(Response) Like most Americans who have a basic knowledge of the pacific theater of WW2 most would've assumed he did resign because after Japan surrendered his influences were decreased substantially. After a little digging, I now realized that Emperor Hirohito did resign in 1989 because of a small case called, death. Thank you for pointing that out and I will make corrections.

Bruh...why...just why...This twist is just...meh. All I want is to see that Esdeath and Tatsumi can both finally be together in a new world and forget the past.

Don't worry, that's why the next two chapters will cover her and Tatsumi's limited time here as well as the members of Esdeath's new Jagers. But as to why the two can't always be together, in the anime and manga, Esdeath tried to convince Tatsumi to join her before his execution. But, in the end, he never wishes to join her because his convictions are strong.
Simply put it, is a tragic one-sided love story that will never bloom into a two-sided love. Unless one dominates or breaks the other, in the case that we're going to see here. Also if possible, I hope I can receive from all of you writers tips to improve my story and twists, etc.

Rank: I would say a Generalobrest (Colonel General, equivalent to a US Four Star general) in most likely the SS, (the SS title for Generalobrest is way too long). As they're considered the specialized force as well as party fanaticism. But I assume she wouldn't mind the Wermacht either. But safe to say she has similar privileges that only a Generalfeldmarchall has. And since she is in Hitler's favor for the most part. Why? because she controls ice, is creative, and is a genius strategist. But she also loves to lead from the front, but the only rank that can't is a general ranking. So I guess he allows her to fight in the front.

Now, enough talk time to dig into the story. But first I'm going to take a dip (aka jumping in head first) into the biggest event happening in 1960s America, the Civil Rights movement.
I know it may take out from the story, but from the American homefront, this is one of the major defining movements in the sixties alongside the anti-Vietnam war movement in the US. I also expect that the Vietnam War in this timeline may be seen as how we view the Korean war in ours, most likely it would be a forgotten front because I predict that the Vietnam War would still happen in this timeline, because of the collapse of Japanese dominance in the forties, and China being split in the middle like Korea, North and South Vietnam would be in a civil war but the North is in the backfoot.
I also predict aswell with both China's being separated Mao's great leap forward will be halted or postponed, with Southern China falling into the authoritative regime and corruption and most likely doing similar policies as our timeline's China. I predict another civil war might happen with the Northern PRC (People's Republic of China) gaining the upper hand and possibly reunifying China, except Macau, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. That is what I have to say, all political stuff will happen next week.

One last change. From now on, Germany would be Greater German Reich, as that is what is officially called itself.

Mine is walking through the corridor of the carrier when she passes by a room where a radio is playing. Several Black and White sailors and soldiers in their time off are listening to the radio. She peers in and overhears the radio.
"Good evening this is your daily evening news on the Homefront. Yesterday Black civil rights leader and Baptist minister, Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. is released from Birmingham jail along with other protesters on April 20th, 1963. King has yet to make an official statement about the war against the Nazis but commented that the Nazi's treatment of people who aren't Aryans is abhorrent. For the US to not become similar to the Nazis, is to take up a position of unity and justice, and to stand up against the injustices at home and abroad. To fight for equality and to end racial discrimination at home for all Americans no matter if they're Black or White."

A couple of them begin to celebrate over the release of Martin Luther King Jr. Mine steps away and thinks to herself, in this world, she is technically considered racially White, along with most of her team. A big difference she noticed from the new world is the fact that the line between races seems to be a fixed line. She was hated for having foreign blood then, but here nobody cares about what blood you have except for the color of the skin or the skin of your parents in some parts of the US.
"I should learn more about this Martin Luther King guy." Mine thinks to herself before she leaves and continues on her way through the ship's corridor, now she knows there are groups of people who are also having a similar group of people who have a similar upbringing as her.

Berlin, Greater German Reich
Esdeath's estate

Esdeath is sitting in front of an off television pondering about what next. She already stamped out a dissident city-state and an entire city that held a mutinous SS-Units. Just what is she missing? Then it clicked on her. Tatsumi.
"Why can't you ever reciprocate my feelings for you Tatsumi. I would have given everything to you if you'd simply stayed by my side." Esdeath ponders more in her memory. Those seven months spent together were magical in her eyes.

Early October 1962
South Bavaria, Greater German Reich.

Esdeath is spending time in her vacation residence with Tatsumi. Normally her winter residence would be empty except for the staff and a few guards. But this time, the number of guards has increased. When Tatsumi first appeared over three months ago he was confused about where and when he is in. With all the technology he's seen he knows that this world is superior then the Empire. But still no less the same as the Empire, riddled with corruption and death. Esdeath noticed some things about him, he still is strong as ever but without incursio he is still only human. The two are alone in a dining room eating, Tatsumi not eating a single bite.

"What's wrong my love?" Esdeath asked Tatsumi. Tatsumi remains silent still.
"If you're not hungry then you should say something, my dear." Esdeath tells Tatsumi, he opens his lips to speak.

"N...no. It's just that I don't have much of an apatite right now." He speaks, Esdeath stands up.

"I know an activity that we can spend time on." Esdeath states

"Come, let's stroll through the woods. You don't have to fear any danger beasts as none exist here. Just some animals that are too weak to even be considered as a danger beast." Esdeaath tells Tatsumi.
Within a short time, the two are seen outside strolling through the forest. With a single guard in site Esdeath gets nearer to Tatsumi, she holds his hand.

"I hope you're taking your German lessons seriously. Because they're important for the time to come" Esdeath strikes a conversation with Tatsumi.

"Don't you like it here? The earth, the trees, the air? So similar but yet so different. I love this world, but I love you more, Tatsumi." Esdeath confesses once again to Tatsumi, just as last time. He rejects her confession.

"I see you're still rejecting me? Hm, its because of Akame right? or perhaps Mine?" She asks him. He becomes flustered at her question.

"I don't mind them, as both are good combatants. But they're the enemy." Tatsumi stays silent.

"I still haven't received any word about their existence yet. But I hope that they don't appear ever." Esdeath tells Tatsumi. He appears to be tearing up, about to cry.

"Let's take a photo for the memories." Esdeath tells him. She calls over the guard.

"Könnten Sie ein Foto von uns beiden machen? Danke." (Could you take a photo of us both? Thank you.) Esdeath tells the guard as he marches forward. He produces a camera by his side. Esdeath stands next to Tatsumi hugging him, just as in her drawings.

"Bitte stehen bleiben. Eins, zwei, drei." (Please stand still. One, two, three.) A few flashes burst from the camera. This blinded Tatsumi a bit as he isn't much used to cameras.

"Are you aright?" She asked

"Just what was that?" He asks her.

"A camera. It's a hobby that I've taken up, I take snapshots of anything I encounter or wish. These will be developed later. But let us keep walking through." She turns her attention to the guard.

"Können Sie lassen uns sein für ein moment und zürucken nach der Residenz. Viel dank." (Can you please leave us be for a moment and return to the residence. Thank you.) The guard complies and returns back to her residence.

"Now then what shall we do Tatsumi?" She asks of him. He doesn't respond. In the distance another guard is rushing towards them. He stops to take his breath.

"Frau Esdeath. Ein Brief habt für Ihnen von Berlin gekommen . Es ist Wichtig." (Lady Esdeath. A letter has came for you from Berlin. It is important.) He tells her.

*sigh* "I'll be on my way."

Late October 1962
Katowice, Occupied Poland

A local uprising is occurring. Local Polish partisan forces have taken back the city and proclaim the free state of Polska. With Poland being under strict German rule. Millions of ethnic Poles haven dispossessed, deported, enslaved, or killed by the Nazi regime. The Jewish Polish population has taken a massive hit with less than three thousand ethnic Polish Jews remaining but have taken up arms against their murders and occupiers.
The culture of the Polish people has taken a hard hit as well. With towns and cities being renamed with German names, the capital Warsaw after the failed uprising in 1944, was made to a transportation hub. Their arts and history, erased. Architecture, destroyed and rebuilt in the Nazi image. The language was forbidden to be spoken, read, or heard. With tongues being hung on doors of people who spoke Polish. Only surviving with the diaspora in the US or in small militia groups. The remaining Polish population who weren't outright exterminated were made to become slave labor for the "Aryan" people of the Reich, being treated less then property.

Esdeath has arrived along with Tatsumi, along with her own ten thousand men battalion. Within a matter of minutes, the city quickly falls. Towards Esdeath forces and the Nazi boot. Majority of the population who aren't ethnic German are mascaraed by Esdeath and her forces. The same fate has befallen German collaborators who helped with the Polish partisan forces.

As Esdeath is marching through the city with Tatsumi, she turns to the right and sees a line of people who surrendered. She stops in front of them with Tatsumi.
"Look here Tatsumi. Look at these dirty Poles who decided to rebel against the Reich and not stay underground like the rats they are." She orders them to stand behind a wall and orders her soldiers to shoot them and leave one alive. Her men do as ordered and began to shoot at all of them except for one. A young blonde woman, her features are reminiscent of Chelsea's. She orders her men to grab her and have her keel before Esdeath and Tatsumi. Esdeath pulls out a Luger and hands it to Tatsumi.

"Shoot her Tatsumi. These rats should learn their place." Tatsumi hesitates. As he points up the Luger at the woman, he begins to recall memories of Chelsea. This slowly begins to bring tears to his eyes. The woman begins to plead for her life in Polish and German, but land on deaf ears. Without hesitation, he points the Luger at Esdeath's head, but Esdeath counters it and freezes the pistol in his hand. Tatsumi looks at his now frozen hand and he looks up.

"Why must you be so rebellious Tatsumi." Esdeath raises her at the woman. Before Esdeath spoke. The Polish woman stopped crying and came to terms with God and her potential executioner.

"Jeszcze Polska nie zginęła." (Poland has not perished yet.) The woman said aloud before meeting her end.

"Weissschnabel." Esdeath says aloud. Then several icicles form in mid-air, striking the woman in every part of her body. The Polish woman collapses dead. Tatsumi collapse to his knees on the ground on what he'd witnessed. The ice surrounding his hand breaks and turns into little ice shards taking the luger with it, leaving his hand unscathed. Tatsumi wishes to cry, but couldn't produce any more tears. He already cried a lot. Esdeath now fed up with his crying slapped him.
"Get up. I seriously don't get why you keep crying for these sub-humans. You should honestly learn more my love. For I wish to see you be better here."

"If you want me to love you. Then please, stop what you're doing. Let these people live their lives free, free from this oppression." Tatsumi pleas with Esdeath, but she had enough with his rebellious side. If he's not going to accept her willingly, then she will just do it forcefully, even if it means breaking him mentally and spiritually.

For the next three months, Esdeath continuously offers Tatsumi freedom in exchange that him loves her. But each time he refuses day by day, week by week. Each new person she sent in with Tatsumi, he sees them die in the most horrific and gruesome ways possible. Till Esdeath realizes that if random people aren't enough, then probably someone he loved the most. Esdeath comes up with a brilliant idea.

Late January 1963

On a stage outside of Nuremberg laid a stadium fit for public executions. This one was special. Esdeath grabs the microphone and begins to make an announcement. Crowds begin to cheer for Esdeath, it's her men who are cheering. Behind her stood five guillotines.

"Attention, people of the Reich. Today's execution will be a special occasion. As today instead of executing normal criminals, we'll be executing the worst of the worst. People I've grown to loathe for stealing the heart of love, Tatsumi." Esdeath points in the direction of Tatsumi, who is strapped to a chair unable to move.

"Now then let the execution commence." Esdeath spoke. Three people stepped out onto the stage. One female and two males. Esdeath approaches the male prisoner and removes the bag. His face is bloodied. Tatsumi at first recognizes him, he recognizes him as not only a teacher but a great friend, Bulat with his old hairstyle. Tatsumi wants to turn away and not look but a Nazi soldier ties Tatsumi's head to the seat with a belt. Esdeath soon uncovered the other male's revealing to be Ieyasu. Tatsumi can't see well from afar but can feel that it is them. If he only had incursio with him, he could save them, but couldn't because incursio be literally in front of him out of arms reach. Esdeath is watching from below watching him slowly falling deep into despair.

"Look at these fine young gentlemen over here. These two have seriously caused major problems for our glorious Reich. Now time to take a look at the feminine side." Esdeath approaches the three female prisoners and begins to uncover them one by one. The first is another of Tatsumi's old friends, Sayo, from his old village. The next two are ones he'd recognized but can't tell if it's truly them.

"Now I will present to you Sayo, Bulat, and Ieyasu!" Esdeath speaks to the crowd. The crowd began to cheer for their execution.

"These five have caused major problems for our Reich. But now, with their end. The Reich would now be able to prosper freely around the world!" Esdeath speaks one last time. All of them appear to be in tears, except for one, Bulat. He'd instantly recognize Tatsumi, instead of doing anything he'd simply give a warm smile mouthing out a message.
"Don't give up. Keep training and fight for what is right, Tatsumi." Bulat now calmly accepts his fate. Previously he'd been searching for Tatsumi for almost a year as well as leading armed resistance but is caught. Along with the others as well, tonight they all know it's going to be the end.

"Now then. Time to see some rebel heads roll!" Esdeath speaks to the crowd one more time, she gestures to the guards to lead them to their designated guillotine. The guards lay them down four of them appear to be struggling but Bulat remains calm. They're tied to the wooden plank and are rolled into position. One of the Nazi guards gets fed up with Sayo's squirming that he uses the butt of his rifle to break her back. She cries out in pain. Esdeath notices the action but allows it as this is music to her ears.

"Now then, time for the countdown." Esdeath counts down from three, two, one. The first blade falls onto Sayo, cutting her head. Her cries are her no more. Esdeath repeats for the same for Ieyasu, then Bulat. With each of their deaths being witnessed by him once again, he is no longer able to cry or feel. To Esdeath, this is a success as now she can rebuild him towards her liking.

March 11, 1963

Berlin, Greater German Reich

"That is the plan for the invasion of the US. A concentrated strike in the eastern seaboard with our Spanish allies and Nazi forces flanking from the South. Taking the Greater Antilles, Florida, and the Lesser Antilles. We'll establish a beachhead in Norfolk Virginia, Boston, and the area of NYC and New Jersey in the US. Northern fleet forces, after taking out Greenland would shell Newfoundland and Nova Scotia allowing an invasion from the north." A Nazi General explains the battle plans.

"So, once Norfolk Virginia is taken out. We'll have our forces take out the city of Richmond Virginia, and march towards the US capital of Washington D.C. and force the President to sign an agreement on our terms. Crippling not only American leadership in Washington D.C. but also crippling its economic power in New York." Esdeath adds to the general's presentation. Esdeath is in a meeting strategizing with several other high-ranking generals and admirals and Hitler about the attack on the US, Tatsumi is with her aswell.

"Yes, General Esdeath." He replies. Hitler, who is 73 years old, turns to Esdeath.

"General Esdeath. I wish for you to spearhead the attack on New York. I believe that when the city is captured, then we will not only capture American pride but also its significance, and their economic power." Hitler request general Esdeath to invade the New York state.

"Why not the capitol, Washington D.C.?" She asks him.

"Because, New York would present a greater challenge for you, and I know how much you love a challenge. With its larger population, its more significant importance, I believe that you are the perfect general for the job." Hitler plays into Esdeath's interest. She thinks about it for a moment before she takes him up on his offer. A knock can be heard on the door.

"Let him in." Hitler tells a guard to come in.

"Mein Führer, the city of Lyon is up in rebellion." The soldier tells the room.

"I think that should be taken care of. Would you like to do the honors, my general?" Hitler asks Esdeath.

"Why yes, my Führer." She replies to Hitler.

"Come now Tatsumi. Time to stomp out a rebellion that should have never reared its ugly head." Esdeath orders Tatsumi. As Hitler laughs one of the high-ranking admirals who is tasked with the invasion of New York feels uneasy. He should tell his family to leave Germany as soon as they can and head somewhere else, perhaps Sweden or the US?

March 13, 1963
Lyons, France

The city burns, most of the civilian defenders and citizens lie dead in the streets or in their homes. Esdeath approaches Tatsumi. She removes his mask from the battle and kisses him. Tatsumi became obedient after witnessing the death of his five close friends, now with no one left except for Esdeath, he has no other choice but to listen to her. Three people begin to run away from a building with a small movie camera alongside an auburn-haired woman with a tape recorder on her side. Esdeath soon notices this but instead of going after them herself, she lets Tatsumi do it.

"Tatsumi my love. Would you please so kindly and kill that three fleeing over there." Esdeath orders him.

"Yes, madam Esdeath." Tatsumi complies with the order and begins to run at the three. The three make it into the woods hoping to lose him there, but it's of no use. Tatsumi is slowly catching up towards them. One of the three stops.
"You two must keep running and reach out towards the resistance. I will hold him off for as long as I can." One of them tells the other three

"Marçon, you must come with us what your doing is suicide. You lead us." The female tells Marçon.

"I know. But if it's for you my friend, my wife, and for France. I will do what I must. Now go! Try to live long enough to see France liberated once again." Marçon orders them to run. The other two comply the orange-haired woman tells him that she loves him. He gives off a smirk, noticing that she does have a place in her heart for him. As the two leave, Marçon readies his Bren mg and begins to open fire at Tatsumi. The bullets bounce off his armor until he runs empty. Mason throws his weapon down and unsheathes a French saber.

"POUR LA FRANCE!" (FOR FRANCE!) He shouts and charges at Tatsumi. But is spearheaded at the chest by Tatsumi. Maçon thinks back at the memories with that woman, before collapsing and bleeding out. Tatsumi continues on foot in search of the other two. The two remaining survivors reach towards a split in the road. The male partisan fighter opens the camera and gives the film to the auburn-haired woman.

"Jeanne, you must take this film to Bordeaux. There is an Army colonel, he has a silver eagle pin, his name is Reeds. The code phrase is "Have you read the works of Verlaine.", the response from him should mention the autumn song. Alright. If possible try to conceal yourself." The man tells her.

"And you Jean? What are you going to do?" Jeanne asks him.

"I will bring a message towards the rest of the resistance, now go! Au revoir." (Goodbye.) Jean tells her. Just as Jeanne is about to make her way to Bordeaux a spear is chucked in her direction. But she is pushed off by Jean who gets caught by it.

"Go, now!" Jean tells her as he's coughing up blood. Jeanne turns around and sees that he isn't far. Tatsumi looks in her direction and was able to catch a glimpse of her face. Tatsumi stops for a brief moment as he instantly recognizes, that woman he let live, is Chelsea. She jumps inside to the forest, within a second an eagle flies out from the tops, staying low flying straight to Bordeaux. Tatsumi saw that eagle fly away, he knew that was no ordinary eagle and wished to throw his spear at her but couldn't find it in himself to do so.

"Good job Tatsumi." Esdeath is approaching Tasumi clapping at his work.

"I love how you killed them without mercy Tatsumi." Esdeath compliments on his fighting style. Esdeath looks up and notices Jean is still alive.

"Oh, your alive still? I assumed you would've died. If you asked me, it would be better for you to have died rather than live. Fu fu fu." Esdeath gives a burst of laughter.

"You will burn for what you have done to us. For us, the people of France will be free from your German oppression. Je suis français." (I am French) Jean tells Esdeath as he is coughing up blood, some of his blood lands on Esdeath's uniform. Jean gives laughs before Esdeath fired ice shards at him, ending his life.

"Come now Tatsumi. We got much to do." Tatsumi looks back and grabs his spear. He sees the now dead body of Jean collapse to the ground. He transforms back to his normal state, he slowly approaches the body until he heard Esdeath call out his name. He turns around and catches up to Esdeath.

Bordeaux, France
March 17, 1963
19:00

After running and flying for several days, Jeanne reaches Bordeaux. Bordeaux is one of the very few cities by the Atlantic ocean where the Nazis controlled that allows international trade from non-Axis's controlled states. Primarily from the US, though trade here goes through strict and rigorous screening to make sure weapons or foreign propaganda comes into the Reich, smugglers are able to get prohibited items through and made many riches from the smuggling trade. The city of Bordeaux is also one of five cities where American diplomats and high-ranking military and civil service personnel are allowed to enter with others being London, Paris, Vichy, and Berlin.

As Jeanne reaches towards the city she transforms herself into an eagle and spotted an ally way for her to transform herself into a person. She makes herself look like an average German-French woman, with brown hair and blue eyes. Stashing in the film and sound tapes in a carry-on bag she found in the ally. She looks around through the streets hoping to find this US Army colonel. She must hurry quickly for she has only an hour before the mandatory curfew is instated and she couldn't really transform herself into a US personnel without her fake ids and documents. She walks through the streets and encounters an officer's bar that is only opened only for US Military officers. She enters the bar and sees many American officers wearing class-B uniforms enjoying their time in the bar. It was the end of the workweek. Many American military officers who are allowed special visas to enter Bordeaux or any of the other five cities under Nazi rule are allowed to enjoy their time drinking.

Jeanne is looking through the bar trying to find a colonel.
"Reeds, Army colonel, eagle pin." As she looks around she asks a Major, asking where this army colonel is. He gives her some direction at where his best guess is. Her suspicions are true, that this Army colonel is somewhere in this bar. She looks around even more and sees what she believes is the colonel. A US Army colonel with a silver eagle pin. She sits next to him and asks him in English.
"Are you Col. Reeds by any chance?" Jeanne Ask him.

"Yes, I am. Who asked for me?" Reeds tell Jeanne.

"Have you read the works of Verlaine?" Jeanne asks him.

"Of course. One of my favorites is the autumn song." He replies back to her.

"Oh really. That is also my favorite too." Jeanne replies. Reeds look around a couple of times ad sees the coast is clear. He tells Jeanne to meet him in the upstairs rooms on the first left door in five minutes. He leaves her and walks towards their destination place. She waits for the five minutes to pass by and walks up to the room col. Reeds told her to go. She opens the door and sees him in there. He tells her to check the hallway and to close it gently. Jeanne does as commanded. After closing the door she turns around and sees a pistol pointing at her face.

"Who are you and who sent you?" Col. Reeds asked her.

"The name is Jeanne, I'm the wife of Marçon. I was sent here to relay you a few materials." Jeanne explains to Reeds.

"Bullshit, Marçon's wife doesn't have brown hair or blue eyes. He told me what she looked like. So tell me who you are and it will be over quickly." Col. Reeds has his M1911 trained on Jeanne's head.

"Fine then, I'll show you my true form. Just don't freak out or anything." Jeanne tells Col. Reeds.

"I've seen worse." He replies to Jeanne. Within a mere second. Jeanne (Chelsea) transform's herself back into her normal form with auburn hair, red eyes, and headphones. She's carrying a slightly ragged bag now.
"Holy shit, you are her." Col. Reeds is surprised by her transformation as he lowers his pistol down.

"Now you do believe me, colonel?"

"Now I do." He tells her, he asks Jeanne (Chelsea) to tell him everything that has happened he is saddened by the loss of his contacts, Marçon and Jean. Now he knows nothing of what is happening in France aside from the stuff told by the Nazi party. He was also given the film and tape of the battle of Lyon.
"Is there anything that I need to know? Because I'm being called back stateside tomorrow. " He asks Chelsea.

"Yes, a spy of mine came into reports about the nazis amassing a large army in Brest and Plymouth, alongside with a fleet amassing in different harbors aswell. as well as in the Iberian peninsula. I was also told that the dragon knight and ice general are heading to Brest, I believe an invasion is imminent against the US?" Chelsea tells Reeds.

"Hmm, how about this. I want you to get to Brest as fast as you can. Through means unknown, I came into contact with an admiral controlling the fleet. Do everything that you can to separate the two. Because I doubt there is anything that the US can do against the two if together. Also if you know where the nazis will land, then I want that information as well. I will report these to my higher-ups including President Kennedy. Thank you for your hard work." Reeds orders Chelsea before she leaves he tells her one thing more.

"When your able to confirm that the two are separate, message me through radio. I'll be giving you an encryption code. Also once you get into US shores, attempt to get off of the ship and swim for the shore. I'll guarantee your safety there." Reeds give Chelsea one last order before she thanks him.
"Thank you, colonel. I'll stay safe." She transforms herself back to her disguise and leaves the room. She soon leaves the bar and heads for the nearest safe-house in Bordeaux.

To Address the last chapter with Kurome's backstory. I'm a believer in conspiracy theory, and their is a theory about creatures hiding in the Appalachian mountains. A possible unknown or supernatural reason for why many people go missing every year in the same locations, a better reason for the xistance of the Natural Parks rather then Theodore Roosevelt likening American landscape beauty. Or possible CIA experiments that have failed?
