EPISODE 7: APES OF WRATH PART 2
(Adapted from "A Wild Present")
After a 35 second recap, because there was a lot from the last episode to go over from the new powers and characters to some key lines and details, we cut to our heroes, who run up to Goriz's temporary house as the sun sets, looking for the Zooman. Judging by how it's dusk, it seems like they've been searching the forest for a while.
And upon getting close enough…they find that the "house" is…empty.
Jackie: What the...?
Caleb: No, this can't be right!
Sylvia: How did he pack all his stuff and leave?
Winston: (looks at the sky) Well we won't find him out in the dark woods. It's getting late. Let's teleport back to the zoo and tell Martha about this tomorrow.
Benny: (sighs) Okay. Sounds good…I just hope Goriz is okay.
The team takes out their Morphers and then we hard cut to later that night.
Or to be more specific…
…the spot that Benny "destroyed" Blockhead at.
And to be more specific…we see his blue block-shaped remains, scattered across the leafy forest floor, illuminated in the moonlight.
Then…the blocks start to twitch and move.
And before we know it…they move.
But not just moving, no, they're rolling back into form.
We get one more wide shot of the blocks rolling back into place, as a blue light begins merging them back together…
Hard cut to downtown Dolphin Coast in the daytime, with some text appearing at the bottom of the scream that says, "The Next Morning".
But then, we hear a voice yell out…
Gobbledile: Chow time!
Intense rock music (just go with it) plays as the skyscraper in the background…gets shorter!? We then zoom far over to the shirking building to see Gobbledile, the monster our heroes fought in part 1, eating through the building layer by layer, just constantly chomping, and chomping until most of the building is just completely gone.
With that out of the way, he hops down onto open city ground.
Gobbledile: That abandoned building was delicious! Let's go for seconds! Hahaha!
As he chuckles though, the rest of the rangers run-up, but teleport in, and get puzzled upon seeing him.
Benny: Wait…is that…(gasps) You!
Caleb: Oh, come on!
This yell of course makes Jackie flinch her hands towards her ears for a second, while also getting the monster's attention.
Gobbledile: Huh? What was that?
Right as he looks over, we get brief flashback footage to Part 1.
Quick reminder for those who forgot, at the beginning of that episode, the Zoo King Megazord used the Reticulated Giraffe Zord to destroy an army of Tr-Star Ships, including one Gobbledile was in, which makes the monster jump out the intergalactic vehicle down to Earth while yelling…
Gobbledile: (while jumping out) Not today, Zoo-Keepers! (while falling) I still have so many sights to eat!
Hard cut back to the present.
Winston: Ugh, we completely forgot about him!
Sylvia: You're just realizing this NOW?
Gobbledile: Well, if it isn't the uh…um…I wanna say…was it Wild Prime?
Cue perfectly timed comedic facepalming from the entire team.
The Rangers and Blockhead: Zoo-Keepers!
Jackie: Wait, who was…?
Hard cut to several yards away, behind Gobbledile, to see none other than Blockhead, fully reformed like nothing happened, walking up in slow motion.
Blockhead: Finally! The hunt can resume as planned!
Benny: Blockhead!?
Sylvia: How!? Y-You just died!
Blockhead: Lucky for me…
He continues speaking as we see the rest of the nighttime footage when he fully revived in the woods.
Blockhead: …I have the power to regenerate myself upon destruction.
Benny: (to himself) But…he's not giant.
Blockhead: I'd love to stick around for some revenge…
And then we cut to another flashback where we see him pull Gobbledile out of the ground and into the air, before landing on his back while Blockhead keeps talking.
Blockhead: …but it's about time my hunter took care of things from here.
Okay, enough flashbacks (for now).
Blockhead: Back to work, Gobbledile. You know what to do. (said as he pats him on the back and starts to leave)
Gobbledile: Not to worry boss! Back to chowing!
Benny: (while whipping out his Morpher and turning the top of it fast) This city isn't yours to EAT!
The Rangers: (as they run) Zoo Mode Go!
While running forward, the team instant morphs into the suits with no roll call or anything, then starts to fight the jumbo-jawed beast.
Gobbledile: (as they grab into him) What do you think you're doing!?
Caleb and Sylvia then slash him with their normal gloves.
Gobbledile: Ow! That stings!
He then shakes free of their grips and backs up several feet, the others grouping up as well.
Gobbledile: Fine! You asked for it! (the others tense up) Here it comes...!
The two sides get in poses, ready for battle, but…
Gobbledile: Ha! Gotcha!
As he says this, the monster super speed runs off to his right (via speed up Sentai footage), leap into the air, and start chowing down on the mostly glass window-coated skyscraper next to them, making trails with his destructive chomping canine teeth.
Gobbledile: Adios!
This is said as he leaps off the building and teleports away in a green flash.
Back to the team as debris falls near them…
Caleb: Hey! Get back here!
Our Red Ranger is ready to grow his wings and chase Gobbledile, unaware that he teleported out, but right as he does…
Benny: PRIMAL…!
Jackie: Wait!
The blue ranger walks forward to focus her hearing…And hears crying.
Jackie: I hear a child!
Benny: What!?
We then hard cut over to the nearby rubble right as Caleb pushes away a large rock slab and they start looking for the source of their crying.
Caleb: Hello!? Anyone here!?
Sylvia: Hello!?
As the two yell this out, Winston throws a stone debris piece aside and then follows after the two cat rangers as they run forward.
Winston: We're here to help!
This is yelled out as they run off-screen, leaving Benny and Jackie behind with Jackie trying to focus her ears.
Jackie: There's someone over there!
Benny: Huh?
We then cut several yards away to see a giant stone piece of debris getting pushed away, and out from under it steps a familiar-looking person in layers of clothing, helping a crying child out of the spot they got buried under. Our 2 rangers gasp, demorphing and running up to help.
Benny: Are you two okay!?
Goriz: Y-Yes. We're fine. (said as he looks at Benny with sunglasses on)
Benny: (looks at him)…Goriz!?
This catches the lying Zooman off guard as the others run up behind them, demorphing.
Goriz: Uh, n-no! Y-You must be thinking of someone else—
Benny: Oh no you don't!
Tired of the disguise, Benny grabs the beanie atop Goriz's head, ripping off quickly…revealing that Goriz's hair…has somehow turned white and grey.
Benny: (eyes widen) What the…?
Caleb: (running up) Woah-ho-ho! What happened to your hair!?
The yellow ranger then quickly grabs the bandana-like mask and sunglasses that were covering Goriz's face off.
Goriz: Gah! I…(sighs) Great.
He says this while grabbing his head, which has more white hair than they thought.
But then…the gorilla feels something grab onto him.
He slowly looks down to see the little girl he had rescued looking up to him and grabbing onto his jacket with her hands. Goriz, upon realizing he's being stared at by a human that isn't a ranger, covers his face on instinct with his hands, but then the little girl starts to speak.
Little Girl: Mr. Gorilla? (he uncovers his face) Thank you for saving me.
She then leans her head into his jacket, like a hug.
Goriz: …You're…very welcome, little one. (he pats head hair as she keeps hugging him while remaining calm)
Way up on the Arrow Galion…
Blockhead: (walks through the revolving door) I'm home! Mind getting me my usual, Midaria?
Midaria: Y-Yes.
Blockhead: Thanks.
Sagittar: So, Blockhead. How did it feel to reform on Earth?
Blockhead: How did it feel? I mean…about as refreshing as the other times I have? …Whatever. The hunt's back on so sit back and enjoy!
Insidion: (to himself) How interesting.
Cue Theme Song (1 Minute)
We then cut down to the Sanctum, Goriz sitting on the Lounging Section couch as the others stand next to him.
Goriz: I have to say, this is all very impressive.
Sylvia: So, you like the Sanctum?
Goriz: Si. It's nice in particular to see the Link Cube again after all these years.
Benny: (holding his phone) Alright. My mom should be down here in a few minutes or less…Think you can handle meeting another human, Goriz?
Goriz: Well, as long as she's nice and you 5 are here…I think I'll be fine.
Jackie: Trust me. Martha is a great person, and she would never hurt any animal; let alone a Zooman.
Winston: Right. But before we start…
Sylvia: We have an important question on our minds.
Goriz: Oh! Well then, fire away!
Benny: (kneels next to him) Why did your hair turn white?
Goriz: (chuckles) I dyed it last night.
Jackie: …Oh really.
Winston: Yeah, no offense Goriz, but that's not fooling anybody down here.
Caleb: Really? Sounds possible to me.
Winston: It's not about it being a possibility, it's about the plausibility of it given what we already know.
Sylvia:...It's like that because you healed Benny, isn't it?
Goriz: (sighs) Alright, you got me. Yes, my hair has turned white because I used his Keeper Cube to heal him with my Zooman Power.
Benny: (shakes his head) Wait. Zooman Power?
Winston: What's that?
Goriz: While your ranger abilities are more tied into animal spirit energy, Zooman Power is energy left over from the Link Cube that exists only in my kind. Think of it as…a lifeforce, flowing through our veins like a stream of blood would through yours…And also, ours I guess. You know, cause…we all need some blood—You get the point.
Winston: So…you've lost some of your life force by giving it to Benny.
Goriz: Si. That is accurate.
Caleb: Meaning in other words…
Jackie: Goriz's life span has been shortened.
Upon hearing these words, Benny's eyes widen in slight shock and fear while the others ponder this.
Benny: (to himself/almost panicky) What have I done?
Quickly, the red ranger pulls out his Morpher and grips it with his hand while making sure Goriz's clasp around it, which confuses both the team and the Zooman.
Goriz: W-Woah there! What's gotten into you?
Benny: I'm giving you back your power!
Goriz: What!? N-No! (said as he pushes the Morpher away) I don't need it!
Benny: I can't accept your life! (puts their hands back on the Morpher) Oh, mighty Keeper Cube. Please return Goriz's Zooman Power!... I'm begging you!
Despite both of them gripping onto the Keeper Cube…nothing happens, and no power is exchanged or returned.
Benny: (stands up slowly) …But why…?
Goriz: (chuckles and stands up) I guess it can't be returned amigo.
Benny: (gets his Morpher pushed back to him) …It can't be (hangs his head)
Goriz: Hey, relax. It's not that big of a deal—
Benny: B-But it is! I took away your life force from you!
Goriz: NO. I GAVE IT TO YOU.
Benny: Well, you shouldn't have! I would trade it back right this second if I could!
Goriz: Need I remind you that my power saved you from dying!
Benny: I'd rather die if it meant not hurting you!
Jackie: Woah, dude! Calm down!
Benny: No! You don't get it! I did it again! I got another animal hurt! This is the last thing I wanted to do! Just when I think I'm good at something, I…UGH! Doubutsu!
With tears forming in his eyes, Benny teleports out of the Sanctum, knocking everyone off guard.
Caleb: …What was that about!?
Sylvia: (to herself) Is that what happened to him?
Just then, amidst the confusion, the Sanctum's elevator door opens.
Out steps the boss herself, Martha, with some pudding for a snack in her hand, not looking directly at the team as she walks over to them, not noticing Goriz sitting on the couch for the moment.
Martha: (swallows some pudding) Alright team. I got half an hour for break time. (has some more pudding) What do you want to show me?
She then comes to a stop…and with a still face and widened eyes, drops her pudding cup.
Goriz: …Umm (coughs) Hola?
Martha: (still wide-eyed) …Is that a Gorilla Zooman on the Lounging Section couch?
Goriz: …Uh, m-my name is Goriz. You must be Martha.
Martha: …TEAM?
Jackie: We need to talk.
Hard cut to where Benny teleported off to, sitting on a bench in the forest near the zoo, holding his Morpher in hand and staring at it in sadness.
Benny: I actually hurt another animal.
We then hard cut to a memory of Benny at age 14, sitting in a vet's office, crying his eyes out into Martha's shoulder, as she hugs him tight while a little teary-eyed.
Martha: (in the flashback) It's ok honey. I'm here.
But, as we cut back to the present…
Benny: (his eyes widen) Wait…So then…when I became the Red Eagle Ranger…
And then we flashback to the rest…of the Harris memory from Episode 1 and 2 in the forest that one rainy night.
Harris: Take this charm. I promise it'll protect you.
We see the young Benny grab the Keeper Cube out of the Zooman's hands, but as soon as he does and Harris nods, his hands then grab onto it while Benny holds it, and right as he does, the cracks of the Keeper Cube glow bright red in one second. After it does, we get a panning shot to see Harris healing Benny with the same technique. Not only did he get a special charm that night…but he was also healed by Harris's Zooman Power…He's inadvertently taken the lifeforce of two Zoomans.
Back to the present once more.
Benny: (sounding even sadder than before) …OH NO.
He then grips onto the Morpher in his hand tighter while staring down at in with sadness.
Now we can cut back over to the Sanctum as the others finish up recapping the last episode's events, text appearing at the bottom of the screen saying, "10 Minutes Later".
Martha: …WELL THAT WAS A LOT...
Sylvia: If you need more time to process it—
Martha: No, no, I processed it, I'm just…uh…Okay (claps her hands together) First question, why didn't you tell me Benny got hurt?
Winston: Right. W-We thought because Goriz healed him that it wasn't that big of a deal.
Martha: UH, excuse me!? Yes, it is, I'm his mother! I need to know this stuff! W-Winston, you're a father! What if Tiana got hurt and no one told you?
Winston: ...I, uh—
Sylvia: Hey! Now's not the time for that.
Caleb: Right. Benny ran off right before you got here.
Martha: (shakes her head) …W-What? Why?
Goriz: Because healing him meant taking some of my life force…he thinks he's badly hurt me.
Jackie: He also said something about...hurting another animal?
She ponders this for a second…but then it clicks for her.
Martha: Oh no. Now I get it.
Winston: So, you DO know what's going on?
Martha: (sighs)…When Benny was 14, we got a huntaway puppy. His name was Buddy, and…they were practically inseparable…Then one day, while I was doing work in our old house for the zoo…Buddy got hit by a car…He died at the vet, and…Benny blamed himself for it because he had thrown Buddy's ball out into the street as the car hit…But I still feel like it's my fault too, you know, I could have…Done something if it meant not…seeing his little face just…(sniffles a little) laying on that table, looking at nothing but Buddy, it just…it just broke him…He wanted nothing more but to be a zookeeper when he grew up and then…that happened.
Caleb: So, he ISN'T a zookeeper.
Goriz: …He's just like me when I wanted to start avoiding people. A dream turned into fear because of one painful moment.
Winston: But that doesn't make any sense. He wears a red zookeeper uniform, doesn't he?
Martha: It was when he was gonna try another job close to the dome, but then…(shrugs) Jagged showed up.
Sylvia: That's the other part confusing me. If he's so scared of trusting himself to watch an animal and take care of them then why become a RANGER?
Jackie: That's WAY more dangerous.
Martha: (sighs) The one question that has been in my head for weeks.
Winston: Trauma works in weird ways. When my family died I hated going in cars cause of the crash, but I was fine with the bus.
Sylvia: I guess. It still sounds really odd though.
Goriz: Well, regardless, someone should go find him and bring him back. Especially since he's a ranger. You may need him if another monster attack occurs.
Back in the city, almost on cue, it looks like Gobbledile has returned.
This time, he stands in between several buildings as if he's about to have an all-you-can-eat buffet.
Gobbledile: Alright! It's about time I feast on a skyscraper with live prey inside it!
Back in the sanctum…
Martha: (holding out her phone) Alright. I just texted him. He's okay, he's just taking a breather in the city park.
Suddenly, the Cubimals start to freak out again.
Jackie: Woah, calm down, dudes!
Sylvia: There must be another monster attack in the city!
Winston: It's gotta be the one from earlier.
Caleb: Right! Let's go!
Jackie: W-Wait. We might need Benny's help on this.
Goriz: Indeed. (stands up) You go fight. Martha and I will grab him from the park.
Winston: …A-Are you sure about that?
Martha: Yeah. You know parks have a lot of people, right?
Goriz: I have a disguise. I'll be okay. Besides my fears shouldn't be put above saving people. Now go!
Jackie: …Y-Yes sir!
The Others: Doubutsu! (teleport out)
Goriz: (picks up his clothes) Well don't just stand there. We've got an egghead to find.
Martha nods at this before the two rush to the Sanctum's elevator door.
Back downtown to Gobbledile…
Gobbledile: Before I chow down, let's check the rest of the menu!
This is said as he turns around takes a few steps forward to look at another building.
Gobbledile: (while stepping back) Hmm…Eh, looks a little too small! (turns back around) Screw it! This one looks good! (leaps into the air) It's chow time! (gets blasted right in the teeth by Savage Blaster shots) What the—AAAAAAAAAAAAH! (lands perfectly balanced on his nose) Ow! What was that!?
The last part is said as Jackie, Caleb, Winston, and Sylvia run up fully morphed with their blasters out.
Jackie: Let's finish this glutinous gator!
Caleb: Alright! Charge! (they run toward the monster)
Gobbledile: (gets himself back up) Ah, that's better-Huh? You, again!?
Sylvia: We won't let you get away this time!
She yells this out as the Savage Blaster to Saber change sound can be heard quickly, implying the team switched the mode super-fast, then finally get close enough to start slashing at Gobbledile for a few seconds, while he says…
Gobbledile: (while dodging their hits) And I won't let you mess with my menu, again! (pulls out Amoebanoid coins) Have some appetizers.
Of course, the coins are thrown out and the Amoebanoids are summoned with their blaring voices.
Gobbledile: Sorry to keep you waiting Amoebanoids. Attack!
The grunts charge forward and start attacking the team.
We get a summersault dodge and sword stab from Caleb before cutting to the park.
It's slightly cloudier over here than it was by the fight as we see Benny sitting on a bench in front of a lake…And then he looks to his left and is slightly surprised to see Martha walking up to him…alongside Goriz in his heavily clothed, sunglasses-wearing disguise we saw earlier.
Goriz: Hola, Benjamin.
Benny: Mom! ..Y-You met Goriz?
Martha: The others filled me in earlier.
Benny: Oh…Well, what are you two doing here?
Goriz: (sits down next to him on the right side of the bench) We came to talk to you real quick.
Benny: …I see…Look, Goriz, I…I'm sorry about your lifeforce.
Goriz: Don't worry about it, amigo. It's not that bad a consequence.
Benny: But…it is though. I should have never interfered with your life like this…And now I've ruined your life because of it.
Goriz: (takes off his sunglasses) Benny. (pulls down his scarf) You've done the exact opposite.
Benny: (looks at him) Wait, what?
Goriz: You haven't ruined my life, amigo, you gave it back to me! Yesterday I was so scared of being around humans. Not because of a phobia of them or anything, but because…I was afraid of trying to connect with people again. I've tried it before and failed so many times that…after I got injured, it was just kind of the last straw. I thought my dream of anthropology was over…But you reinvigorated me. And now, not only am I comfortable enough to be around cities but…I even saved a little girl because of it. Remember earlier when that monster ate that building?
Benny: Oh yeah. I almost forgot about that.
Goriz: THAT was because of you! And sure, I may not survive as long as I should anymore, but…that's okay. Because whatever's left of my life…at least I'm living it again.
Benny: So, …you're not mad at me?
Goriz: Anything but. You gave me the power to live, and I gave you the power to live. (shrugs) Sounds fair to me.
Benny: …I guess so…
Martha: (puts her hand on his shoulder) I know you feel bad because of what happened with Buddy…But it wasn't your fault, egghead.
Benny: (lets out a sad sigh) Still feels like it though.
Martha: Yeah, I know.
Goriz: Well…regardless of how you feel, here's the truth. (kneels and grasps his hand) You HAVEN'T hurt me…And I hope I've made it up to YOU.
The young man looks down at his clasped hands, now relaxing a bit more with a deep breath.
Suddenly, his Eagle zord pops up, making worried noises.
Benny: Eagle zord?...(gasps) Monster attack!
Martha: The others are downtown now, fighting. Guess they need help now.
Goriz: Yes. So, tell me. Are you just gonna sit here and let that monster go ballistic?
He thinks for a second…then stands up quickly and whips out his Morpher from behind his back.
Benny: (looks at the others while smiling) No, I'm not.
Over to the team, Caleb does a flipping move and clashes blades with an Amoebanoid, before panning over to Jackie as she leaps down and tackles an Amoebanoid down to the ground, before starting to sword clash with them (and because of bad choreography, some wait for their turns to attack because OF COURSE). Then we cut over to Sylvia hopping off the shoulders of an Amoebanoid and then rolling forward towards more of the grunts and getting back up on her feet to slash at some right as Winston joins her and attacks the circle of foot soldiers trying to surround them.
However, after a few seconds of that, we get a shot of Winston cutting down an Amoebanoid…while Gobbledile watches in the background.
Gobbledile: Ooh! Those weapons look colorful and delicious!
Winston: Huh? T-THESE!?
Gobbledile starts chomping at Winston's Savage Saber, while the others start pushing Amoebanoids out of the way and trying to get around them to help their friend out…only for things to go downhill.
First, Caleb tries striking at him with his Saber, but Gobbledile bites it and rips it out of his hand.
Then Winston and Jackie try the same and get their swords stolen.
Finally, Sylvia tries to strike from behind, but Gobbledile is quick enough to bite down and grab her sword out of her hands as well.
Then, of course, he eats them whole.
Caleb: H-Hey!
Sylvia: Did he just eat those!
Gobbledile: (as the Amoebanoids gather up behind him) Yes I did! Now you eat this!
The Amoebanoids then fire energy blasts from their blades while Gobbledile launches some kind of energy attack from his helmet crest, which is strong enough to blast the team back a few feet and demorph them.
Gobbledile: You guys look tasty too! (leaps forward) It's chow time!
With his mouth open and his body flying through the air, the crocodilian killer is ready to kill the entire team with his biting force, but then…
…3 Savage Blaster shots come in from nearby, hitting Gobbledile in the mouth and blasting him back.
Once again, he lands perfectly balanced on his nose.
Gobbledile: Ow, my jaw!
The others pull themselves up for a second, then look behind them to see Benny, serious-faced, smoking Blaster in hand.
Benny: Guys! (runs up)
Winston: (as he gets up) There you are!
Then, while approaching the team and helping Jackie up, her face blushing a little of course, he says…
Benny: Sorry to worry you. I just needed to calm down. And I've made up my mind…If I can't return Goriz's Zooman Power…I'll fight with it.
Nearby, Martha and Goriz, running behind him, come to a stop with smiles.
The two nod in agreement at Benny's choice of action here.
Caleb: Glad to have you here lad.
Benny: You and me, both.
Back over to our villains, we see the Amoebanoids comedically helping Gobbledile get back up on his two legs.
Gobbledile: (as he gets back up) Alright! I'm back up!
The team then whips out their Morphers and presses their buttons. However, the camera primarily focuses on Benny's Morpher as he presses the 6 buttons this time.
The Rangers: (closes them up) It's Morphing Time! Zoo! Mode! Go!
Our course, you know the drill, they wave their hands, hollow cubic energy surrounds them, and they open their Morphers while raising them to the sky, BUT, when we get the Sentai-like morphing sequence, something different happens his time. Instead of doing the entire team all at once, Benny is the one who gets focused on first as his suit, at first, becomes the Red Eagle Ranger suit, but this time, it's a CGI gorilla that bites down on him and the gorilla face that forms on the suit, before we zoom in on his helmet as the Eagle face of it flips up and goes Gorilla mode. Of course, this is finished with the muscles fully forming too.
Then the others morph normally before we get a slightly different version of the greenscreen sentai roll call.
Benny: Keeper of the Jungle! Red Gorilla Ranger!
Jackie: Keeper of the Ocean! Blue Shark Ranger!
Caleb: Keeper of the Savannah! Yellow Lion Ranger!
Winston: Keeper of the Forest! Green Elephant Ranger!
Sylvia: Keeper of the Tundra! White Tiger Ranger!
Benny: (raises fists in front of greenscreen) POWER RANGERS… (throws a windy/fiery punch)
The Rangers: …Zoo-Keepers! (cue sentai footage greenscreen pose)
Benny: (while beating his chest) If you go ballistic, we go animalistic!
Gobbledile: Crush them!
Now for the final ground fight of the episode.
Benny starts using his Red Gorilla Ranger strength immediately, punching at least 9 Amoebanoids coming at him up into the air. The others then grow their Primal Power suit upgrades in front of their stock footage like usual, before we cut nearby to see Gobbledile…I guess made a run for a parking lot next to a parking building (yeah, I think it's just a bad sentai footage cut), but thankfully, the team is hot on their tail.
Gobbledile: Huh? What the…!?
Jackie "swims" toward Gobbledile and strikes him a little bit on the legs, then Caleb and Sylvia leap onto him from each side to strike him rapidly with their claws, of course, editing in some small lightning and Snow Strike effects because they're not in the Sentai footage before they leap off and we cut over to Winston, who runs up, comes to a stop, and then Elephant Earthquake slams the ground, which thankfully strikes the monster.
Gobbledile: Enough dinner dodging! Eat this!
We then get a fun shot where Gobbledile starts launching his energy crest attacks at the team, who dodge them quickly, right as Benny, with the Eagle Shredder latched onto something nearby, swings above them like he's Tarzan, even making the Tarzan yell, before swinging back down toward the monster and yelling…
Benny: (swinging down) Gorilla SLAMA!
After this Donkey Kong cartoon reference, the punch makes a mini shockwave that sends Gobbledile flying several yards away.
Gobbledile: (while being launched) Ah, my teeth!
He then goofily bounces off a street light pole into the air, and as he falls to the ground…
Benny: Time for some fisticuffs!
We then get several seconds of Benny, punching Gobbledile up and down into the air, but after the final punch into the air, the monster ends up opening his mouth up as he falls back down and tries and bite down on Benny, who's only able to stop his jaw from closing down on him with his muscles.
4 seconds of struggle go by before Benny pushes his arms up with enough force that he not only breaks free, but he breaks open Gobbledile's jaw!
Gobbledile: (mouth open) Ow! Ow! OW, my jaw's stuck!
Benny then throws one more into the air punch into Gobbledile's face, who of course flies back into the air one more time, right as the others run over to help Benny out, before he lands back down onto the ground, cracking concrete and making the team pose for more battle, which oddly helps Gobbedile because it fixes his jaw.
Gobbledile: (while getting back up) Ow!...Ow? Oh! I-It's fixed!
Benny: It's time to end this!
Then, seemingly out of nowhere, (because Zyuohger doesn't like showing these characters practicing any new finishers), Winston and Caleb get on their knees in a way that lets Benny stands on their backs, and Jackie and Sylvia stand behind them, placing their hands on Benny's sides, forming this weird team pose.
Gobbledile: What are you animal crackers doing!?
Then, the team starts channeling their energy together in a way that makes them all glow their different colors while saying…
The Rangers: WILD…FINAL…
Suddenly, Benny channels the energy into a gigantic energy fist!
The Rangers: …STRIKE!
With that, Benny punches the humongous fist towards Gobbledile, which raises a bit before hitting him as he stands there confused.
Gobbledile: What in the…? This can't be good!
The monster then screams out as the fist slams him hard enough into the concrete ground to finish him off.
On the Arrow Galion…
Blockhead: Well, Midaria? You know what to do.
Midaria: But of course, Blockhead.
She steps forward before we hard cut back down to Earth.
Like clockwork, she teleports in with the green poker chip-like effect and walks over toward Gobbledile with a continuation coin.
Midaria: Let's hope your big mouth will be more use full on the macro scale, Gobbledile.
She pushes the coin into his nose slot, and with a crocodilian below, his eyes glow, he springs back to life and then grows gigantic in a burst of fire, like other monsters.
Gobbledile: (as he grows) Let's have one more snack!
Benny: (Eagle zord in hand) Bring it on!
But then…the zord sound happens again, which makes Benny curiously pull out his Morpher. OH, and keep in mind, he's still the Gorilla Ranger. When he opens it up, the #6 button is the one glowing bright this time.
Benny: (as the others gather around him) Could this be…
He presses the button, closes the Morpher, and turns it to the yellow side, which by the way, looks a little funny given his giant fingers, and with that, the Keeper Cube glows red with Zooman Power energy radiating a little off of it as a NEW CUBIMAL is summoned from it, floating up into the air!
The zord then grows bigger, before…I guess using its power to make an illusion that almost looks like a Zakanada temple. The Cubimal lands atop a giant stone tower with some smokey effects, surrounded by other smaller cubic towers and banana trees on the ground The zord then starts to unfold, arms first. Said arms push the rest of the zord's body up as its head finally folds out and a giant gold canon comes out of the sky and attaches itself to its right shoulder. Ladies and gentlemen, our newest Cubimal.
Caleb: Woah, that's awesome!
The camera pans back to the new Cubimal, whose Zakanada illusion has faded to reveal it's placed atop a Dolphin Coast skyscraper.
Benny: It's a Mountain Gorilla Zord!?
Behind our red ranger, Goriz has run up behind him nearby to cheer them on.
Goriz: Go, get him amigo! Show him your animalistic wrath!
Benny: You got it, Goriz!
Caleb: Brilliant!
Benny: (while rolling his arm) It's zord time!
He then jumps high up into the air, then lands inside the Cubimal's cockpit, of course placing his Morpher inside the Command Cube for it, and now, he's ready to fight.
Benny: Mountain Gorilla Zord! (Adapted from "Cube Gorilla")
He says this while spinning the command cube, which makes the ape shake its head in agreement and blow smoke out its nose.
Gobbledile: Just you wait! I'll eat you two monkeys whole!
Benny: Gorillas are apes!
With another command cube spin, the Gorilla zord starts tossing random cubic debris off the top of the skyscraper down at the monster, sparks flying as a result.
Gobbledile: (as he gets hit) Ow! Stop!
Then, the gold canon on the Gorilla zord's back floats up and summons a trapeze-like swing.
The Cubimal grabs on and pushes up off the tall building.
Gobbledile: EAT THIS!
Once again, the crocodilian monster launch another crest attack at our red ranger as his zord misses the blast and swings down, while Benny does another Tarzan yell, before punching Gobbledile right in the face before it continues to swing.
Benny: Bring it around town! (spins the command cube)
The gorilla zord comes down one more time and punches Gobbledile again, before landing onto the ground this time.
Benny: (while cracking his knuckles) Now that this! (spins his command cube)
With that, the gold canon atop the Gorilla zord's shoulder blasts three shots that don't directly hit Gobbledile, but spark enough around him to cause discomfort.
Back on the ground as the others watch…
Sylvia: This is awesome!
Caleb: Keep it up, lad!
Gobbledile: (after the zord charges forward) Enough! I'm gonna eat you alive!
Benny: I'd love to see you try!
He spins his command cube again and the Cubimal launches forward, changing into cubic shape so that right as Gobbledile catches it with his mouth and bites down, it causes sparks and breaks his jaw wide open yet again.
Gobbledile: (mouth open) Augh! Not again!
Benny: Let this be a lesson not to mess with the Mountain Gorilla zord!
Yet ANOTHER command cube spin makes the Cube Gorilla turn back into its animal form, run forward, and grabs him by the legs. With another rough command cube push, the cubic primate lifts Gobbledile off the ground and throws him several hundred feet away onto his back.
Back over to the rest of the team…
Caleb: Awesome!
Sylvia: Yeah!
Goriz: The fight's not over yet, amigos! You two! Get up there!
With a shove, he pushes Sylvia and Winston forward, who now pull out their zords on instinct.
Sylvia: You got it Goriz!
Winston: (as she runs off) H-Hey! Since when does Goriz give us any…oh forget it!
Our green ranger then runs forward before we hard cut to the Siberian Tiger, Pygmy Elephant, and Mountain Gorilla cubimal charging ahead.
Benny: Alright. (pulls out his Morpher) Megazord, activate!
He opens up the Morpher, presses the blue Megazord button, and presses buttons 4, 5, and 6, before of course closing it up, spinning the top to the blue side, and plugging it back into the Command Cube, making the zords leap through the rings of fire from episodes 1 and 3, then go cubic (a bit more slowly this time), and stack on top of each other with Winston's zord being on the bottom, Sylvia's being in the middle, and Benny's being up top as usual.
Right as the Gorilla zord goes up top, the gold canon it comes with turns into a more cubic form itself then connects to the back of the Megazord revealing a head with horns/goggle-like eyes on it as the arms unfold and the new mighty mech beats its chest.
Benny, Winston, and Sylvia: Wild Kong Megazord! Ready! (Adapted from "Zyuoh Wild")
Gobbledile: (getting back up) Ugh. At least my jaw's fixed.
Benny, Winston, and Sylvia: Congo Cannon!
Suddenly, a black blaster appears in the Megazord's right hand, because of course they couldn't just show it being picked up or anything, and then fire rapid blasts at this episode's Caiman-faced fiend, who charges forward at them. He's able to dodge the blasts, unfortunately, and right as Benny tries to spin his Command Cube again, Gobbledile bites down on their new blaster and eats it.
Sylvia: Oh, you gotta be kidding me!
The Wild Kong Megazord throws a left hook right into Gobbledile's face, then two right hooks into his face. It then slaps his teeth with its right fist and then punches it quickly in the jaw teeth with its left fist. Then, it uppercuts the monster onto his back with his left fist and makes him fall onto the ground.
Benny: (pulling out his Morpher) Now, guys!
He, Winston, and Sylvia then turn the Morphers to the red animal side and plug them back into the command cubes. The Wild Kong Megazord stands in front of a black void with steam appearing behind it as it beats its chest because sentai footage before pushing its fists forward to charge up its final attack.
Benny, Winston, and Sylvia: Wild Kong Final Strike!
Like usual, energy pours over them before they spin their command cubes, launching the energy out as we cut outside the cockpit to see the Wild Kong Megazord, arms out, blasting its fists out like rockets towards the monster, only for them to regenerate in a cubic effect and blast out again.
Gobbledile: (while getting blasted) Gah! This bites!
The three rocket fist blasts are all direct hits and even make an energy effect that looks like the zords when they are stacked on top of each other, numbers, and all, which makes red electricity spark off of Gobbledile. We then get one final shot of a rocket fist as it returns to the Wild Kong Megazord with a steam effect as it reconnects.
Gobbledile: But I was only looking for some food! Is that so WRONG!?
With one final scream, the giga-gharial falls onto his side and explodes in a burst of red sparks and cubic debris as the Wild Kong Megazord beats its chest.
Benny: We did it!
Sylvia and Benny: Yay!
Benny: We did it, Winston!
Benny and Sylvia: Yay!
Back on the ground, the others celebrate this win.
Goriz, Caleb, and Martha yell out in excitement at this victory, Jackie, of course, flinching a little at this noise, as Goriz high fives Martha and then pulls Caleb and Jackie into side-hugs with a smile on his face. He chuckles a little then lets out a sigh of relief.
We then see the Wild Kong Megazord beat its chest one more time as Benny, still inside the Megazord, proudly says…
Benny: Aliens, zero, animals, WON.
After the battle, we hard cut to a sunset shot outside the city with a shot of Goriz and his backpack on, the team being there to see him off.
Caleb: Come on lad, are you sure you don't want to stay?
Sylvia: Yeah. You could sleep in the Sanctum.
Goriz: (chuckles) Sorry, amigos. But I think I want to try getting back into the world for a bit.
Martha: Well, remember. You'll always have a place at the zoo.
Benny: (while walking up to him) Here's some money for travels. And when you come back, let us know how things go.
Goriz: Of course. And while I travel, I'll try keeping an eye out for Zooman relics.
Benny: Thank you for everything, Goriz.
Goriz: No, Benny. Thank you. And uh (whispering) do me a favor. Just…TRY again with animals.
Benny: I'll…see what I can do.
Goriz: That's all I ask.
The ape Zooman then puts his sunglasses on and begins walking away.
And of course, everyone says goodbye to him.
Goriz: Adios!
Sylvia: Adios!
Caleb: Later lad!
Martha: See you around!
Winston: Goodbye Goriz!
Jackie: Later dude!
We then hard cut to sundown back at the zoo outside the Rainforest Sector's "Primate Palace". Benny stands next to Martha while holding the gorilla zord in one hand and letting the eagle zord perch on his shoulder. They're all looking through a window for the "Primate Palace" exhibit at the Rainforest Sector with Mountain Gorilla holograms.
Martha: Well, Goriz might be gone for now, but at least we have this little guy.
She scratches the Gorilla zord's chin, making it grunt happily.
Benny: (chuckles) That's a good point.
Martha: So, uh, what'd you bring us here for?
Benny: (inhales and exhales) Okay…I wanna try again.
Martha: …Try what again?
Benny: The Eagle Info Booth job. I want to start that up tomorrow.
Martha: (gasps) Oh honey, that's great! I knew you had it in you!
Benny: Yeah, well, I figured if Goriz was able to push past his fears, it's…only fair I at least try to do the same. Especially since I should've done it sooner…Mom, I know you never wanted me to be a ranger, and…I'm sorry if I haven't gotten to work in the way you wanted me to…Makes me feel pretty lazy, to be honest. (this makes Martha's face turn from curiosity to slightly worried) …But being the Red Eagle Ranger, it's…I really think it's helped me be more confident, so…thanks for letting me have this.
He then pulls her into a hug, Martha's returning it with her face looking slightly guilty now.
Martha: …Oh, o-of course, dear…Anything you need. I'll...always support you.
For the last scene, with a hard cut to the Washi Residence.
Benny is sleeping in his bed, with his two Cubimals stacked on top of each other, also catching some Zs. However, the door to his bedroom is slightly open, and through the gap we see Martha, checking on him. She has a smile on her, but once she closes the door, it fades with a sigh as she starts quietly talking to herself.
Martha: I can't take it from him…Not now.
She then looks at a picture on the wall next to her of younger Benny playing with Buddy.
Martha: You were a good dog, Buddy...I'll miss you.
...And then...the theme of Harris starts to play quietly in the background as she looks at another picture. On it, we see a younger Benny holding a plush Eagle...while having his hair ruffled by someone whose head is out of frame. A man with long legs, a skinny build, a silver watch on his left arm, a Safari jacket, and hiking boots. This makes Martha's expression sour slightly into a frown.
Martha: ...You too, Randall.
The episode ends with Martha walking towards her bedroom door while the camera stays focused on this picture of her son and husband.
