Ruby walked into her room and threw her bag on her bed and sat down before falling back and hitting the pillow.
Her deck glowed as DMG made an appearance and Ruby turned towards her. This was starting to become normal for her to appear as it had been a few days since she beat Shadows and the dueling world was going crazy for this "Trickster".
"How was school mistress?" DMG asked as Ruby turned over. "Boring as usual! I hate that place!" She groaned as DMG laughed before floating over her. "If you're bored then why not a trip to VRAINS?" DMG asked hopefully as Ruby sighed.
"Nah." Same answer as always. "But why mistress? Why have a deck if you don't duel?" DMG asked as Ruby sat up.
She then looked up as she reached over and grabbed her deck from the duel disk. "She died 10 years ago… I never even got to know her that well…" She said as DMG looked at her.
"Yang got to meet Mom and got to understand her more but I never truly did. I have a few vague memories but…" Ruby trailed off as she looked down and clutched the deck.
"If this was her's… then I want to keep it." She said as DMG smiled before grabbing her head suddenly. "Mana! Are you ok?!" Ruby asked as she rushed over to DMG. Ruby had chosen to call her Mana because "Dark Magician Girl" was too much to say.
"It's fine." She said as she shook her head. "It's just that I felt something strange when you told me about your mother," DMG said as Ruby looked confused. "You alright?" She asked as the duel monster nodded.
Ruby then heard a knock at her door as DMG disappeared. She opened the door and saw Yang standing outside. "Oh hey, sis. What's up?" She asked as Yang shoved her phone in Ruby's face.
"Check it out, Rubes!" She said as Ruby grabbed the phone and noticed the website. "Yaaaaang! I told you I don't care about dueling." Ruby said, pouting as Yang shook her head. "Just trust me!" She said as Ruby's eye twitched. "That was not very inspiring.
She looked at the article and her eyes widened. "Dragon challenges Trickster." Was at the top as she looked at her sister. "Yep! I'm taking down Trickster!" Yang said as Ruby paled.
"You alright Rubes?" Yang asked as Ruby jumped. "Uhh yeah! A-are you sure? I hear Trickster's pretty good. I don't want you to get embarrassed." Ruby said, playfully ending her statement.
"As if! I'm gonna knock her flat!" Yang boasted before she walked out.
Ruby closed her door. Walked to her bed. Jumped on it. And screamed into her pillow.
"Not good…" DMG said having come out of the deck again. "Why?!" Ruby cried into the pillow before she picked up her head. "Why do I keep getting into this?" She asked as DMG stared at her.
"It seems you are just unlucky…" DMG said as Ruby slammed her head back into the pillow. "Well, are you gonna take the challenge?" DMG asked as Ruby turned over to look at her.
"Yeah… Can't escape it." She said as she picked herself up and looked up the match on her phone and found that Yang scheduled the challenge tomorrow.
"Well, that's great. Only a day until the match." Ruby said with a sigh as she put down her phone.
"I might as well get ready for tomorrow," Ruby said.
The next day Ruby was eating lunch on the roof with Jaune as he excitedly chirped on about the duel between Trickster and Shadows.
"It was awesome. She summoned that boss monster and threw all the Life Points back at Shadows. Shadows is one of the best yet she defeated her with almost no struggle!" Jaune cried as Ruby bit into her sandwich.
"I don't even remember what happened during that duel. I blacked out near the end… Come to think of it, I blacked out during the duel with Snow Angel too…" Ruby thought, wondering what the hell was going on in these duels.
"You excited Ruby?" Jaune said, snapping Ruby out of her thoughts. "Oh uh, what was it?" Ruby asked. "Dynamic challenged Trickster!" Jaune cried as Ruby looked down. "Yeah, that's my sis," Ruby said as she turned to see Jaune with sparkling eyes. "Your sister is Dynamic?!" Jaune cried as Ruby nodded, sweat dropping.
"You know your sister is undefeated?! She even beat Shadows once!" He fanboyed as Ruby shook her head with a smile. "Strange. That's normally something she'd brag about." Ruby said as Jaune's eyes didn't stop sparkling.
"She never beat Snow Angel though. Despite being a mystery I think Trickster has the bigger feats considering how strong Snow Angel is." Jaune said as he folded his arms.
"Still gonna be such a great duel!" He squealed as she pumped his fist. "I can't wait to watch it!" He cried with happiness. Ruby smiled at her friend before a question popped into her head.
"Hey, Jaune…" Ruby started as Jaune turned to her. "Why don't you duel yourself? Y'know, since you enjoy watching duels so much?" She asked and Jaune turned away. "Nah, I'm no good. I never win. I prefer to watch people who can actually duel play. Much more exciting." Jaune said as Ruby nodded. "I mean… you don't duel either Ruby. We're in the same boat." Jaune spoke.
Ruby perked up and spoke herself. "Yeah… Dueling isn't really my thing haha…" Ruby didn't want to let Jaune know that this mystery superstar duelist was sitting right next to him. Fanboying aside she didn't want anyone to know about who Trickster really was. Unless someone traced her login exactly to where she lived with her username… good thing Trickster was only her dueling name and her real login was unknown.
The bell rang as Jaune and Ruby sat up and threw away the remains of their lunches as Ruby continued to munch on her sandwich.
Ruby walked into her house and went to see that Yang had already entered her Vrains pod and was likely waiting for Ruby. She sighed before going down to the garage and entering the second one in the house.
"Deck set! Into The Vrains!" Ruby called as she was transported to Vrains.
Ruby walked around and caught a teleporter to the arena Yang had chosen.
When she arrived she noticed a large crowd gathered around as Yang sat in the middle. She was wearing a biker outfit consisting of a yellow leather riding jacket with black gloves and long black pants. She also wore yellow combat boots. Her avatar's hair was more or so the same as her usual hair but had a pink and blue highlight in it. Similar to Ruby's hair in color.
"Welcome Trickster. Figured you'd show." Yang said with a smirk as Ruby nodded. "Let's duel!" She said as Yang's eyes widened. "Why does that voice sound so familiar?" She thought before she stood up and threw down the same shield Weiss did in her duel with Ruby.
"No need for the spectators to get involved," Yang said as Ruby nodded.
"Let's Duel!" Both girls called as their duel disks activated.

"Turn end!" Yang said as Ruby looked at her confused. "She didn't set a trap? Looks like big sis got a bad hand!" Ruby thought as her turn began.

"Another one?" Ruby thought as she saw another similar monster appear. It was the same but this time held a sword and a shield and had a triangle head.

"Power, Speed, Instinct, Heart, Determination. All are virtues of might! And now I unveil the mightiest of warriors! Netriod Warrior!" Yang chanted as a white figure with rippling muscles and a gladiator's helmet and wore yellow armor.

"Now Strike down her soldier!" Yang cried as Ruby stared at the monster coming at her.
She snapped out of her stupor just in time to activate a trap. "I activate my Shadow Shield!" Ruby cried before the card shattered in her face.
Netriod Warrior rushed at Shadow Soldier as Ruby was bewildered. "What just happened?" She cried as Yang smirked.
"My Marathon Field also removes traps during the battle phase!" Yang said. "Oh and Netriod Warrior can double the effect of Field Spells and Battle damage!" Yang said as Ruby's eyes widened.
"How… how do I get out of this?!" Ruby thought before her eyes flashed red. "I activate-" Ruby was cut off as she grabbed her head. "What the hell was that?" She thought as her eyes flashed in and out of red before she covered her face and a small silver glow came from her eyes and when she looked up she saw Netriod Warrior's ATK rise.
Netriod Warrior 2300 - 4300
Netriod warrior destroyed Shadow Soldier and Ruby was sent flying away.
Trickster LP:

Ruby lifted herself up as she saw people cheering on Yang. She smiled despite the loss as she brought up the menu. "Congratulations Yang. I know you're gonna brag about this forever." Ruby said as she logged out.
Ruby jumped on her bed and pulled out her phone. The news of Trickster's defeat was everywhere but Ruby didn't pay attention as she put down her phone and held her head. "What was that?" She said as she remembered that weird feeling.
DMG appeared next to her and looked down. "Mistress… why didn't you use your Shadow Exchange trap? If you did you could've reversed the battle damage at her and won. Her spell would've been useless due to it being after the battle." She said as Ruby turned to her. "You could've come out and told me that Mana!" She cried.
"I tried but something was blocking me," DMG said as Ruby looked at her with confusion. "You know mistress… this isn't the first time. Your first duel I was forced back." She said as Ruby's eyes widened. She didn't remember that… so it must've been when she blacked out.
"What the hell is going on?" She thought.
YOOOOOOOOO what's good everybody it's ya boi Crash and I have finally updated after damn near a year. Still can't make a duel over 4 turns lmao but it is what it is.
