namekian stated, "Makes sense."
Kakarot then asked, "Are you alright?"
The Namekian nodded and said, "The three of us were trapped in a big prison cell. I was the only one conscious the entire time."
Kakarot said, "Then, we all better head over to Korin's. I'll grab Krillin, and Piccolo, you—"
The Namekian interrupted, "More like you're heading to Korin's. I'm leaving."
He laid Krillin and Roshi down on the ground, and stated, "Bye."
The Namekian then turned his back to the group, and blasted off into the sky.
Kakarot awkwardly said, "U-Um, okay then! Looks like we're gonna have to carry these guys ourselves, Kadar."
Kadar nodded, "Right."
The two of them proceeded to grab Roshi and Krillin. Kadar hoisted Krillin on her back, while Kakarot carried Roshi in his arms.
Kakarot looked up at the sky, and shouted out, "NIMBUS!"
The familiar golden cloud instantly arrived, and landed near the group.
Kakarot hopped onto the Flying Nimbus, and told it, "Take us to Korin's Tower."
Bulma quickly spoke up, "W-Wait, what about me?!"
Kakarot replied, "Um...I guess you can just latch onto my back."
Bulma sighed, "Fine..."
She grabbed onto the Saiyan's shoulders tightly.
Kakarot then exclaimed, "Let's go!"
Kakarot and Bulma instantly took off into the sky, and Kadar followed them.
Author's Note:
Heey guys! I'm back! Sorry for the hiatus! I'm kinda busy with a new college semester at the moment.
I also deeply apologize for the rather rushed, anti-climactic end to this mini arc. I realized that there were no real physical stakes for both Goku or Kadar, so I ended up getting rather bored writing the arc midway through, and I just wanted to end this thing quickly so I could get back to the real story.
So, um, sorry about that!
Now, we have ONE more chapter for Arc 2, and it's gonna be a rather wholesome one. I also have a lot of things to say once we get to the end.
In the meantime, I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, and I'll see you all next time! Take care!
