"So, it was Erwin?" Kenny gritting his teeth. He had a hunch but getting a confirmation made his blood boil. He hated Smith when he first entered Recon, he knew there was something off with the blonde Alpha.
"Yes, apparently, Erwin dug into Yeager's files and tipped some of the victims' parents. Persuading them to seek revenge," Hange explained with a dead face.
Kenny scoffed, that sort of tactic was the lowest of the low. Was Smith that desperate to have Yeager dead? Manipulating someone else to get the job done? Pathetic.
"But how did Erwin Smith knew which Hospital Eren was?" Armin asked curiously.
"That could only mean one thing, he sneaked into our office back at Recon," Kenny glared at nothingness before smiling like a madman and gave the blonde a thumbs up. "But it's okay, I'll take care of Smith as well as all the stuff we have in that place."
"Yeah, and I can pull a few strings as well," Hange added with a wide smile. "So, there's nothing to worry about."
"Um," Armin smiled back awkwardly. If he thinks Eren was crazy, Kenny Ackerman and Hange Zoe were on another level. The two were not careless like his best friend, they were calculated and sure of their plans and intentions. The two agents were the real psychopath in Armin's opinion. He couldn't help but be amaze and scared of them at the same time.
"Okay, but..." Mikasa paused as she gazes at the two in the main lounge. Kenny had his old boots propped up on the coffee table while Hange was occupying the armchair with her legs crossed. "What are you two doing here?!"
She was thankful for the updates regarding her brother but she didn't want any agents of Recon in the main house.
"Oh, I just came here because Kenny is here," Hange innocently pointed at the old Alpha on the sofa.
Mikasa felt a vain erupt on her head when Kenny gave her a cheeky smile and small wave.
The main house was a mess when Kenny came waltzing in but as days gone by, the old Alpha was simply enjoying himself with the main house amenities, everyone slowly "accepted" his presence. Then, Hange Zoe walked in like the main house was some sort of cafe. Once again, the main house was a mess.
Everyone knew that they had to avoid Hange Zoe as possible. Everything about their business was shipped away to a different house and some were burned down. They couldn't afford Hange Zoe peaking into their files and records. But then again, Mikasa knew that Hange had the ins and outs of the main house and everything about their business. It's only a matter of time when the Recon would come bursting to their doors.
But, obviously not now.
"Mikasa," Armin reached to hold her hand. He was sitting on the armchair opposite Hange, the blonde Omega wanted to make sure that he's in between Mikasa and the two Recon agents. Grisha gave him a new job to be the mediator between the agents and members of the house since he was an Omega who could use his scent to successfully stop a fight. Their boss certainly didn't want to handle a troublesome fight that could make their situation worst. "It's okay. We all agreed to this, to keep Eren safe," he smiled, hoping it would calm his raging friend.
"I mean, yeah!" She snapped and pointed at Kenny. "But that doesn't mean that they'll be staying here! Especially, you Ackerman!"
"Hey, you're an Ackerman too," Kenny arched a brow at her. He leaned back and rested his hands behind his head. "You could be my long-lost niece. Now, be nice to uncle Kenny."
Mikasa growled and whispered under her breath. Yes, her last name was Ackerman but even if they were related, she won't recognize Kenny or Levi as family. She only had one family and that was the Yeager's. Reining her angry, Mikasa sighed. "I should have agreed to change my last name to Yeager."
"Look, I've been to several houses of other guys but the Yeager's main house is just pure excellent!" Kenny cheered. "You guys have a bar with good alcohol!"
"So, it was you!" One of the older members of the main house stepped into the lounge and glared at Kenny. He smelt of liquor and possibly drunk again based on the redness on his face.
"Hannes!" Kenny jumped and smiled awkwardly "I mean, Hi! How are you?"
"I knew it! How could you drain all the goods?! Especially my precious Rose 1548?!" Hannes exclaimed.
"But what I am supposed to do?" Kenny stood up and held his hands up. "We're supposed to drink them and not display them in the fancy bar."
"But that doesn't mean you have to finish the whole bottle!" Hannes exploded and dashed towards Kenny.
"Oh shit!" Kenny jumped to his feet and made a run for it with Hannes trailing behind him.
"Ohhh!" Hange hopped on her feet and threw Mikasa and Armin a dopey smile. "It's fun here! Can I stay? Like a sleepover?"
Armin dropped his head on his hands and sighed while Mikasa was back in full-rage mode.
"No!" Mikasa screamed.
"To the beach?!" Eren shouted.
If Levi was being his shitty self, he could have grimaced at the volume of Eren's voice. It was like Hange had possessed the brunette but seeing the Alpha so happy about the news was able to pull up the corners of his lips instead.
"Yes, the doctor recommended it as well." That was a lie but who didn't need a good vacation on the beach? Levi rested his hand on Captian's coat and patted the dog who was laying on his lap.
Eren pouted, his green eyes landed on the dog. "Captain hates me."
Levi sighed and continued petting the dog. "Give him time, he was just surprised."
Animals were very sensitive to the scents of every dynamic, especially, dogs. Captain was trained to identify moods depending on the patient's scents but seems like he was spooked at Eren's drastic drop of scent that day. Levi was surprised too but instead of submitting to the dominant scent, he was able o keep himself up because of the mark he wore on his nape.
Bonded Omegas couldn't be easily forced into submission by their Alphas. It's put to the Omega, if they truly trust the Alpha they bonded, they would easily submit without question. This usually happened during mating.
"I'm sorry, Captain," Eren croaked. He lifted his hand slowly and reached for the dog's head.
Levi watched closely, just in case Captain bites but he felt the dog tense instead. God, the poor German Shepard was scared of Eren.
Eren saw Captain tensed and withdraw his hand. Defeated.
Levi gulped at the wash of guilt and dread that the brunette was omitting through the bond. The raven didn't like that. Eren adored and loved Captain and the dog's reaction was killing him now.
"Eren," he gently called the sulking brunette.
"Hm?"
"Give me your hand," Levi offered his hand and Eren took it. Slowly, the raven rested their hands on Captain's head.
Eren froze and held his breath. Captain tensed a bit but after a few seconds, the dog relaxed. Levi moved their hands near his snout, watching closely as Captain gave a few sniffs before sticking out his tongue and softly licked their hands.
Eren gasped and his face lights up like the sunrise. Just seeing the brunette happy again, the raven could live with a little dog saliva on his hand.
Levi felt something fuzzy in his chest along with Eren's genuine happiness but the Alpha's joy was quickly replaced with another wave of worry from
"What's wrong?" Levi asked. How could Eren's enter demeanor switch so quickly? There's certainly a lot of things going on in the Alpha's head.
"What happens," Eren sucked in a breath. Green eyes still glued on Captain, the dog stopped licking their hands and decided to take a nap.
"Hm?" Levi encouraged calmly.
"What happens if I did... " Eren gulped before continuing but it didn't help, his voice was at the edge and cracking. "If I did... 'that' again in the future. You think... our baby will be s-scared of me? J-just like Captain?"
Levi's eyes widen at Eren's question. Would a baby or child be traumatized? It was indeed asudden dropped of heavy-dominating scent, it even scared the horse away. Plus, are they're going to have a baby in the first place?
Levi's not sure and it pains him. Their situation was fucked. He was fucked, Eren's fucked up, and even the poor dog was fucked. Adding a baby into the fucked up mix was too much.
He couldn't find his voice to answer the brunette. Eren was feeling worst in bond because Levi hadn't replied.
He couldn't reply. He looked into the brunette's eyes, they were glassy with tears threatening to spill any moment.
It hurts, it breaks Levi's heart and soul to see Eren like this. They stared at each other for a few seconds and the tears started to spill from those stunning green eyes.
Levi felt his heart grew heavy and his mind simply gave up. He leaned forward until his forehead rested on Eren's. Closing the gap, Levi placed his lips on the Alpha, feeling a cool tear trailing on his face. Levi swore to never cry to an Alpha again ut here he was.
He pulled away, looking back at Eren's green eyes as the Alpha cried silently. Levi felt another tear fell.
"I love you," Levi whispered but he knew that that wouldn't help or change anything.
