I OWN NOTHING IN THIS FANFICTION EXCEPT FOR MY OC. I DON'T OWN MUCH OF ANYTHING WHEN I THINK ABOUT IT...

_Hokage Office*

The old man was slumped in his office chair. Enthralled in his paperwork, looking no less than 15 minutes closer to a heart attack. Stacks on stacks of papers littered themselves all over his disorderly desk.

"Damn it." He would swear under his breath in frustration, "How many more of these accursed reports do I have to fill for that fire daimyao?!"

Letting out a light growl, one hand was death gripped around his pipe -the other tightly wrapped around his writing apparatus- as he puffed a quick smoke to calm himself.

He decided on finishing his paperwork in silence. He was on his last report check, after all. Why keep complaining when you can easily just finish it and call that George?

Using that philosophy, Hiruzen Sarutobi clutched his final paper and added it to a pile on the right with a sigh. Before letting his face fall into his hands in exasperation.

"Finally, I'm done with that god-forsaken paperwork." The third hokage growled to noone in particular. Thinking about all the time he now has to enjoy being alive, without all that pesky bleached tree bark piled around him.

A smile couldn't help but etch itself onto the man's stressed face from that.

A smile that quickly dissolved at the sight of the equally as tall pile of papers on his left.

"Dont these idiots know I'm trying to run a major village and not some cheap soap opera?" the man barely held under his fed up breath.

A breath that exhaled a nameless, seal-less fire style jutsu onto said pile. Incinerating it into nothing but cinders in an instant and leaving the other pile untouched.

"But now that I'm done with this," a warm curl climbs up the old man's face, "Time to see how my village is doing~"

That said, Hiruzen would get up off of his chair with a discomforted groan and head to an open window. A window that faced towards a busier part of the village.

Taking in the peace he'd faught so diligently for years ago, he observed the civilians and their nonchalance as they roamed their home village. Enjoying the lack of an Avengers level threat looming over their heads as they did so.

The adults were either shopping, monitoring their kids, or just doing fuck all. And the kids were busy at play or following their parents or plain old enjoying their juvenile existences. Thanks to the protection of the Anbu, the on duty or the off duty Nin of the village.

All the children except for one unfortunate soul.

_Konoha Training Grounds*

Hard at work, a young Uchiha girl had just finished emptying her inventory of her kunai and shiruken.

Each pointed projectile was nailed into either one of the three or so logs a few meters ahead of her, or on the floor close by.

Impaled and porcupined, the chunks of lumber would stand tall as their assailant had no more munitions to hurl at them. Fueled by malice, hatred and unbridled rage.

As for the girl herself, she'd be huffing and puffing in tiredness, clutching tightly onto her right shoulder.

"Huff, huff. I think. That's enough." She breathes heavily with sweat trailing the jet black headed juvenile's face.

We all know who this grief filled future edgeheart is. The kid prodigy Satsuki Uchiha, little sister to the legendary (and currently missing) Nin Itachi Uchiha.

Who was dawning the same style and colors as her Canon male counterpart: A high collared, deep gray-blue t-shirt with a cream 3/4 pants, matching ninja sandals with some bandages that covered the shins. And her bangs framing her temples and cheeks.

She was now done with her early afternoon training session. Fatigued and tired from her endeavours, an attempt to try and wipe away her sweat proved movements in her arms to be painful at best and impossible at worst.

'Yet another reason to go home.' The girl groaned internally as she turned away to begin her journey back home.

It wasn't a long trip, less than 20 minutes, but it was a painful one. The whole way her arms ached and throbbed from their (wo)manhandling earlier. And the concerned glares of a random medic or sensory Nin here and there didn't help.

Eventually though, she made it to her temporary home. Placing a hand on the door and opening it with a pained wince. A wave of hatred and sorrow quickly washed itself over her the second she opened the door as well.

The place was... fine. By no means was it small or cramped, it was decently sized and clean. With enough square footage for an extended family and their neighbours indoors, and enough outdoor space to play cricket and football simultaneously (if you use the front and backyard, that is).

But even with all of that free space. It was simply too much for a little girl, prodigy or not, to live with.

'All of this room... And noone lives here but me' Satsuki would frown both internally and externally as she made her way to one of the two bathrooms.

Her left hand cradling her right, she would pass through the already open door after passing the kitchen and dining room. Entering the makeshift infirmary she had converted the second bathroom into.

With the usual stuff you'd find in most first aid kits laying on the wide counters of the twin faucet sink. And a fully-stocked medicine cabinet curtesy the third hokage.

Using a chair, Satsuki climbed up to the cabinet with a stool. Pushing aside those uniform requirements for a medicinal cabinet in search of her target: Uchiha Ointment.

Ointment made by Mikoto and Fugako Uchiha, one of the few things she managed to recover from the old compound. Designed for those with a higher yin concentration of chakra.

And seeing how low the average Uchiha's reserves were, that would be a godsend.

She never found out how a bottle of an opaque, light cyan viscous liquid can relieve nearly all pains and help with chakra recovery and with minor wounds. She chalked it up to Ninja Science. She was planning to ask her mother after becoming a shinobi, since she makes the stuff.

But her older brother had just thrown a wrench in those plans by taking her life. Killing one of if not the only person capable of making the ointment alongside everyone who could've lerant how.

"This is the last batch," she muttered when she finally found the blueish bottle. She then opened it and examined the contents inside.

"At this rate I'll run dry in half a month..." the lass determined with a glance.

The bottle seemed half empty already, with a max capacity of around her hand (palm and fingers) in both diameter and height. Meaning this stuff's highly concentrated -or just works really well in small doses- considering how small her hands were.

That said, she takes a swab with her finger and passed it first across her left hand before rubbing it in. Mirroring the action with her right seconds later.

By now, seconds later, the pains of her training's left her arms. And she was out the bathroom and heading back out of her house.

However, a new pain emurged from her before she even made it to the kitchen. In the form of a singe in her gut while In the dining area, her intestines felt like they were tying knots of themselves.

"Frick!" She'd scream clutching her abdomen, "How could I almost forget to eat?!" she then gritted between her teeth.

From there, Satsuki went over to the kitchen and began to prepare a meal.

_Hidden Leaf, Ninja Academy*

There are 12 children in the Academy fated to become legends. All either Clan heirs with special abilities noone else had, or civilians with an accsptional mastery over a certain craft that everyone had access too.

Neji, Sakura, Kiba, Shino, Satsuki, Hinata, Ino, Shikamaru, Naruko, Choji, Tenten, Rock.

These children would be called the Rookie 12 or Konoha 12.

For Kiba, he was the heir of the Inuzuka Clan. Known as the best hunter Nin Clan, pumping out the best trackers across the elemental nations thanks to their superior senses.

For Hinata, she was the heiress of the Hyuga Clan. Her Clan had access to a dojutsu (eye bloodline) capable of seeing through solid objects, as far as kilometres, and nearly 360 vision. There are a lot more abilities, but most of them are widely known.

The heiress of the Yamanaka Clan was Ino, she had access to mind jutsus. Capable of allowing then to take over other people's bodies, read minds and invade privacies in many other ways for starters.

Neji Hyuga wasn't an heir, but Himata's cousin. That fact didn't stop him from becoming a prodigy of taijutsu (hand to hand kombat). Which was another buff of the Hyuga clan.

Then there's the Aburame heir, Shino. He and his fellow Clansmen are in symbiotic relationships with insects from young. They share their bodies with bugs that offer more than just a little bite or sting.

Another clan was the Naras. Their heir was Shikamaru, born of the smartest and laziest amongst the Hidden Leaf, he possessed umbrakinesis alongside a humongus IQ.

Tenten was a civilian, a civilian that possessed the will to train and aspire to become the most skilled konoichi with ninja weapons. A weapons' specialist. Starting with basic taijutsu here and now.

Choji was the heir of the Akamichi Clan. They had a lot of fat, and their Clan techniques involved using said fat to increase the power of their taijutsu as well as going for other (more original) methods of attack.

Satsuki was an Uchiha, this we all know this. Thanks to that she can access a dojutsu with many abilities. Genjutsus, reading lips, photographic memory and predicting an enemies moves all with a glance. Again, most already know this, so I'll spare us the unnecessary detail.

Naruko would be an heiress, but her Clan, the Uzumakis, were destroyed in the 3rd shinobi world war. It didn't stop her from attaining a few of their buffs though, one of which being an absurd chakra pool. Well more like chakra lake.

Sakura Hurano was another civilian borne, she possessed nothing grand just like all those in her category. Except unlike her fellow civilian peers, she wasn't a trainaholic or something of sort, her only saving grace was her book smarts. Thanks to her shit chakra pool and unwillingness to do anything physical.

And finally Rock Lee. This boy literally had nothing going for him in terms of the ninja arts. Genjutsus, ninjustu, fuinjutsu even, he couldn't do. All thanks to his tenketsu points and entire chakra system getting fucked from birth.

That didn't stop him. While he couldn't do any ninja magic, he planned to become the best ninja using only taijutsu (and maybe kenjutsu).

These are the main 12, the focuses of the plot, everything revolves around them. At least that's what they want to think.

If the focus was on only the current academy students that'd be true. So at least for now that is so.

Among them, everyone there sported their original clothing. And there were only 4 currently training to advance themselves physically. Neji, Tenten, Lee and Naruko.

Naruko and Lee were locked in a feirce taijutsu battle. Trading blow for blow with punches and kicks, continuing what they've started since the beginning of the lunch period.

"You're improving quite fast, Naruko-chan!" Speak-shouted an impressed Lee, ducking a punch and back stepping a sweep-kick with some effort, "Your taijutsu is really something! Keep training!"

"Thanks!" Retorted a determined Naruko before she dove from her sweep in time to avoid an axe kick from Lee, "I've been training a lot thanks to Hyō-otosan!" she spoke between retaliating with a lunged punch to his face.

A punch that whiffed and went afar. Well more like Lee's face shifted, just slightly enough out of the way to get grazed.

Mentally, Lee let out a sweat drop before deciding to end their spar there.

"Let's call it for now, it's almost time for the end of our lunch break!" The boisterous boy cheered with a winded sigh of exhaustion and a thumbs up after another skilled sidestep to avoid a knee aimed for his stomach.

This was one of the many times these two have sparred over the year. Before, Naruko was only landing and blocking a lucky hit or two. Now she was nearly blow for blow against the sparring Lee.

From one pair of fighters to the next, we pan over to an unlikely pair. A clanless Tenten up against the Huyga's prized prodigy.

"Is it just me, or are you extra garbage today?" perked a cheery Tenten. Who was currently standing above a downed and pissed Neji.

"Big talk," he began through grit teeth and a grunt of pain, getting himself up from the dirty floor, "For someone not fated to defeat me today!"

A cocky grin across his lips, Neji rushed at Tenten. She was busy gloating from how easily she got him to the ground and almost didn't see him coming. Square in the jaw, Neji clocks Tenten and knocked her down to where he once layed.

With a thud she crashed to the ground and yelped.

"From standing tall to laying flat on your back in seconds, hmph." Neji scoffed, now standing above her like the victor of gladiatorial combat, mirroring what she was doing to him. Complete with the overconfident grin daring to split his face in twain. "Accept defeat, as it is your fate."

Looking back up at the boy, Tenten looked like she was stifling a laugh from on the floor. Something Neji didn't miss, proven by his grin faltering if by only a little.

"What's so funn-"

Boom, right to his leg, Neji's opponent hooked her foot around him and yanked. Sweeping him right off his feet.

"From standing tall to flat on your back." the brunnette parroted with a giggle and getting herself up, "Hmph!" with one final metaphorical middle finger, the turns had tabled twice over.

"Oh hardy harr, " Neji barely tried to resist rolling his eyes at the irony of his position.

"Come on now, Lee already said our lunch break's almost over." Tenten pointed out helping up her classmate before beginning to head inside.

The lilac eyed boy didn't like being told what to do -in any sense- but he didn't have a rebuttal. The victor was right, the truth was the truth, and that was that. Their free time was nearly over and classes were to begin shortly. Something all four trainees hated and somewhat liked at the same time.

So he reluctantly he got up and followed his classmates back to inside the academy building. Taking his seat along with everyone else and began to mentally prepare himself for the next few hours of brain damage.

It's been some minutes since everyone's arrival, Hinata, Kiba and Shino sat next to each other, while Ino, Shikamaru and Choji sat side by side. Same goes for Neji, Lee and Tenten (who were all in a class higher than everyone else) , as for Naruko, Sakura and Satsuki.

Each trio, while in Canon were forced to become teams and had to learn how to tolerate each other before even a lick of teamwork could begin. Here was much different.

For one: due to a lack of a certain male, the future konoichi don't have that big of a distraction for them to focus on 24/7. Giving them time and effort to spare on trying and improving themselves through training and studying.

For Canon team 9, Lee and Tenten were busy trying to prove to Neji that hard work can overcome natural born talent. Much to the Hyuga's annoyance.

Team 10's early formation, Ino had her sights on a certain dark haired lad. And decided to take it upon herself to try and get him to train with her. With his freind being a close second.

As for Ino herself. She had decided to take in one of the many speeches her dad laid out for her. Over her two years of being in the academy.

The cause of team 8's premature assembly was simple. Kiba wasn't a snobby prick here. Instead he was a lot more reserved and soft spoken. Keeping to himself outside of the occasional spar or two.

Thanks to him not being a blabbering loud mouth, people actually enjoyed his company. Especially our bug boi.

In fact they shared a lot of conversations over how they're both somewhat connected closer to nature than most.

Not to mention for Hinata, the shy thing couldn't socialise for anything. So she picked where she'd have to do it the least. Since Kiba did most of the talking, and that was mostly aimed at Shino anyway, she had found a sort of solice with sitting next to the two.

And for team 7's... Well all the other seats were taken. Forcing them to sit by one another. Which wasn't really a problem for any of them.

Sakura was always focused on the theory of the shinobi ways, Satsuki barely spoke and Naruko was a more *to herself* type of girl.

That didn't stop them from the occasional mistake of making a conversation happen. Whether it be in or out of classes, it never took more than 30 seconds for someone to say *something* to piss off one of them.

Especially the still extroverted Naruko. A girl known for her inability to really care about things like "timing".

Speaking of, the Uzumaki was currently resting her head on the desk next to her Haruno neighbour. Her body weighing much more than it usually does thanks to her lunch time leisures.

"Get your notes out, Iruka-sensei'll be here soon!" said pink haired girl spoke with a chastising tone.

Hearing her high pitched voice, Naruko couldn't help but grimace with her face still aimed at her ninja shoes.

"I'll get them when he gets here!" She snapped, "Now let me rest. Unlike you, I actually try to train to become a konuichi..." she finished trailing off somewhat.

Sakura, being Sakura, instantly took offense to the blatant fact. Evident by her death glare she tried to shoot at her attacker. A glare that did next to nothing to Naruko.

" I train!" She screeched in rage, going as far as launching a fist at her downed classmate.

A fist that was easily caught by the Uzumaki. A feat Sakura wasn't used to yet, even if this marked the 369th time it's happened over their school year.

"That'll never work," the blonde droned this time sounding bored and tired, "It hasn't last time and it won't this time."

With a "HMPH!" miss banshee (as the boys started calling her behind her back) yanks her hand from her fellow student's grip. Swiftly returned to her studies, the pink dressed girl buries herself in her books as if nothing happened.

And just in time too, because not too long after, a Chuunin with a horizontal scar across his nose and inner edges of his cheeks walked in. Dawning a smile as he did for how silent the class was. Especially compared to the pandemonium he had to walk in on the first month and a half of teaching his class.

That was a sight that most would smile at. With how long it took most in his shoes to achieve the levels of quiet he got at the rate he did.

That was a fun little chapter to make not gonna lie. Also I'm sorry it took me this long to make a new chapter. You probably lost interest since the second week of my dry updates (and I don't blame you)

I'm not even gonna try and make any excuses. I was distracted and kept procrastinating, that's it. Anyways, if you have ANY criticism please lemme know. I read all of them.

Oh and watch out for maybe another fic from me soon. Cuz I got a Lot of plans waiting for fruition

Aight I'm out, ciao.
