Hello, and back here once more with this fic. Like I said last chapter, here we will see Robin's son and daughter, and learn somethings about them. If you enjoy, please review, favorite and follow.
"Nami-san, here's a drink."
The curly-eyebrow chief said, while acting like a real servant, he gave the refreshment to the navigator. Zoro, who was training on the deck nearby, muttered that even after Nami got married, the blonde didn't give up any of his usefulness for them. Even after he got married, he still acted like that.
"Thank you Sanji-kun."
She replied, taking the glass of juice. Nami was only in beach clothes and using sunglasses, taking a sunbath. Sometimes she would look towards the island where they had stopped, and give a slight smile.
Sanji had a dumbfounded face when he answered.
"Wel- AAARGH!"
He suddenly yelled, dropping the tray, that at least was empty. In his right hand, a girl with blond hair, three eyes, who wore a pink dress, and looked to be around five years old, bit his fingers. In his left hand, a boy with messy ginger hair, dark eyes, orange shirt and blue shorts, was also biting him. They both looked like they had sharp teeth in place of their ordinary teeth, and had angry expressions in their eyes.
"Sora-chan, can you please stop biting daddy... And Cheri, you little sh-"
He asked the girl gently, even with tears coming out of the corners of his eyes, but when he turns to the boy, he looks ready to kick him. Except that Nami looks at him out of the corner of her eye, and makes it clear that if he finishes what he wanted to talk about, he wouldn't live to make the next lunch. So Sanji just forces a smile and stares at the kids.
"Cheri, stop biting Sanji-kun. And Sora-chan, do you want some of my juice too?"
At the same time the children stopped biting the curly eyebrowed man, and went to Nami.
"Thank you Nami-san."
The little three-eyed one spoke with a gentle smile, an expression completely opposite from the one she was showing seconds ago.
Cheri blushed a little seeing her smile and turned his face away. Of course his mother noticed this detail and gave a mischievous smile.
"Why aren't you guys like that with me too? Even you Sora-chan?"
He spoke crying, more because of his own daughter acting that way with him than because of the bites. In fact, if you looked at his fingers, there weren't even any marks. The two however just looked at him with irritation in their eyes.
"Shut up your worthless father!"
His tears only increased with that.
"Argh, I wish I had gone with Dad, at least I wouldn't have had to deal with him."
Cheri said with his narrowed eyes, staring at Sanji, who was also looking at him annoyed. More because of the boy's proximity with his daughter than for what he did.
"You would find it very boring.", she looks at the island, a peaceful smile was on her face. "Although they are certainly having fun."
...
The island they were on was covered by the forest, with no village or town. However there were ruins everywhere, wildlife sometimes passed over it, just showing how much time has passed since the civilization that lived there perished. The island's peace, however, was broken by the arrival of the four.
A little girl ran through the forest, leaping through tree roots, grabbing branches, swaying and throwing herself into the next, where she repeated the same movement, before dropping to the ground and running again. She had short dark hair, flowing to the back of her neck, she had brown skin, wore a red shirt and gray jeans as well as yellow shoes. She ran, laughing, a smile that went from ear to ear. The little one must have been about four years old.
"ANN GO SLOWER!"
Behind her was an older boy, probably nine years old. He had the same hair as her, only while hers was messier, his looked more tidy. He wore a black T-shirt, dark shorts and flip-flops. The two were very similar, clearly brother and sister.
The boy was behind his sister, but unlike her, he wasn't jumping through the branches. In a way she was living up to her last name. But he ran, almost animal-like, bending his legs like an wild animal and placing his hands on the ground.
Ann looked at him behind her, she seemed to be enjoying the situation, almost like thye were playing a catch game. However, distracted looking back, as soon as she jumped to grab one of the branches, the branch broke and she went straight to the ground. The older boy's eyes widened at the same time, he unconsciously began to transform, his entire body growing and being covered in gray hair, his arms becoming legs and his face lengthening. His child's body grew rapidly, however...
Before he needs to finish the transformation and before his sister falls, suddenly in his field of vision his father appears, holding the girl without difficulty. He caught her with his right arm, supporting her on his big forearm.
"Shishishi, take it easy Ann."
This was clearly Monkey D. Luffy, the Pirate King. He was muscular and big, having two meters and a half, had an X-shaped scar on his chest, and at the moment he wore only shorts and his famous straw hat on his head.
The girl didn't even look affected or frightened by her near fall, in fact her eyes were shining seeing her father and his speed.
"Dad, are we going to do it again?"
A vein throbbed in her brother's forehead. He was already back to his human form, looking at Ann through narrowed eyes. His expression seemed to question how they were related.
"Shishishi, my bad, but no. Your mother won't let you."
"It's great to see how well you know me."
Robin's voice is heard behind them. She appeared with a peaceful smile, wearing a dark jacket, matching jeans, black shoes and sunglasses, which were on her forehead. Luffy gave a big smile, and faster than the children could keep up, he appeared at the archaeologist's side, kissing her on the cheek, increasing the size of his wife's smile even more. She looked quite small by his side. Ann was still on his arm, her eyes brightened even more after once again experiencing his speed.
"Mom, Ann is an idiot."
Robin couldn't help but chuckle at that.
"Saul, don't talk like that about your sister."
The boy sighs, and looks at his clothes. His shorts were fine, but his shirt had ripped.
Ann jumps out of Luffy's arms, closes her fist and hits Saul's head.
"You're the idiot!"
She says, running to hide behind her father, sticks her tongue out at him while craning her eye. Once again a vein throbs in the older brother's forehead, which turns his teeth into fangs and his nails and tries to scare her. However, she just throws a pebble at his head.
"Argh! You..."
"Shishishi, ok, ok. Ann, apologize."
Luffy interrupts before the two continue. He pats her head, as she puffs up one of her cheeks.
"Sorry Saul..."
He sighs.
"Okay, okay."
He says getting up. Robin watched the entire scene with a sweet smile on her face. Seeing her kids act like that always warmed her heart.
Luffy also carried a big smile from ear to ear. He picks up his daughter and puts her on his shoulders.
"Dad's giving me a ride! Shishishi!"
She raised her arms in the air and laughed.
"Want a walk or a race, huh, Ann?
Luffy asked with his playful tone. Beside him Robin didn't lose her smile, but a drop of sweat trickled down her forehead.
"RACE!"
The girl squealed excitedly. At the same time, Luffy jumped meters into the air, and using geppo, he ran to the sky.
"Want me to go after?"
Saul asked, turning to his mother. She sighed, and put her right hand to her face.
"No, you don't need to. Your father takes care of her well."
He sighs in agreement. His father might seem irresponsible, but in reality he was more protective than anyone.
"Do they even know where we're going?"
Robin opens her mouth to respond but ends up saying nothing.
- I think we'd better go after them.
She finally says. Saul sighs, and changes his shape. His body becomes that of a gray wolf, but at least five meters tall. He bends down, and Robin climbs on him without much difficulty. The archaeologist still remembered when Saul and Luffy got lost in a forest and the boy ate the fruit by accident because he was hungry. He acted less impulsively than his sister, but he was definitely still Luffy's son. However, this soon became a concern, especially since it was a zoan, a mystical zoan that would fit into the carnivore category. The Inu Inu no Mi, model Fenrir.
For the first few days he could no longer control his hunger, attacking raw pieces of meat. Specially because he was a small child, the fruit had a great effect on his mentality. Fortunately, Luffy, having gone through similar childhood experiences, was able to help him, and he did it with all the effort and affection in the world. Not only did it calm Robin to see him helping his son all the time to control his fruit, she herself had to ask Luffy to give him some space, but it also reminded her well why she fell in love with him. In addition, they also had Chopper, a little genius who had also eaten a zoan. It took some time, but Saul had managed to get back to some normalcy.
And in the end, it just turned out to be a good thing that their son was a user of one of the rarest Devil Fruits out there.
Also his speed wasn't something to be underestimated either, though he wasn't even close to matching his father's. Knowing this, he didn't even try to go to him, he just went straight to the ruins in the center of the island, which was where his mother really wanted to go, as that was probably where the most information she could get, as it was the ruins which were better preserved.
In midair, Ann cheered, laughing with excitement at the situation.
"Dad, we should do this more often! But it would be nicer if you used your powers."
"Shishishi, but then your mother and kaasans would kill me. And we don't want to draw attention."
He responds to his daughter's idea, already seeing his wives mad at him. The girl puffs out one of her cheeks, since she wouldn't see her father being amazing again for now. Though, she could see his point.
"Shishishi, I'm sure Nami-kaasan would!"
A drop of sweat ran down the forehead of the one in the straw hat. Fortunately Nami wasn't around to see what he was doing now. He then felt Saul and Robin heading towards the ruins in the center, and changing his direction slightly, he went there.
For him it took less than seconds, and he still got there before Saul.
"Incredible!"
Ann's eyes gleamed at the ruin, and the first thing she did was run inside.
"Wait Ann!"
Saul, having just appeared with his mother, soon ran after her.
"Fufufu, they are always so full of energy."
Robin commented, seeing her children, and also taking Luffy's hand.
"Of course! It couldn't be otherwise, right?"
He responded with a big, proud smile. He couldn't have wanted things any differently.
They walk to the ruins, following their children. The little one ran full of energy through the ruins of an ancient civilization, they had ended up on this island randomly because of the log pose, and seeing the ruins, Robin was instantly interested, and it soon became a family outing. They called the others, but even Nami wanted to stay on the ship to sunbathe, so in the end only the four of them came. Saul followed, making sure she didn't messed with or did anything she shouldn't. It was amazing, according to their uncle Sabo, she reminded her a lot of their father. Even her kaasans said she reminded way too much of him.
Luffy and Robin were right behind them, with the archaeologist paying attention to everything around her. She watched with a gleam in her eyes, and the one in the straw hat smiled seeing her like that. Saul had a similar reaction, he had inherited the same historical enthusiasm as his mother, with a particular passion for books.
"Hey, son, let me take care of your sister."
The Fenrir Fruit user's eyes sparkle.
"Please..."
He says with tears streaming from hos eyes, and his hands clasped together, almost as if in supplication. Robin giggles from her son reaction and lets go of her husband's hand. In the same second Luffy appears beside Ann, the two excitedly go around, picking up two sticks that were on the ground.
"The southern islands are hot, paina puru puru, their heads get hot, and everyone is idiots!"
"The northern islands are cold, hyaki koi koi, their heads get goose bumps, and everyone's idiots!"
The two leave humming. Saul sighs, a big drop of sweat running down his head. Robin had a hand over her mouth and was laughing.
So, mother and son focused on carefully observing the ruins, the marks and symbols on them.
"Mom, how did you get interested in archeology?"
It was an innocent question, which ran through his head a few times. Robin put a thoughtful hand to her chin.
"I think... it was the way I had to try to connect with the few people who liked my presence. In addition to bringing me closer to my mother and... I also liked it a lot."
She explained with a small smile on her mouth. It was true that her childhood was not the best, even before the Buster Call on her island, but her passion for archeology, the days in the trees of Ohara, those were all things she would always treasure.
"I see... I think it's a bit like me, except that I don't need it to get close to someone."
He spoke, scratching his head and looking away. Again Robin gave a gentle smile, just hearing her son admit that he liked the same thing she did and wanted to get close to her filled her with joy. She gently ruffled his hair.
After that they kept talking and deciphering what they could about the ruins.
"Here I go!"
Ann announced, throwing the stone with all her strength against the lake, making it bounce four times before sinking.
"Shishishi, you did well... but not enough."
Barely moving his arm, just making the throwing movement moving his wrist, Luffy makes the stone bounce until it reaches the other side of the lake, and it was a lake where Sunny could easily get inside.
Ann puffed out both her cheeks and glared at her father.
"That's not fair! Again! Again!"
She said, punching his leg, at which Luffy just laughed.
"How many times you want."
The girl however soon lost her confident expression and looked at the ground.
"Huh? Ann, what is it?"
Seeing her sudden change in attitude, he bends down, putting his head at the same height as hers, and puts a hand on her daughter's shoulder.
"Daddy, when am I going to get a fruit?"
Luffy raises an eyebrow at the little girl's question.
"Why do you want one?"
"Because big brother got one and he's very strong. Kamon-nii is also very strong with his! I want to be strong too!"
She explained, with a simple mindset.
"But Zoro and Sanji don't have fruit, and they're also very strong."
Hearing this, the girl widens her eyes, clearly not having considered this fact.
"And how can I get as strong as them?"
She asks with her eyes shining. Finally having realized that strength wasn't limited to a devil fruit, her excitement soared even higher.
"Shishishi, if it's like this, let me train you myself!"
Her jaw dropped to the floor.
"YOU SWEAR?"
Her eyes were shining like true stars. The prospect of her father training her seemed like the little girl's dream coming true. Luffy laughs some more and ruffles her hair even more.
"You can bet."
He responded with a big smile from ear to ear.
"YOU ARE THE BEST!"
She throws herself, hugging his neck and jumping up and down excitedly. Probably if she could, she would start training right now.
Robin and Saul had finished and were watching the scene with a smile. The sun was beginning to set, and the orange sky made a beautiful backdrop.
Luffy looks at his wife and son, lifts Ann in his arms and walks over to them.
"I think we'd better go, after all we promised Nami that we would return before nightfall."
Robin says taking Luffy's arm.
"Yes, in that case...
He gives a mischievous smile, quickly puts Ann on his shoulders, takes Robin like a princess using only one arm, and lifts Saul, who even tries in vain to resist with the other.
"Come on!"
In the next second, it was no longer possible to see them on the island, only the dust that rose with Luffy's speed.
So, any bets in what's Luffy's possible Devil Fruit here? I know Saul is the basic name for Robin's kid, but like I said, I am not too good with names. I do like the names I gave Nami's kids. You saw one this chapter, and you will find out the rest of it in the next one. Talking about the next chapter, it will the one with Shirahoshi's daughter.
El Pirato, thanks for the suggestion but I already have the name for Hancock's kids.
