Disclaimer: I do not own Sonic or the Avengers. Those franchises belong to the companies Sega and Marvel Comics. But please enjoy! And R.I.P. Stan Lee. I never would have been inspired to write this fic without you.

Sonic never would have believed it if he hadn't seen it for himself. The fact that three Avengers were in Soleanna brought back so many memories from the Battle of New York, when he was 7. It was where he first met the team as well as his idol, Captain America. The Blue Blur watched with absolute awe as War Machine cut down a large group of Egg Pawns with his repulsors and wrist guns, Hawkeye taking out the stragglers with his, and Winter Soldier getting civillians including the Midtown students to safety. It was at that moment after a few stray bullets missed him that Sonic remembered he was also in the middle of the battle.

Letting his feet carry him, the blue hedgehog ran for cover as more Egg Pawns began firing and proceeded to take out a group assaulting War Machine's positiom in the blink of an eye. Colonel Rhodes seemed highly impressed under the helmet. "Not bad, kid. Sonic, was it?" he asked.

"Yes, sir. Sonic the Hedgehog."

"Your old man and I go back some. But now isn't exactly a good time. As you may have noticed, Robotnik's invading on a coronation day. Since he's your expertise, I want you to find the Princess, get the Chaos Emerald she has, and get the hell out of here." War Machine then shot an Egg Pawn behind Sonic and the pair moved for cover inside a damaged shop. Rhodes reloaded his armor's wrist cannons and looked around outside. Most of the civillians had now been evacuated from the city.

War Machine patched into his comm and asked Hawkeye, "Clint, have you found her?"

"I have, but she's already been caught, and there's too many of these goddamn tin cans between me and Robotnik."

"Shit. Alright, tell Buck to fall back. We can't get to her right now. Any sign of Parker?"

"He's on his way to your position, Rhodey."

"Copy that, Clint. War Machine out."

Sonic stared at him as a kid, who Sonic recognized as one of the Midtown students, took cover inside a building. He was sweating profusely. "Sorry I'm late, Colonel Rhodes." he said. "There's a lot of those robots here."

"Never mind that, I'd like to introduce you to someone. Pete, this is Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic, this is Peter Parker, our newest member. Alright, I got a job for you both. I need you to follow the Egg Carrier to wherever he's headed, find Elise, and get that Chaos Emerald. And before I forget, Parker, here's your suit." Sonic watched Rhodes hand Parker a briefcase, which upon opening, contained what appeared to be none other than the Spider-Man suit.

Spider-Man gave Sonic a stern look and said, "Please don't go telling anyone else I'm Spider-Man."

Sonic ducked as a rocket barely missed them. "Hey, man, I don't go around revealing people's secrets, so how about you get thing on so we can get out of here?"

"Ok. Sounds like a plan."

As Peter went behind a wall to suit up, War Machine fired a rocket at an Egg Pawn Sniper, destroying it instantly. After Spider-Man finished changing, War Machine bid them good luck and the pair ran and swung off.
