Levi took a deep breath when he finally stood on the front porch of his house. He could literally feel Eren's happiness oozing out of the gap of the front door. And his laugh? It was contagious. It makes the raven smile even if he didn't want to. He got a lot of problems at hand and smiling was for no reason was not on his list.
Taking in another deep breath. Levi placed his hand on his flat stomach. If ever there was a babe cooking inside him, the raven won't stop it. Let it cook, just like he said to Hange.
As much as he didn't want to have a child, especially now, Levi couldn't give himself to take pills and do something worst.
He didn't want to be like his father. Levi gasped and leaned on the porch's railing. It was not a mystery to him why his father was no one insight growing up, his uncle made sure of it.
When his mother, Kuchel, was pregnant with him, his father suggested of getting rid of him. The jerk Alpha was manipulating his mother then and Kuchel almost agreed until Kenny heard the news and stopped everything. Beat up the fucker and took care of his sister.
Kuchel recovered and had regretted agreeing to have Levi aborted. With Kenny as his father figure, Levi had a wonderful childhood. He did wonder where his father was and Kenny was honest about it. Levi could still feel the old Alpha's hate towards his father.
And Levi grew to hate the man too. That was attempted murder in the raven Omega's opinion. That's why he won't do anything if he did have a baby.
"If," Levi whispered. He dragged his legs up to the front door and rested his hand on the doorknob.
Taking in another deep breath, Levi cleared his mind and focused on his role. Reminding himself that Hange's helping him. If Eren finally came back to his senses and turned into an uncontrollable psycho, Levi's ending him. That's his plan in the first place. And when that time comes, Hange already had the drug to break the bond.
Levi just wished that things would go according to plan.
The raven shook his head and forced a smile while he opened the door. "I'm back-"
Levi paused with wide eyes at the sight of the dining table. There's a white cloth draped on the surface, the roses that Eren got him were in a vase and it was placed on the center. The plates, glasses, and cutlery were arranged and placed just like in fancy restaurants. Each plate had food already. Pancakes and slices of fruits. The glasses were full as well with fresh orange juice.
"Surprise!" Eren cheered. He was standing behind the chair, his hands grasped on the backrest for support.
"Eren, what is this?" Levi asked as he stepped inside the house and close the door behind him.
"Breakfast!" Eren gave him a cheeky grinned while he struggled to push the chair and invite the raven Omega to sit.
"But I-" Levi cut himself off, his hands grasped the empty air. He forgot to get eggs from Hange.
"It's okay, I made breakfast. Come on and sit!" The smile never left the brunette Alpha's face.
Levi gulped at Eren's overflowing happiness and decided to go with the flow. He nodded and went to the dining table and sat at the Alpha's offered chair.
"Yay!" Eren cheered childishly.
"Pfft," Levi couldn't help it. With the bond, the raven could tell that Eren's simple-minded, anything that had to do with him made the brunette Alpha super happy. Levi reached for the orange juice and took a sip. "You prepared all of this?"
"Yeah," Eren announced proudly, taking his crutch and moved to sit in front of the raven. "You were stressed this morning, so I figured I'll make you my mother's special pancakes!"
"Ack!" Levi coughed on his juice.
"Levi!" Eren panicked and passed him a napkin. "Are you okay?!"
"Yeah," Levi snatched the napkin and wipe his mouth clean. Did he hear the brunette right? That means Eren remembered his mother's special pancakes recipe. That means his memory was coming back! But if Levi looked deeply into the bond, there's no ill emotions or any lies. What was happening?
"So," Levi cleared his throat. "Your mom taught you to cook?"
"I..." Eren stared down at the pancakes on his plate for a good minute. Levi almost regretted the question, it could probably trigger his memories but thankfully Eren's response said him from his worries. "I don't know. I can't remember. When you were at Hange, I just thought of pancakes. Then my body just moved to get the pancake mix in the cupboards. Like, my body just moved on its own!"
Levi took his fork and picked up a piece of the pancakes. It was delicious. He looked up to the brunette, watching him as he ate his own plate of pancakes with gusto.
So, it was just muscle memory then? The raven confirmed in his head.
"Thank you," Levi said with a smile. "For making me breakfast."
"You don't need to thank me," Eren gave him a full smile, his eyes even gleam brightly with happiness. "I'm your husband and Alpha, I'll take care of you too."
"Yeah," Levi whispered and focused on his food. He slowly fed himself while his thoughts ran wild. He had no idea how he could end this in the future. Anyone could fell in love with Eren if he was this caring, sweet, and loving. The raven had doubts but as an agent, he had to be prepared for everything.
Keeping that in mind, Levi fully took in his role. And it was not so bad.
"Oh god!" Grisha let his forehead dropped on his desk. "Please, just shot me."
"Eh?" Kenny glared at him and lowered his gun. "You're no fun! Just like your daughter!"
"My daughter?" Grisha peered at him, anger rose within him. It was not that he had favorites but currently, he leaned towards his adopted daughter than his stupid son. "What did you do to Mikasa?!"
"Nothing," Kenny shrugged. "I just told her that her idiot brother bonded with my nephew, then she fainted."
Grisha sighed and nodded. "Of course."
"So?" Kenny crossed his arms and tapped his foot impatiently on the carpeted floor.
"What?" Grisha sat up straight and arch a brow at the other Alpha.
"I need the payment for what your son did to my nephew."
"Why me?"
"Because you're the father-in-law."
"What?" Grisha gapped at him, puzzled.
"Okay, I'm pissed at what happened but I know Levi from the back of my hand. I know he got a plan and Hange's there to help him. I trust him."
Grisha blinked at him. Once. Twice. It finally clicked. His jaw dropped. "You want a dowry?"
"A horse," Kenny said simply.
"What?! No!" Grisha exclaimed in disbelief. "Just shoot me!" he begged and opened his arms wide and living his body open for a bullet.
"If you're dead, who's getting me my horse? Your daughter could be in a coma right now," Kenny burst out laughing.
Grisha fell forward and kept hitting his head on his mahogany desk. "Eren, why did you do this to me?!"
