Bet you didn't see this one coming?
Sorry for the jest, but after 3 plus years its safe to assume this story is officially cancelled. I had such big dreams for this series. So many plans all of which killed the moment total creative slump destroyed all of my motivations, not just for this story but for writing in general. I wish it didn't have to happen but it did.
Here is the cliff notes of how the story roughly goes. I am recalling this from plans I had years ago.
James and Sera rekindle a relationship as the pregnancy progresses, Sera finds some measure of forgiveness from her family
Canon future Max was hired by the Government to keep track and contain those with unique powers in exchange for autonomy
Canon Future Max does not advert the abduction of alt Rachel but instead, trains Rachel in how to resist a drug induced abduction. Rachel goes missing, but has the will to survive.
Future Max assumes command over alt Max and leads James to Jefferson
James subdues Jefferson and takes him out into a cold dark lonely place in the forests and has him dig his own grave. James returns to Arcadia Bay alone.
Life continues on, James and Sera welcome a new daughter, Rachel and Chloe plan a life of adventure together, Max and Victoria are heading to Europe together to pursue careers as Photography partners.
Feels bad to give the cliff notes but that's the only way to get what I remember out to you all. Again, I'm terribly sorry but that's the way it has to be. I hate to abandon the work but I cannot continue on a story I feel nothing for and remember next to nothing about anymore. It's a hard thing to admit to - feeling nothing for a story you dedicated so much too - but it happens and tonight I have come to accept that.
I will leave this story up for the time being. That is subject to possible change. It will be left up on AO3 though. I am still writing there, but for a different fandom.
