Epilogue
Minako stared at the other people at the table she sat at. One of them was Viktor Zakhaev, son of Imran Zakheav, who was also at the table. The pair started their own arms company following the collapse of the USSR in 1991, selling reproductions of Soviet firearms to not so legitimate buyers, like foreign militias, terror cells, even the odd cartel, though Menendez still held a solid monopoly on cartel firearms. Next was The man Minako truly wanted to speak with, Vladimir Makarov. A Russian paratrooper in Chechnya, and Berlin, she knew this man understood the world ripped away from her, and that he would fight for it without regard for the cost to Russia. After all, he had a reputation for particularly brutal warfare. The man was perfect for her goals, he was one to read Sun Tzu, and apply his tactics to a brutal letter. Minako wouldn't be surprised if he would fire on Russians, should the need arise. The meeting began as Minako cleared her throat.
"Gentlemen, we all come from different backgrounds, be it Soviet, or Russian. Rich or poor. Intelligence or Military" Minako began. "But we all have the same goal, to make our land great once more. We seek to eliminate the foreign influences on our leaders, to make our land dominant, no matter the cost. Individually, we cannot do much, we can only hold our lines and pray we do not falter, and eventually fall. But if we work together, we will succeed, we will tear down the chains that bind us to the world we live in, and replace them with our ideal world, but only if we unite as a legion. Brothers, will you join me?" Clapping came in response, and Imran Zakhaev stood up, addressing Minako.
"Comrade, we will give you our support, Zakhaev Arms will lead our men to battle, armed with our gear." Zakhaev proudly stated.
"You have my support as well, Minako." Makarov stated. "My men and I will fight to the death for us."
"I do have one condition." Zakhaev added before Minako addressed the two. "I want to lead our forces, if not, you will not receive support from Zakhaev Arms. Minako grimaced. This man could twist the goals of her people, away from the goals she had, not something she was comfortable with. But, she did need weapons and men, and Zakhaev had both.
"Of course." Minako stated, Feigning happiness. "I'll take a background role, I'm sure Makarov would be happy to take second in command." Makarov nodded as a voice began nagging at Minako in the back of her mind.
"The Paratrooper, Makarov, he sits much closer to your goals, and he seems to have a disagreement with Zakhaev, speak with him." The voice, who Minako had previously identified as Thanatos, informed Minako. After the meeting broke, Minako approached Makarov.
"I assume you have an issue with Zakhaev being in control as well?" Minako whispered.
"Indeed." Makarov responded. "He is not a true believer in our cause, he doesn't want to bring Russia back to its true glory." Minako nodded.
"Then shall we change that?" Minako asked with a grin. Makarov nodded.
"Indeed, we shall be the Inner Circle, the ones within our Ultranationalist cell." Makarov began. "For now, we should let him believe he's in charge, deceive him."
"All warfare is based on deception." Minako grinned, quoting Sun Tzu. Makarov returned the grin. It was all falling into place. Soon, a new world, a red world, shall rise. This was only the beginning, all humankind would know true paradise when she held the world.
A/N: It's finally done. I'm happy to say that book 2 of the Skull Verse is finally finished. I absolutely loved this one, it was a treat to write Minako into the story of Cold War, and I'm very excited for the next entries. The plan so far is this: MW2 Adaptation, MW3 Adaptation, BO2 Adaptation, original zombies adaptation, either Ghost Recon or Rainbow Six adaptation, Far Cry 5, CoD Ghosts, or COD IW Zombies adaptation (with heavy story changes). So you know who will be the main focus of each one without major spoilers, here's the characters I plan to use:
GR or R6: A dedicated soldier escaping a shadow and aiming to prove herself
FC, Ghosts, or IW: A man of business with little courage or guts trying to scrape by and become a bigger person
