But Happily Ever After is torn asunder, when Elsa learns she must marry Hans in order to prevent war. She willingly submits, believing that a loveless marriage is simply her destiny. After all, who could ever love the Snow Queen?

Picking up where "Verðug dróttning stór" ended, we see the Snow Queen of Arendelle as she heals and prepares to bring havoc down on the Duke of Weselton's badly bewigged head. This is a darker Elsa, a more traumatized Elsa, who may have lost her way. Anna invites Kristoff to a party along with Elsa, but he feels out of place among royalty. However the evening takes a bad turn when a group of hostile men take the castle hostage. Elsa is trying her best to be the best sister Anna deserves. After thirteen years of failing her little sister she will do anything for her. Now dangerous attacks in the forest as well as strange blizzards that are damaging villages leave Elsa stressful and overworked. She is scared, not for herself or for her kingdom. No, she is scared that she will lose everything close to her.

"One day you will wear the crown, my son, but it does not make you King…" Several years after the Great Thaw, Elsa is the proud mother of two wonderful sons. The boys grow up as best friends, until a tragic accident leaves the elder brother hateful and bitter. He starts abusing his icy magic and his title as Crown Prince. Can Elsa save her family and kingdom, before it is too late?

Elsa is captured by Hans and taken into custody of the southern isles. He refuses to allow her to go back to her family, and Anna must try and decide what the best choice is for the Kingdom. Meanwhile Elsa endures torment from Hans, and Kristoff tries to solve a complicated problem.

Set after the events of Frozen, the story begins with Anna and Kristoff's wedding- or rather, when Anna journeys back from her honeymoon. Blackmail, Anna's kidnapping and a heated scene in the alley all lead up to Elsa trying to locate Anna's whereabouts- with a mysterious green eyed boy who refuses to remove his hooded cloak. This time, more than a kingdom is at stake.[Kristanna]

Absolute fear and despair was what Anna was hit in the heart with when Elsa had struck her. Anna's heart thawed, but not in a way we likely thought it would. Slowly, she's becoming more distant and cold. Elsa wants to mend the their broken sisterly bond, and Kristoff wants his lovely feistypants back. But even more complications arise. Will love be enough?

Kristoff disappeared before she had even truly realized how much she cared. Anna, convinced she can find him, sets off to do such but comes up empty handed. In order to advance she must cooperate with someone she deems as "scum of the earth", who coincidentally also needs her help for his own selfish progression.

Prince Hans is a grand manipulator, truly grand. People are easily swayed by fear, and what could be more frightening than an evil sorceress?
