Haru and Gokudera are students at Tokyo U, their friend back in Namimori. It was reading week and the two chose to stay in Tokyo to work on their assignments. Haru was on her way to meet up with Gokudera when some guys started hitting on her.

"Hey sweet cheeks, why don't you put those books away and come have a good time with me." Haru looked the guy up and down.

"With you? You look like you were hit with a dumpster truck. I wouldn't be caught dead around you, besides I already have a boyfriend."

"Yeah, right, why would a guy let a beauty like you walk all alone out here."

"He isn't insecure like you idiots are."

It was at this moment that Gokudera happened to be coming from the opposite direction. She waved to catch his attention and walked up to him kissing his cheek.

"What took you so long darling?" Gokudera slipped his arm around her waist, kissing her forehead.

"Sorry, I had to finish up my meeting. I hope no one gave you any trouble." Haru pointed over to the two guys.

"They started hitting on me, and when I told them I have a boyfriend they didn't believe me." Gokudera looked over to the two guys Haru pointed at.

"Well I guess we'll just have to make them believe." He leaned down and kissed her on the lips, when the two guys left he pulled away keeping his arm around her.

"Man, people are getting ruthless recently. That's what, 27 idiots hitting on you this week alone." He mused, Haru just laughed.

"Like you're one to talk. More girls hit on you then guys hit on me. Speaking of, thank you." She kissed his cheek and snaked herself out of his arm.

"OCTOPUS-HEAD!" Both of them jumped and looked to where Ryohei looked like he was charging at them. Being outside the library, the two darted in and went to the private room they booked to study. The library was huge and it was common for people to get lost.

"Why didn't you tell me they were in town." Haru hissed.

"I didn't know. My meeting was with Reborn. Nothing was mentioned about anyone being in Tokyo." Gokudera hissed back.

"Who know pretending to date to fend off sleazebags would get us in trouble."

"OCTOPUS-HEAD STAY AWAY FROM SISTER!" They could hear Ryohei yelling in the building, they looked at one another and couldn't help laughing as they sat down to start working on their projects.

It went quiet and the two knew that they would have to face Ryohei and explain later. 10 minutes into studying, and the door to the room burst open. There stood Ryohei, Tsuna and Yamamoto, Haru had fallen out of her chair and Gokudera was laughing.

"Yeah, yeah very funny. Almost as funny as when." Hayato had launched out of his chair to stop her from talking.

Which had Ryohei nearly scream again and go after Gokudera.

"Ok stop both of you." Tsuna ordered, the potential fight stopped and the others took seats around the table.

"We'll talk after." Haru stated.

"We only have the room for an hour and we have 3 weeks worth of work to cram in." Tsuna nodded and distracted the other two with video games while the two quickly worked through their assignments and readings. Every once in a while exchanging books, and edit each other's paper.

five minutes before the allotted time was over the two began packing up their books and placing any they borrowed into the return slot in the room. Noticing the shift their guests began to pick up their own things. They quietly left the library but not before Haru scheduled the room again for the following week. Once outside they knew their friends were watching them as they guided them to a nearby cafe not far from either of their apartment buildings.

They grabbed some food and found a seat to sit at.

"Ok first things first. What you saw, an act." Haru stated to her friends confusion spread across their friends faces. At that moment Gokudera ducked down, Haru looked around and saw Stacy, a foreigner student that was obsessed with Gokudera. Haru placed her bag and coat over where he was hiding, and smiled as Stacy spotted her and made her way over.

"Oh Haru, how are you?"

"Stacy, what can I do for you?"

"Have you seen Hayato? I know you guys tend to work at the library around now.?" Haru had to stop herself from rolling her eyes.

"I think he went to school. Something about forgetting his sweater."

"He left his sweater behind. I have to go find it." Stacy left and Haru waited till she was out of sight.

"You're clear." Gokudera sat back up and handed her back her things.

"Sweater really."

"Hey, bought you a couple of hours, didn't it?" Gokudera shrugged in response. Ryohei wasn't looking impressed.

"So you're pretending and kissing my sister." Yamamoto was trying hard to laugh, and Tsuna was raising an eyebrow.

"You do realize Ryohei-nii that Kyoko and I are actually dating, right?" Ryohei looked at him.

"Yeah but you two are in the same city as me, he's not." He pointed at Gokudera. It was then that Haru snuggled close to Hayato. Ryohei was not pleased, and Hayato easily fell into boyfriend mode. As a few guys walked by the table and stopped.

"Oh Haru, how you doing darling?"

"Still not interested."

"You should dump this loser, sweet cheeks." Haru rolled her eyes and allowed her hand to drop in a manner of 'this is what I have to deal with'.

"Still here asshole. Get lost, or do you want to visit a hospital again?" Haru tried to hide her giggle, they had pushed too far and Hayato used Yuri to send them to the hospital technically never harming them.

The guys with the loser looked confused, where he was just embarrassed. Tsuna looked amused, Yamamoto looked like he wanted to laugh, and Ryohei looked ready to punch someone. The loser straightened his shirt and snapped his finger heading to the cash.

"You'll regret it one day, Haru."

He walked away and as he did Haru rolled her eyes.

"He says that every time. Seriously, he's the worst student in the class, and he looks like someone dumped him in acid." Tsuna raised an eyebrow.

"What, I get hit on a lot and none of them look all that great." She settled into Gokudera's side knowing it would be a while before they would be able to break the act. Though honestly Haru was starting to feel like it was less and less of an act every day. She looked at her friends then to the one beside her, maybe one day it won't be an act.
