Alright, so I have chosen to continue this and see what you all think of what this one is all about, and this is a flashback of what went down long ago and how the promise was made and how it was forgotten, along with a confrontation with Sam Sharp. Enjoy reading this one guys.
"Luna's forgotten promise."
(The Loud House, Franklin Avenue Many years ago.)
We see a 1-year old white haired baby, with one tooth and he is busy playing with his toy blocks and his name is Lincoln Loud, and the baby is playing alongside someone, his big sister the 5-year old Luna Loud and the little girl is happy to be there and keep her baby brother company as he is playing.
At the moment, her other sisters are just doing their own thing, while Rita is tending to the garden in the back and Lynn Sr is at work, so Luna was left to watch over and play with Lincoln and the baby always loved spending time with the sister whom he is fond of the most.
Luna places down the small block onto the block Lincoln placed, and then Lincoln does the same as he has another block and he giggles and claps and this makes Luna smile to see how happy her baby brother is. "Do you wanna play with Bun-Bun little brother?"
Lincoln sees his plush rabbit and he giggles and claps and reaches for it, and so she gives him his toy rabbit and then Luna hears someone calling her name. "Be right back baby brother." She then gets up and checks if someone called her name, but she doesn't know that Lincoln slowly gets up and he waddles towards the couch and tries to climb it.
Luna then comes back. "Apparently mommy wasn't even calling my name, she sneezed my name by mistake and... Lincoln! No!" Luna goes over and saves her baby brother from falling, he was at the edge of the couch and clapping and he was about to fall.
Luna managed to grab him before he fell and this kinda startles him, but then he stops and he sees who saved his fall and it is none other than Luna. The baby then feels Luna cradle him and he whimpers. Luna then places a small kiss onto his forehead and she whispers. "Linky, don't do that. You almost got hurt."
Lincoln then hugs Luna and he cuddles next to her, and Luna returns the embrace and she does what she can to comfort her upset baby brother, they then depart from the hug and sit down on the ground, but then her baby brother looks to her and he babbles words, then... He speaks.
"Ma...Mama... Mama!" Luna is surprised to hear this, but then she realizes what he just called her.
"No, no. Lincoln, I am not your mama, I'm your big sister, Luna."
She then sees Lincoln clapping his hands and he laughs and giggles and then speaks some more. "Mama... Mama... Mama." He then gets up and waddles towards Luna, and she opens her arms and she hugs her brother, and she hears him call her. "Mama." over and over again, and this touches the 5-year old girls heart, and she feels as if he does love her.
Luna chuckles. "Alright, alright Linky. You can secretly call me your mama, but know this..." She departs from the hug and kisses his cheek. "My real name is Luna... Luna Loud, and I am your big sister, the one who made the promise to be there for you and that we would be the very best of friends, little brother."
Lincoln giggles and he touches his sister's face, and this makes Luna chuckle and she shares a loving nose kiss with her baby brother.
(Three years later.)
We now see an 8 year old Luna Loud and she is looking around the front yard. "Lincoln? Lincoln?" she is confused and concerned. "Now where the heck is my little brother." she then decides to go to the front yard, and so she heads there and she hears the cries from her brother.
"Someone, anyone! Help me!"
This alarms Luna, and so she races over there and she sees Lynn Jr race into the house with excitement and then Luna sees her brother, Lincoln dangling from the tree branch and he is trying to hold on, but he is going to fall. "Lincoln! What the heck? What happened?!"
"L-Lynn dared me to do t-this! But she le-left me here! Luna!"
Luna then thinks of an idea, she then has one. "Hang on, I'm coming!" she then recalls her time in gym class and thankfully she is good on the climbing gig. Luna then begins to climb the tree, and she climbs it quickly and has total determination and motivation inside of her. "Hold on, I'm coming!"
Luna makes it and then she grabs her brother before he loses his grip. Luna then sits well-balanced on the tree branch and she cradles her little brother who cries into her embrace, and she does what she can to comfort him. "Shhhh, there, there Linky. It's alright, it's all fine. No need for tears now, we're safe. Look, we're gonna get down from here, now close your eyes."
Lincoln does so, and Luna sees the trampoline and so, she falls from the tree and lands on the trampoline with her feet and she bounces around while still cradling her brother and keeping him safe, and then she slowly stops bouncing and then gets off of the trampoline.
She then cradles and hugs her brother and then they depart from the hug. "Are you feeling alright? Are you hurt?"
Lincoln shakes his head in denial and he whimpers. "Thank you... Luna." He then hugs her again, and Luna comforts him some more, and then she kisses his cheek.
"Don't worry, Lynn will be in big trouble for what she did, and you little brother need to be careful when taking dares from her, you're too young and you can't do the crazy jerky stuff she does, now come on. We need to tell mom and dad about this."
As they are walking back home, Luna can feel Lincoln gripping onto her and still afraid and then she whispers into his ear. "Everything is gonna be alright, my baby brother. As long as I am around, and as long as I am your big brother, then I will do whatever I can to protect you and keep you safe..."
Lincoln sniffles and asks. "D-Do you promise me Luna?"
Luna smiles and she opens the door of the house. "I promise Lincoln, I always will be there for you, because we're a brother and sister bonded together, and I will never ever let you handle problems alone and I will always protect you... A promise I will never, ever break and never ever forget. I love you Lincoln"
The duo head into the house, and they prepare to tell their parents about what had gone down, and how much trouble Lynn Jr is for what she did, but what Luna doesn't know is that this is where her bond with Lincoln will grow to more than being the big sister who will be there for him, his legal guardian.
(Royal Woods General Hospital. Present Day.
We return to the hospital and we see a 15-year old Luna Loud staring at her still unconscious 11-year old brother Lincoln Loud, and she holds his hand and then she looks to the necklace she has in her hands and she sighs. She then looks to her still hurt looking brother and she sheds some tears.
Luna then whispers into his ear. "Lincoln, I am sorry for what I did and I am sorry for breaking the promise from long ago... I didn't mean to forget and break it, I just... I was busy with what I wanted with my dream, I let music and what I want for my future blind me, I was blinded by the lights."
She then holds her brother's hand and then she kisses his forehead. "But, not anymore. Lincoln, I won't break and I won't forget... I will keep you safe, and I will make sure that you aren't gonna get into any trouble. I will always be there for you... Because we are and will always be the best of friends."
Luna doesn't know that she let go of the necklace and then Sam catches it and then she opens it and she sees what is inside, and then she looks towards Luna and Sam is at the other side of the bed and away from Luna and she doesn't look pleased. "So, this is the forgotten promise? Wow, nice call Lunes." She doesn't sound pleased. "How many god damn times are you gonna keep lying to me?"
Luna then breaks away from her brother and she sighs. "Sam, I just... Give that back."
Sam doesn't return it and she asks. "Luna, I have been with you and supported you as you supported me as we had this road of a dang good relationship, and we have been always been on good terms, and I always hear you talk about how close and awesome you are with your little brother."
"Made me see so much bonding time, as I have with my little bro whom I would always keep close to my heart because he means a whole lot to me, and I believed that Lincoln meant a whole lot to you. So, tell me Luna Marie Loud. Was all that a god damn lie?"
Luna doesn't respond and she looks to her brother. "Sam, give me back the necklace."
Sam refuses to. "No, you need to answer my question and I need to know the dang truth. Was everything you said about being close to Lincoln a lie? All the good times you two had, was that all just some hoax or lie to get me to like you and be interested in you?"
"Were you using the whole little brother being close to you stick just because I had an only brother? Did you even think for once on how you thought about every stupid word you told me? Do you even care or love your baby brother? Because apparently, the only time I see that sibling time is right now and..."
Luna then gets up and she jumps over the bed and is now on the other side and she marches over to Sam with one hell of a glare and this makes Sam back up to the wall and Luna glares at her. "You better watch those words dude before I god damn shove them back down your throat, Sharp."
"I love my brother, I always have and I always will. Lincoln Loud and I... We were close, and that was a long time ago and I never understood why my bond with Lincoln wasn't as strong as it was before, and I now know that it was all because of that damned talent in rock n' roll that drove us apart and made him get into trouble while I fell in line with the other talented maniacs I call my sisters."
"Everything I said was all true, I did have fun times with my brother and I didn't wanna say the truth about the damned bad times because I didn't wanna make you feel upset about me, and if you wanna break up with me then go the right fucking ahead and do it Samantha Sharp."
Luna then wipes away her tears. "Because right now, the only thing I wanna do is be there for my brother, and I still love you. But if you think we're not meant to be then go ahead and leave for all I care, do what you want..." She then makes her hand into a fist.
Sam is now afraid seeing this, but then Luna grabs Sam's hand. "The necklace, my brother's necklace... Now."
Sam shivers and she hands the necklace back to Luna, and then Luna backs away. "You can leave if you want, I don't care what everyone else thinks. What matters to me now, is that I make things right and fix the broken and forgotten promise."
Luna then goes back to sitting by her brother's bed side and she places the necklace in his hand and then she stares with hurt and concern for her brother.
Sam on the other hand is stunned by what had just happened and seeing how Luna cares for her brother, is making her a believer than she does wanna make things right. Sam then grabs another chair and she sits next to Luna. "Lunes, I'm sorry for my outburst."
"I just... I was so angry that he took the hit while you were on your headphones, I don't do that because I know the risks and I am not that devoted to music, because I always wanna put my life and my family's first before anything else. Luna, I'm sorry for thinking what you said was a lie. I didn't mean it that..."
"No, it's fine." Luna then kisses her brother's cheek. "My lies have gotten me into bad problems, and this seems to be the last straw and a very clear message, that i cannot make this damage happen again, or the next time this happens, Lincoln might not make it and I would never ever live with myself if he did die. He means a lot to me, he always will be, even if our bond was shattered long ago."
Sam then holds Luna's hand. "He'll pull through, Lincoln is a tough and amazing kid. Also, I won't break up with you because we're just angry and I understand... I just, what are you gonna do by the time he wakes up and recalls what went down on how he got here?"
Luna sighs and she looks towards Sam. "Be a big sister." She then looks towards her brother. "And see what I can do to make it up to him, and rekindle what we lost long ago." sam then places a hand on Luna's shoulder and she too has tears.
The two 15-year old teenagers continue to watch as Lincoln loud remains unconscious and healing, dee down Luna feels determined to make her plan happen. 'Lincoln, I am not gonna break and forget this promise. I god damn swear on it... Also, I think the time has come for me to accept the right punishment, and stray away from my hobby, dream and future... For you.'
(The Loud House.)
With the night still here, we see all the loud family members in the living room and all of them have discussed about the whole ordeal that went down earlier and the parents, along with Lori have a plan on how to settle this ordeal.
Lynn Sr then speaks. "Alright girls, so by the time Lincoln comes back home, do not crowd him or ask him to be part of anything you all do. He is still gonna be on the wheel chair for the next two months and we don't want him to strain himself or get pushed into doing something he cannot do."
"Also, if he does need some help then feel free to aid him, but under what he needs to say, also he won't be able to do much chores and when he goes up the stairs, then the lift that Lisa made and installed will do the trick. Lisa, did you make sure that thing is safe?"
Lisa nods. "Indeed, there is no chances of it failing or breaking down, unless the power goes out then it will not function well. Also, I have made sure that there is a well-maintained seatbelt to keep our brother from getting lose and falling off of it."
Rita nods. "Good work, Lisa." She then recalls something. "Also, don't even think about making some kind of formula to make your brother heal faster, we don't know what the side effects might be and if you try something then we will ground you for the rest of the year till New Year's Eve, are we clear on that young lady?"
Lisa nods. "Understood."
Then Lynn Sr looks to his daughter who also bares a portion of his nickname. "Lynn, when your brother comes back, do not push him into participating with any sports, and don't try and help him with walking. He will walk and get the therapy when the time comes, if you do something to your brother then I swear I will have all of your sports stuff put into storage and have you take ballet classes, are we clear Lynn Marie Loud?"
Lynn Jr was afraid of those and she nods, and then Lucy holds her hand to comfort her about this and deep down Lynn Jr doesn't wanna try and interact with her brother, she feels bad that he for hit and hurt. 'I have seen a lot of injuries, but I don't think I have seen what Linc has been through.'
Lori then speaks. "And one more thing, nobody try to intervene with what Luna has to do. Since she is literally the reason why Lincoln is in this state, she has to be the one to do almost all forms of service for him, and we're gonna make sure she doesn't stray away from what her punishment is."
"Also, I had a long and very responsible talk with mom and dad..." She looks to them and they both nod. "We have come to an agreement that Luna is gonna be grounded until Lincoln is back on his feet, and she is not to do anything with music in the time being. Lynn, you are helping Luan pack all of the musical instruments into the boxes and have them stored into the garage, and be careful with all of them."
Lynn and Luan nod, they know what to do. Lori then looks to the others. "Also, Luna will do some of the chores Lincoln has to do, while most of his other chores are gonna be split for the rest of us to handle, are we clear on that?"
The others don't seem keen about doing more chores, but then they see the glare from Lori and how serious she is. "Are we clear on that?" They all nod and gulp seeing her in this state, they have never ever seen Lori in this kind of responsible and mature manner. Even Lynn Sr and Rita are surprised to see Lori like this.
Then Leni raises her hand, and this confuses Lori. "What is it Leni?"
Leni then stands up. "If there is free time, like legit free time. I need someone older than me to help me find a car so I can use it. I am 16 and I have my driver's license and another car would be great, since we only have Vanzilla to drive around."
Lori sighs, and then Rita speaks. "Leni, we know you need to go to work, but taking..."
"No, it's not just about work, mom" replied Leni with concern. "All of this that happened to Lincoln went down because no one came to pick them up and I feel to blame for this because I should've waited for them, and I need a car so I can be able to escort or pick up anyone else within the younger siblings, so this doesn't happen ever again. I can handle the gas problems, I have learned and stashed some cash from work, and I don't wanna see anyone else get in harm's way... Or worse."
All of them are concerned and surprised to hear that, and the parents think about this and then Lynn Sr speaks. "Well, alright then Leni. We'll help you get a car... Also, I think Lori might need one too. After all, there are a lot of us and I know many of you have some events to participate and it is only clear that we have more than just one car by the driveway, that thing can fit more than one van."
Lori smiles hearing that. "Good idea, dad." she then looks to the others. "Any questions?"
They all remain silent. "Good, now we should get some sleep and we can check on Lincoln tomorrow." they all get up and leave to head to their bedrooms and be ready for tomorrow, and deep down they all feel bad for what Lincoln had been through.
The parents head into their room to talk about what has taken place and how it all went. Upstairs, all of the loud sisters look to the bedroom of Lincoln and Lily points to the converted linen closet. "Linky."
Luan sighs. "It's gonna be alright, Lily. Lincoln will be back, we know it right girls?" All of them nod, and deep down they are hoping that they will get their brother back, and when he does return then they need to stick with the plan Lori had, and handle with Luna later.
But deep down, Lori has this odd feeling. 'Something tells me, that Luna won't deny the punishment we have for her. I feel like something from the past long ago is returning.'
