A/N: Thank you all for the amazing reviews. I am so happy you are enjoying what my little brain is conjuring. I keep forgetting to add that all characters belong to Shonda, I'm just playing in her sandbox. Also, there's a nod to Friends in this chapter. Again, not mine, just dipped my toe in the fountain (Get it? Hahaha.)
Finally some much awaited Calzona time. We are getting to the good part, just a few hurdles for the girls to cross first.
Sofia sat on a tall stool at the center island of the kitchen looking over the counter as her mama placed the bacon on a paper towel. She said it was to get the extra grease off, but wasn't bacon supposed to be extra greasy? She watched as piece after piece of floppy, droopy bacon was taken off the stove and crinkled her nose. "Mommy likes her bacon extra crispy." she offered, hoping her mama would leave some on to cook longer. Callie chuckled as she watched her little girl stare in contempt at the meat on the plate. "No, mommy likes her bacon chewy just like mama, you like your bacon extra crispy. Don't worry baby girl, I got you." She watched as her daughter's face dropped a little knowing she was caught in a lie. Picking up the plate of cooked bacon, she turned to put it in the microwave to stay warm and bent to the lower cabinet to pull out the waffle iron. Sitting it on the center island and plugging it in to heat it up, she then turned to another cabinet and pulled out the bright yellow bag of chocolate chips. Winking at her daughter, she asked, "I suppose mommy wants chocolate chips in her waffles too huh?" Callie watched as brown eyes lit up with excitement as she eyed the sweet treat then shifted to the bunch of bananas on the opposite counter and her shoulders hunched in defeat. Knowing she shouldn't push it, she lowered her head and mumbled, "No, mommy likes bananas in her waffles." Turning as if she were going to put the chocolate morsels away, the brunette laughed to herself. "Ya know, I happen to know that mommy likes chocolate chips and bananas in her waffles." She turned just in time to see her daughter's head snap up and a wide smile spread across her face. "I like chocolate and bananas in my waffles too!" she cheered loudly. Callie smiled and said, "Hmmm…imagine that." She knew all too well her daughter had inherited her mother's sweet tooth.
Callie pulled the last waffle from the iron and piled it on the platter with the others while Sofia set the table. As the little girl finished, the brunette smiled at the three places set at one end of the table. She knew without any direction Sofia would sit at the end with she and Arizona on either side. This seating arrangement started when Sofia was still in her highchair as both moms took turns feeding her so they could still eat their meal while it was hot. As she got older, she wanted to sit by both of them and they were so used to the arrangement, it just stayed that way. She knew her daughter didn't have many memories of the three of them together, but she was glad family meals was something she held onto. As she laid the platter in the center of the three plates, she realized this would be the first time she had used this table. She rarely had anyone come over and when it was just her, she either ate at the center island or in the living room in front of the tv which she knew was a horrible habit she had to break now that her daughter was home. Just as she turned to tell Sofia to come to the table while she went to get Arizona, her phone rang with the blonde's ringtone. Ignoring the phone, she went directly to her room instead.
Arizona awoke to searing pain shooting down her left leg all the way to her toes. The biggest problem with that not being the pain, but the fact that she didn't have toes on her left leg. She barely had a leg. Carefully pulling herself to a sitting position, she nearly cried out in agony. She was so focused on the move, her nerves about seeing Callie again, the anxiety of flying, then all the emotions that hit her as soon as she arrived that she forgot all about the swelling and phantom limb pain that was sure to come after a day on her feet, flying, and the nervous tension in her body. She cursed herself for not putting on her compression sleeve before she went to bed. But she was so exhausted, she fell asleep before her head hit the pillow. Pulling her covers back to look at her leg, tears sprang to her eyes as the sheet brushed against her heated and swollen limb. Dropping the cover back into place before she could even look, Arizona bit back yet another scream of pain. She wasn't sure she could even handle getting out of bed at this point so putting on her prosthetic was out of the question. Deciding to give it a try, she pushed her fists down on the bed and started to twist her body so she could sit on the edge of the bed. The daggers slicing through her leg and up her spine stopped her immediately. Sitting back against the bed, she closed her eyes and focused on her breathing and relaxing her body.
This was the part about losing her leg that sucked for her. It wasn't the pain; she could handle the pain. But on the rough days like this, she had to rely on someone else. Back in Seattle, she could call Alex or April or…anyone really, and they would put their doctor hat on, do what they had to do and move on. They may subtly watch her for a couple days, but they didn't hover or make a big deal of it. If she were at work, she could grab a random resident to fix her up and they wouldn't dare say anything to her or anyone else about it. The problem was, she wasn't in Seattle and the only person here to help her wasn't just anyone. This was Callie. This was the woman who did everything she could to try to save her leg, the woman she forced to make a promise they both knew she couldn't keep, the woman who took the blame and the brunt of her anger for years, the woman she destroyed because of this leg. Opening her eyes, she looked around her room and took in every detail once again. No this wasn't just anybody, this was Callie. This was the woman she married, the woman she shared a daughter with, the woman she shared a life and a home with, the woman who, based on her actions, wants to be that person again. This was Callie. This was her person. Without hesitation, she reached for her phone. Hearing the ring switch to voicemail, Arizona put the phone down and closed her eyes. She knew her family was awake because she heard them moving throughout the house. Callie must not have her phone on her. Trying to sit up once again, white hot pain shot through her entire body causing her to scream out in agony.
Just as Callie raised her hand to knock, she heard the heart wrenching cry from the other side of the door. Without another thought, she opened the door and rushed into the room. Her heart broke at the sight before her. Arizona sat on the bed frantically rubbing at the space where her knee should be and her body was shaking with her deep sobs. But what tore her apart was that beautiful face crumpled in pain and those ocean blue eyes pleading for relief as she whimpered, "Callie, it…it hurts…it hurts so bad. Help…please help me." Before she knew what was happening, her body propelled her forward and she slid into the right side of the bed gathering the smaller woman in her arms offering whatever comfort she could. She was slightly surprised when her ex-wife immediately curled into her, wrapped her arms tightly around her waist and sobbed harder. Running her hand over tousled blonde curls, she whispered, "Oh sweetie, it's okay. Shhh…shhhh…I got you. I'm here. I'll take care of you." Arizona buried her head into Callie's shoulder grateful for her comfort and strength. She reveled in the warmth of the powerful arms wrapped around her and allowed herself to be lulled by the steady beating of the heart just beneath her head. Callie wasn't sure how long they sat like that, but she wasn't going to complain. Every time she saw her wife in pain, she wanted to do just this. Hold her tight and sooth her soul. Feeling her ex-wife relax, Callie pulled back and looked into anguished blue eyes knowing without asking, "Phantom pain?" Seeing the slight nod, she only hesitated briefly before asking, "May I look at it?" Without responding, Arizona sat back and flinched as she lifted the sheet, looking at her leg for the first time herself.
Callie watched as Arizona pulled the sheet back revealing the angry red and swollen residual limb. Visually inspecting it, she was pleased to see there were no cuts or blisters from the socket. Before she even attempted to touch it, she went to the bathroom, pulled a small brown bottle out of the medicine cabinet, and filled the glass sitting by the sink with water. Going back into the bedroom, she handed the glass of water to Arizona and opened the small bottle of pills. Knowing her ex-wife hated taking drugs of any kind, especially opioids, she provided, "Prescription strength ibuprofen, for the swelling. I had it filled before I left work Friday." Arizona nodded and held out her hand for the pill. Looking down at the leg again, Callie couldn't hold back the grimace. She knew the other woman had to be in excruciating pain, but she seemed to be past the phantom episode. Just in case, she offered, "Do you need the mirror?" Arizona shook her head and replied, "No, it's gone now. You…you holding me helped me to calm down enough. Thank you." Not able to help herself, Callie wiggled her eyebrows and quipped, "Maybe that's a service I should offer at the clinic." Before she could stop the words from flying out of her mouth, Arizona shot back, "You damn well better not!" Hearing this and seeing the slightest hint of jealousy spark in those painfilled eyes, Callie's heart took another tumble. Reaching out, she tucked a piece of unruly blonde hair behind Arizona's ear and said, "Hmmm you're right, all those vets might get the wrong idea. I'll reserve it for the hot blonde surgeons." Arizona could swear the temperature just rose a few degrees. Tilting her head and squinting her eyes she asked, "Get a lot of those do ya?" Callie looked up as if she had to think about the answer and smirked as she said, "Do I need more than one?" Hearing this, Arizona felt her heart jump in her chest and she smiled her super magic smile making sure her dimples popped. "Good point." Callie nodded as if proving her point and returned her smile with her own mega-watt grin enjoying the playfulness and happy to see the blonde looked to be feeling less pain. Knowing her ex-wife wouldn't want to dwell on the pain and wanting to give the meds a little time to take effect, she offered, "That looks really angry and I don't want to touch it yet. Sof and I just finished making breakfast and were about to come wake you. How about we bring the party in here instead?" Grateful for the reprieve in both the flirting and the focus on her leg, Arizona asked sweetly, "Any chance there's coffee with that breakfast?" Laughing out loud now, Callie responded, "Geez, breakfast in bed and you want coffee too? Anything else princess?" Lifting her nose in the air and waving the back of her hand at the brunette, Arizona replied with a haughty, "That will be all, you are dismissed." Shaking her head and laughing, Callie turned and left the room.
Watching her ex-wife walk away, enjoying the slight sway of her hips in those short sleep shorts, Arizona felt a shiver run down her spine and shook her head in slight embarrassment. She may be in pain, but she knows a good ass when she sees it and Calliope Torres has one of the best. Sitting back on the bed and resting her head against the headboard Arizona realized not only had Callie helped with the pain in her leg, but she also helped relieve some of the ache in her heart. It felt so good to be held and comforted while she cried. This is what she wanted, what she craved right after the amputation. She knew her wife wanted it too. She could see the struggle in the way she looked at her, reached out then pulled back, cried when she thought Arizona couldn't hear her. But she didn't acknowledge it and she wouldn't allow it. In her mind, Callie cut off her leg and she'd be damned if she'd take comfort from the person who did this to her. But she didn't do it. Arizona knew that now. She should have known it then. She should have known that not only was her wife not callous enough to stand over her with a bone saw and cut off her leg, but no one in that hospital would have let her do it. It was unethical and just…cruel. She would hate herself for the rest of her life for the decisions she made during that time. She thought her ex-wife would too, but…just maybe they had both healed enough to finally get past this particular hurdle. If the little flirting they did in the midst of her pain episode wasn't a sign, she didn't know what was.
Within 15 minutes, Sofia came through the door carefully balancing a tray full of food saying, "Sorry we took so long mommy, we had to heat up the food." She was followed by Callie who held a small package under her arm as well as a second tray with cups of coffee, juice, syrup, and other toppings for the waffles. Arizona quickly relieved her daughter of the heavy tray and placed it on the table to her right. Callie sat on the left side of the bed and leaned into the blonde, asking, "Would you mind taking this and opening it for me? Sof, go ahead and get started, we will eat in a minute. I want to get mommy settled first." Sofia nodded her head, took her plate from the tray, and sat on the floor by her mama so she could watch. She loved watching both parents work and was even more interested because this could help her mommy. Arizona smiled at her daughter and took the package and opened it as Callie sat the tray on the bedside table and swapped a cup of coffee for the contents of the package. "Here, trade ya." Handing over the smooth blue material, Arizona said, "I already have several compression sleeves Callie and I'm not sure I can take it right now." The brunette nodded as she took the fabric and handed over the coffee. "This isn't a compression sleeve. It's a temperature controlled, nerve stimulating, pressure wrap." Taking a small remote from the box, Callie hit a couple buttons and passed the wrap back to the blonde. Arizona jumped as she felt the colder temperature along with the slight vibration. Pushing the buttons again, Callie took the wrap back and looked at the blonde, raising a brow in question. Lifting the blanket from her lap, Arizona said, "How does it work? Can you turn off the vibration for now?" Callie nodded and handed Arizona the remote. "I'll put it on then show you how it works okay?" Setting her coffee cup down for the moment, Arizona nodded and watched intently as Callie got to work on her leg. Her breath hitched as she felt the warm hands lift her residual limb. It didn't hurt as much as it did earlier, but the pain combined with the electricity she felt every time the brunette touched her startled her. Holding the limb with one hand, Callie laid the wrap down carefully being sure to center it so it would wrap evenly. She then put the limb down on the fabric and pulled both sides over her leg overlapping the material on top. "Does it feel okay?" Arizona nodded and asked, "How is it staying on?" Callie smiled at the interest the blonde was showing. "Dr. Robbins, are you suggesting I share all my secrets?" Blue eyes widened at that. "This…you created this?" Callie grinned smugly and nodded, "I did. It's been through all the trials and the patent is pending. I use it at the clinic with my patients. You're the first home-trial."
Arizona looked down at the lightweight material on her leg then back to the ortho surgeon and beamed at her. "Tell me more. I promise I won't share your secrets. I have a vested interest here." she teased as she lifted her shortened limb. Taking the remote from her once again, Callie scooted back against the headboard to sit next to her and show her how her invention worked. It took everything she had to ignore the heat radiating from the body next to her. Pointing to the top buttons, she explained, "This here is your temperature control, because the range in temperature from hot to cold is so vast and most people will want to misuse it, there is an automatic 10 minute timer and a safety timer that won't allow it to turn on again for 30 minutes. These buttons here control the amount of stimulation, and these last buttons adjust the pressure of the wrap. There's a cord tucked into the end pocket to hook it up to any USB charger. It stays on with magnets which allow for easy adjustment. I was thinking of using Velcro but…" Arizona scrunched up her nose, "Velcro is so not sexy." Callie chuckled knowing exactly what response she would get. Nodding her head, she replied, "Yeah, I heard that somewhere." The blonde beamed at her then took the remote and pushed a few buttons to adjust the temperature and pressure. She apparently found the right settings as she let out a moan of appreciation, closed her eyes and rested her head back on the headboard causing Callie to shift uncomfortably in her seat. Looking down at the sheer pleasure on Arizona's face, she suddenly popped up and walked to the other side of the bed making Arizona miss her warmth instantly and question what just happened. "Alright then, what do you say we eat some breakfast? I'm not sure these things will take another round of heating up."
Eating breakfast with Arizona Robbins again was both absolute heaven and pure unadulterated hell. Sitting in her home on a late Sunday morning sharing breakfast with her family is an absolute dream come true. Watching her ex-wife and daughter interact is something she always cherished. For someone who never wanted to be a mother, she took to it the minute she heard that tiny heartbeat and has been a protective mama bear ever since. As usual, the brunette felt a wave of guilt for ever saying otherwise. Shaking off those thoughts, Callie smiled as Sofia quickly took her place on the bed and chuckled at the look on her face when the blonde reached out and snatched a piece of her bacon. "Hey! Mama said you like chewy bacon. Eat your own." Arizona giggled and responded, "Mine's all gone." When she reached her hand out once more, Sofia quickly snatched the last piece of bacon off her plate and stuffed it into her mouth. Around a mouthful of food she mumbled, "Eat mama's then." Callie swallowed her bite of waffle trying not to choke on her laughter at the interaction. She looked up just in time to see the blonde reach her hand across the bed, slyly trying to steal some of her bacon. Callie quickly grabbed her plate and turned her back to the blonde saying, "Mama doesn't share food." Hearing the two behind her snicker, she proceeded to take another bite of her waffle when she heard it. "Calliope." That one word dripping with sugar and honey, spoken with that lilting tone, pronounced in the melodic way that only Arizona Robbins can say it. She knew then she was a goner, but she put up a good fight as she hunched over her plate and growled out, "Calliope doesn't share food either." It was silent for a minute or two, but she knew she hadn't won this quickly. Just as she was about to let down her guard, she heard the little huff behind her. She knew if she turned around, she would break. But god she wanted to turn around because she knew that she would see the most adorable pout an adult could pull off. Shaking her head and laughing silently, she picked up a piece of bacon, tilted her head back, and dropped it in her mouth making exaggerated moaning sounds the whole time she chewed. Hearing another huff, then a foot pushing at her hip, she heard it again. "But Calliope." Not the whine. Sneaking a glance to her right, she bowed her head in defeat. Arizona sat, leaning against the headboard, arms crossed, eyes lowered, and plump bottom lip sticking out just slightly. Shaking her head, she looked longingly at her plate and then passed it over. She couldn't help but smile when she heard the excited "Yay!" and the clapping of hands. Yep, breakfast with Arizona Robbins was absolute heaven.
She turned to watch as the blonde brought the bacon to her lips and put it in her mouth. Blue eyes closed in appreciation as she groaned quietly, savoring the flavor of the coveted breakfast food. She then brought her greasy fingers to her lips and licked the excess grease first from her thumb then her forefinger. That wasn't enough though. She made sure she locked eyes with the brunette as she stuck out her tongue and slowly closed her lips around her finger and pulled it out with a pop. Then she had the nerve to wink and husk out, "Thank you Calliope. That was delicious." Callie just shook her head and reached for her cup of coffee. As she leaned forward, she saw those delicate fingers holding the last piece of bacon up for her to take. Instead of reaching up and grabbing it, she decided to give as good as she got and leaned forward taking the bacon as well as the fingers that held it into her mouth closing her lips around them. Swiping her tongue between the two fingers to make them surrender the bacon, she then pulled back and released the digits, smiling when she saw the slight tremor in the pale hand as it was pulled back down. Winking in return she offered, "Mmmm that was delicious. Thank you Arizona." While she thoroughly enjoyed the dumbstruck look on the other woman's face, she didn't go unaffected. Nope, she felt that incredibly intimate moment shoot straight to her core. Yep, breakfast with Arizona Robbins was pure unadulterated hell.
As the two women stared at one another, a silent message passed between them. Neither had won this round. Shaking herself from her stupor, Callie finished her quest for her coffee and took pleasure in the way the warm liquid soothed her suddenly dry mouth. Arizona on the other hand took another moment to recover then turned to her daughter who had busied herself looking around her mommy's room. Walking to the dresser, she picked up a picture she had never seen before and carried it back to her mama. "When was this taken?" Callie looked at the picture and smiled brightly as she was immediately flooded with memories of that night. Seeing the look of pure bliss cross her ex-wife's face, Arizona was almost positive what picture was in her daughter's hand since she studied them carefully last night. "Let me see baby girl." She reached out her hand and took the photo. She smiled softly as she too remembered that night. "This was the night your mama took me camping out in the woods." She laughed as her daughter's jaw dropped in horror. "Mama! Mommy doesn't do camping!" she scolded. Taking the picture back, she studied the two smiling faces and furrowed her brow in confusion. "If mama took you camping, why are you smiling so big?" Arizona laughed and corrected, "Well, mama actually took me 'glamping' in Derek's trailer for Valentine's Day." Sofia smiled at this, "So you didn't hate it?" Both women laughed and Callie took over, "Oh, she hated it at first as much as she tried to pretend she didn't. Then when we went inside, she changed her tune quickly." Arizona nodded in agreement. "Mama had decorated the inside so it was very…" Sexy was what it was, but she couldn't say that to her 8 year old. "…pretty, and she had bought all my favorite treats and some very…um…comfy pajamas." Callie let out a laugh knowing all too well Arizona hadn't worn the lace boy shorts and matching camisole long enough to know if it was comfortable or not. The minute the blonde came out of the tiny bathroom in the black lace nighty, her wife was all over her. Looking up to see the blonde scowling at her, she bit her bottom lip and tried to hide the knowing smile.
Sofia bounced up and down in front of Callie, "Can you take me glamping mama? Can we all go?" Laughing at their daughter's excitement, the two exchanged glances knowing the blonde's hatred for being out in the woods for any period of time had grown exponentially since the plane crash. Callie offered instead, "You know what I'd really like to do?" Sofia shook her head thinking her idea for a family vacation was about to get shot down. She knew it wasn't likely, but needed try. "I'd like to rent a cabin near Greenwood Lake." Callie nervously looked up to see Arizona's nod of approval and sighed in relief when she got it. Arizona wasn't a huge fan of camping in the woods, but she could do a cabin on the lake if it meant making her family happy. She had no idea what was going on between her and Callie if anything. But she knew this was important for her daughter and it would be fun to do things as a family again. "When? Can we go next week?" Sofia asked excitedly. She really didn't care if they went camping, she wanted her moms to spend more time together and was surprised they both agreed so quickly. Arizona piped in, "How about you let me and mama talk about it and maybe we can go toward the end of the summer before school starts." Callie laughed when the little girl bounced on her toes and let out an exuberant, "Yay!" Giving the blonde a pointed look, she mouthed, "That's all you." Standing to gather the dishes, Callie offered, "But for now, why don't you go get cleaned up, grab your new swimming suit out of your top drawer and wait for us in the kitchen?" This day couldn't get any better Sofia thought as she ran out of the room. She skidded to a halt when she heard two voices call out to her, "Brush your teeth!" "No running in the house!" She wanted to be irritated at being corrected by both parents, but she couldn't be because it meant they were all in the same house.
Both women laughed as they heard their daughter come to a stop and respond with a deflated, "Yes, mommies," as soon as they called out to her. Shaking her head, Arizona asked, "How long do you think it will take before she stops being excited at having us both around?" Callie shrugged her shoulders and responded, "Maybe another day, two tops. You should have heard her at breakfast trying to tell me, 'Mommy likes this or mommy would want that.' thinking I couldn't see past her little game. She told me you liked your bacon extra crispy so I would make more for her." Arizona laughed at this. "She's in for a world of hurt. She has no idea how well we know each other." Feeling that pang of guilt again, Callie nodded and started to leave when Arizona stopped her. "Ummm, Callie, could you maybe…uh…look at my leg before you go? It's feeling better, but I want to make sure before I put my prosthetic on." Thrilled with the request, the brunette quickly put the dishes on the dresser and sat on the side of the bed. She carefully unwrapped the blue fabric and visually inspected the limb. Seeing that the redness had subsided and the swelling went down significantly, she felt she could safely touch it without causing her ex-wife any pain. Looking into patient blue eyes, she lifted her hand and silently asked for permission. Arizona smiled brightly and nodded. Callie gently ran her fingers across the end to inspect the scar and make sure there were no blisters, she then moved her hand along the top, bottom and both sides. She didn't see or feel any contusions, cuts, or blisters and was satisfied Arizona would be okay. The whole time Callie was caressing her leg, Arizona bit back a moan. She couldn't believe how intense her touch felt. She was certain it had nothing to do with the sensitivity of her leg and everything to do with the person touching her. Feeling the soft hand lift from her leg, she looked into brown eyes that appeared just a shade darker indicating her ex-wife was just as affected as she was.
As they stared into each other's eyes, both women leaned forward until their lips were just a breath apart. Neither knew what they were waiting for and at the same time decided the wait was over. The moment their lips touched; they both knew this kiss was different from the one they shared yesterday. Yesterday was safe, familiar, a sweet hello after a long time apart. But today it was filled with anticipation, desire, and the ever-present passion that bubbled just below the surface. Callie felt the all too familiar jolt of electricity surge through her body and Arizona felt every hair stand on end. Pulling back slightly to change angles, Arizona lifted her hand to the side of Callie's neck to hold her closer while the brunette reached out to rest her hand on a curvaceous hip. Full pink lips caressed plump red ones, touching, and pulling away. Teasing the brunette, daring her to take more. As their lips touched again, Callie captured Arizona's top lip and sucked it lightly causing her to release a moan of pleasure that the brunette felt touch her soul. She slid her tongue across the blonde's top lip asking for and receiving permission to enter. As their tongues touched, her hand slid around to splay across the blonde's lower back and the hand on her neck moved upward to scratch lightly at the stubble on the side of her head. Pulling each other closer still, their tongues reacquainted themselves slowly touching and retreating as the passion between the two women simmered just below the surface. Callie lifted her other hand to the back of Arizona's head tangling in blonde curls and pulling slightly knowing all too well what this did to her ex-wife. Just like that, the blonde was ravenous and the kiss became more needy, burning with need. Both women dueled for dominance until they had to pull away for lack of oxygen. Resting their foreheads together and breathing heavily, Callie softly caressed Arizona's back in the same manner those delicate fingers were dancing across Callie's scalp. When she felt she could finally talk, Arizona said, "God I missed that." Leaning in and stealing a quick kiss, Callie responded, "Mmmm you aren't the only one." Without another word, Arizona leaned in and brushed her lips across Callie's once again. The two shared several chaste kisses before they heard, "Mommiiiiieeees! I'm waiting." Letting out an exaggerated groan, Callie pulled back after one last peck. As she stood, she offered, "It's okay to put your leg on, but I got you a couple swimsuits and a floating chair if you'd like to get into the pool. The cool water might feel good." Callie knew that was a long shot, but she wanted to put the invitation out there. Arizona smiled brightly and responded, "Ya know, I think I just might. You'll stay close?" Callie beamed at her, "Of course I will." She then leaned down and brought her hand to Arizona's face caressing her cheek as she whispered, "I'm glad you're here." She smiled as she heard Arizona's whispered, "Me too." As she closed the door, both women let out a sigh worthy of a love-struck teenager.
