Kuchel pursed her lips as she watched her son take another wrong turn. She was in her car, driving a good distance away from Levi and simply observing him. She prayed that the raven Omega would remember the way home but it seems like he forgot.

Again.

It breaks her heart every time she saw Levi struggle with his memory loss and his feeling of shame when he discovered that he forgot something. Even when the raven lived half of his life in this neighborhood and knew everyone, he hardly remembers, if he did, he eventually forgets.

Kuchel talked to everyone, begging them to be easy on Levi because of his condition. Thankfully, everyone was so kind and gentle towards Levi and always ready to help her in every way.

With Kenny and Hange's help, the neighborhood was under protection making Kuchel less worried when Levi tends to wander around and forget the way home. The beta scientist also gave her a tracker, so when the old Omega lost sight of Levi, she could easily track him. She just has to make sure that her son won't forget to put on his bracelet for there the tracker was installed. She also kept reminding Eren to remind his mother to put it on. That helped a lot and it became a routine. Routines were good. In the morning, Levi would wake and little Eren would follow after, kissing Kuchel and his mother a good morning, then he'll be the one putting the bracelet on Levi.

But this was all they could do for now. Until the day Kuchel could finally encourage Levi to take the pills from Hange again.

Shaking her head, Kuchel brushed off the frown on her face and forced a smile. Once again, she'll pretend she went to her friend's house and decided to pick up Levi after. She used that excuse many times and Levi seemed to not recall it.

She drove until she was next to Levi. The raven looked preoccupied with whatever he was thinking that he didn't notice her car slowly moving next to him while he walks.

Kuchel gently called out once she pulled down her window. "Levi, honey?"

Levi blinked when he heard his mother's voice and finally noticed her. "Mama?"

"Yes, it's me, baby," Kuchel confirmed and extended her wrist for Levi to recognize his mother's scent.

"No, I..." Levi looked away. "I know, it's you. I was just surprised to see you."

"Oh, it's okay baby," Kuchel soften her voice. Levi never forgets his own mother but there was one time when Kuchel came home from the grocery store. The store was packed and the old Omega got some of the scents of other people in her clothes. And there was Levi in the kitchen, eyes held with fear with butter knife aiming at her. Levi momentarily forgot about her as his mother but when Kuchel took off her cardigan and let her natural off, he recalled and eventually calmed down yet still ashamed that he forgets his mother's face.

"I drop something off to my friend and figured that I'd pick you up."

"Thank you," Levi nodded and walked to the passenger seat.

"So," Kuchel tried to lighten the mood with her cheery voice. "You got Eren's crayons?"

"Yeah, but they don't sell just one crayon. I have to get the whole box," Levi explained while showing the box of crayons to his mother. "At least, Eren will have extra colors."

"Yeah, that's nice. Should we go home or do you want to buy fastfood or some drinks?"

"No, let's go home. Eren's waiting for us."

"Alright then," Kuchel drove in the right direction to their house.

"Mama," Levi called out after being silent for a minute.

"Yes, baby?"

"In the store," the smaller male started, voice unsure. "I met..."

Kuchel glanced at her son. "You met?"

"I..." Levi paused, brows furrowed as he tried to get retrieve the recent events in his memory. Then he sighed and turned to look at the window. "Sorry, I forgot."

"Oh, it's okay, baby."

Levi's frown deepen as he stared out of the window while they passed through the quiet neighborhood.

"No, it's not okay," Levi whispered.

"That's the last of your shit," Jean groaned while stretching his shoulders.

"It's not my fault you're so freaking weak," Eren bit back.

"That couch was heavy!" Jean growled and marched towards him. Nose flaring with rage.

"Easy guys," Marco stepped in before the two started another fight.

"Whatever," Eren shrugged. "Thanks anyway."

"No problem at all, Eren," Marco smiled at him before his dark brown eyes survey the brunette Alpha's new home. "Though, I didn't expect that you'll get a house."

"Pffft! Yeah, I imagine you'll be renting a storage container and live there!" Jean laughed, recalling the days where he picked up his friend from a run-down storage container facility after whatever fuckery Eren did before.

"Shut up," Eren rolled his eyes on them.

Jean was right though, he much prefers to live in a storage container. He felt more comfortable away from the eyes of the authorities or any human beings. But with his identity hidden and with Hange and Kenny's help, he'll be able to walk out in the open within the town with no trouble or Recon waiting for him at his gates.

Taking a seat on the couch, Eren stared at the cozy place before him. The house had a decent size, the first floor was studio type, with an open kitchen and then a bathroom, glass doors open to the backyard. The second floor had two rooms and a balcony to enjoy the sunset.

It's a very domestic house. The windows were huge, almost nothing to hide without curtains. It was weird that Eren found himself living in such a place but he didn't pick this house for himself.

He imagined inviting Levi and his son and he wanted to give them a good impression. With Levi's memory loss, he might as well not fuck it up.

But something is missing, no, a lot was missing. The house was empty with so little stuff that Eren moved in. The couch he was sitting in was spare from the flower shop and his two boxes of clothes sat on the corner of the room.

"Marco, can you order me some stuff for the house?" He asked.

Eren had no idea what to put in the house to make it look more... like a house.

"Of course, I've already had a few things in mind. Like, curtains, an entertainment system, and then-" Marco listed as he walked around the house.

Eren was only half listening and nodding away when Jean moved to sit next to him and study him for a second.

"You okay?" the two-toned-haired Alpha asked.

"Yeah," Eren nodded.

"How can you be okay? You're situation's fucked."

"I'm already fucked in the first place."

"That's true and... what the hell?! Eren fucking Yeager. You son of a bitch! Are you slacking?!" Jean almost jumped out of the couch, staring at his friend with utter shock.

He had never seen Eren like this. Shoulder dropped, lips turned in a deep frown, eyes staring into the floor, deep in thought like he was carrying the world's problems.

"What the actual hell?" Jean gaped.

"Jean! You're not helping!" Marco scolded when he noticed Eren's chest-fallen expression. He moved to the brunette's side and patted his shoulder. "It's going to be okay, Eren. Trust me."

"I have a son and a mate who had no idea that I exist," Eren mumbled.

"But isn't that better?" Jean mocked.

"Jean!" Marco hissed at his mate.

"Listen, isn't that a good thing? I mean, Levi didn't remember that you're a crazy bastard."

Eren remained silent. But what happens if Levi remembers halfway? The Omega had the right to keep his son away from a dangerous psychopath like him.

"Okay, first," Marco patted his shoulder again to grab his attention. "You need to have a good impression on your son and to you Levi as well. If Ackerman's memories came back or when he find out, I'm sure he'll see that you have changed."

"Have I?" Eren scoffed.

"Oh, Dude," Jean shook his head. "You have no idea."
