"You're in the way freak!" A large rotound boy snidely stated, he was looking at a boy who was no older than 6 years old. He was at the top of the stairs, a small bucket on the step below. He had a small rag in his hand that was wet cleaning the railing. There was plenty of room to go around but the large boy the same age as himself decided it would be ok to just kick him down the stairs instead. Which he promptly did, he gleefully watched as he tripped over the bucket of water breaking his legs in the process. Tumbling down the stairs more breaks could be heard, the boy just casually walked down the stairs and at the step where he was whimpering and moaning he just leaned forward and began whispering in his ear, "You're not welcome here freak." A small gurgle of blood came out of his mouth as he lay there wheezing, the boy kicked his head and forced him down the last two steps of the staircase. "I hope you die after this freak. I'm not sharing my parents with a freak like you. I do not care if we are cousins or not. You are nothing more than a freak. In fact I know how to really get rid of you." The boy muttered ominously.
"Hadrian!" James screamed! "Hadrian, hang on son! I'm going to go get some help!" James stated quickly he floated through the front door and through another door that appeared out of thin air. The door remained closed on his end but it opened as he went through into another world. "HELP! Someone! Please!" James cried desperately, appearing in the middle of a duel between two swordsmen. The two instead of listening to the person they saw appear attacked with full force. However when the attacks went straight through James growled at them. "For being my mates you sure are complete morons!" James instead of staying near them went to the few people that were nearby. "Another mate, good! Please you have to help me before it's too late and we lose our baby boy!" He cries desperately staring at his last mate.
"Do you see what I see Benn?" Yasopp the gunner questions staring right at James.
"Yes I see a translucent person asking for help." Benn agrees, placing another cigarette in his mouth, "However I would know if I had a kid."
James growls and glares at them, "Why did I think his fathers would help when they don't understand fully. Damn those drunken five nights with a passion!" James mutters flying off back through the door he came through. The only difference on his way back was that the door remained open. Both Benn and Yasopp were able to see on the other side of the door.
Benn Beckman is a tall man, standing at the height of six feet and twenty-nine inches. He has long light brown hair that was pulled back into a simple ponytail. He was wearing a black v-neck t-shirt, green loose cargo pants, his pant legs were tucked into his black buckled boots with a yellow sash around his waist. Completing the ensemble was his ever trusty rifle which he never went anywhere without. Benn just glanced at Yasopp and shrugged. He proceeded to walk through the open door, Yasopp hot on his heels.
It was Yasopp who first noticed the kid through the main window. "Man, that kid needs to lose some weight." He stated however he noticed something else, "There's that lover of yours Benn. What the hell!" He exclaims watching as the spirit of James tries to stop his nephew by placing his body in the way protectively over his only son left.
"What?" Benn asks Yasopp. He glances inside seeing what was about to happen. He breaks the front door down and stops the large kitchen knife from stabbing the young man who was already heavily bleeding on the ground.
Mrs. Dursley comes around the corner and screams seeing a strange man there holding a rifle that appeared to be blocking the knife her own son was holding. "Dudley Dursley, what are you doing with that knife young man!" The mother reprimanded.
The young boy tried to play off what he was planning on doing to his mother, who while distracted never saw another man enter the house, repair the door and proceed to grab the young man, "Shit! Benn we have to go! Now! He needs severe medical attention!" He states urgently. Benn's eyes widen as he nods. They proceed through the door back to their world. The both of them with James's spirit following close behind quickly make their way up the ship and to the doctor. "Doc, he needs medical treatment quickly." Yasoop mutters urgently.
"I'll do my best. Let's get him to the infirmary." Doc muttered softly as all three took off towards that specific room on the ship.
"Severus can help. I'm going to go get Severus." James muttered to Benn. Benn glanced at James in confusion but still nodded his assent as Yasopp laid down the young man on the lone bed in the room. James went through the door and made a right going through another door that appeared. His next stop was Hadrian's godfather. What he didn't expect was for the doors portal to work in his favor and open up directly in front of Severus Snape while he was working on his next potion for the medical wing. "Severus! I hate to do this to you but Hadrian needs your help! His cousin practically killed him! He's on this ship now, but I don't know if the doctor there can really help him. Please Severus help save your godson." James wailed out quickly. He was desperate to see his now only son survive.
"Is he just through that door James?" Severus asked. Severus's skin was pale and shallow, his long hooked nose was bent over a shimmering cauldron. Shoulder length black hair caked with grease from the fumes of several potions over the years. Seeing the potion as completed and getting the affirmative out of the spirit. Severus rushed to gather his things that he was going to need along with several different vials of potions he may or may not need to help. "You said before I had to use wandless magic, correct?" Severus questioned for confirmation.
"Yes. That world, although it may have magic. Our wands will not work there." James responded watching his brother in all but blood gather everything he would need. "Just through that door, the first door on your left is where he can be found. Be quick Severus I fear he may not have much time left."
That last statement made the dour potions master turn pale and rush through the door with his limited medical bag. Opening the first door on his left like he was instructed he wasn't told about the two weapons that would be aimed his way, "Dammit James why didn't you warn me ahead of time!" Severus scowled.
"Sorry Severus. I warned them I was going to get you before I even left. This is normal for them. They are pirates after all." The spirit had the decency to look sheepish, hand scratching the back of his head.
All three men were wide eyed hearing the name. The two holding their weapons at him immediately placed their weapons down so the potions master could get to work. The first thing Severus did was run the diagnostic charm. Chuckling at the startled looks when the parchment popped into existence. However, the chuckling stopped abruptly, having first glanced at the parchment. Pale shaking hands read over the parchment again a furious rage was brewing in the normally dour man. "Who did this James?" The furious man growled out dropping the parchment and went to work repairing the damage done.
"For some god forsaken reason he was dropped off at the Dursleys. Their fat lard of a son is the one who's done the current amount of damage. That's not including all the past abuse he's suffered at the hands of the fat lard of a husband!" The spirit snarled back. His fists were clenched at his sides.
"What of his brother?" Severus demanded next.
The spirit turned somber at the question, "That bitch Evans with the help of Dumbledore shattered their twin bond beyond repair. They cannot feel each other anymore. She went as far as Blood Adopting Desmond completely wiping out all his father's bloods. Now he doesn't look like them. Now he's a black headed boy with messy hair and jade green eyes. The splitting image of me but with Evans eye color. They even claimed he was the Boy Who Lived. Even claimed Hadrian didn't have any magic!" The spirit was snarling by the end of the rant.
"WHAT!" The spirit turned looking at the tall red headed man. Just standing at six feet six and a half inches. He wore a shocked expression upon his features. He was looking at the parchment that Severus let fall to the ground. "Who did this?!" He snarled.
Being hit over the head by his first mate's fist, "Now is not the time for that Shanks." He takes the parchment from his Captain's hand. Glancing over it himself he pales before snarling viciously. "That little punk better not be the one responsible for all of this."
"He is on the current list of injuries. The latter I'm not so sure on." The dour man muttered continuously pouring potion after potion down the young man's throat. He would massage his throat, getting him to swallow the potion as well before continuing.
"Should have killed that entire family." Benn muttered, gripping the parchment a furious scowl upon his features.
"What's done is done, Benn. All we can do now is make sure he never has to go back there." Yasopp, a man of six feet, muttered back. He wore his standard get up of a dark blue shirt and dark green pants that went down to his calves. Blue shoes with buckles on them and a headband with his name on it completed the ensemble.
"No Yasopp, what's done isn't done! This! This family is exactly like the Celestial Dragon's from here!" Benn growled back. He had another cigarette in his mouth just hanging there now. He didn't light this one for fear of being kicked out of the infirmary. He was still gripping the parchment in a death grip, crumpling it up in the process.
"Let me see that Benn." Yasopp stated, gesturing to the parchment being held in a death grip by said man. Benn handed the parchment over reluctantly. Holding tighter as Yasopp pried it out of his grasp. As Yasopp was reading the page his eyes not only grew wide but he went pale with each injury listed.
Current Injuries
Frontal Bone: Fracture (Kicked in)
Temporal Bone: Fracture (Fallen)
Tibia and Fibula: Broken Both Legs (Bucket)
Left Shoulder: Dislocated (Fallen)
Ribs: Seven Broken (Fallen/Rolling)
Left Lung: Punctured (Ribs)
Right Hand: Crushed (Stomped On)
Lacerations: Seven Times (Stabbed)
Yasopp swallowed hard just reading the current small list of injuries. He glanced up at the two doctors working on the young man. Afraid to speak the question but knowing it needed to be asked.
"Is he going to survive?" Another tall lean man asked. Yasopp glanced at the speaker, noticing it was Mihawk he swallowed. Mihawk is another tall man standing at six feet six inches with black hair, a short beard, mustache and sideburns that pointed up. He was wearing black and red ornate clothing with a crucifix pendant that hid his little dagger. This appearance made him look like a spanish swordsman. His attire consisted of a wide-brimmed black hat decorated with a large plume, a long open black coat with no shirt underneath, the coat had flower patterns on the sleeves and collar. Light purple pants were being held up by a decorated belt and tucked inside overly large boots in comparison to his legs. His sword Yoru was strapped to his back again as he glanced at the doctors at work after having read a small portion of the parchment.
Severus kept muttering to himself in an entirely different language, his hand roaming over the young man glowing a soft green. The spirit glanced at the group of people worried before glancing back at the potions master working. "I'm not entirely sure." The only doctor answered, "This man here gave him a.." he trailed off looking for the vial a small ah ha followed having found said vial, "A Sleeping Draught. I'm assuming that it puts the drinker into a coma like sleep. He gave him a bunch of other vials also."
"It does. It's why I went to Severus next. He's the youngest Potion Master in our world. If anyone can help repair the damage that's been done, Severus is the one able to do it." James responded despondent. He was staring at his now only child's face, tears dripping down his face.
"Why did you come to us first then?" Mihawk being the only rational one questioned.
"Because he is also your son." James states having looked at Mihawk, Shanks and Benn.
All rationality went out the window for the three men, they each glared at the spirit, "How?" all questioned at the same time.
James giggled, "I'm a carrier in my original world. But I'm also Royalty." Here James pondered, "Or at least I was until I was killed." James grabbed his chin thinking about everything, "I got smashed when the door first opened for me and brought me here. You all were smashed as well. We all hooked up for five days straight. The constant partying and drinking kept you guys relatively drunk. It's too bad your guys' booze couldn't keep me drunk. Long story short, I wound up pregnant with a pair of twins." James giggled slightly at the memory of him finding out for the first time that he was pregnant.
"What happened to his brother? What happened to you for that matter? Why was he sent there if we are his fathers?" Was the rapid questions from Shanks this time.
"In order. His brother was stolen from him, their twin bond has been severed with the help of Evans and the Headmaster." James snarled out. "That bitch even went and did a blood adoption ritual completely wiping out Desmond's fathers!"
"Have you spoken to Gringotts yet James?" Severus was the one to question.
James nodded, "Yea I spoke to King Gringotts. He assured me that the only vault Desmond would have access to would be his trust vault. Even showed me the tree to confirm my worries about the Pendragon Bloodline. Jokes on the old man anyways, only those selected will have access to the Pendragon Bloodline. Hadrian is the one who gained access to it, not Desmond."
"How does that work? I thought both would be able to get access to ancient magic." Severus questioned, perplexed.
James shook his head, "No. Only those with mates in another world will have access to the ancient magic."
"Are his soulmates here?" Severus asked again wide eyed at the thought.
"What are you two talking about? Soulmates?" Shanks chortled in disbelief.
"Yes. Soulmates. It's what you three are to me." James responded in kind, pointing once again to Shanks, Benn and Mihawk. "It's why you all have the mark of my animagus form just below your right ear. It will be a deer head with a full rack of antlers. Granted since I'm dead now it may be silvery blue to indicate as such." James muttered out the last bit. Granted even though he muttered the entire room still heard him clear as day.
Mihawk was the first to glance at Shanks and then Benn, sure enough what James said was the truth. He then glanced in the mirror that was in the infirmary and saw the very same mark on his neck just below his right ear. Mihawk just nodded to both Benn and Shanks that what James said was the truth. He swallowed grimacing like he ate something sour and asked the same question again, "Are his soulmates here?"
James looked thoughtful, "I'm not entirely sure if they are or not. But the fact that he has Ancient Magic proves that his mates are not in our original world. I'm not even sure what his mark would be to even begin finding his mates." James stated seriously. Glancing back at Severus he could still see him working to fix and repair the damage done to his only son. He turned somber and glided back to watch the potion master at work. "How is he, Severus? Will Hadrian make it?"
"That will depend entirely on him, whether he makes a full recovery or not. I'm still having to repair the small bleeds from the lacerations. What exactly happened?" Severus demanded. Small beads of sweat could be seen on his forehead.
James responded by telling everyone what had happened before he left to get help.
Tumbling down the stairs more breaks could be heard, the boy just casually walked down the stairs and at the step where he was whimpering and moaning he just leaned forward and began whispering in his ear, "You're not welcome here freak." A small gurgle of blood came out of his mouth as he lay there wheezing, the boy kicked he head and forced him down the last two steps of the staircase. "I hope you die after this freak. I'm not sharing my parents with a freak like you. I do not care if we are cousins or not. You are nothing more than a freak. In fact I know how to really get rid of you." The boy muttered ominously.
When the boy came back into the hallway where his cousin lay in a heap on the ground his breathing was ragged. "This will teach you to respect your betters and die when you're unwanted." He raised the sharp cutting knife above his head and brought it down repeatedly. Every second strike he would twist the knife in deeper than it was.
"It was the seventh strike that he pulled out when Benn and Yasopp came barreling into the hallway, breaking the front door. The rest of it was bringing him here and getting you to come help." James responded somberly.
Magical pressure was leaking from Severus Snape after hearing what had happened. "Those three are dead. Mark my words James, those three will regret the day they ever laid a hand to Hadrian." Both Severus and the Doctor moved away at last from Hadrian, "It's up to him now to see if he lives or dies. That door, will it remain so I can come back to administer the next dose of potions?" Severus questioned.
"I'm not sure if it will remain or not. I'm sorry and thank you for helping Severus." James responded in kind.
"Fair enough. I need to go brew the next batch of potions for him. I also need to be back here in twelve hours to administer it. Make sure that it happens James." Severus stated seriously before departing his cloak billowing around him. True to the thought, the door did not remain for Severus to get back.
