A small moment for bonding between Lincoln and Luna, there might be trouble and there might be some others involved to see how they have been doing, but this is mostly about the special sibling bond tied within the two loud siblings and how much they care for each other. I am always a sucker for a Loud House story involving their bond together. Enjoy reading this everyone.
"Luna's forgotten promise."
(The Loud House, Franklin Avenue Royal Woods, Michigan.)
Lincoln Loud is looking to himself in the mirror and he smiles at the way he looks. "Dang, this is a good look for me and I am so digging this, but then again I look good in all the clothing I have bought."
Lincoln's attire: Dark purple shirt with a black and white striped skull on the middle and at the back. Purple leather jacket, black fingerless gloves, purple jeans with a white belt and boots with black laces, and musical note shaped earrings.
"Dang right bro..." Lincoln then sees his big sister, Luna come into view and she adjusts her brother's hair to look good. "There we go, now that's the ticket little brother. You already look awesome, and so do I dude."
Luna's attire: Orange and white polo inside of an orange hoodie jacket, dark blue jeans with a brown belt, orange and white sneakers and the same necklace from before still around his neck.
Lincoln chuckles. "I can't wait for this special day you have prepared for just the two of us. I am happy that I managed to reason with mom and dad to make you're punishment no longer around." They look around the room and see that all of Luna's musical instruments are now back inside and even her posters.
Luna smiles. "Yeah, and thanks bro. But, you really didn't have to. I was alright not doing any form of music until you were up and running again, this wasn't necessary Lincoln."
Lincoln then speaks. "Luna, you are already helping me around after what went down and the state I am in, but I don't wanna see you stray away from the musical talent you have. Even if it's not rock n' roll, you are still a dang talented gal, and I respect and admire that about you, sis."
Luna is touched hearing this. "Ah, baby bro." Luna then hugs her brother and so Lincoln returns the embrace, and deep down it feels like a flash back of a memory comes back, the times when Lincoln would seek a comforting hug from his big sister, and though Leni has nice and warm hugs, it's always Luna who has the most comforting and special hugs, for Lincoln.
They then depart from the hug and then Leni comes into the bedroom. "You guys ready to go?" Leni is also dressed into something else.
Leni's attire: Leni is wearing a teal short-sleeved jacket, white tank top, blue skirt with black leggings and white slip-on shoes with teal bows on them, her pink hooped earrings, and of course her sunglasses, but her hair is tied into a ponytail.
Lincoln and Luna are surprised by the new look. "Nice treads there, sis" replied Luna.
Leni smiles. "Thanks, since you guys are changing into new clothing to make styles different and more normal, I think I should do the same thing. Alright, I got my car keys and we should head to the mall now."
Lincoln nods, and then Luna wheels him out of the bedroom, they make it to the lift and this time Leni is the one who helps her brother get onboard while Luna goes down the stairs first to setup his wheel chair there, and they spot the twins and Lisa in the living room.
"Have fun at the mall guys" replied Lola. "Now, I would wanna partake and see what I can afford to buy, but I don't have any big events coming up until next month."
"Try and stay safe Lincoln" said Lana.
"He will be safe, since Luna will be there to watch over him" replied Lisa, she then recalls something she needs to mention. "Also, the news informed that the west side of the street ten blocks from here leading to the mall is closed due to construction, I suggest taking an alternate route."
Luna, Lincoln and Leni are surprised and confused to hear this. "Alright then." Leni then helps her brother onto his wheel chair, and then Luna wheels him out of there, while Leni holds the door open for them, and they head out of the house and head for Leni's car.
Lori's car is not there, she went to the restaurant to help her father, and they see Lynn Jr has her helmet and she is pudding on her knee and elbow padding and then her roller skates. "Got some derby practice, see you guys when I get back. Bye, Lincoln!" She then races off, and so the others get into the car.
Lincoln then realizes. "Lynn could've asked us to take her to her practice, right?"
"Yeah, it would've been faster, but Lynn would rather skate there to build up her sporty motivation or whatever" replied Luna. She then helps her brother get into the car, and she packs up the wheel chair into the trunk, and she sits next to him at the back seats.
Leni then starts the engine of her car and they drive off. "Alright, so you guys are gonna be spending a whole day of bonding, while I go off and look for my friends so we can get this whole shopping thing started. Got it guys?"
Lincoln and Luna nod, and then Luna pulls out a book on driving to which Lincoln notices and then he asks. "Luna, you plan to learn to drive?" Leni chuckles hearing this, Lori informed her and Leni is proud to see Luna taking in the role of truly being an amazing and awesome big sister.
Luna looks to her brother and she pets his head. "Don't worry about it little brother. This is something I wanna do that can benefit us both, well mostly for you. Let me handle this and I promise things are gonna turn out good, you'll see."
Lincoln smiles and he feels like this is going to turn out great, then Leni speaks. "Shoulder still sore there Lunes?"
Luna then reaches her shoulder where she was struck by a knife days ago. "A little bit, but it's slowly fading. The injury and sore pain will be gone and I can sleep in any direction I want again, but in the meantime I need to be supported by someone who I care about." She then pulls her brother close and she kisses his forehead.
Lincoln chuckles and he hugs his big sister, and seeing this makes Leni smile and recall the times when Lincoln and Luna were truly the closest of siblings in the Loud House. 'Where did those times go, guys?'
(The Royal Woods Mall.)
The trio make it to the Mall, and they look around and see everyone is just going about with their day and shopping for stuff and they see the signs for the upcoming Halloween sale is inbound. "Chances a lot of Halloween decorations are gonna be on sale, and that means dad might wanna void coming here again" replied Lincoln.
Leni chuckles. "Dang right, well I am gonna go and see where Jackie and Mandee are. You guys go off and have some fun, and keep an eye on Linky."
Luna smiles and she nods. "I know sis, I know. I got this." They watch as Leni walks off to look for her friends and so Lincoln and Luna head off to their own destination and see what the mall has. Luna then asks. "So, you wanna go and check out some places?"
Lincoln thinks about this. "I honestly don't know sis, you got me a lot of new games and other stuff, but perhaps the comic book store and then the music store."
Luna smiles hearing that. "Well, alright then. Let's go and see what we can find here that is good enough to buy." As they are walking, Luna sees this beautiful Purple Ferrari on display and she is amazed by this vehicle, she doesn't even know that Lincoln sees this ride as well and he is amazed.
They are about to head to the comic book store, but then they see some man walk up to them and he is wearing a brown trench coat and he secretly shows him the knife in his hand. "Give me the cash you got, all of it now, and your phones."
Lincoln and Luna soon realize that someone is trying to rob them, and this kicks in Luna's big sister mode and then she grabs the man's arm with the knife and she kicks him in the knee and he let's go of it and Lincoln takes the weapon away, then Luna punches the man in the face and he falls to the floor.
"Don't ever try something like that ever again, you jerk!" Luna then kicks him to the chest and he groans in pain, the folks around the mall see this and the mall cops show up and take the thief away and Lincoln hands them the knife he took from the crook.
Luna then goes over and checks on her brother. "Are you alright there, Lincoln?" She checks if he got hurt while she was disarming the crook.
"A little shaken from what happened, but I will be fine. Thanks sis." Lincoln then hugs Luna, and she returns the embrace. Everyone in the mall claps at what Luna Loud had just did, they then depart from the hug and head for the comic book store.
Whatever went down here, is bound to spread to the others and possibly the Loud House.
(Later in the day.)
Lincoln and Luna are now at the food court and the duo are enjoying the delicious food they are eating, and Luna wipes some of the mustard on her brother's face and this makes Lincoln chuckle. Luna smirks. "You know, no matter how many times you grow up into someone else mature, you will always be my baby bro."
Lincoln smiles. "Thanks sis, and I liked how this day has sorta gone, though that man trying to steal from us is something I did not see coming, and you handled that jerk like a freaking pro. Where did those moves even come from, sis?"
Luna smiles. "Well, I guess you can say that instincts kicked in and I couldn't let some jerk criminal get the best of us and hurt you. I promise I would keep you safe and I am not gonna break it, always."
Lincoln smiles and then they both continue to enjoy their food. "Look dude, the kid with his sister." They see two boys, whom Lincoln knows from the time he was mocked for being friends with Ronnie Anne, he is lucky Trent, Lance and Artie aren't with these two. "You here having fun baby!"
Lincoln ignores them, but Luna doesn't like these insults onto her brother and these boys keep mocking them.
"Hey, baby. You need your big sister to be your mommy all the time?"
"Does the little baby need his face wiped or his diaper changed?!"
The two boys then laugh at this, and Lincoln doesn't seem bothered and he continues to ignore them and enjoy his food, but then he notices how miffed Luna looks and it looks like she is ready to beat these boys up, and he tries to intervene so she doesn't do something stupid, but two other girls go over and stop this, Jackie and Mandee.
"What the heck are you two punks even doing?" said Jackie sternly. "Mocking a kid who is on a wheel chair is wrong and mean, and also makes you jerks bullies and bad kids."
Mandee nods. "Also, might I remind you two bozos about what happened to a certain McCann kid, and it would be a damn shame if someone posted what you two just did."
"You mean this?" Leni is there and she recorded the whole thing, and then she clicks post. "Oh, and there it goes. Have fun being known by everyone to mock and make fun of two good siblings, and some kid who can't be able to walk after a horrible incident many days ago." Leni also has the food that she and her friends ordered, they came here to meet up with Lincoln and Luna.
The two boys didn't like this and so they run off. Leni then goes over to her brother and Luna. "You alright Lincoln?"
Lincoln nods. "Yeah, I am." He then looks towards Luna. "Sis, calm down and don't let those guys get to you, I didn't bother with them and waited for someone else to handle the situation."
Luna sighs. "Sorry bro, I just... I didn't like them making fun of you, brought back the times you were mocked as a little kid for having white hair, and either myself or the others stands up for you and makes those jerks run away and never come back."
"What the heck is wrong with his hair?" asked Mandee. "I mean, it looks cute and good on him."
"No kidding" replied Jackie. "You don't see much young folks or kids with white hair. I think your hair looks awesome, and makes you look unique and special. Those boys are jealous that your life is different, special and awesome. You have ten sisters, and a dang good bond with one of them."
Lincoln blushes and chuckles. "Thanks." He then looks towards Luna. "Sis, I appreciate the way you wanna stand up for me, but you should only intervene unless the issue turns bad or worse, and that time with those two was not worse, they were just being super annoying, and I don't wanna see you get into trouble because of two annoying boys I know in the school."
Luna sighs. "Sorry, bro. I just... I should've thought twice, I really didn't wanna see you being pushed around. The state you're in is making things hard for you to handle, and to be mocked by others... It's so wrong, and rude and I just..." She tries to calm down and she wipes away some tears.
The others can see how much Lincoln means to Luna, which explains why she is always wanting to be there to stand up for him and to shut up others who mock him for what he stands for, Leni knows that and she hates seeing her brother being pushed around and made fun of, it reminds her of herself back then when other students would mock her because she isn't smart.
They all continue to chat and even enjoy the lunch, and Leni, Jackie and Mandee also eat their food, but then Mandee asks. "So, Lincoln Loud. Any plans for when you go on this date with Jordan Rosato?" the other giggle and chuckle and so does Luna.
Lincoln blushes and also laughs nervously, he saw this one coming.
(Tall Timbers Park.)
We now see Lincoln sitting underneath the shade of the tree, and next to him is Luna and his folded up wheel chair and he feels calm and at peace when doing this kind of thing with his big sister, they reasoned with Leni that Luna will wheel Lincoln back home, they could use some outdoor time at a nice and calm place, so technically Leni is at the Loud House.
Lincoln then looks to his big sister. "Luna, I appreciate the kindness and help you are doing for me, but you do know that at some point I can handle the problem on my own right?"
Luna looks to her brother and she sighs. "Yeah, I know. I shouldn't meddle too much, because I don't wanna bring back the bad dang times from long ago. I don't wanna go back to falling in line with the others and not being there to hear you out or even help. I also wanna say sorry for all the dumb stuff that I was a part of and didn't go well for you."
"I never knew what was wrong with me back then, but then it all comes back to me now. The sisters and I are all talented and thus we see success and through our own accomplishments we treat each other as equals and feels like we're all in one synced sisterly thing, and that ends up with the rest of us ganging up on you... I don't know what madness of a hive mind we had, and same with Lisa being part of it, or she already knew about this and didn't give a damn about what you felt."
"I don't ever wanna fall in line with the others, I wanna rekindle the good times we had before and make new ones that we can treasure together. I wanna bond with you more, and make it feel like old times. This whole ordeal and conflict that has been going on after the accident, has woken both of us up... Don't you agree little brother?"
Lincoln smiles. "Yeah, it sure does, Lunes." He then slowly closes his eyes and he rests against his sister, and so Luna pulls him close, and she places a small kiss onto his forehead, and then another to his cheek and she too closes her eyes and she rests alongside her brother.
Luna then whispers. "As long as I am alive, well and doing alright, I am not gonna let bad times come and hurt you baby bro. I got your back and I am not letting you down, and that is a solid rock on promise, little brother."
Lincoln yawns and he whispers to Luna. "I love you sis... I love you so much, Luna."
Luna is touched to hear this and she responds back. "And Luna loves you too little bro, always."
Lincoln and Luna remain in this sweet and calm moment, away from troubles, loud noise and other problems. Both looking forward to whatever else is coming their way, let it be good times or bad obstacles, they got each other's backs. But Luna will always have her brother's back through this new kind of change.
(The Loud House, Night time.)
As the night has fallen and Lincoln is wheeled into the bedroom by his big sister Luna, and the duo are in their sleepwear and then she wheels her brother close to his bag and he checks on the stuff he has that would be prepared for tomorrow.
Luna watches as Lincoln checks his notes and then he puts the book back inside and then he looks towards Luna and he smiles, seeing this makes Luna smile and she kneels down and hugs her brother, and so he returns the embrace. "A dang good time we're gonna be having, huh little bro?"
Lincoln smiles. "Yeah, a lot of good times and if those good times are gonna have some bad apples in the way, then we can get through them together. Right sis?"
Luna chuckles. "Dang right." She then checks the time. "We should get some sleep, we got a big day ahead of us, and also you have a quiz to catch up on, right Lincoln?"
Lincoln nods. "Got it Lunes." He then wheels himself to his bed, and he manages to get off and then sit on his bed, then Luna sits down and she tucks him in and this makes Lincoln smile and he sees Luna climb into the lower bunk with him and she rests on her left side and she pulls her brother close to her.
Lincoln and Luna look to each other, and a flashback is seen through their eyes as they look onto each other.
(Flashback.)
Luna is 5 year's old and she is laying on her bed and she smiles as she sees her baby brother, Lincoln look at her and he smiles. The baby touches her face and this makes Luna giggle and she shares a nose kiss with her brother and then kisses his cheek.
Luna then pulls her baby brother into her embrace and she can feel her baby brother hugging her and snuggling close and this makes her smile and be happy to know that her baby brother loves it when she does this and then she whispers something to her baby brother's ear. "Luna loves you, little brother. Always."
(End Flashback.)
Luna smiles and she shares a loving nose kiss with her brother and this makes Lincoln chuckle, and then she kisses his cheek and then pulls him close to her in a loving embrace, and this makes Lincoln smile and he closes his eyes and he returns the embrace and snuggles close.
Luna rubs her brother's silky white hair and she sighs and kisses his forehead, and then she whispers something to his ear from long ago. "Luna loves you, little brother. Always." Soon, Luna slowly closes her eyes and she drifts off to sleep, along with her little brother.
Both of them dreaming away the good times they had back when they were close, and the best of friends.

A/N: A good day for Lincoln and Luna Loud, they had some small issues but they handled it even with some friends nearby, but their small journey is just beginning, and they still have a few more loose ends to handle, and I think some of you might know what it is.
