I don't own Night at the Museum

Enjoy!

The destination had been complete.

All of Larry Daley's dear friends had returned back to their rightful museum and now, she had the decision of whether to keep on exploring the world until sunrise or head back to the Smithsonian. Two choices and she knew that it was a difficult one. In history, people remembered her as the female pilot who accomplished many achievements and didn't let anyone stop her from doing what she wanted. While that was one part of the story, others also remembered her for mysteriously disappearing and throughout the years, no one had found any trace of her. Right now, she was faced with that. She could either disappear again or live another day as a wax figure and come back to life again...whenever that may be.

Her eyes moved over to the window and she could see Larry Daley's height become smaller and smaller as she ascended higher to the skies. She could still feel his lips upon hers when they had departed. It was going to sound like a famous clichéd fairy tale but it had felt very magical to her to the point that she wanted to return her airplane and remain there with him. However, there was something that had stopped her from doing so. They were completely different people. She was the adventurous one and Larry Daley...well, he still had some self-discovery to do. If she was true to her words, she was convinced that he had found his moxie during this special night. From a man that she had just met who was indecisive on what he wanted to do to where he battled against Kahmunrah and won, Amelia had been amazed by that change that he had experienced. Sometimes, someone needed a little push and Amelia felt that she also was a bit responsible on doing that alongside with his friends.

Friends.

That was also one thing that Amelia hadn't had the chance to fully be acquainted with. All of them seemed likable and if she had a greater chance to speaking with them, she knew that they would become quick friends. She had only joined briefly on some of their conversations when they boarded her trusted airplane but small talk wasn't enough for her to fully get to know them, even if some of them had gone down in history.

Hmm she thought to herself as she could see herself heading north. I could continue to keep going and meet the beautiful sunrise or I could have another chance to see Mr. Daley again...whenever that may be.

A small smile formed upon her lips at the thought of seeing him again. Chances of that happened were rare, she knew that but stranger and coincidental things have happened before and she was not going to let fate stop her from doing what she wanted. Not tonight she thought to herself and then changed her direction. Craning her neck once more, she looked over and noticed Larry Daley walking back to the museum and another smile formed upon her lips.

"Until we meet again Mr. Daley."

The End.
