Chapter 13- Felix and London! (and the mysterious dad):
I was in an endless meadow of green grass. This is nice. I spun around in a circle and noticed a woman with chocolate brown hair, walking with her child (who looked like he was Felix's age). Normally I would've ignored them, let them have their fun in the meadow, but there was a sense of urgency in me. I absolutely had to know them.
So I started running towards them, hand outstretched. I opened my mouth, intending to call for the to stop, to wait, but no sound came out. The woman didn't notice me at all, but the child did. He started to turn around, unbearably slowly, and I could just see the edge of his gray eyes when-
"Sophia."
The dream evaporated. I tried to grab onto the wisps that were flying away, but to no avail. I was left in an empty white space.
"Sophia, wake up."
Third Person POV:
The small girl rubbed her eyes and yawned, then showed the same disgruntled look on her face that her father was making. Emily laughed at the two of them, and Adrien with her.
"we're here, dear." Emily gently shook the girl once more, and she finally looked around. "Huh? Where?"
"It's nice to see you're finally up, Sophia dear." an identical replica of Emily (Amelie) swept into the room, pausing only to take in the comical scene. She snickered.
"Where?"
"You're at the De Vanily Manor." She gestured to the room around them. "Welcome!" she paused. "Or so I would say if this was when you first entered into the house instead of half an hour after. You were asleep for so long, Felix got lonely!"
Said Felix poked his head into the room. "Nope." then he went back out of view.
Sophia laughed. "Sorry, was sleepy. Come ere, Lix!" she craned her neck to look outside the door (Hint: it didn't work).
"She speaks so well now!" Aunt Amelie's eyes were round. Emily giggled, but Gabriel's disgruntled expression didn't change. "Would you like to go see James, Gabriel?"
"Absolutely not." he snapped. "I am not in the mood for that, so I will quietly go to our room and rest until dinner time." he excused himself and walked out of the room, paused, then quickly maneuvered Felix into the room and then walked off in some direction.
"Sophia POV:
"Yay!" I jumped out of mom's arms and hugged Felix.
This is all for the sake of making him a better person! Not just because I like hugging people and Felix is the only one who doesn't hug me at all! I turned to Aunt Amelie before he could push me away. "Also, James who?"
She blinked. "James is your uncle and Felix's father." she said smoothly. "Didn't I mention that when we visited you?" she murmured to herself, but everyone could hear.
"Uh-uh." I shook my head. "Also, hungry!"
"Oh, you're hungry? You wanted to try the brownies Emily made last time, right? Do you have teeth now?"
"Yes!" I opened my mouth and proudly displayed my two front teeth (which happened to be the only teeth I had at the time). Aunt Amelie started laughing. "That's not nearly enough for you to eat brownies, dear!"
I pouted.
"But we can get you some stew, it'll be substantial enough for you to feel full and liquid enough that you'll be able to eat it easily." she added, and went towards the door. "Wait here. You too, Felix," she said sternly when he started to follow her.
He stopped sheepishly. "Okay."
Let me just say one thing:
The soup(it was more soup than stew) was delicious, even though it honestly had more vegetables than anything else (except the water, there was literally so much water).
But Adrien didn't seem to think it was delicious.
He spit it out immediately and turned away. "No!"
Mom made an embarrassed face. "It seems he doesn't like it." Then, to Adrien:" Ad-ri-en, you have to eat it, it's good for your body~"
"No!" he turned his face away even more. It was a fail.
"Come on, open up for the airplane~" she started to slowly move it in zigzag motions towards his mouth. Adrien and Felix both stared at it (oh, Felix had already had lunch with Aunt Amelie, so he wasn't hungry, just curious), and I was just obediently eating it in the background.
Wait, where did Nathalie disappear to?
Adrien gradually opened his mouth and swallowed the soup. Good boy!
I finished eating and quickly wiped my mouth. "Washroom?"
Mom started to quickly stand up. "I'll come with you, Soph."
I shook my head and stared stubbornly. "Where's the washroom?"
She sighed and sat back down, knowing that once I set my mind on something I couldn't be talked out of it easily. "Down the hall, take the first left, second door on the right." she recited from memory, having lived here in the childhood years.
"Actually it's the first door on the right. You're confusing this bathroom with the one on the third floor." Aunt Amelie interjected.
They started arguing about it. "No, I'm sure that one was here!"
I sweat-dropped. How big is you house? And also, which one is it? I need to go, like, now.
[Just try both.] Juedui suggested helpfully.
I left the room mostly unnoticed, but Felix followed me.
Paying him no mind (I need to get there now!) I turned the first left I saw and immediately bumped into something very, very solid and tumbled down onto the floor (fifteen month old babies really are not stable).
"Hoos dere?" someone slurred.
I froze.
And slowly, slowly looked up to the angry face of a clearly drunk man staring at weak, vulnerable baby me.
Well, s**t.
Doneee!
Finally, after who knows how long, I finally figured out what to put in this chapter! Sorry for making you wait this long, the thing is...
Extra classes.
Yup. I have extra classes now, a literal metric ton of stuff to do on the computer, which means less time to type these stories for me! Of course, like I said before, I had a hard time figuring out what to put in this chapter, but that's no excuse, so, well...
Hope you enjoyed!
