Metaloidia- The planet of Metaloidia is a naturally rocky grey and black planet with buildings of stone, metal, and glass. The terrain of this planet is littered with large expanses of metal scale and large mountains, the planet is entirely solid other than passages and tunnels created by the Metaloidians. The history of Metaloidia is a rough and battle scarred one. It is mentioned in the first few chapters that
They became a united empire under the leader that had formed to become the most powerful among them all. He would be the one chosen from the rest to be Ferrou. The Ferrou would be chosen when the bright light of the black hole was obscured by its shadow. The Ferrou had to dominate the strength, intelligence, and willpower of the previous Ferrou. If the challenger was not able to do this then the previous Ferrou would absorb him into his own.
This is mentioning the cycles of combat to gather a force behind a leader that would become the first Ferrou along with the ritual that would allow others to attempt to get the highest point of political power. Their society is based upon strength, durability, intelligence, and power. This variety of abilities allows beings like Hyden Gyrum to get high positions in society even though his durability is fabricated with a negative heating device. When Ferrou began his campaign of control over his planet there were many factions that had been standing for cycles that refused to bend to the revolutionary. Though through Ferrou's strength and conquest he was able to gain the loyalty of his enemies and established his reign over the planet.
