Chapter 18
Hiryu was trapped in a vortex of whirring and swarming darkness. He was screaming and yelling, terrified as he had no clue on what was happening to him.
Suddenly, the wind stopped, and the mist was cleared. Hiryu's closed eyes were slowly opening as he got a very up close and personal view of the steel beamed roof of the USJ facility.
The moment the boy blinked, an immense force of wind hit his back as the view of the ceiling was now getting further and further away.
That was when it registered in Hiryu's mind. He was falling, falling from the near top of the ceiling of the massive USJ facility.
He started hopelessly flailing his arms around while screaming from the top of his lungs as he realized that he was about to fall to his death.
Hiryu was able to use his scales quirk for the fall he took when the Nomu knocked him out of the sky, but there was a limit to how much he can use them and with everything he's done today in regards to his quirk, he couldn't find the energy to form enough scales at this time to protect himself from his fall.
Today alone, he's been through one-to-many situations where he felt like his life would meet its end and, in this situation, it looked like that this one would be the one that finishes him for sure.
Hiryu shut his eyes as hard as he could again, now with tears beginning to dwell as he was once again trying to prepare himself for the cold embrace of death.
He had his back turned to the ground so he couldn't see when the ground would end his life.
The only thing going through the young man's mind was a stream of profanity, cursing at what was going to be his impending demise.
And then he hit… something.
Hiryu's body landed on something other than the unforgiving solid ground.
He had landed on something… spongy and bouncy.
When he hit it, the Chinese student felt a spongy ,partly bouncy feeling before launching him back up in the air.
Midair, the student was fighting for control as he turned his body around in such a way he was looking down at the ground.
What he saw was his two classmates, a completely drenched Manga and Awase carrying a large, white and spongy looking substance.
The two students were looking up at Hiryu, all while carrying the white cloud looking thing to where he would land next, trying to save him from hitting the solid ground.
The first bounce had him high up in the air ,but not so high that if he hit the ground now from that height, it would not cause death on impact, but it would still hurt incredibly.
Luckily for him, Awase and Manga kept on bouncing him, enough to the point where his elevation was so low that the two could easily catch him as he came back down.
"Gotcha!" Awase said wearily, tired from having to bounce Hiryu up in the air so many times.
"感谢上帝" (Gǎnxiè shàngdì-Thank Goodness)
Hiryu was now on his hands and knees trying to regain his breath and senses (as well as pray), more than thankful to be alive.
With his eyes on the ground, Hiryu looked up at his saviors and what they used to save him.
It was a physical representation of the Japanese Onomatopoeia "ピョン" (Pyon -Boing) spelled out in white, fluffy cloud like characters.
"I'm not *wheeze* used to making two *wheeze* in such short time, *wheeze*" Manga wheezed while caressing his sore throat.
Awase's and Manga's timing couldn't have been better as the moment they got out of the water they looked up to see Hiryu falling from near the ceiling.
Awase, who had his hair down due to the fact that he was swimming in water, looked around the Central Plaza where he and Manga had just swum to.
The welding student looked a little further ahead down the plaza and saw by the Mountain Zone a blue haired villain talking with the mist villain that teleported everyone away. They were in between the Mountain Zone and the Conflagration Zone.
"Now would be a good time for us to get the fuck out of here now," Awase whispered, trying to avoid the attention of the two villains not that far from them.
The other two students peered over to where Awase was looking at.
"… Is that hand guy the leader or something?" Hiryu asked quietly.
"I don't know but… leaving should be our top- "
Before Awase could finish, he was interrupted by a loud chorus of screaming and yelling of what sounded like grown men and women emerged from the villain's side of the plaza.
"There's more of them?" Hiryu said in disbelief.
"All the more reason for us to leave," Awase proposed, which garnered an agreement from the other boys and who up and ran away from the villains, doing their best to sneak away to the stairs.
…
*On the other side of the Central Plaza*
"Kurogiri… Are you serious?"
"… I am afraid so, Shigaraki."
"…"
A loud sigh was let out by the blue haired villain.
Then came the loud and uncomfortable sound of his own nails scratching against his neck.
It started off slow then he started to scratch himself uncontrollably.
"You," Shigaraki seethed, "If you weren't a warp gate, I would've turned you into pile of dust for letting that kid escape."
Suddenly, his unrelenting scratching stopped, as he and Kurogiri heard the parade of running and screaming villains heading towards his way like a bunch of children running to see their mother.
It was a group of 7 from the Mountain Zone of USJ, all looking like they were running away from something.
The two villains looked at the group that standing before them out of breath.
"What happened?" Shigaraki asked the group.
"It's… It's those kids," One of them answered struggling to breathe.
"Yeah, it was some girl that was throwing boulders at us, we needed to leave or else we would've been crushed!" Another one cried.
A man with deer antlers came forward from the group and got up close and stuck his finger at Shigaraki's thin chest.
"What the fuck! You told us that we would be taking down All Might together, and you have us all fighting a bunch of kids!"
"All Might was supposed to be here, but for some unknown reason he is not," Kurogiri informed.
"Yeah no shit he's not here!" He snapped at the mist villain before turning his sights back at Shigaraki, "Those plans and schemes of yours were all bullshit and now you have us all wasting our damn time!"
Shigaraki just stood there as the antler villain was talking him down, his red eyes staring deep into the villain as he was getting roughly poked in the chest with each word said to him.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
In a rather surprising act, he gently placed his hand among the antler villain's shoulder.
"You know what? You're right…"
The group of villains, even the antler one, were shocked by what was said by the planner of this whole break in.
"You're right… I did say that we would be taking down the Symbol of Peace, and yes… he isn't here like it the school schedule said he was, and yes... you are all wasting your time fighting a bunch of U.A kids."
Suddenly, the hand on the deer antler villain's shoulder felt heavier.
"Which is why… it's truly shameful, that you all were running away from a bunch of students."
The antler villain snarled his teeth at Shigaraki, "You son of a- huh?"
What stopped the villain from finishing his sentence was the strange feeling of his shoulder feeling weaker.
"Wha- What the fuck are you- ACK!" With his focus on his diminishing right shoulder, he didn't see Shigaraki's hands shooting for his neck, strangling him with the tightness of a snake.
The red eyed villain looked him dead into the eyes of the the struggling villain who was having trouble breathing from the tight hold he had him in.
"If you can't get past a bunch of kids, then what hope do you have in taking down All Might?" Shigaraki growled.
The antler villain couldn't answer as he was starting to lose consciousness. He was down to his knees now, losing the ability to stand on his own volition.
"Which is why, I might as well pull the plug on your worthless life!"
The rest of the villains could only look in horror and see the harrowing sight of Shigaraki using his quirk to completely disintegrate one of their own.
The once muscular villain was now nothing more than a pile of dust.
Shigaraki looked down at the pile of dust and kicked it across the ground, desecrating the remains of the man he had just callously killed.
Shigaraki's eyes were empty as he realized that his chances to end the symbol of peace has taken a huge hit.
He looked towards the other villains that came to him and stared at them, his obscured face morphing into a face of disgust at the mere sight of them.
"Get out of my sight now, before I kill you all," He threatened, with little energy in his voice.
The group of villains were more than willing to oblige as they all began to run away from Shigaraki.
The duo just stood there, each of them disappointed in today's failure.
"Let's just pack it up for now. Where's that Nomu?" Shigaraki questioned.
He looked around and he quickly spotted it. It was standing by the staircase that led to the entrance bridge.
"Wait…"
The raspy voiced villain looked at another person that was in front of the Nomu, someone who, after what happened, shouldn't be standing right now.
"How… How is Eraserhead still standing after what I did?" He puzzled to himself.
The teacher was carrying a pink haired student over his shoulders as he was preparing to face off against the Nomu that was blocking his exit. The same teacher that had his arms and body twisted and crushed by the Nomu.
The two villains were watching them, hoping to see their monster kill at least a pro hero and a student. That should at least send a powerful message to the hero society.
The Nomu was about to come forward to Eraserhead, until a loud and booming thud came from up the stairs the Nomu was standing in front of.
Everyone looked up the stairs and a familiar and roaring voice echoed throughout the USJ facility.
"CALIFORNIA SMASH!"
In a blink of an eye, the Nomu was hit by a powerful somersault kick from the Symbol of Peace, All Might.
The kick dropped the Nomu and granted All Might full top position as he held the beast down, allowing Aizawa to carry himself and his student out of the facility.
"Shigaraki, I believe that now would be a good time for us to make our escape. With All Might now present, more reinforcements will soon show and with our dwindled manpower, we realistically have little hope in achieving our goal of stopping- "
"SHUT IT!" Shigaraki snapped, "I already said that I know that our plan is in the toilet, but I'd like to see how the boss's creation holds up against the Symbol of Peace. Then we can get out here and head back to base."
With Kurogiri by his side, an easy access to leave was always present for Shigaraki, so he opted to stay back and watch.
…
*Back inside the Flood Zone*
*BOOM*
The chase that had Setsuna running away from villains had been on a brief pause as a loud crash hit the roof of the zone.
The fragmented girl had looked up to the ceiling from which the loud bang had come from. There was nothing up on the ceiling, so it most likely came from outside thought Setsuna.
Whatever it was, must've been big.
The villains also stopped in their tracks to look up as well, which is when they realized that whatever hit the roof, left a little crack opening. An opening that Setsuna was going to take advantage of and leave the Flood Zone.
The villains tried to stop her and threw everything they could at her, hoping to keep her in with them.
'Damn, these guys don't quit, but at least I found another way out,' Setsuna said in her mind, realizing that going through the now open hole in the roof would be a massive mistake on her part as it would create a bottleneck situation that would make her an easy target.
So, she was once again fleeing from the villains, but her supreme ability to manipulate each piece of her detached body had them all throwing at air. Her quirk had a limit to how long she could use it, but she wasn't concerned with it as she knew she had some good time left.
"Sen and Kinoko, where are they?" She wondered.
The last time she saw them was when they had agreed to split away from villains that was chasing them and with the villains trying to bring her down, she couldn't take her eyes off of them to try and look for the two.
"Wait what the hell is that behind us?" A villain on the ground said, prompting Setsuna to investigate into the distance to try and see what they were talking about.
"It looks like a bunch of… students riding on some kind of sasquatch!" One of the villains responded.
"It doesn't matter what it is, just put them down!"
Suddenly, all the attention the villains put on Setsuna was shifted on the hulking Jurota who had Kosei, Sen and Kinoko on his back.
Setsuna spotted the students and realized that with the attention off her she can turn back to her normal human form.
She took her pieces over into an alleyway to change back.
"Get ready Kosei!" Jurota yelled while still running.
The villains suddenly charged after the beast student with weapons draw and projectiles ready to be thrown.
"Now!" Jurota ordered.
The charging force of Jurota slowed a little to allow Kosei to form a tall rectangular barrier of solid air.
It was about the size of Jurota in his beast from, which was exactly by design.
He picked up the barrier by the sides and began to swing the giant solid air barrier at the villains like it was a baseball bat.
Kosei pointed a finger at the villains and cracked a confident smirk, "Let's swing for the fences Jurota!"
…
"That's just about everything," Setsuna inspected, looking all over her body to see if everything was where it should be and if she was still missing some pieces.
She ran out from the alleyway to try and assist her classmates with the villains, but when she came out the villains were already taken care of.
They were all laid about the rainy street, each of them incapacitated from whatever happened to them.
"Ooooohh that feels good~" A voice moaned out.
Setsuna looked to where the voice came from and saw Sen using his gyrate quirk on Jurota. The black-haired student's arms were rotating and smoothly grazing the newly elected class rep's back.
"How the hell did you get fleas?" Sen asked, hands still roaming over Jurota itchy body.
"Some guy we were dealing with in the Landslide Zone gave it to him," Kosei replied.
"Y-Yeah, b-but I am still able t-to function. I c-can fight through this," Jurota reassured as he was getting massaged by Sen.
"Well, that's good to hear," Setsuna said, letting her self known to her classmates.
"There you are!" Kinoko beamed, "So it looks like we're all okay then!"
"Yeah, big part to Jurota and Kosei," Setsuna said, gesturing towards the laid-out bodies of the villains strewn across their feet, "Where were you and Sen?"
"We dealt with our villains. Kinoko dropped all of them from a giant mushroom they were climbing on to get to us by letting the mushroom wither and rot," Sen returned.
"Yeah, you know I'm kind of getting the hang of being able to use my quirk in creative ways," Kinoko beamed.
"Same here! It's crazy to think that being attacked by actual villains would be a boost of confidence in making us feel better about our quirks," Kosei mused.
"Well in any case, let's get the hell out of here before they wake up," Sen suggested.
The four other students nodded in agreement and started to head towards the exit.
"How did you guys make it over here?" Kinoko asked, her small body clung onto Jurota's running form.
"After we beat the villains at our side, we- or Jurota, kicked the door down to get into the Flood Zone." Kosei answered.
"We figured that if that mist villain had sent us over to the Landslide Zone, then he probably sent everyone else in different zones as well, and it looks like it was a correct hunch to have," Jurota surmised, the effects of the fleas, dying down a little after Sen's massage.
"Yeah, and when we were heading over here, we had run past a bunch of knocked out villains in the Central Plaza." Kosei added.
"Knocked out villains? Did Mr. Aizawa do all of that?" Kinoko asked, remembering that the class's homeroom teacher was down there dealing with the villains.
"I'm guessing so, but when we head out of here, we need to be wary of the possibility of them waking up and possibly dealing with whatever it was that caused the hole in the ceiling." The bespectacled student warned.
Setsuna's eyebrows rose, "Wait… you heard that too?"
"Yeah, we all did, but we heard it when we were in here, we didn't see what it was that caused the loud thud," Kosei informed, "but whatever it is, I'm sure we can handle it!"
Jurota let out a light laugh, "Well it's nice to see you this confident now Kosei, what changed in you?"
Koseis's once vibrant and hopeful face, turned white when Jurota spoke.
"Hm? What do you mean by that?" Sen asked Jurota.
"NOTHING! HE MEANS NOTHING BY THAT! NOTHING AT ALL! *wheeze*" Kosei spluttered while having to get his inhaler to get more air into his lungs.
Setsuna, Sen and Kinoko looked at Kosei with great confusion as they kept running towards the exit.
…
*Meanwhile in the Conflaguration Zone*
The pair of Tetsu and Reiko found the exit door and was preparing to leave the fiery zone.
"We need to be careful out there Tetsu, we don't know what's out there waiting for us, remember that," Reiko warned again.
"Yeah, yeah I heard you the first time," Tetsu said dismissively.
Reiko sighed at his lack of care and opened the door that would lead them the Central Plaza.
"BRING IT ON!" Tetsu yelled, running out the door like a bat out of hell, ready to take on anything that stood in his way.
While the steely student was running out the door, someone called out for him and it wasn't Reiko tired voice.
"Hey Tetsu!"
The white-haired boy stopped his dash and looked at where the greeting came from.
It came from the cheerful and bright Pony who had the solemn and stone-faced Yui by her side.
The blonde girl was on the ground, tending to her left hoof.
"Oh, it's you two. Where the hell did you come from?" Tetsu asked.
"We're coming from the Mountain Zone. We wanted to drop by at some other spots to try and save whoever we can, but…" Pony trailed.
"But there's a pretty frightening villain that's near the fountain of the Central Plaza. We didn't want to get in his attention, so Pony and I came over to this zone by the way of the mountains to avoid him completely. But because of the amount of drops we took, Pony had hurt her hoof dropping down," Yui explained.
Reiko and Tetsu looked at Pony's hoof, they couldn't exactly see the damage, but with how she was reacting from just touching it, it looked she would be unable to gallop.
"Safe to assume you're all coming from the Conflagration Zone?" Yui asked.
Reiko nodded, "Yeah. Guessing everyone else is teleported into different places as well."
There was a moment of silence between everyone as they all began to think about what they should do next.
With Pony's hoof damaged, she couldn't exactly take anyone to safety.
"Oh well, would've been helpful to have you carry people to safety, but if you can't go then, I'll just go for you!" Tetsu exclaimed, confidently walking off into the Central Plaza of USJ.
"Tetsu wait-"
*BOOM*
A loud bang came from the other side of USJ, a bang that stopped Tetsu from his warpath.
Before the students knew it, their heroics teacher All Might was on top of the giant monster that came through the portal.
"All Might!" Pony cried out, ecstatic to see their teacher finally arrive.
"Alright! Bout time he showed up!" Tetsu yelled.
"Will you two be quiet!" Reiko quietly admonished, "Not sure if you noticed, but there are two villains not that far from us and I don't think they noticed us."
The students looked over to the side and just as Reiko said, in the distance, were two villains. One with the hands all over himself and the other a purple, misty being in a formal suit. They were watching All Might, not at all aware of their presence.
"Eep! It's those same villains me and Yui saw," Pony pointed out.
"Eh? it's just two villains, I'm sure we can get past them no sweat," Tetsu said.
"It might be just two villains, but they seem dangerous and from the looks of it, they seem like the orchestrators of this whole thing, so we don't really know what they're capable of," Yui theorized.
"So, what should we do?" Tetsu asked.
"… I guess just sit back and watch how things unfold. With All Might finally here, it's safe to assume that one of the other students called for help and more heroes should arrive," Reiko postulated.
Tetsu cupped his chin in his hands, "Hm, I guess you're right there. Not to mention, from the looks of it at least, All Might seems to have that monster in his control." Tetsu said, surprising his other classmates by actually agreeing with taking the passive stance.
They all stood back and watched the action unfold all the while trying to remain undetected from the two villains not too far from them.
…
With the luxury of distance between All Might and the Nomu, Kurogiri and Shigaraki watched on as the top mounting All Might began to pummel the Nomu with a hail of punches.
The punches the Nomu was receiving would be more than enough to put down anybody and anything, but the Nomu was created with something that can help nullify the number one hero's greatest strength.
"That shock absorption really is showing through," Shigaraki remarked, "well he was manufactured specifically to go toe to toe with All Might, but it's still a sight to see."
They watched on as the Nomu was dealt with numerous blows to his face, only for the monster to free one of his arms from the weight of All Might's knee and attempt to throw a punch back at the number one hero.
All Might managed to avoid the attack by leaping off the Nomu, giving each other some space.
The Nomu got back to its feet and immediately went after All Might, throwing its own barrage of punches.
All Might was able to dodge the punches without much problem, so much so, that he was able to catch one of them and wrestled him back into the ground, only this time, he had the Nomu in a rear naked choke, putting forth all of his power to squeeze the air from the monster in hopes of stopping him.
"If… my punches can't do the trick on you… then choking you out will!" All Might strained, while trying to put the monster to sleep.
Back on the other side of the Central Plaza, a low snicker came from Shigaraki, "I think the Nomu's in need of some help, don't you agree Kurogiri?"
There was brief pause before the black mist villain responded, "What about our escape sir?"
"Let's not worry about that for now, we have All Might right where we need him," Shigaraki said with a sinister tone.
All Might was using all of the strength he had to take out the Nomu, but there was no give. It was like the monster's throat was made of steel.
All Might was beginning to lose his grip and strength from the chokehold, frustrated that the monster was still conscious.
"What the hell are you? Why won't you just go to- URK!"
Suddenly, a piercing… and familiar pain formed from All Might's sides. He didn't know what was causing it, but it was unbearable.
Shigaraki let out a cackling laugh from the other side of the Plaza, "Nice work Kurogiri."
The misty servant had managed to open up a portal from underneath All Might and the Nomu.
From the way All Might had the chokehold applied, the two of them were on their sides, allowing the Nomu to use one his arms to teleport from the portal on the ground to another portal that was above All Might and sink his fingers deep into All Might's ribs.
'Shit, he's hitting my weak spot!'
All Might had to release the chokehold in attempt to stop the pain, but the Nomu was quick to get the advantage. It pulled his hand from the portal and quickly wrapped his arms around All Might and sunk it's fingers deep into All Might's sides once again. Bringing great pain to the Symbol of Peace.
"You see that Kurogiri? We have him right were need him."
With All Might now restrained, it was time for Shigaraki's next plain to take shape.
"With All Might pinned down, open a portal underneath him and when we get a good portion of him inside the portal… shut it close, splitting the number one hero into two pieces."
"… Understood, but what of the Nomu? If I do that, it will cut the Nomu in half as well," Kurogiri cautioned.
"Tch, that thing was created to take out All Might, nothing more nothing less. Now, let's put an end to All Might once and for all!"
…
*On the outskirts of the Ruins Zone*
"I think I finally lost them."
A loud sigh was ripped through the area as Togaru was able to break free not just from the villains that was chasing him, but the Ruins Zone entirely.
He was on the outskirts of the Zone.
He continued walking forward, giving the student a view of the Central Plaza, and what a view it was.
Togaru walked onto a sight of the same bird monster that walked through the warp gate along with the other villains, sinking his fingers deep into All Might's side, bringing an expression of great pain on the number one hero's face.
"What the fuck?"
Surrounding the two burly beings were the unconscious bodies of villains. The same villains that Aizawa was dealing with.
While watching the struggle, he realized that Monoma may still be in the Ruins Zone.
Togaru looked back at the zone, unsure of what to do.
He realized that he just walked into the scene of All Might in great distress. He didn't want to leave the best hero out there to potentially lose to the hands of Nomu, but he didn't want to just leave Monoma out into the Ruins Zone.
He remembered that Monoma was currently using Setsuna's quirk and that Monoma's time usage for whatever quirk he carried was rather limited, so it would be a safe bet to assume that he was just out there quirkless.
Togaru kept looking back and forth between the Ruins Zone and All Might, trying to decide who he needed to help
"Shit… I'm sure All Might could find a way to beat that bird freak."
He started to head back into the Ruins Zone.
"AGH!"
A loud cry of pain echoed throughout the facility.
Togaru stopped dead in his tracks when he heard it. He slowly looked behind him and saw a portal that formed from underneath All Might and the bird monster.
The portal had half-way swallowed the two and it looked like the portal was trying to cut both in half from the waist down.
Both the Nomu and All Might were crying in pain from the crunching of the bodies from the portal, squeezing the life out them in an agonizingly slow pace.
Togaru's mouth was agape. He was witnessing what was about to be the end of All Might… and all he could do was watch.
"No…"
He took a step forward but halted in hesitation. He didn't know what to do.
He didn't have much control over his quirk and the last thing wanted to do was make the situation worse by bringing unnecessary attention onto himself.
"Fuck," he cursed quietly, upset with himself for not stepping in to help his heroic teacher, due to his fear of his own quirk.
He got down on one knee, looking down at the ground trying to fight tears from leaving his eyes.
'If I'm too afraid to even use my quirk to protect my own teacher then what hope do I have as a goddamn hero?'
Suddenly, the boy felt something shove him from behind.
Togaru's head snapped up to see a now dressed Monoma running into the Central Plaza.
"I don't know causes you to fear your own quirk, but you can't hope to overcome it by just standing there!" The blond boy shouted.
Togaru looked closer at Monoma and saw blades coming out from his arms, which teared up the sleeves of tuxedo hero costume.
Monoma had copied his quirk and was intending to use it to help All Might.
A new fear was building up inside of Togaru. He was once afraid to help All Might and in a matter of seconds, he was now afraid of his classmate running to what could very well be his death.
"Wait! You don't know how to control my quirk!" Togaru yelled.
Monoma either didn't care or listened to what Togaru had to say as he kept running to his teacher, leaving Togaru behind on the outskirts of the Ruins Zone.
He watched on as Monoma ran forward to help, and in Togaru's mind, further driving in the point that he didn't belong with the likes of everyone else.
His quirk was only meant to destroy and harm, and now Monoma was going to head out there to no doubt hurt himself as well.
He held his head down and began to tear up.
'This was a waste of time, why the hell did I think I could become a hero?'
…
*Flashback Scene*
"Your quirk doesn't make you a monster! You could be anything with it! You could even be a hero if you wanted!"
"…"
Silence filled the hospital room.
A young teenage girl with brown hair was lying in a hospital bed with bandages across her face and mostly around her left eye.
"I'm serious Togaru, you could!"
"…"
"… Are you still upset… about what you did… to me?"
"…"
"Listen… it was… an accident, right? You wouldn't really hurt me, would you?"
There was a tearful sniffle, "… No."
"Then there's no problem here! You just manifested your quirk at a late age Togaru. You can't keep beating yourself up over it."
"B-but mom and dad. They said that they're going to send me back to- "
"Don't worry about them! Whatever they do, just know that I forgive you, alright?"
What was once low sniffles was now full-on cries of sorrow.
A seven-year-old Togaru was visiting his freshly awakened foster sister who had just underwent a slew of surgeries from what was done to her.
What was just normal playing around between the two kids suddenly turned frightening when a young Togaru suddenly manifested his quirk while in close contact of his younger sister.
All Togaru remembers is screaming and lots and lots of blood.
"H-how? How can you forgive me after what I did? You were supposed to have your entrance exam into U.A. soon and I took that from you Suma!"
Suma let out a chuckle, "I don't know if it's the morphine causing me to laugh at you or if it's because of your idiocy."
"What?" Togaru replied through his crying.
"Me losing an eye ain't going to be enough to keep me from my dreams of being a hero! So don't think that I'd be stopped so easily by some villain or even a twerp like you! Understand?"
Togaru's crying had calmed a little at Suma's rowdy claim.
"Y-yeah."
"So, like I said, you can be anything you want in this world. Your quirk is only as dangerous as you make it out to be. Everybody has a scary quirk Togaru, but it's yours to master and make something beautiful out of it."
Togaru hesitated to respond.
He was an orphan who was adopted into a non-mutated family that he had known for quite some time, and during that time he had made a great connection with his new sister, the only person he was able to truly feel comfortable around. He was already a mutant looking kid and with his quirk now manifested, it gave him some sharp mandibles to add to his frightening appearance.
He overheard from his foster parents that they were planning on sending him back to the orphanage after what he just did, so this may be the last time he may get to talk to his foster sister.
"You really mean it? I can even be a hero with my quirk?"
"Definitely! Besides, I'm gonna be needing a sidekick, so promise me, promise me that you'll make something spectacular out of your abilities… Got it?"
"…Got it."
*End of Flashback*
…
"I can't… I'm sorry Suma… but I can't," Togaru gritted out, struggling to fight through his fear and help.
With his head held down, he looked back up and saw Monoma still running to All Might.
However, Togaru saw something … something that made his eyes widened.
Back to the running Monoma, he was getting closer to All Might, blades now extended from his arms to try and assist his aching teacher whose lights was now growing dim from the squeezing portal.
What the copy student hadn't realized was that he was walking straight towards another portal that was opened up just for him.
"Sorry child, but this is a matter that doesn't concern the likes of you!" Kurogiri shouted.
"What the hell!?" Monoma yelled.
He saw the portal at the last second and tried to turn away from it, but it was too late. He was trapped in the portal and was slowly getting dragged into it.
"Dammit! Let go of me-"
Without a warning, a heavy shove was given to Monoma. A shove great enough to knock him away from the deadly grasp of Kurogiri's portal.
The push knocked Monoma to the ground.
When he got his bearings together, he looked up to see the once scared Togaru now racing towards All Might. He was much faster than Monoma as he was running to the heroic's teacher like a jaguar in the wild.
Monoma watched on as Togaru had his blades drawn out with a look in his eyes with an intention to actually use them.
He looked on in great interest, wanting to see what his classmate could do.
"Make something spectacular, make something spectacular, make something spectacular."
With tears still streaking from his face, Togaru repeated those three words like a mantra as he was coming to All Might's aid.
The portal and arms were still wrapped around All Might and though his vision was fading to white, and he would soon be meeting his end, he still had some fight left in him.
With his strong hand he gripped the solid ground that wasn't taken over by Kurogiri's portal and tried to get himself free, but the Nomu's powerful arms were still dragging him down.
'I can't… I can't have it end like this, not in front of these students.'
"Let go of my teacher you bastard!"
Suddenly, All Might felt a great sense of relief coming off his sides.
The once vice like grip the Nomu had on him was gone for some reason, and the squeezing force of the portal wasn't as strong as it once was.
The hand that he had on the solid ground outside the portal was a great anchor for him in breaking free from the portal.
He crawled out of the portal and got back to his feet in an instant, taking deep and rapid breaths to gather himself.
His vision was now coming back, and he was actually surprised to actually see what or who it was that helped him escape from the clutches of the villain.
There standing was Togaru, with blood on his blades that formed from his arms.
All Might looked back at the Nomu and saw now an armless monster ,its arms just laying there on the floor which appeared to be cleanly severed from his body.
The monster was shrieking out in pain as he rolled around the ground, blood spurting from where his arms once were.
…
"NO!" Shigaraki yelled from the other side of the Central Plaza, "We had him right where we needed him, and that damn bug brat came from nowhere!"
The pale blue haired villain was once again scratching his neck without abandon.
Kurogiri got rid of all his portals from the other side of the plaza and fully came back to his master.
"Our plan is not a failure yet master. Did you forget about one of the other special abilities the Nomu has?"
…
All Might managed to catch his breath and though he was still reeling from all that happened to his ribs.
"Young Togaru…" All Might groaned out, wiping away some blood from his mouth.
Hearing the number one hero say his name made the young student's heart jump. All Might was still looking at the Nomu that was writhing in pain, but it still felt like his gleaming blue eyes were still on him.
"Y-yes?"
"I… I thank you deeply for your assistance… I couldn't help but notice… that during your battle trial … that you were rather hesitant to use your quirk, but let this moment serve as a reminder of what you can truly do with it. Got it?"
The tears from Kamakiri had dried up and he had no more to shed, after remembering the talk he had with his sister all those years ago and hearing what All Might said to him, he couldn't help but crack a smile.
"Got it."
The joyous moment between the two was cut short however as there was something strange going on with the Nomu.
His arms were cut off, but it looked like something was forming there. The flesh wounds that came from the loss of his arms were now closing and beginning to lump up almost like a tumor.
"Stand back!" All Might warned Togaru.
The lump that was forming from the Nomu's arms suddenly gave birth to a new pair of arms.
Togaru was left stunned by what he saw, "What the hell?"
"Leave Togaru. Now!" All Might directed, breaking the student from his stunned state.
Togaru hesitated, "But All Might, you aren't really looking so good and that monster-"
"Don't you worry about me Young Togaru! Hear me well! Everyone and Everything has its limits, and I plan on bringing this monster here to its limits as well!" All Might shouted, "NOW GO!"
Togaru was skeptical of All Might's confidence, but the way the number one hero spoke to him and from his body language, Togaru realized that All Might was 100% sure of himself, even if the damage done to his body said otherwise.
He wanted to stay and help his teacher who was masking the pain he was in, but if All Might believed he could dispose of this monster, then Togaru should believe as well.
"Fine, but we're all looking forward to having more class with you! Remember that!"
The bug student ran towards the stairs and to his suprise he wasn't the only one heading there.
In the corner of his eye, he saw Hiryu, Awase, Manga running towards the stairs as well.
"Where the hell are you all coming from?" Togaru asked.
Manga did his best to reply to the question, "We *wheeze* were coming *wheeze* from-"
"Me and Manga were in escaping from the Flood Zone, when we saw Hiryu falling from the ceiling. Manga used up the last his quirk ability to create a bounce pad for Hiryu. We then saw some villains and decided to try and leave here undetected, so we went around the Downpour Zone and snuck over to the steps," Awase finished
"What he said. *wheeze*"
The four boys were finally running up the stairs now.
"By the way, we saw what you did there Togaru. That was pretty badass! Cutting that monsters arms like that and freeing All Might," Hiryu remarked.
"Not to mention, you actually made sure to not hurt All Might as well there," Awase added.
A small bashful smile was about to creep onto the boy's face, he could let his emotions show to All Might, but he didn't want his emotions to show in front of his classmates.
"Hold off on the compliments, All Might still has some work to do in getting rid of that thing."
"Yeah, and besides let's not forget my role in saving All Might as well."
The voice that just spoke didn't come from any of the four boys.
Togaru looked to his side and saw Monoma running up the stairs with him.
"Monoma?" Togaru said, surprised to see him by his side, as Monoma wasn't running with him.
"Heyo" Monoma replied innocently.
"Where'd you come from? And what do you mean your role saving All Might!? I saved you jackass!" Togaru fumed.
Monoma waged his finger at the taller boy, "Ah, you did save me, but wouldn't you say that me trying to help did something that prompted you into action?"
"You mean you copying my quirk and nearly running into that portal? I… I guess you did, but that's not something you should be taking credit for!" Togaru chided.
"Ah but take the credit I shall!" Monoma proudly proclaimed.
Togaru was about to respond, but he just let out a defeated sigh.
"Let's just get the hell out of here."
…
*Meanwhile at entrance of the Conflagration Zone*
"Regeneration," Yui said, as she, Reiko, Pony and Tetsu watched everything that went on.
"I don't know what that thing is, but it sure as hell isn't human," Tetsu commented.
"That monster most likely was created specifically for someone like All Might," Reiko speculated.
"Man, if they can just create creeps like that, then these guys are a major problem then. We can't let those two villains in front of us escape!" Tetsu said, as he began to harden his body into steel.
"Wait!" Pony yelled, sticking her arm out to stop Tetsu.
The three students looked at the injured Pony who had her eyes deadest on Shigaraki and Kurogiri. She hadn't taken her eyes off of them, not even when All Might was fighting the Nomu as she noticed something about the mist villain.
As Kurogiri was creating portals to try and trap All Might, pieces of the mist from his body went away.
While Yui, Tetsu and Reiko were watching All Might and Nomu, Pony saw it. She saw Kurogiri's metal neck brace. It would normally be hidden away through the black mist, but with the portals he was creating it was out there for the undetected Pony to see.
The sight of the metal brace had Pony's mind brewing, "I think I have an idea."
…
"Ah… Regeneration," Shigaraki said in a relieving tone, "Father really gave us something of top quality."
The once amputated Nomu regenerated his arms again and was good as new.
"Looks like we're still in business Kurogiri, create another portal over to All Might and the Nomu. Only this time, create one so we can get a closer look at the action between the two."
"Yes sir- GRAH!" Kurogiri let out a cry of pain when he responded to his master's request.
Shigaraki's head snapped over to his partner and immediately saw what it was that caused Kurogiri to cry out in pain.
He looked at the side of Kurogiri's neck and saw what looks like two horns that stabbed through his metal brace.
The well-dressed villain tried to pull and yank the horns from his brace and his tries turned into a very, very brief moment of success.
He pulled the horns from his brace, but in the process of doing that, he created a large crack in his brace.
Kurogiri's mist form was kept apart by the metal brace and with the crack in it, he was beginning to slowly lose control and his form.
"No! NONONONO!" Kurogiri uncharacteristically yelled.
Kurogiri looked at to where the horns came from and saw four students near the Conflagration Zone watching them.
Shigaraki snarled at the sight of the students, "Those brats… I didn't know they were there!"
He began to walk towards the students with a sadistic look in his eye, "Let's take care of these low-level brats."
Kurogiri wanted to obey his master's orders, but with the way he was now, he knew he couldn't.
"I-I'm sorry master… but I can't. M-My form is leaking out… If you want to make a clean escape… we will h-have to leave n-now! Before it's too late," Kurogiri moaned.
Shigaraki took a look at his servant and saw that more and more of him was slipping out from the massive crack from his brace.
He also looked back at All Might and his Nomu and saw that they were about to engage once again.
He clicked his teeth and began to scratch himself again, realizing what he needed to do.
"Fine," he grunted out, "I was on the grasp of getting rid of All Might, only for my chances to get washed away as it was getting good."
"… I'm sorry mast-"
"SHUT IT! Just take me back to the damn hideout!"
A shameful Kurogiri obliged, "As you wish."
He took one last look at his Nomu, "All I can hope for now is that you do exactly what you were created for."
Shigaraki was waiting for Kurogiri to create the portal to take him away from the havoc he caused at USJ when he heard someone yell from behind him.
He paused and looked behind him when he saw a shiny grey fist coming directly towards his face.
"You're not going anywhere!"
Before Shigaraki could register what was happening, he was hit with a great force. A force that sent him flying, flying directly into a portal that Kurogiri just created.
Tetsu landed a direct punch to the villain's hand covered face. He thought that it would just knock the villain to the ground, but the moment the punch landed, so did the portal manifest they wanted to use to escape from USJ.
When Shigaraki's body went through the portal, the two villains were gone.
Tetsu looked around for any sign of the two but saw that they weren't with them anymore.
"Shit!" Tetsu yelled, "They got away!"
The other three students came over to Tetsu to check and see if the two villains were really gone, with Pony dragging behind everyone else due to her injured leg.
"Well, thanks to Pony's great aim, at least the two leads of this plot are gone now," Yui chimed in.
Pony gave her a cheery smile while taking a seat on the ground, "Thanks Yui! I'm just glad that I was able to hit him in the first shot."
"It's not over yet," Reiko interjected, "We may have gotten rid of those two, but there's still that monster All Might's dealing with."
…
The two forces collided again, and this time they weren't grappling each other.
Both All Might and the Nomu dished out a barrage of punches against each other, both of their fists colliding at a blurring speed, sending big shockwaves throughout the area.
…
*Back in the Downpour Zone*
The ground began to rumble in the domed area.
"What the hell?" Sen questioned.
Sen, Jurota, Kinoko, Kosei and Setsuna looked at the ground. Unsure what was happening as the rumblings weren't stopping.
"I don't know what's happening, but it must be coming from outside. Let me check before we head out there!" Setsuna offered.
She used her quirk to detach her eyes from her body and headed for the door to get a view of what it was that was going on.
…
Though All Might's body was wearing down from his time as a hero, one thing that hadn't wore down was his resolve and will.
He had his feet planted firmly on the ground as he dished out a storm of punches against the Nomu and the Nomu gave back to All Might as well with countless equally strong punches, but there was a difference to how the two were hitting each other.
Where the Nomu was wildly hitting All Might wherever he could, All Might's punches on the Nomu were targeted.
He intentionally made sure to mix a good few of his punches on the Nomu's upper right side of it's abdominal.
"I don't know who made you, but if you were created to take me out then they did a pretty damn good job on you!" All Might praised the monster through the fist fight, "However!"
All Might rotated his body as the Nomu kept on the hitting him with blows.
He managed to absorb the blows and turned his body back to the Nomu and gave it a massive left hook to the right side of its abdominal once more.
The punch connected.
The seemingly unstoppable monster… had stopped.
When the punch hit it, it immediately clutched its liver and groaned in pain.
The Nomu was in a vulnerable position and All Might was quick to jump on it.
He gave a straight right to the Nomu's face and sent it flying towards the fountain, completely breaking the structure from the size and weight of the Nomu that came crashing through it.
All Might wiped the blood from his mouth and gave the Nomu little reprieve as he ran for it and gave it some more blows.
…
The rumblings in the Downpour Zone went away as All Might took the fight away from near location.
Setsuna couldn't believe what she was seeing.
There was her heroics teacher absolutely decimating the terrifying monster that came through the warp gate with all the villains.
They were going all over the Central Plaza.
The Nomu would try to get the upper hand, but All Might would snuff out its efforts.
"No way!"
"What's going on Setsuna?" Jurota asked the eyeless classmate of his.
Her eyes were gone but the rest of her body was still with the group.
"It's All Might! And he's absolutely beating the crap out of the big brainy bird villain that came over!"
All four of the other student's eyes gleamed when they heard what Setsuna reported.
"All Might's here!" Kinoko cheered.
"Alright!" Kosei pumped.
"I think it's safe to come on over, they're going all over the place!" Setsuna told them all.
The students (with Jurota carrying Setsuna eyeless body) began to head towards the door to see what Setsuna was seeing
…
The two kept on with their fight with All Might getting the upper hand throughout all of it.
The Nomu was beginning to wear out and All Might knew it.
All Might didn't have much left in the tank himself either, but he needed to just keep going. Keep going until he drew his last breath, and he wasn't going to let that happen today.
The fight between the two was brough back to where it started, near the stairs.
The Nomu's harrowing face was made even worse with the punishment All Might put it through.
Some of its sharp teeth were punched out, its beak was bent and one of the eyes that was inside of its brain was popped out and hanging from its optic nerve. The Nomu's Shock Absorption allowed it to take some damage, but there was only so much it could take.
"Like I said, everything and everyone has their limits… and you've just about reached yours," All Might commented, nearly out of breath.
All Might wasn't in much better shape either, his body and face from the fight were bruised and battered, but he would be damned if he showed his fatigue.
The Nomu could barely move at this point, it was just wildly leaping at All Might without regard.
All Might was able to step out of the way and land a powerful punch on the Nomu's face as it failed to jump on him.
The Nomu was now on one knee from the punch.
It let out a weak cry as it was clearly out of energy at this point. It was dazed and out of it.
All Might's left hand grabbed ahold of the monster's head and lifted him up and was preparing to give what he hoped would be the finishing blow.
With blood coming out of his mouth All Might gave the Nomu some parting words.
"No matter what or who it is. Anybody that threatens the lives of the people, will get served by the righteous hand of justice!"
All Might cocked his fist back.
"I'm not sure if you even understand the words coming out of my mouth, but hopefully these four words registers in your brain before I do away with you."
Steam began to come from All Might's tan body, the largest amount coming out of his right hand.
"GO BEYOND! PLUS ULTRA!"
…
*Meanwhile, on the outside of USJ*
Togaru, Hiryu, Rin, Manga and Monoma made it outside out the building.
They were greeted with Ibara, Kojiro, Shoda, Kuroiro and a passed out Matvey along with their homeroom teacher and the rescue specialist Thirteen, who looked to be in a bad shape as his suit was torn apart.
"What happened to her!?" Hiryu yelled at the sight of Thirteen.
Shoda looked at Hiryu with a distressed look before looking back at Thirteen "The warp guy got a hold Thirteen and use their own quirk against them, leaving them like this. I can still feel their pulse so that's a good sign at least."
The five students were quiet and solemn at seeing the teacher.
Aizawa was on the phone with the police and the school to let them know what was going on.
Apparently, the staff was already on their way over here as Inasa actually raced over there to reach out for help. On his way over to U.A. he ran into All Might who was already on the way over to USJ.
He put his phone away and approached the five students.
"You five alright?" He asked.
Togaru nodded, "We're good… but I can't say the same for All Might though, he's still in there fighting that monster and he-"
*BOOM*
A loud crash could be heard by everyone who was outside.
Togaru and the students looked around to see what it was that made the noise, but Aizawa knew where the source of it was… matter of fact, he was looking right at it.
On the other side of the building was the same monster that nearly killed him and Matvey. It was flying and flailing towards the sky in great speed, almost as if it was attached to a rocket flying into space.
The homeroom teacher let out a snicker and pointed at the Nomu flying away.
"What was that about All Might?"
The students all looked at what their teacher was pointing at and were struck with disbelief.
"Hey everyone!"
Everyone turned around and saw the orange haired Kendo making her way down an emergency ladder while carrying… someone behind her back.
"Kendo? Where are you coming from? And who's that you're carrying?" Monoma asked.
"I'm coming from the emergency exit. Matvey dropped me off at the catwalk in the ceiling and I made my way out here… as for this guy…" She dropped the villain, giving everyone a view of who she was carrying, and also showing what she's done.
The man looked like one of the villains that attacked them.
He wore a dark green sleeveless bodysuit with black boots. His face was hidden by a bone grey mask resembling a skull.
"While I was heading out from the catwalk, I spotted this guy. He probably didn't expect anyone to come up to where he was, so I was able to knock him out with my good hand. And I also think that this guy might be responsible for there being no signal inside."
From the bump on the villain's head, it looked like she got a good hit on him too.
"But I think that guy' s not as important as what just happened now. What was that noise?"
"… Your heroics teacher just did what he normally does," Was all Aizawa responded with.
…
*Back inside of USJ*
The entire facility went quiet.
The only thing that could be heard was the heavy breathing of the victor of the war that had just taken place.
The remaining students inside of the building got to see it all unfold and much like the students on the outside, they were all left in disbelief.
There was a giant hole in the roof of the building, a hole created after All Might delivered the mother of all punches to the Nomu, sending it sky high into oblivion.
All Might stood in the center of it all. One arm raised in his signature pose after saving the day.
His eyes were fading, and he could barely move.
He had little energy left, but whatever remained he spent the last of it to look to his left.
There, All Might just so happened to find some of the remaining low-level villains.
Some of them came from the Ruins Zone. The same ones that were looking Togaru and Monoma.
The others were the ones who were running away from Shigaraki when he turned the deer antler villain to dust. They all ran to the Ruins Zone, where they linked up with other villains and grouped together to try and take down anyone they can, and they decided to start with All Might.
They all felt so confident that they could take him down, especially if they had the Nomu's help.
But with their trump card gone, and after witnessing what All Might did to it, their confidence in taking down All Might went right out the window. Now, they just wanted to leave.
When the bloodied number hero turned to look at them, they all had a shiver run through their spine.
"U-u-uh h-hey there… All Might!" One of the villains greeted shrinking under the gaze of the number one hero.
All Might replied to them with more heavy breathing.
"W-We were just leaving here! Apologies! Totally didn't mean you or any of these wonderful kids here any harm!"
The villains then began to walk away from the number one hero and started making their way towards the steps, not at all interested in dealing with All Might.
The villains were busy chatting with each other as they walked up the stairs, acting like a group of friends done with a strenuous work shift.
"Man, we sure learned a lot today! Huh fellas?" One of them said.
"Oh, I don't think the learning here is done quite yet."
The villains looked up the stairs to see who it was that was talking and was greeted with the staff of U.A. looking down at them.
The Modern Art teacher Midnight brought out a whip and cracked it loudly, "As a matter of fact, allow us to teach you everything we know."
"Why must you make everything sound so disgusting," Present Mic added.
The bright and hopeful look on the villains' faces was washed away with a look of fear as they knew they were about to be in for a very rough time.
…
The police and the staff finally arrived at the scene and took care of the rest of the villains.
Tetsu, Reiko, Pony, Yui, met up with Jurota, Kosei, Kinoko, Setsuna and Sen.
They were about to be escorted out of the facility with the police until they spotted All Might, who hadn't move from the spot since he sent the Nomu flying out of building.
"What's up with All Might? He hasn't moved at all," Kosei observed.
"He must be tired after everything," Yui reckoned.
"You think All Might can sleep while standing?" Pony asked.
"People cannot sleep while standing up Pony, especially with their arms held up the way All Might has his." Jurota countered.
"You're really gonna call All Might ordinary after what he just did?" Tetsu asked.
"Of course not, I'm just saying that people can't sleep while standing," Jurota repeated.
"Hm, well let's test that theory," Tetsu challenged.
The other students didn't know what he meant by that, but they would know soon enough.
"HEY ALL MIGHT! YOU AWAKE OVER THERE!?" Tetsu shouted.
They were a good distance from the statuesque number one hero, but Tetsu's loudness and method of checking All Might was still unnecessary to nearly everyone. Especially to his classmates who was right next to him.
Tetsu's status check earned him a solid knock to his head by Setsuna, who's ears suffered the most.
"You idiot! Are you try to see if All Might's awake by making us all deaf!?"
Tetsu rubbed the top of his head that was just hit, "Ouch! I was just trying to see if he was okay!"
The students happened to walk into Aizawa who was helping in cleaning up the area.
"He is okay Tetsu," Aizawa assured, "You all just head up the stairs and get back with the rest of the class."
The students all did as they were told and went up the stairs to meet up with their classmates.
This left only the officers, medic, the U.A. staff and All Might as the only ones left in the building.
Aizawa took a good look at All Might and saw that he was close to losing his mighty form.
And with the students all gone now, he let himself revert back to his true self.
A few of the officers in the area helped the transformed number one hero who collapsed to the ground.
The police department also happen to know of All Might's true state and they all made a promise not to leak it to the public.
All the years All Might has helped the police department and the world, keeping this secret of his is the least they could do for him.
Aizawa walked along as All Might was being administered aid for his injuries. He eventually made his way to the Flood Zone. He saw some of the officers arresting some villains on the boat.
Manga made sure to inform the officers on how they can avoid the effect of his quirk that was still present on the boat.
Aizawa was about to turn away until he saw something that caught his eye.
On the other side of the lake was a bright gold jacket that belonged to Matvey.
Aizawa remembered that he didn't have it on during the whole ordeal.
He went over and picked up.
It was wet and tossed aside carelessly. From the time he knew Matvey, this seemed like something he wouldn't normally do with his clothes, especially with something as flashy as his jacket.
'He must've been in the water,' Aizawa thought.
He unfurled the gold and black jacket and examined it.
The jacket looked like something that an 80's American pop star would wear, which is probably what Matvey was going for.
He scoffed at the boy's costume choices and folded the jacket to give it back to the student once he heads backs out.
He had a lot to think about with not just Matvey's power, but with the breach, the monster that came through and everybody's health.
Like Shoda said, Thirteen had a pulse and from what the Medics that took them away said, they would be okay, but they needed to due treatment as soon as possible.
As for Kendo, her hand was broken and she needed it to be tended to so she went to the hospital with the rescue specialist.
"HOLY CRAP!" A familiar voice shouted, "ALL MIGHT DID THIS!?"
Aizawa sighed and turned around to see his childhood friend Hizashi's mouth agape at the giant hole in the ceiling of USJ.
"No, that was me," Aizawa dryly joked.
Hizashi looked at the homeroom teacher.
"Are you trying to be funny?"
"No… I'm not," Aizawa responded before turning his heels and making the walk back to the exit.
The teacher reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. He didn't want to call anyone, but with him being back inside USJ he wanted to see if there was any signal now, and indeed there was.
He put his phone back in his pocket and made his way up the stairs.
"It's pretty miraculous that the students are all okay. Wouldn't you say?"
Aizawa looked down at his side and saw the principal of U.A. walking up the stairs beside him.
"I'm not a big believer in miracles… but given the situation and how they all responded to it, they all did pretty good. Especially given on how this might've been their first time in actual peril," Aizawa responded.
"My, it seems like you've built up a special connection with your new students,"
"I wouldn't go that far yet… but they all show signs of promise."
The two reached the top of the stairs and the homeroom teacher took a look back at the building and observed all that's happened and wondered where his student's mind was after today's events.
As he was looking around, his eyes got stuck to where he and Matvey once were, the exact spot where Matvey managed to heal him from his injuries. The only proof that this ever happened was the now dried up blood that was splattered all around the ground where they both nearly died.
Aizawa had many questions to ask Matvey about what he exactly did, but the Russian student had passed out once again when they made it outside.
He would've loved to have him heal Kendo and Thirteen, but the medics would be the best bet for the two until Recovery Girl could take over and handle the rest.
"Are you going to be joining me outside?" Nezu questioned, wondering what the reason for Aizawa could be staring so intensely at one particular spot of the facility.
Aizawa took his eyes off the spot and looked back Nezu, "Yeah."
The two then walked out of the facility, in a sense, putting a close to everything that happened today.
AN: There we go, just wrapped up the USJ Arc.
Man, that was a lot to get through, but I think I finished up the arc quite nicely.
The chapter had a good focus on Togaru as I wanted to flesh his character out and not make him just Class 1B's Bakugo.
Special Thanks to Arioses for beta reading this chapter.
Hopefully you all enjoyed the chapter!
Feel free to leave a review/comment and follow/favorite
Will be back with a new chapter soon!
