Sup guys, this is 1602jaw here, bringing some new content.
Now to those who are wondering, yes I am still working on re-working some of my chapters. The reason I'm struggling is mainly due to my personal life, that being collage and whatever.
This chapter is merely a little short, but trust me once I finish re-working all my chapters, then things will started to get a moving.
Anyways, sorry for the long update. And lets not waste any time and begin, shall we?
On top of the balcony stood a pondering Yui, looking out in the green, open sky.
The streets, the markets, the vast land of trees and swamps.
She sigh to herself, filled with deep thoughts.
Thoughts that kept bothering her, ever since she stay here for one year.
It was like she was reborn, but maintain her self from the past.
Soon Prince Adam enter the scene.
She turn, as she heard the greeting, young voice of the prince himself, "Hi Miss Yui".
Adam wave at her.
She replied," Oh...hi".
In a timid fashion, she turn back to the sky as Adam lean his arm near the stone railing.
"You seem...quite", Adam remark, looking a little concern, "Are you alright, miss-?"
She replied, looking back to him, "Oh, uhhh, it nothing really. I'm just feeling tired, that's all".
"Can't blame ya", Adam comment, "Everyone is tired after a long day of outside. You could've seen how pack the market is, ever since we open it up to a larger space system".
"It seem so", She said, then moving on a different topic.
A topic she was hesitate to say, but she felt comfortable as Adam was a understandable lad, despite his naive nature.
She even get a feeling Adam is He man, just by his action alone.
Of course, none of them knew that.
"Say Adam, can I tell you something?" She asked.
"Umm sure", He replied.
"Ever since we got here, I always wonder...and this may sound a little existential", She continue, "I always wonder, if us...coming back to life meant something".
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, think about it", She said, "We killed, then brought here for unknown reason. What if we were given a second chance of something. Something...bigger".
"Well that is certainly interesting. I never thought about it. I usually thought it may have been a result of some strange miracle. Lots of miracle happen here...well, except for times where He man isn't around".
"I guess so. Still, it is strange. It even makes me wonder if there are others like us that got a second chance too".
"Yeah, that's a good point".
This brought up a good question to Adam, as ever since they arrive he and many like him thought the same thing.
What if there are others like her and her students.
That were meant to die, but somehow brought here.
If so, where are they?
These were deep wonder, indeed.
So much so, it made Yui came to the realization of it.
"Maybe I may be thinking too hard about this", Yui said, "After all, I am still hoping that one day, there may be a chance me and my students could return home".
"Let's hope it true", Adam told her, "Frankly, I was really happy that you guys stick around. Everyone in town seem nicer than before and even Randor consider all of you as his family".
"Speaking of, may I ask you a question".
"Sure".
"Does your father ever seem...proud of you?"
This struck Adam a little, asking, "Huh?"
"It just...I notice you two don't get along lately. I"m a little.. worry".
"Ah, it nothing", Adam replied, "It mostly just...I'm not much of a responsible prince. Essentially, I'm too naive to be taken seriously. Especially since He man gets more attention from my father than me".
"And you don't seem bother by it?"
"Uhh, no, not at all", Adam said, dropping the smile and looking directly outside.
Both of his arms were on the railing.
Yui knew Adam has some conflicted feeling about this.
She felt a little regret of asking it, seeing how it may effect Adam dearly.
"Oh...uhh..sorry if I ask you this, I-"
"No, it fine".
Nonetheless, Adam replied, "You know, sometime I wonder if my dad is truly proud of me. He usually seem more proud for He man than me".
"Then why not just prove yourself, or better yet, act more responsible?" She asked him.
"That's a good question", Adam replied, "I try, but my dad never seem to care. He always see me still a kid that needed some learning on how to be a king. Makes me wonder if he ever consider me worthy to take the throne".
"Come on, of course he see you", Yui told him, "I'm certain he still care about you, no matter what".
Suddenly, they heard a loud, trembling, explosion.
"What the heck was that?" Yui asked him.
( Back at the lab ).
Man at Arms lay there, as he stare at the Yellow Lantern himself, Sinestro.
Floating before him, with his ring out.
As Yuka and Orko watches.
"Give it to me", Sinestro said, demanding it without an explanation to any of the shock faces.
"Give...what?" Man at arms asked, trying to get up.
"The stone! You have it, so give it to me!"
"Listen sir", Man at arm said, "I don't know why you barge in like this but-"
Before he could finish, he was push against the wall then clutch together by a giant, yellow fist.
Still clenching on the stone.
Sinestro float to him, demanding once again, "You will give me stone! Now!"
"Why?" He asked, feeling the pain of being crush slowly by Sinestro.
"I have no time of explaining this to you", Sinestro told him, "You better give the stone to me or else I'll inflict more damage on you than the last person who try to defy me!"
Man at Arms struggle.
He struggle to squeeze out of there.
Kicking and lifting his arms.
Orko and Yuka watches, worrying and scare on what to do.
Is the man part of Skeletor forces or what? They aren't certain.
"Wha-what are we going to do, Orko?!" Yuka asked Orko, panicking at this moment.
Orko was afraid.
But not too much where he hide off or back down.
No, instead he attempted to face Sinestro off.
He float to him, telling him with his finger, "Hey you! Leave Man at Arms alone or else, I'll-"
"Or else what?" Sinestro asked, looking directly at him with his sinister look.
"I'll...uhhh, use my magic against you!" He said, using both his hand to try to intimidate him.
Sinestro gave a deadpan look, asking, "Really?"
"Yep!" Orko begin his spell, with his arm lifted up and his hands open with a readying clench appearance, "Lightning, lightning, come down here! Shatter your rain onto Sines...uhhh, what your name again?"
"Sinestro".
"Oh yes! Sinestro!"
Orko hand was still in the air. Waiting and waiting for something to rain down.
Nothing.
Instead, it is just awkward silent.
Coming to the realization of it, Orko replied, stuttering and fearful, "Oh, heheheheheh...it seem's I may spell out the wrong words".
As soon as he said that, he was swatted away by the slap of another giant, yellow hand.
From the right distance, Yui and Prince Adam were watching while hiding.
They couldn't believe what's going on here.
A mysterious man show up and just simply barge in, without reason or explanation.
"Oh my god, who..who is that?" Yui asked, frighten in this situation with her hand up her mouth.
Adam remain calm, telling Yui, "I don't know, but it best if I get He man for this".
He storm off.
As he was gone, Man at Arms begin to feel as if his skin is almost touching to his bones.
"Give me the stone now!" Sinestro told him, "I don't want to inflict more damage here".
"I don't know what this man want with the stone", Man at Arms thought, "But I get the feeling his reason must be no good".
Elsewhere in a hall, Adam search for Cringer.
Even calling out his name, "Cringer! Cringer, where are you?"
He search everywhere, until he finally see him.
There, hiding behind the pillars.
He peak and notice Adam.
Then he hid back, which made Adam chuckle a bit, but revert back to his serious tone, "Come on, Cringer. We have a job to do".
"Uhhh Adam, can you handle it?"
"Cringer".
"Pleaaaaaassse?"
Adam sigh, with his hand behind his back, readying to pull the mighty sword out, "I really hate to do this, Cringer but you leave me no choice".
Proceeding as always, he pulled out his sword out.
Then he hold it up in the air and shout, "BY THE POWER OF GRAYSKULL!"
The power struck down on him.
Bolts of lighting, sparks, and stars sprung from the showering sky above.
His clothing were gone.
Now it was just armor.
Armor made out of the hardness and cold might of light.
Now he was HE MAN! And as he wielded his sword, he shouted once more, "I HAAAAAAAVVVEEEEE THE POOOOOOOOOOOWWWEEEERRRRRR!"
Soaking from the drain of thunder and smoke, he aim his blade at Cringer.
And with one struck, Cringer became BATTLE CAT!
Roaring in the hall, as He man hop into battle.
Man at Arms scream.
Soon the yellow power begin to shock the helpless Man at Arms.
He can feel the electric shock hurting through his skin and organs.
He feel it, ticking at him with every point.
It was as if he felt needles being swallow in his mouth and skin for eternity
"I am not playing around", Sinestro told him, "Release that stone, and I'll make sure you remaining walking".
"Hey! Leave him alone!" Yui shouted at him, getting his attention.
Yuka was near Orko aid, until her focus was now at Miss Yui.
"Yui!' Man at Arms cried out.
"Let go of him now!" Yui demanded, showing no fear whatsoever.
None.
Surely it is suicide, but to her she didn't care.
She didn't want to witness someone in pain.
"Or what?" Sinestro asked her, "Stay out of this. For your own benefit, this is personal!"
Eventually the torture soon end, as there was a huge explosion coming from their right.
There in the hole of a debris is He man and Battle Cat.
"Sorry to intrude your little personal space", He man said, "But I think you should let my friend go".
"He man!" Yuka called out in relieved, even smiling to the sight of him.
Orko soon awoke, feeling dizzy and asking, "He..man?"
Even Yui was relieved.
Sinestro was puzzle by him, even surprise.
He releases Man at Arms, who collapse on the ground, as Sinestro float to He man, with the projecting hand disappearing.
"So I'm assuming your here to stop me, correct?" Sinestro sarcastically asked.
He man replied, "Exactly. So how about we settle this calmly and without conflict".
"Heh, I'm not surprise", Sinestro replied.'
He retort back with his ring projecting a mechanical, eight tentacle beast.
It grabbed He man and Battle Cat.
Strapping it around them and tangling them, as they struggle to get out.
Battle Cat try to bite it.
He did it another one, and another one, but it kept regenerating back.
He man uses his sword to slice them off, but every time he did, it grows back and create extra more,
As Sinestro fought He man, Yui came to Man at Arms aid.
She kneel down to him, asking, "Are you alright? Say something?"
"Grrr, I'm fine", He replied, "How's Orko and Yuka?"
"Fine, they doing fine".
Back in the action, He man manage to use his strength to create a large, electric blast that cause them to be release.
Sinestro, startle by this, uses his ring again to shoot a huge ray at He man.
He block it with is blade.
He and Battle Cat remain standing, only being push back by the amount of power done by Sinestro.
Hearing the sound of screaming from the ray made He man disoriented.
But he kept on, as he deflected it back to Sinestro.
Sinestro dodge it.
Before he could react, Battle Cat charge at him with his mouth open and claws out.
Sinestro creates a yellow fist, which punches Battle Cat outta the way.
Then before he could react, he too is punch by He man fist, causing him to be flung away a little, as He man land on the ground.
With his sword ready, his mouth huffing for more air, and Battle Cat right on his side.
They were ready for Sinestro to throw anything at him.
Sinestro, after wiping his nose, reply in a calm tone, "I'm impressed. Much impressed".
"So are you going to talk now or what?" He man asked.
"Yes, and no", Sinestro replied. "I must say, you fought a lot better than the other two I fought. Tch, they didn't even leave a scratch on me".
"Other two?" He man was a bit confuse, as with Battle Cat.
"Yes, other two. A feline fellow and a lonely samurai fellow, with sword as his arms. To you, I congrats. I was expecting to fight a young, weak fool around here. But I'm surprise, I didn't think I'll fight a buff, shirtless man like you".
"Whoever you are, know this", He man told him, "If you ever harm this land and it people, I'll make sure you get your scratch".
"Hmph, try as you must, but remember. You are dealing with someone who has lots of experience and lots of alliances. One of whom I'm sure is still here, hiding and waiting to strike".
"Strike? Who? Who is hiding?"
"I would love to; But right now, I need to rest", Sinestro said, floating near the open hole.
Before he leave, he told him this, "Oh, and the name is Sinestro. I'll be coming back here to get the stone. Be prepare".
He fly off, leaving only his yellow shadow before it disappear.
It left He man stunned.
Sure, he was relieved that this mysterious stranger is gone.
But there were still unanswer questions.
He wonder, "What does he mean by that. Hiding and waiting to strike?"
Welp, that's where I'm going to leave it off. Yep, right there...because this is a quick update.
Anyways, I hope everyone was satisfied with this.
I apologize for the long update.
Again, this is merely due to my personal life such as college ( Congrats for me finishing High School ), trying to work on my other fanfics ( I recommend to those to check those out ), trying to rework my chapters with new edits, and handling Devianart.
But anyways, to make it up for you guys, I might as well reveal a few things that are gonna happen throughout the story, in case if the story is having a long update again.
So there's going to be a lot of Corpse Party characters being introduce. There's even going to be characters outside of He man and Corpse Party that will appear. Some are OC.
There will be a story arc revolving Skeletor. I won't spoiler what it is, but let just say he'll be join with some special group of individuals and at one point, he'll summon a entity.
One that is known for one thing, and one thing only. Collecting knowledge (To those who knows who it is ).
As for the mysterious reference Sinestro made, later on it will be explore. All you need to know is this being has a connection to my other story.
Then there will be a bounty hunting and mercenary challenge, which will feature tons of cameos and guest appearance.
One of which has a connection to my other story.
And one of which will be reveal to have a hidden agenda. I won't spoiler who it is, but I'll give you guys a hint.
