Some flashbacks of some small and happy time for the two siblings, the moments that made Lincoln and Luna close siblings, and leading all the way to how things have changed and gone down, the day she became someone Lincoln had never known or even recognized. Seeing how far have things gone, from what Luna and Lincoln had experienced for a long time. Enjoy reading this everyone.
"Luna's forgotten promise."
(Many years ago.)
The months have gone by since the new baby has come into the house, and right now we see a 4-year old Luna Loud and she goes over to the crib and she sees her newborn baby brother sitting and looking around, and he has a pacifier in his mouth and he smiles seeing his big sister.
Luna smiles and she sees her baby brother waving his arms around and then he reaches for Luna, and she knows what this means. "Alright, come along little brother." Luna manages to get her brother out of his crib, and she carries her brother in her arms and the baby looks to Luna and smiles.
Luna then shows Lincoln her hand, and he giggles and grabs her hand, and then holds on tightly to her finger and then he smiles and giggles and laughs. Luna chuckles. "Hello, Linky. You're happy today, aren't you and just when you woke up too, or are you still sleepy?"
Lincoln chuckles and then he reaches for her face, and so Luna allows her face to move closer and he touches her nose, but then the baby yawns and rubs his eyes and that was something Luna saw coming. "How about we nap together, on my bed? Do you like that, Linky?"
Lincoln just continues to look towards his big sister and he smiles, he feels safe and happy around her, Luna shares a nose kiss with her baby brother, which makes the infant giggle and laugh. Luna then carries her brother over to her bed and she sits down and looks to the baby in her arms looking at her.
Deep down, Luna feels a special connection with her baby brother when they do this. "You remember me, right Linky? I'm your big sister, Luna and I will be your best friend and the sister you need when you need comfort or a friend. I'll always be there, my sweet baby brother."
Lincoln smiles and then he yawns again, so Luna lays down on her bed, and she places her baby brother next to her. Lincoln and Luna stare into each other's eyes and Luna smiles seeing the happy look of her baby brother, and Lincoln touches her nose and giggles.
Luna then places a small kiss onto his cheek, and then to his forehead and then to his nose and this makes the baby giggle and laugh. "I will always be there for you and keep you safe, always and always baby brother. I love you Linky."
Luna then pulls Lincoln close to her, and the baby snuggles in her embrace and smiles. Luna then feels her brother not letting go of her in this embrace, and she sighs in relief and she can hear the light snores from her sleeping baby brother and she rubs his head and kisses it.
Luna then whispers to his ear. "Luna will always be there to love you, always baby brother." Soon, Luna yawns and she too is getting sleepy and surely enough she does fall asleep with her sleeping baby brother snoozing in he embrace, and both siblings enjoy this afternoon nap time.
(One year later.)
A nice and calm afternoon and this is where we see a one-year old Lincoln Loud, and he is playing with his big sister in the backyard on the picnic blanket, the five year old Luna Loud smiles watching her baby brother play around with his plush rabbit, which he calls Bun-Bun.
Luna then has her ukulele and she adjusts the string to make it sound better at least, she then sees her brother clap and laugh at what she is doing, almost like he wants to see and hear what she can do. "Alright, hang on there, Linky. Almost there."
Luna then adjusts the string right and then she makes a calm and soothing strum, this startles Lincoln a little bit, but then he smiles and laughs and then he claps and crawls to his sister, and out of instinct he looks around and then looks to Luna and speaks. "Mama... Mama."
Luna is touched to hear this, and she does recall that it was days ago when he spoke to her in private without anyone around, and he seems to be slightly smart enough to understand to not call her mama when others are around, he doesn't know why, but he finds this fun.
Luna then strums her ukulele some more, and this makes him laugh and giggle and he claps some more, Luna chuckles. "Alright, for my biggest and cutest fan around." She then strums her guitar to the tune that she heard before, and then she finishes it off and this makes her baby brother clap some more and giggle and laugh.
Lincoln then slowly crawls to his big sister and so she opens her arms and she embraces her baby brother. "Hello, Lincoln." She can feel her baby brother snuggling as he hugs her back, and then they depart from the hug and look at each other, and then her baby brother places a small kiss on her cheek, trying to mimic what he has seen from her many times.
Luna is touched that he would do this and both sibling share a small nose kiss, which makes them both giggle and laugh. Luna then lets Lincoln sit in between her legs, and she shows him how to strum a ukulele and he seems interested in what she is doing and continues to observe her playing this.
Just them, Lincoln sees his plush rabbit is missing. "Bun-Bun... Bun-Bun!"
Luna notices this. "Huh? What the heck?" Luna then sees a squirrel with the toy rabbit. "Hey!" The squirrel makes a run for it with the rabbit it's carrying, and Luna goes after the squirrel to get back what belongs to her baby brother.
Luna does the best she can to keep up and take this little animal down, she then sees the animal headed to her baby brother and Lincoln grabs his plush from the squirrel and the animal notices this and looks to Lincoln and hisses. This alarms the infant and he looks scared and is about to cry.
Luna then races over and she uses her ukulele to whack the squirrel away and it flies off to the front yard of Mr. Grouse and now the old guy is fighting the little thing, Lincoln looks to Luna and he reaches for her, and so Luna picks him up and she does what she can to comfort him of what he just experienced, he almost got hurt by a squirrel.
"It's alright now, Linky. Everything is fine, now Lincoln. The bad squirrel is not coming back, I got you baby brother." Luna kisses his cheek and then continues to comfort her brother, promising to keep him safe from anything wanting to harm him.
(Many more years later.)
Now we see a 12 year old Luna Loud and she is spending time with her little brother, an 8-year old Lincoln Loud and the duo are both playing with his plush rabbit and she has a plush monkey and even though he is a kid, Luna would always have time to spend with her little brother, no matter what.
Luna then makes her plush rabbit dance, and then she sees her baby brother take a toy car, and then she goes over and kisses his forehead, and this makes him giggle. "Hey, baby brother. Everything alright in that sweet little head of yours?"
Lincoln smiles. "I'm doing alright, Luna. Also, I can't wait to spend some time with my best friend Clyde, but the one thing I won't forget is that you are always my best friend. A shame Clyde was busy today, it would've been nice if we all played together, Luna."
Luna nods. "Yeah, that would be nice. Also, if he isn't actually around to play, then you can always rely on me to spend time with you, baby brother. Always."
Lincoln liked hearing this and then he hugs her. "I love you Luna, always."
Luna smiles and so she hugs him back and then she kisses his forehead. "And I love you too, little brother." She then kisses his cheeks and then his nose and this barrage of affection makes Lincoln laugh and chuckle, but then they hear the parents calling for Lun.
"Huh, I wonder why they're calling for me?" Luna is about to get up, but then Lincoln holds her hand. "What's wrong little brother?"
"Will you be back to play with me, Luna?"
Luna sighs and she kneels down and hugs him. "I will, when I do come back. For now, be patient and wait, and then we can spend some more time. Remember, I am always gonna be there for you, and so will this."
Luna then hands her silver necklace with a locket attached to it, and she hands it over to Lincoln and he is surprised by this. "Wait, what? Luna, this is yours."
Luna smiles. "It's alright, Linky. I want you to have it, so this would always mean that no matter what goes on... I'll always be there for you, the Luna Loud you always know and love. Be brave, be strong, and don't give up little brother. I'll be back, I promise."
Lincoln smiles and he shares another hug with Luna, they then depart from the hug and Luna leaves the bedroom, of her brother to head to what her parents want with her. But deep down, Lincoln fears that something else is about to happen to his big sister, Luna Loud.
(Later in the Day.)
Lincoln is now in his orange and white pajamas and he is in his little room waiting for someone to come back home, and he sighs and goes out of the bedroom and he checks on the other sisters he has. He sees Lucy is asleep, I think on her bed and Lynn Junior is reading a book about sports.
Lincoln walks away and he sees the bedroom where the infant twins are and they are fast asleep, and then he sees the third crib in their room, which is his new baby sister Lisa and he is happy to be a big brother once again. Lincoln then goes to the bedroom of Luan and sees that she is busy with some jokes she has planned, and some plans to go to clowning camp one day.
Lincoln then sees the door that leads to the bedroom of the older loud sisters, and he wants to talk and perhaps have some company from Leni, but he knows she might not be the best due to her intelligence level and then we have Lori, and he seems less pleased to confront her, and he doesn't wanna make her upset. So, he just walks back to his bedroom.
(He doesn't know that Lori and Leni are not there, Lori is having a sleepover at Becky's so they can finish a school project, and Leni is having her own sleepover with her friends Jackie and Mandee.)
Lincoln is in deep thought about something. 'Luna, where are you? You said you would be back to play with me, it's late in the noon and you didn't come home. Nobody even told me where you went, I don't even know if the sisters know where you are.'
'I hope nothing bad happened, and I hope you come home soon, I need you big sis.' Lincoln then looks to the necklace he is holding and he has a look of determination. 'I need to be brave, I need to be strong, just like Luna. Always!'
Just then Lincoln hears someone yelling. "Good Evening Loud House!" This startles and confuses the boy and he checks to see who it is. He sees this girl at the same age as Luna, but she has this pixie cut style hair, purple clothing and she sounds loud and very excited and this startles Lincoln.
The girl then sees the boy and she smiles and greets him. "Hey there, bro. How're you doing tonight?"
Lincoln is confused, but then he knows that voice and then he asks. "Wait, Luna?"
The girl walks up the stairs and she hugs her brother. "Who else could it be little brother? This is me, Luna Loud! I feel so alive and so awesome! Rock on little brother!"
Lincoln is confused, but deep down he smiles. He can tell that Luna is super happy and if she is happy, then so is Lincoln. She returns the hug, and then he places the necklace into his pocket safe and sound, he still sees that his big sister is in there and hasn't left.
Soon, the rest of the louds come and see what is going on, and they all bear witness the new Luna Loud, which makes Lynnard and Rita happy, that they're plan worked and Luna has found her talent and dream, while Lincoln still sees the same loving big sister he knows and loves.
(Present Day, the Royal Woods General Hospital.)
Lincoln is sitting on the edge of the bed of Luna, and he takes a look at his unconscious sister and he sighs. He has his hand holding her hand and he feels like she should hold his hand at any moment. "Luna, please... Please wake up, Luna. Please. I don't wanna watch you stay like this, please."
Lincoln has some tears and he tries to calm down, he then slowly adjusts himself so he could go closer and he lays down next to Luna, and he looks at her sleeping form. Some bandages on her face from the cuts she got and bruises, and even some bandages on her arms.
Lincoln recalls that she got surgery since she took a stabbing blow to her stomach, and they had to fix her up and they are unsure when she could wake up, she did lost a lot of blood, but they managed to get her some more inside of her body, and all they can all do now is wait for Luna Loud to awaken.
Earlier, the rest of the family showed up and they were all upset and in tears at what Luna had been through, and are truly concerned on whether she might wake up, they left some flowers and other stuff for Luna, and right now Lincoln is not alone in the bedroom.
Sam Sharp is there and she is asleep on the chair nearby and she was crying throughout the whole thing. Lincoln knows how she feels, Luna means a lot to him and she means a lot to Sam. Lincoln feels like they are both going to lose someone special and close to them.
Lincoln sighs and he kisses the cheek of Luna and he yawns and feels sleepy. He then snuggles close to his unconscious sister and he hugs her, and then he whispers. "Goodnight Luna, please wake up. I don't wanna lose you, I love you so much, sis. Always." Soon, Lincoln falls asleep, but he is unable to notice that Luna's fingers slowly close and she holds his hand, and she has a smile on her face.
